The Lennys Subs is right next to my dentist, and I always thought I should try them out. I had a bit of time before a flight and decided to do just that. I made a mobile order and swung by on my way to the airport. When I walked in, it wasn't in their mobile order stand and there was no one at the counter. I waited a short time for someone to come from the back, and my sandwich was ready, but sitting packed up, behind the counter. Why have a mobile order pickup area of you don't use it? I ordered the turkey bacon avocado. It is a bit cheaper from the other chain sub shop in Grapevine, and I was interested to see how they matched up. First off, they added my pickles. I like pickles and it can slip past people's attention, as it is not a standard topping. The bread was soft and the sandwich was a good size. The bacon was nice and crispy, but I found the filling a little skimpy. The turkey was completely lost. The strongest flavors were provelone and bacon, but it is essentially a turkey sandwich. There just wasn't much of it. Nor the veg. Lettuce and tomato were just barely present. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't GOOD. It has been over a year since I last ate at Lennys. Although I got a medium cheesesteak again, this time I went for the combo. The potato chips kept me busy while waiting for the sub. This time, most of the chopped steak stayed inside the bread. For drinks, I opted for the watermelon lemonade which was refreshing. The watermelon flavor subdued the sourness of the lemonade. Unfortunately, while I was having eating, all the employees left the kitchen area took up a table by the door. I am very picky about my subs. Subway, Firehouse, and most local sandwich shops are SUBpar...Lennys has the best I've had in a very long tome. I've ordered there three times in the last week. The Mac and Cheese is okay, not my favorite. But they put the right amount of what you order on their sandwiches so you taste everything. The bread is amazing. Finally got away for lunch and was seriously hungry! You know, savage snarling kind of hungry. Thought I would grab a healthy turkey sandwich and Yelp pointed me this way. Easy to find, plenty of parking and walking up my hungry stomach said look there, they have Philly Cheesesteak! As I walked into this squeaky clean, COVID protocols in place sandwich shop for the turkey sandwich my stomach and taste buds took control and made me order the Philly Cheesesteak combo! In no time, I had my drink, bag of BBQ chips and well packaged Philly Cheesesteak. I'm a novice when it comes to Philly Cheesesteaks. I had mine with lettuce and tomato (you know, a salad with my meal ;) ). WOW, what an excellent flavor! Meat was finely sliced, grilled perfectly, onions grilled with the meat and the bread was heavenly in texture and flavor! The meal made me smile the rest of the day. Been open since November 2019. Black-owned and operated. Had a diverse crew working. The team is courteous. Establishment is clean; including the bathroom. Ordered three cheesesteaks and a hot Italian. The bread really sets it off! Better than Jimmy John's and other sandwich shops. I'll definitely be back and you should check this place out. read more

I really enjoyed my cheesesteak here at Lenny's it came out amazing! I have driving past Lenny's for quite some time, until finally I stopped in the other week. I really wish I would have stopped by sooner! The staff here are very helpful in helping you decide on what to order. I asked what the most popular item was and it is of course the cheesesteak! The roll of the cheesesteak was soft to the touch and the meat, cheese and onions combo was delicious. My only compliant is that sadly no banana peppers for my cheesesteak. I survived but man, when you add some banana peppers it just hits the spot. Other than that, Lenny's cheesesteak is just as good as anything out of Philly. Now I did not try one "wit wiz"* but that might be another time. *Check out Pat's or Gino's in South Philly to understand what that means. I was looking on Uber eats for a cheesesteak and I saw this place.I've never eaten at this place before and thought I would give it a shot.And it did not disappoint.I got the medium cheesesteak with jalapeño.It was plenty big enough.The bread was nice and soft and the meat was tender.It was a good solid cheesesteak.The only thing I was disappointed in was when I was looking at the toppings i didn't see any mushrooms.That was the only thing missing from my sandwich.Other then that it was pretty tasty and I would recommend it.I'll definitely eat here again. read more

I am giving them a 5 for Covid-19 cleanliness and consciousness. I am seeing too many places slipping and getting way too comfortable. Lenny's is NOT one of those places. When I walked in the place was spotless. The staff greeted me warmly and went to work on my lunch immediately. All while wearing their masks, washing their hands, and practicing safety protocals. This was my first visit to Lenny's and I was impressed. I ordered the #8 which is a Cheesesteak Sandwich. It did not taste like a fast food sandwich at all. I had the cheese steak with bacon sub. It was ok. Being from New york I'm used to subs with crusty italian bread. While this bread is made fresh, it's too soggy for my taste. That being said the service was decent. This is no different than any other chain sub store. Nothing special. read more

Philly Cheesesteak? More like Philly cheese-quake! Passed by here multiple times and didn't think much of it with the sea of sandwich shops we have in suburban north Texas. With one recommendation from a trusted source, I thought I'd give it a shot. Rumble of flavors received from the Bacon Cheesesteak. Perfectly sliced meat, sweet onions, crispy bacon, and a decadent cheese in-between fresh soft bread. The staff was very friendly and brought the sandwich's directly to our table unlike most subway/Jersey mike style sub shops. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars was because I wish the bread was warmed or toasted to compliment the fresh, delicious meat filling. Everything else was superb! It has been years since i have been to a Lennys Subs. I used to go weekly to the downtown Dallas location when i worked downtown. The to the Dallas location that was close to Addison as well. So, it was disappointing to lose a favorite location of mine. Yet, i have been overjoyed to find this one location opened up in Grapevine not far from my job. My co-worker and i walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff and the Owner. They were very nice and accommodating to our needs or questions. I ordered like i used to the Monster Philly Cheesesteak fully loaded with hot relish, chili pepper, and jalapenos. I like my Philly with a kick to it. They made it just like i used to order it years ago. The flavor is still amazing and they didnt disappoint one single bit. My co-worker it was his first time and got the chicken Philly and he is highly impressed. He already told me we need to hit Lennys up again so. I agree and happy a Lennys location is back. I was in the area and looking for a delicious sandwich place. I saw the reviews for Lenny's so I decided to try it for myself. OMG it is delicious! The bread is soft but hearty. They have a delicious pepper relish that I added to my hot Italian sandwich. I will definitely be back. The customer service was great! More places need to have their service. Acknowledged me as soon as I walked in, checked in on me while I ate, and then after I got up to throw away my trash a worker came and got it from me. I hate that customer service isn't a priority at a majority of places, but Lenny's definitely stands apart. Great food and service! read more

Was thinking a cheap lunch at Taco Bell when I saw Lenny's across the street and decided on something healthier. A quick whip of the wheel and I was at Lenny's. Greeted by a person who seemed incredibly happy to be there, he helped me make choices while he was using the grill making a hot meat and cheese something sammy. Chose turkey and cheese medium size sandwich. It was approx $7.50 and about the same size as a Subway but this one had a lot more meat and the bread was softer. The greeter & sandwich guru stopped by our table wanting to ensure our food was good and offered us some of their famous hot sauce. Between the greeting and coming to the table, he seemed to care so much that I actually asked if he was Lenny. Imagine my shock when he said no, his name was Mike and I assume he was an employee. Looking around I noticed that the small place was very clean! If you're looking for a good sammich with more meat and for less $ then Subway and great customer service, go here.
