lone star brisket hash * seasonal
    Nes A.

It is a hit or miss depending on who is making your food. I have been loving their chimichurri steak and eggs hash, but since I order to go for convenience, i am either happy or sad when I get home because some days it's cooked perfectly and some days the potatoes are undercooked, steak tough, or just bland and it is as if the cook just placed all the ingredients in a pan without checking because they all clumped together and the no flavor. There is no consistency :( I think I will have to stop coming here because of that.

Popular brunch place with made to order dishes. Their menu is pretty large with a seasonal menu that uses seasonal ingredients. I tried the Salmon Benedict which comes with a perfect poached egg and your favorite side. The egg Benedict is pretty tasty. Service was decent. There are plenty of tables, but probably a good idea to make a reservation as it can get pretty crowded. Home-y environment feel to it.

If you have never been, what are you waiting for? This place has been around a minute and it never disappoints. My go-to is always their Hash, this trip I got their market hash, which is peppers and mushrooms over their potatoes with 2 eggs cooked perfectly the way you like it. I also grabbed a side of their pork sausage. My girlfriend ordered their amazing million dollar bacon and their DELICIOUS pumpkin donut holes-- they are to die for! This was my first time at this location and it was so nice, I love their high ceilings and big windows and the location was perfect right off the highway. Not pictured is a traditional bfast & their pumpkin pancakes, ordered to-go along with my favorite drink Purple Haze; it's like a dreamy summer :)

It's been years since I've eaten at First Watch. I was hesitant to return but I'm glad I did. It seems like they've changed the menu and the food was much better than what I remember.

    Some sort of healthy wrap

Saturday morning waited for almost 50 mins and finally decided to sit on the patio. The food is "okay". It has many healthy options but the taste is meh and not good. Will NOT retuned!

Very good service and fast service. Good breakfast options. Went there on a sunday morning, not so busy. The only disspointment from this place was, menu says hashbrown, but it was clearly homefries and very salty.

The service for this restaurant in the past, has been fabulous. It has since declined. The packaged sugar container on the table had whipping cream slashed all over the side of it. When asked to replace it, it was clearly brought back wiped off, not washed, and refilled with unsoiled packages of sugar. The water glasses left to us were all dirty on the inside and spotty from dish washing. So, I went out and got my wife her drink from the car to consume with brunch. The music was louder than usual as well, to compete with the loud patrons, so it was like eating in a cafeteria. The food was the only saving factor.

This was my first time at First Watch and overall it was a good experience. I met a friend here for lunch and it wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and patient. Even though it was lunch time he didn't rush us to leave when the check was ready. It may seem like a little thing, but I appreciated us being able to scan a QR code and split the bill on our phone. It made the checkout process smooth and easy. I decided to have the Elevated Egg sandwich and it was very tasty. I usually have to have some type of sauce on my sandwich, but the over easy egg and the lemon-dressed arugula were a perfect match for this sandwich. Typically, I swap out the potatoes for fruit, but I was feeling carbie today so I kept the potatoes and they did not disappoint. Perfect amount of seasoning, they were light yet crunchy, and I didn't even need ketchup with them. My friend had the avocado toast and they did not scrimp on the avocado. She had so much that she asked for another piece of toast to go with it. She said the over easy eggs were perfectly cooked and although she originally thought she wasn't hungry, she ate every bit. They have a great menu with lots of variety. I look forward to coming back on the weekend when I can partake in one of their cocktails. I'll definitely bring the family back as there appears to be something for everyone.

I wanted to try something new and had the lavender lemonade. It was refreshing on a spring day.

The service was quick and attentive. The egg sandwich was delicious and the upgrade it promised to be. However, the potatoes were too salty and an overwhelming amount. I would get fruit in the future. The lavender lemonade was a refreshing drink in a spring day.

Great location in Irving for breakfast or lunch. I have been to several locations and the customer service was outstanding at this location. Many wonderful options on the menu and very fresh. Make sure you stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

Wow! This place is super good! When you leave it will only be with a smile or your face! Stays pretty busy but it's worth the wait! Love all the breakfast items here! Huge fan of the French toast and bacon! - they have a nice assortment of breakfast items! Loved the Bloody Mary - spicy of course! Great for good family vibes! Super clean establishment and the host is very attentive and nice!

This was my first visit to this location and it will be my last. I am so used to the warm and friendly atmosphere of the First Watch in PCB, FL (they have a 4.5 star Yelp rating, btw!) that my experience at this Coppell location was a huge letdown. The moment my friends and I walked in, we stood in front of the host stand and waited patiently for assistance as there was an employee at the register assisting customers with payment. The restaurant was at about 50% occupancy. Immediately to our left we observed two other employees discussing at length how the floor was to be cleaned later. After about five minutes of not receiving a greeting from anyone, one of them finally decided to address us and said, "Did you guys want a table?" I replied, "Yes!", with a slightly furrowed brow as the answer to that question seemed obvious. She responded with a somewhat pukey face, "Are YOU okay?" I said, "I'm fine. Are YOU okay?" She responded, "I'm fine, I..." I had to interrupt, "I'm just not used to being completely ignored when I walk in a place." She responded "I wasn't ignoring you. We were talking about cleaning the floor, but I wasn't ignoring you." At that point the person she had been discussing the floor with said, "My apologies." After being seated, I learned from my friends that they often hesitate dining here because of this exact apathy upon arrival. They added that they have also received this treatment from a particular server whom they've complained about a couple of times directly to management, but it has yielded zero change. I also learned that the person at the front that offered an apology today is in fact the manager. So not only is she aware of this environment, she participates in it which ultimately means she perpetuates it. It starts at the top, folks. Ratings: 0/5 Host 4/5 Server (today's anyway) 2/5 Food tasted good, but was cold 5/5 Bacon cooked crisp 5/5 Decor I would like to say that I resent having to write a negative review because that's not my style. Lately, if the food hasn't been great at a restaurant, I just flat out won't give a review because any kitchen can have a bad day. But when the front of the house treats customers with apathy and disdain, I think everyone should know about it. In the metroplex, we have far too many excellent choices of where to spend our hard earned food dollars to ever put up with a restaurant whose culture it is to act like they are doing you a favor by offering you a seat at their table.

There are multiple budget hotels in the area and the only food choices within reasonable walking distance are Denny's, gas stations and an outdoor food shed at another motel. There is a well curated list of local craft beers (8). Make a point to ask for the separate alternative "healthy menu". The food on that menu is very different from the comfort food on the main menu and it is available in half orders. I tried a half order of chicken and avocado arepas and a half order of tuna tataki. Both were delicious and visually pleasing. Staff is attentive, engaged but not intrusive. Prices for these two items were $8 each, very reasonable.

This includes a few nights at the bar and 2 nights in my room. The staff was never overly inviting but they were usually busy with a demanding crowd of hotel guests. Ordering through the Marriott app looked like a great option but it wouldn't work once they asked you how you'd like to pay. When you go downstairs and scan their QR code, it brings you to the same interface but on a website rather than an app, and that worked fine. The chicken wrap with fries was pretty good and was my go to. The house salad wasn't great and I wouldn't try it again. The half order of the tuna was decent but I loved the pickled veggies under them and would have just had a bowl of those! I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but having this inside your hotel for convenience is nice.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.
