I blame myself for this purchase--another reason not to buy corned beef or pastrami in the Irving area. This sandwich looked decent when I first opened the package, but that impression ended as soon as I touched the hard, stale bread. I tried to revive the meal with a nearby microwave, but it didn't help much. Once I bit into the sandwich, it was extremely dry. The Swiss cheese was hard, and at times the sandwich was so dry it almost felt dusty when I tried to swallow it. It was honestly inedible. I literally had to throw it out. read more

The service was excellent. I don't know if the manager felt my energy but I was upset. I had went to another establishment and order a Reuben (which is my favorite sandwich) and they gave me three slices of meat. Like it was horrible. But anyway, I drove to this location and I was served with a smile. My sandwich was fresh and I am mad I ate it all up. Like why did I do that? Now, I want another. This is my go-to for soup. I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I went to Jason's Deli to pick up some broccoli cheese soup. Service was great. The store is also neat. I was offered a drink while I waited which I declined. I have a habit of that which I'm trying to break. Honestly, I was just trying to get in and get out. Today I ordered through the app. I was in a hurry, I had to get back to work. When I checked in. The cashier asked if I was " pick up" I said yes. After waiting another 7 min or so. After a bunch of other people got there orders. She looked at the "to go rack" and there was my order. I guess there's a difference between "pick up and to go orders". So my food was already there getting cold. After I finally got it home. I opened it to see they forgot my au jus dip. On the app I just put "no sides" not no dip. Needless to say I went back and got my money back! The manager did offer a new sandwich and refund my money. I ran out of time and had to return to work. I had a wonderful experience at this Jason's deli! Earlier in the week I came down with a cold and was really wanting a good bowl of chicken noodle soup. I came here to order takeaway. I waited less than 10 minutes in the middle of a very busy lunch hour before my food was bagged and ready! I wish I knew the name of the older lady who handed me my order as she was exceptional. She was so warm and encouraged me to fill up with crackers and muffins from the salad bar. Food is healthy and affordable. For two bowls of soup, a large Texas spud, and a very big cookie, I paid less about $20. That doesn't even include all the wheat thins and ginger muffins that came with the meal. I have been to many Jason's Deli over the years and it's normally pretty good. Please note this day's experience: a. No place to sit due to many of the tables not being bussed. I had to clean my own table. b. The salad bar area with all the drinks, crackers, utensils, etc. Dirty! It was early lunch, and it looked like it was not cleaned up from the day before. c. Sandwich: My meat was dry, and it look like small left over pieces of pastrami left over night in the refrigerator (some of the pieces were cold some warm) . d. Excellent spot for a quick dinner that has healthy options! Their menu lists the caloric information for each of their items so if that is something you care about it is posted and helpful when choosing what to consume. The salad bar has loads of great options for greens, pasta salads, muffins, and ice cream. I was at a business around the corner and asked the girl working there what was good to eat around the area and she suggested Jason's based on what I told her my dietary preferences were. In my many visits to Jason's Deli, I've only ever had two things: the Mediterranian Wrap and the Ranchero Wrap. And of course the sides that come with each. And occasionally a Cranberry-Walnut-Oatmeal cookie. This cookie is the bomb! It's always fresh and flavorful. Uh, I digress as this is not a cookie review. Back to Jason's Deli. Unlike some of their competitors Jason Deli's uses mostly natural and/or organic ingredients. This makes for a much healthier and flavorful meal. When I visit this specific location I normally do 'carry-out' as a matter of preference. While they offer the option to order online ahead of time I never remember to take advantage of that. I end up placing my order there and waiting a few minutes for them to prepare it. The wait has never been very long; 5-7 minutes. This location does get very busy during the lunch hour rush. There is plenty of seating area at this location. I've never noticed anyone standing around looking for a table. They seem to always be staffed accordingly to handle the peak periods which keeps things moving along. So, I really really like Jason's Deli but strangely enough it's not for their sandwiches. I'm a big fan of their baked potatoes (which are incredible) and their pastas. I'm really surprised that it's the things that are not the staple of their business that impress me the most. FYI, parking at this location is hellacious during the lunch hour because of all the restaurants that share the same lot. Be aggressive if you want a spot! Normally I get the Plain Jane spud or the Texas spud depending on my mood, and both are always HUGE and delicious. You definitely get your money's worth with these and they are so yummy. I also really like their chicken alfredo because it has a really good flavor to it, and although it's not the largest portion and is a little more expensive, it's good if you're in the mood for pasta! However, lately I've been trying to be all good and healthy so I went for the chicken caesar salad (not the lowest calorie option, but better than a potato, and hey I'm TRYING here). This thing was so big I didn't even finish half of it, the other half is currently sitting in my fridge telling me to finish it. It was pretty good, and had a lot of chicken in it. The grated parmesan on top was very good, and I liked that caesar dressing, although it didn't seem to be the traditional caesar but some version of their own. I used to love Jason's and tried this location last week and yesterday. Forgot how good they were. Last week had half of a corned beef sandwich which was not much too it but the bread and meat was very good. Yesterday I was more hungry and I don't think i've tried the steak po boy before so got a regular one and it was sublime. Jason's is as good as Jersey Mike's but I think a little better and bigger. The staff weren't smiling or welcoming. The atmosphere was dead. I will not come back here especially since ai was visiting the area. My thoughts of a Jason's Deli was not met here this evening. Pros: Clean, fresh salad bar consistent with other locations. The service is also friendly and helpful here. Ample parking. Cons: Slightly congested seating. No small plates at the salad bar. These come in handy for little side items such as cottage cheese or muffins. There is only so much you can pile in that salad plate. And I don't know if this always the case, but there didn't appear to be any light Ranch dressing available. Still - a great choice for a salad during the hot summer.
