Found this place on a whim. Had a couple of mins for lunch and wanted to support a local spot. The restaurant was fairly clean and the tv was playing a show I liked. I order the fish fillet combo with a side of fries. It took a moment for the food to come out, but the service was nice so I didn't mind the wait. However, it was not good. The fish was flavorless and tasted of old grease. The fries were better, but not by much. Everything was cooked to order, but the taste and quality did not live up to standards. if I could put 0 stars I would. I ordered from this restaurant on 10/9/2026 , i ordered late so I had a good amount of leftovers. I go to eat my leftovers on 10/10/2026 and I find a staple in my cheesesteak. I tried to get the issue resolved with DoorDash but of course all they were willing to do is refund me for the cheesesteak. So my last resort was speaking to the manager of the establishment. Granted, it has been 2 days since i ordered, but I was hoping DoorDash would give me a reasonable solution to this problem. No I did not suffer any injuries but that shouldn't matter when I could've easily been injured had I kept eating, there probably would've been even MORE staples. Today 10/11/2026 I spoke with the manager, didn't get his name, but he of course provided no help nor did he care that I found a staple in the food his employees prepared. He told me it was "hard to believe that I found a staple in my food since I ordered on 10/9". I don't see how that matters if I would've found the staple regardless. Then he proceeded to not give me help because I "ordered through doordash and they have no control over what they do after they take to the food and deliver it" and they do staple the bags closed but it's no where near the food...? how does that make sense? but the manager proceeded to speak over me on the phone and tell me he would go "above and beyond to make sure the solution was solved" but proceeded to provide no solution since I ordered it through DoorDash and it's basically DoorDash's fault. I will never be eating from this place again, and if you do order from here , chew very slowly since they have staples near their food when they are preparing it. Extremely unprofessional in handling this situation since he basically didn't believe me since I ordered a few days ago....crazy. I'm pretty sure it was the bread it tasted like it was flown in from Philly. When you walk in and throughout your meal, the two men working will culturally treat you like family. A rarity to find where they anticipated needs and met those needs before we even realized it would make our visit easier. Especially kid friendly just because of the service! The food! WOW! I paid extra to have my sandwich on garlic bread, and it was on regular bread. They completely got my order wrong. On top of that, there was something very wrong with the food as I got horrible food poisoning that evening. My stomach hurt so bad that I almost went to the emergency room. This is small business in a nutshell, and for Muslims, they've got a dedicated passion for serving Zabihah halal you won't find just anywhere. The owner is a kind man, serving cheesesteaks out of passion and efficiency. He knows his business well and is happy to answer questions, take feedback and do what it takes to make his restaurant better. He's had a couple local food bloggers through the door so he's hoping to see some more traffic soon! The food here is simple, southern cheesesteaks. It's not the fast and greasy, slathered guilty pleasure of Philadelphia, but it gets the job done. I enjoyed the food and it was a good value, especially those home fries, but it all definitely needed more seasoning while on the grill. The chicken in particular really needs a good, tangy sauce to bring it alive and to let it dance in your mouth. With all that being said, I'm happy I came here and I look forward to how much they grow and change over time.
