I've had it with Dickey's BBQ, it's just not a place to go for value. The prices have gone way up, the portions have gone way down. The last 2 times I've ordered takeout I got home to find the $10 sandwiches to have about half the meat they used to. A very tiny side is $3.50 or $3.99. When I eat inside, the ice cream machine is always broken... every .... single ... time. The app is embarrassingly bad. I always have fits with it. Can't believe anyone said "Yes, this is the app we want our customers to use." There used to be deals on the app that would make their meals more affordable, but now they only seem to be for the less popular selections. Today, after sending in the order on my app I went to the drive thru to pick it up. There were 3 cars in front of me. It took almost 20 minutes to get to the window. Popped in for a sliced beef sandwich, iced tea and cobbler to go. I decided to walk in since a line was forming at the drive thru. I was quickly waited upon, and the staff had my order out in under 3 minutes. Food was packed well and it all tasted great! I really love that when I asked for lemon, I was asked for how many slices I wanted. I'm not one who just garnishes my tea, I squeeze the essence out of each slice. Then then fill out a form with your email address and expect a return email with the actual coupon for the free sandwich. We did that. We waited. No email. So we filled out another form in case the first email got lost, using a second email address. Still no email with coupon. You would think the manager who saw all this effort in a restaurant devoid of diners would say: "Go ahead, you deserve the free sandwich. You put in a lot of work and waited. Dickey's now has your email addresses, so we can further market to you. Our technology system didn't work to send you the coupon, but no worries - let me give you that free sandwich you earned." I ordered the two meat plate with fried okra and macaroni and cheese. Everything was cold except the fried okra, which had just come out of the fryer. I was really happy about that because nothing is better than hot, crispy fried okra except maybe hot, crispy fried okra that isn't covered in a pile of salt! I'll start by saying that the highlight of our experience at Dickies was the outstanding service we received from Moe/Monique while seated at the bar. Not only was she knowledgeable but she was also very personable and attentive. My fiancée and I noticed her treating all her customers in the same fashion, which was all the more impressive considering that the place was pretty busy and she was the only person running the bar. Food was also very good, especially considering its in an airport where rip offs, crap portions, and tasteless food is the norm.
