Inside it's open with plenty of seating (some outdoors too), has Yolk's bright blue and yellow colors, but my favorite features are the big windows which let in the the sun's natural light. 1 Star. Service - Our server was great. She was very attentive and made sure we always had our mugs filled with coffee. I appreciated the friendly service that was all smiles. 1 Star. Food - Yolk's menu has classic breakfast and brunch options but be sure you check to table for coffee specials. I ordered an Iced Apple Pie Latte that was served in a glass mason jar. This small detail allowed the Apple flavor to start my breakfast on a high note. Speaking of which, my Breakfast Mac & Cheese caught my attention when it was served in a skillet. I intended to only eat half, but the smokey ham paired with the creamy mac & cheese under a light panko layer was too delicious for me to stop. The prices are a bit on the high side, but otherwise a geat meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. DFW is getting many great breakfast/brunch spots like Yolk. I've frequented their Chicago location and when we found ourselves in Irving and in the mood for brunch we decided to try this location. The good: We were seated quickly and the restaurant felt very clean. There was a gentleman sweeping for our entire stop. Sad that was the end of the good. The Bad - After 5+ minutes, we asked for our server. She was found and stopped by within another couple of minutes. Fast forward to the food. It tasted fine, but was not very visually appealing. The Ugly: I asked for sugar-free sweeteners and the tardy server told me they didn't have any. Seriously? I asked someone else a few minutes later and he got it from the back. Fast forward to us finishing our meh meal and now we're forced to wait 5 more minutes before we just walked to the register when we found our server on her phone. SMH My wife (sweetest human ever) actually gave a $0 tip. Worst possible service and very "Sysco Food" breakfast. We will not be returning but I hope you have a better experience if you choose to go. read more

Yummy brunch spot in Las Colinas! No wait on a Saturday morning which was great. Service was a little slow but we were chatting so it didn't bother us too much! The inside is cute and very bright (maybe a little too bright right by the window with the sun shining through). The latte was delicious and decently priced. The food was a little pricy but tastes great to back it up. We got the lemon blueberry pancake and the cheesy egg sandwich. Three things that Yolk had that I have never seen before. 1) a five* egg omelette! Talk about filling! 2) cold brew served the same way drip coffee is served - and refillable! Food well let's see here got the chicken and waffles two of them actually and they come with your choice of how you want your egg. And it has bacon but very small amount in the center of your waffle hidden under the chicken breast smh had biscuits and gravy but you get a very but very small shot of sausage and gravy. Service is terrible because you have several person at first when are seated but then they forget about you. And you can't help for the ambience because it's just plain loud when there's lots of people here at brunch time. I will give it to them. First time to this location in Las Colinas with friends. Went on a Saturday for brunch and they were hopping busy! I checked-in with the Hostess. I loved the updates they provided via text. No other place does that. Holmes was our server. He was very courteous and friendly. Both friends ordered the chicken and waffles with scrambled and over hard eggs. Their waffles were so cute. I ordered the Works omlette and it came with potatoes and choice of breads. I picked ab English muffin. The portions were big. We each ate half of our food. The food came out hot and fresh. Paced perfectly from beginning till end. Food-wise their menu is wonderful. Had a hard time choosing. My colleague and I decided both on custom made skillets. Be careful where you sit! As I was about to leave, I noticed white substance on the seat next to me. It was not anything which could be brushed off. Fortunately, my seat was not dirty. I was seated at a table meant for four diners. Neither the hostess nor the waitress removed the extra napkins & utensils. The tables were already set up with flavored & unflavored cream, as well as, brown sugar in a dispenser. For other sweeteners, such as, sugar and Splenda; that had to be requested. Unfortunately, my waitress forgot to return with the them. Another waiter had to remind my waitress, who was chatting with her colleagues, that I was still waiting for the Splenda. I ordered the El Torero Scrambler, opting for the $3 maple syrup as I was getting also pancakes. On a plus side, I was charged only $2. The scrambler looked like a flattened omelette or pancake. Although it softened the scrambled eggs even further, the salsa added some additional flavor to the eggs. With the side of pancakes, it was definitely a lot of food. If I had not splurged on the maple syrup, I would have passed on them. I barely finished half and hardly ate any of the potatoes. I had been looking forward to dining at this location. Previously, dining at Yolk required a long drive into Dallas. Then again, I never experienced almost sitting on a dirty chair at either of the two Dallas locations. read more

Yolk is a solid spot for breakfast. They have plenty of parking, have a huge menu, and pretty decent latte options. The restaurant was also tastefully decorated for the holidays. Our server was very attentive throughout breakfast. My mother and I ordered lattes and then decided on breakfast entrees. I liked the spice of the chilaquiles but didn't love the pancake. The toppings were great and creative, but the actual pancake was mediocre. The latte was also creative and good, but a tad too sweet for me. I'd go half sweet next time. Stopped by for a weekend brunch with the kids. It was busy but we were seated quickly which was nice. The workers were very nice and accommodating with 2 young boys. Started off with a hot chocolate which is everything you could wish for: generous portion, chocolatey and delicious whipped cream on the top. Wow, what an amazing experience! We had a group of 6 and we were greeted as soon as we entered. The windows all around the restaurant helped add beautiful sunlight to the open, airy diner. Our server, Karla, was phenomenal. She was attentive and friendly, always wearing a smile. I opted for the salmon with poached eggs, freshly wilted spinach and seasoned potatoes. It also came with a side of either pancakes, toast or English muffin (which is what I chose.) It was all SO delicious, including their homemade hollandaise sauce and also their house made hot sauce. Our waitress, understandably busy, took her time before coming over, and during that lull, the table next to us got seated, ordered, and served. No sweat; we're zen like that. The Monte was great；hints of spice and a fairly sweet flavor in the toast, but a slightly dry and overall less flavorful filling. Of course, it might be that I just don't like swiss or turkey. However, the mayo in the filling does wonders for it. Hash browns were supposed to be very salty according to other Yelp reviewers, but it seems they have improved on it a lot. read more

GO HERE!!! The food is absolutely phenomenal!! Big menu with lots of breakfast and lunch options, a little overwhelming but there is something for everyone. I love that you could get a single crepe, waffle or pancake. The bloody Mary was great, Benedict was creamy and coffee was strong. The vibes inside were great! Our waiter was busy but nice and conversed with us. The pricing was good and overall had a great time! They also have their own in house hot sauce which was sooo good. My only downside was they don't seat tables without the full party being there. I get that but we were from out of town and were missing 2 people who were on their way and they still wouldn't sit us. The hash browns are bland, the chicken is way too salty, eggs over cooked and the sauce tastes of nothing. Everything was just bland with no flavor. The servers were un-attentive. We were also served later than other groups whom of which were larger than us two The largest issue though was the women's restroom. My girlfriend had gone and sent me this photo. This location opened recently. I ordered take out via online today, but definitely plan to dine in soon. I ordered a build-your-omelette with cheese, tomatoes, and bacon. If you love cheese like myself be forewarned that the cheese was only on top. That was disappointing. It tasted fine, lots of bacon, but the cheese was the driving force behind me wanting an omelette. The omelette came with side options. I went with the pancakes and potatoes. I'll try the pancakes later today although hot is always better than reheated. Too full to do so now. When I picked up the food, I noticed the muffins on the counter and couldn't resist leaving with a cream cheese muffins which will be tomorrow's breakfast.
