I tried the Salmon Benedict which comes with a perfect poached egg and your favorite side. The egg Benedict is pretty tasty. Service was decent. I have been loving their chimichurri steak and eggs hash, but since I order to go for convenience, i am either happy or sad when I get home because some days it's cooked perfectly and some days the potatoes are undercooked, steak tough, or just bland and it is as if the cook just placed all the ingredients in a pan without checking because they all clumped together and the no flavor. My go-to is always their Hash, this trip I got their market hash, which is peppers and mushrooms over their potatoes with 2 eggs cooked perfectly the way you like it. The service for this restaurant in the past, has been fabulous. It has since declined. The packaged sugar container on the table had whipping cream slashed all over the side of it. When asked to replace it, it was clearly brought back wiped off, not washed, and refilled with unsoiled packages of sugar. The water glasses left to us were all dirty on the inside and spotty from dish washing. So, I went out and got my wife her drink from the car to consume with brunch. This was my first time at First Watch and overall it was a good experience. I met a friend here for lunch and it wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and patient. Even though it was lunch time he didn't rush us to leave when the check was ready. It may seem like a little thing, but I appreciated us being able to scan a QR code and split the bill on our phone. It made the checkout process smooth and easy. I decided to have the Elevated Egg sandwich and it was very tasty. I usually have to have some type of sauce on my sandwich, but the over easy egg and the lemon-dressed arugula were a perfect match for this sandwich. Typically, I swap out the potatoes for fruit, but I was feeling carbie today so I kept the potatoes and they did not disappoint. Perfect amount of seasoning, they were light yet crunchy, and I didn't even need ketchup with them. My friend had the avocado toast and they did not scrimp on the avocado. She had so much that she asked for another piece of toast to go with it. She said the over easy eggs were perfectly cooked and although she originally thought she wasn't hungry, she ate every bit. They have a great menu with lots of variety. I look forward to coming back on the weekend when I can partake in one of their cocktails. I Love a good brunch. My husband comes here about 2x per month with his coffee group on Saturday at 8am. He says it usually isn't crowded. But I'll tell ya... it IS crowded around 10:30am on a Saturday. They said a 20 min wait, but it was only around 10 mins. There is a place in San Francisco that I think originated "Million dollar bacon" - and let me tell you - it is the golden standard - At a place called Sweet Maple, it will run you $20 for 3 slices I think. But is is SUPER THICK bacon, an is slow cooked for about 10 hours. The million dollar bacon here - is only about $6 for 4 slices, and it is NOT the same, it is just regular sliced bacon with a glaze, still delicious, but not in the same universe. I also got the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were huge and I took home 2/3 of them for leftovers. I would like to try just their regular pancakes too, and maybe the french toast. Hubbs got the special eggy carnitas quesadilla. He liked it, and also took home 1/2. Solid Brunch spot to work your way through the menu. read more

At first, I was a bit skeptic when my friend suggest First Watch. The one closer to my house isn't that great, but I learned that different franchise owners may create a better experience for you. I gave it a try. You don't know until you try, right? Lots of parking around the building. There's also a strip of other food places nearby. I noticed that this area may be still developing, so that'll be exciting to see what's in store for this area. The waiting time wasn't long. The restaurant seemed organized, service had clear communication, and the noise level wasn't too loud. I had the chicken avocado salad with a purple haze. I have this obsession with lavender and it was very tasty, not too sweet, but not too tart. Perfection in my eyes. The salad was a typical salad. The service understood what I didn't want on the salad. I was quite impressed with the server - she didn't write anything down. A+! We saw a friend sitting in a few booths behind us. The server was gracious and let us sit with our friend, but don't worry, we still tipped both servers. They were flexible and didn't mind us being together. This was my first visit to this location and it will be my last. I am so used to the warm and friendly atmosphere of the First Watch in PCB, FL (they have a 4.5 star Yelp rating, btw!) that my experience at this Coppell location was a huge letdown. The moment my friends and I walked in, we stood in front of the host stand and waited patiently for assistance as there was an employee at the register assisting customers with payment. The restaurant was at about 50% occupancy. Immediately to our left we observed two other employees discussing at length how the floor was to be cleaned later. After about five minutes of not receiving a greeting from anyone, one of them finally decided to address us and said, "Did you guys want a table?" I replied, "Yes!", with a slightly furrowed brow as the answer to that question seemed obvious. She responded with a somewhat pukey face, "Are YOU okay?" I said, "I'm fine. Are YOU okay?" She responded, "I'm fine, I..." I had to interrupt, "I'm just not used to being completely ignored when I walk in a place." She responded "I wasn't ignoring you. We were talking about cleaning the floor, but I wasn't ignoring you." At that point the person she had been discussing the floor with said, "My apologies." After being seated, I learned from my friends that they often hesitate dining here because of this exact apathy upon arrival. They added that they have also received this treatment from a particular server whom they've complained about a couple of times directly to management, but it has yielded zero change. I also learned that the person at the front that offered an apology today is in fact the manager. So not only is she aware of this environment, she participates in it which ultimately means she perpetuates it. It starts at the top, folks. It could be crispier, but otherwise is always delicious. The Million Dollar breakfast sandwich is incredible (part of the winter menu). I was not impressed with the crab avocado toast, though (previous menu). Otherwise, everything is usually very good! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is simply the lack of consistency - dishes do not seem the same every time you come by. One time you may get a dish and it's perfect, then you come a month later and it doesn't even seem like it was prepared the same way as before. That is my ONLY complaint. Hannah was our server and took great care of us! Not overbearing, but perfectly attentive and friendly! She deserves a raise. We love nearby and definitely will continue to come get our fix! One of the best places to have some breakfast style food. Hands down. They have a seasonal menu that you can choose from that has great choices every time the new one comes out. This time i tried the million dollar bacon sandwich. WOW!! This needs to be a normal item on the menu. Its soooooo good. I'll definitely miss it when it's gone! So sweet and savory. Great balance! I tried the Red Medicine. It was okay for me. Not my favorite. I'm sure its a hit with other people though. The pecan cinnamon roll was ohhhh soooo delicious. Food and service is great. Be careful when paying with the cashier people! Our ticket was $59 and some change. I asked the cashier to split it halfway. My half came out to $29 and some change. The 20% tip button was over $10. I don't know how you got $10 from $29 * 20%. You guys need to fix that because it's flat out wrong. 20% of $59 is only $11.80. Not only did I have a horrible experience with my First Watch order, I was told by an account manager in October that I would receive coupons as an apology for the horrible service. It is now December and not only have not received a coupon but not an email or a phone call to say that I was never going to receive what was promised.
