I first visited Coppell Deli on or about 2010. I worked near the Deli. At that time, I recall it was a small place but with a big Dallas Cowboys atmosphere. They have a dirt/gravel driveway, parking lot. Today, 2026, I visited and am impressed with the renovations, the upgrades. this place is more like 3.5 out of 5 stars. i ended up getting a California burger combo with tater tots, and it was close to 20 bucks. I thought that was a rip off, but honestly its a lot of food, and i definitely had leftovers. The burger was really well made and the tater tots were crispy and delicious. Wife got the lady burger combo.... and i think this was a better deal if you plan on eating there without taking food home. Would it be weird if guys ordered the lady combo, if they aren't too hungry?!?! They have two TVs playing. They also have a lot of cowboys memorabilia. This is a frequent go-to of ours. It doesn't seem like much, but the food is really good. They do burgers nicely, and the portion sizes are always large. I've tried the gyros as well, and they were good. I like that they sell beer and wine as well. Service is pretty decent, you just order at the counter. I also like that they have a patio. My only recommendation is that during patio season, keep the patio clean. It is a shame when it cannot be used because of dirt. All in all, I do recommend you give it a try! read more

It had been a few years since I had last eaten here, and unfortunately the service has gone downhill. There were 2 young and unprofessional counter employees with zero customer service skills. Just snotty off the bat, and acted like they did not want to take a food order. The girl had an attitude and couldn't look me in the eye for some reason, right off the bat. If this is the "standard" for food service these days, then I will forgo ever stepping foot in this restaurant again. Food was good, and very plentiful, however, the snooty attitudes was a huge turnoff. If this visit was a one off, then I may try again at a later date. I've wanted to eat here since watching Madden talk about it on Thanksgiving Day broadcasts. I've gotten a bit bigger since then so the sandwiches maybe aren't as big as they would have been to me 40 years ago, but I was all grins seeing all the memorabilia in the place. Was the cherry on top of our game day weekend out to Arlington. And maybe next time I'll get two sandwiches. Coppell Deli is located in "Old Town" Coppell. Great location and if you're a Cowboys fan (like me!) you'll love all of the memorabilia that lines the walls. If you're not, you'll just enjoy a great meal. The cook and servers are always very friendly. They keep fresh self-serve coffee handy, including decaf, which I can't say for everywhere I go. What's pictured are the Stubbs Special and the Nate's Special. This isn't a fancy place with fancy food but it's a quaint local spot with great food, in generous portions, a comfortable atmosphere at a reasonable price. Win-Win-Win-Win! read more

I really liked this place, but a little torn on this review. The people were incredibly nice, the ambiance was great, service was really fast, and the tater tots were good! I had a turkey and cheese sandwich. The bread was toasted and there was tons of meat, including bacon. With all this said, the sandwich was just ok. I had the Reuben sandwich and fries the rye bread could stay in the toaster a bit longer but the sandwich was a messy miracle in my mouth and hands and the French fries were perfectly cut and cooked. I just didn't go to Cowboy Football games, they were my heroes and idols. They felt like my family and as they did to all of my friends. I remember crying when my favorites got hurt or traded. As a teenager, I flipped burgers for many and spent hours talking to them when they came in the restaurant. A few (Landry, Staubach, Cliff Harris and Gene Stallings) pointed me in a life direction through Texas A&M and the US Army. While I was off in Europe during the Cold War, the Cowboys moved to Valley Ranch, down the road from the Coppell Deli. While there, their huge appetites influenced the Coppell Deli over the years and that brings us to my review. When I'm hungry and work stressed, I want to eat something with enough protein that tastes great so I can focus on the tasks at hand. This is where I come for a breakfast or lunch or dinner. This is the home of The Stubbs. A buttered Texas toast with delightfully scrambled eggs, some cheese, a huge spicy sausage patty and perfectly cooked bacon. I add mayonnaise to it. That is a good rib filling breakfast that lasts me until dinner. I've had some of their other NFL legend favorites' picks to include the massive double meat bacon cheeseburger (it will split your gut if not careful). Everything I've tried is filling and tastes great! The decor on the outside seems quaint, hospitable and inviting. Once in the door, it is about great food, beverages of your choice and Dallas Cowboy Pride. Yes, Dallas Cowboy items hang in honor on the wall. I understand why and it does make me smile, especially Superbowl winning team pictures. A few TVs on the wall make it great to catch a game as you gorge. The small bar does make this a really cool deli as does the large wall sized reach in cooler with lots of drinks. The large menu board over the order counter gives you the options. The menu names speaks of NFL greats. You can't go wrong with an NFL Hall of Fame namesake menu item. If John Madden and Peter King endorse this place, then you know you are in great hands! My last trip was for The Stubbs Special with Mayo and a chocolate milk to go. 3 minutes from ordering to sack in hand and back on the way to work. Deli prices now getting out of hand. A double cheeseburger or bacon cheeseburger for $19. 2 eggs, a sausage or bacon, hash browns & toast for $15. Really? I get a bigger & better double cheeseburger at Sonic for $6.79. I don't mind paying a little more for a sit-down restaurant, but the prices are getting ridiculous. Texas Roadhouse, which is a much nicer atmosphere isn't even charging these type prices. They lost me as a long time regular. I can't reward greed, especially being in this industry and knowing food prices have not been going up. When I came in, this place had a long huge line, so I thought the food was going to be amazing. Turns out, it was very lackluster. Fries and patty melt are mediocre. The fries were a little soggy and the patty melt was nothing special either, though I did appreciate how it wasn't as greasy as some other places with Patty melts. Bread on the patty melt was soft and not super buttery unlike a lot of places, which I appreciate. It was just kind of soggy. Prices were a bit higher, and it would be one thing if the food justifed that, but it just doesn't. I think they need to pick, are they a comfort food neighborhood diner? If so, reflect that in the pricing. If you only want to be that in image only and keep your pricing, then food needs to be of higher quality. This leads me to my next point, since this is Texas (especially in the suburbs of Dallas), the term "deli" has a looser meaning. But even with that in mind, this place is not a deli. All in all, this place is overrated and nothing special. read more

A nice, quaint spot in a cute part of town. Would definitely eat here again. FOOD: I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was good. Maybe a tad dry, but I wasn't mad that I was eating it. The fries and sweet tea were stellar. Everyone else in my party got burgers and they all really enjoy them. They are pretty big though so keep that in mind! SERVICE: The cashier was very nice and our food came out quickly (we were the only ones in there at the time, but it seemed like as more people filled it this was still the case.) The menu has a ton to choose from (including breakfast options) so there is something for everyone here! It's got fun decor and lots of seating. They also do carry out! Today I had lunch at Coppell Deli. Normally my lunch experiences here are good ones, but not today. The cashier was very unprofessional. I'm not what her name is as she wouldn't give it it to me. I asked her about an added charge for "non cash adjustment" on my receipt. She said, "what does it say there?" I told her that I had not been made aware that there'd be an added fee for using a card rather than paying cash. She said, "there's a sign that tells you." Her tone and demeanor was very unprofessional, so much so that I will more than likely not return to this establishment, as long this unprofessional person is working there. There are many other places that I could've chosen to go, but the burgers here are good. We often order large orders for luncheons at work but I will make sure to suggest that we order from other establishments going forward. read more
