This Slim Chickens has got to be the friendliest and most efficient location in northern Texas!!! As a food delivery driver, I have interacted with 5 different Slim Chickens restaurants and this location OUTSHINES the others. Both the drive-thru experience and the dining area experience are equally met with enthusiasm, kindness and professionalism. My last pickup included a handwritten message on the receipt to the customer. Each ordered item was highlighted in purple and at the bottom of the receipt, the server wrote "Happy Sunday ". The customer lived 14 miles from this restaurant and when I handed his order to him, I mentioned that there was a location closer to his house. He told me that the Regent Blvd location was the best and that he only orders from this location!!! That is worth a mention. Hats off to Regent Blvd Slim Chickens!!! read more

Well, a friend from out of state recommended this place. Said it was better than Caines. In some ways, I can see why he thought that. For example, they also have wings, milkshakes, and salads... as well as chicken and waffles! Several different kinds of teas, as well as lemonade, and some other specialty drinks, along with your typical soda fountain (see pics). This location was recently built, so everything is newish, and well-maintained. There's a large inside dining area, as well as a small outside covered dining area. The atmosphere is your typical fast food casual. They did a good job of taking the order, and explaining their menu. The food came out fairly quickly. However, we ordered our french fries, extra crispy and not only were they not extra crispy, they weren't even hot. The chicken was excellent and hot! Note: They have a large selection of dipping sauces, which Caines does not. The chicken fingers, fries are served with toast, but not Texas toast, and does not include coleslaw.... Which may explain why their pricing appears to be slightly lower than Caines. We will definitely be back, the expanding menu with shakes is appealing to us! Went here for lunch with a coworker and honestly wasn't mad about it at all!!! We arrived close to 12 pm so it wasn't too many people there. I'm not sure if the cashier realized it was our first time being there but I will say I felt real rushed to make a choice, which I didn't like and should be noted. Again...there was literally one person behind us who had stated he was there to pick up an order. Once I got past that, I just made the quicker choice I could make which was to get the Slim's Meal (3 tenders/choice of side/drink). My coworker got the wing meal with a side of Mac and cheese and drink. I'm so glad I got the tenders. Not only were they juicy they were also very well seasoned so I was so happy with my choice. The lemonade...bomb! Not too tart or too sweet. It was just right. The fries were hot and seasoned well too. I tried a wing (buffalo) and It was the typical buffalo flavor. My friend said the Mac and cheese was ok. I'd try it myself to get a good personal review. For it to have been lunch time, the dining room wasn't packed at all. It was clean and I was happy that it wasn't too loud. The drink station was clean was definitely a breath of fresh air and they had a great variety of soft drinks, flavored lemonade and teas (several). Nice touch! The only thing I would have liked to have seen was someone cleaning the tables once diners left. I should also mention that there is a drive thru so if you want to try it that way it is an option. Overall dining experience was a 4 star. I go to lunch at 11am. (30 minutes) I tried slim chickens on regent Blvd. I probably got there with in 10 minutes...its close to work and I was first in line...I thought I had the advantage lol After the lovely lady took my order I drove to the window to pay...I sat there for a few minutes and noticed the lovely lady at the window looking in orders and writing something on top of them someone else was putting the boxes into a large paper bag that had catering on the side. So I honked and said I ordered a chicks meal, the lovely lady at the window said "we are waiting on chicken" ....at 11:15am there's no chicken? I went around lunch time and it was packed! The prices are pretty reasonable. I got the 5 piece combo which includes toast, one side and a drink. Not too bad for $8. At canes you only get like 4 strips for that price and they're about the same size strips. You also get to pick two sauces with your order. I tried the habenero ranch and their slim sauce. It took a few minutes for the order to come out but I assumed it was cause they were so busy. I got fries as my side and I was a little disappointed. I've had better fries at canes and chick fil a. But they also have other sides other than fries so next time I'll try something else! The sauces were pretty good too. The ranch was my favorite tho! Bad experience. 2 african american employees were very unprofessional. We stood in line for a while waiting to order while they both stood in the back whispering to each-other and laughing. My family and I probably visited monthly with no issues. Monthly is good considering there are probably 100 restaurants within a 5 mile radius. Ordinarily I would not stop going to a restaurant for one mistake however I will not be returning to this one because of ooor management and the lack of responsiveness. I placed an order in the drive-through and when we got home, realized our food was old and stale. This had never happened previously, so I was very shocked. I called the store and the manager Brooke was apologetic and promised to replace the meals. I went to collect the meal the next time I decided to go there and was told by the staff that my name was not on the list since it was not in the same month. That made no sense to me. They also said the manager was not there and would call me. Poor customer service, definitely, but fine whatever. Several days later I realize I had not received a call back so I called the restaurant they told me the manager was still not there, so once again, I left me name and number. No respobse. I called back a few days later and I was told the manager Brooke was there, but was busy. I left my information every single time and the third time is a charm. this is by far the worst experience i've had at a restaurant, I visited this restaurant 10/03/2020 around 7:30 pm, after ordering my food through the app. I waited in line with other cars for them to bring my food out. after waiting for about 30 minutes or so and seeing cars leave, the guy in the car ahead of me gets out and comes to my car. and tells me he called them and their system is shut down and don't know when they will be back up. I was irritated that NOBODY from the restaurant came out and told us anything and just let us wait outside. he then proceeds to tell the car behind me what is going on. and comes back and tells me that the people behind me said they talked to them and they would be bringing their food out shortly. I was confused as to why they could still bring their food out first, and not mines and I had been waiting 20 minutes longer than them. so as they bring the car behind me their food I asked them why couldn't I receive mines also when I had been waiting over 30 minutes. a lady who later indentified herself as the manager on duty. says to me in a very rude way "do you want a refund" as I am trying to just ask her to please bring my food out also, she cuts me off like she has as an attitude, and repeats "do you want a refund" I was shocked she was being so rude. then as another employee walked towards the store she asks me what's the problem. I explained I had been waiting over 30 mins for my food and this lady is being very rude. the second employee assures me she will get right on my order. and goes in the store. so as I am sitting there waiting another 15 minutes, and realizing they aren't working on my order. I call in to the store after I am finally able to get through, the rude lady I was talking to earlier identifies herself as the manager. starts being very disrespectful saying corporate told them to close the store until everything goes back to normal. I ask her why isn't anybody communicating that with me? so as I am about to leave, a male comes out to explain to me that the cooks said they're refusing to make anymore food and apologizes to me. as I am speaking to him. the manager comes back outside and tells me they're closing. Absolutely BEST customer service. Me and my coworkers ordered through Slim's website and door dash handled the delivery. Well so for whatever reason our door dasher marked our order as delivered even though he wasn't at our address and we call up there (DURING RUSH HOUR mind you) and they told us to come up there and they would remake the order which was fairly large. They were SO kind to us, and they remade our food even though this was Doordash's issue and NOT slims. Will continue to eat here for as long as I am alive. Received a coupon in the mail for a free slims plate. I was unsure if the coupon was real or not as I received the coupon randomly in the mail to welcome me to the neighborhood--but I moved three months ago. So, I decided to go anyway and I was warmly greeted by all of the staff including the manager. The manager welcomed me to come back and to sign up for their emails wherr you can receive a free chicken sandwich just for signing up. My food was delicious. The slims plate comes with five chicken tenders, a side, sauces, Texas toast, and a drink. They have tons of sauces and I tried their spicy ranch and sweet and sour. Also, I love the variety of drinks that they have available. I tried their raspberry tea, peach tea, and unsweetened sweet tea. Everything was so delicious! The raspberry and peach teas tasted just like their names and were not overly sweet. I wish that I could've eaten in the restaurant as I wanted to drink more of their tea! Overall I enjoyed my food at slim chickens. I felt that their chicken tenders were crisper and flakier than other tenders I have tried at other casual dining restaurants!
