Rolls & cinnamon butter
Emily H.

Texas Roadhouse demonstrates that you can never underestimate the power of a complimentary basket of bread to attract crowds of diners (I'm sure Olive Garden would agree!). As tasty as their rolls with cinnamon butter are though, the rest of the food needs to measure up if they want repeat customers. In my experience, there's about a 50/50 chance of that happening at any given location. Fortunately, on my latest visit to this one, it all did. I tried their country fried chicken for the first time and it couldn't have been better. That, along with a hefty scoop of bacon and cheese topped mashed potatoes and a caesar side salad turned out to be one of the best comfort meals I've had in a long time. The rest of my family felt the same way about their food with the exception of a half slab of ribs that fell a little short. Even though the meat was tender enough to fall off the bone, it was still a little dry. The ribs were also something that none of us had ever tried before. At 3 in the afternoon the place was much busier than we expected (see above comment on free bread) so our entrees took a while to arrive. But, our server did the best she could by keeping the fresh rolls coming, making sure our drinks were full and checking on us regularly. I've always had a pretty indifferent attitude towards Texas Roadhouse in general and usually rate them accordingly with 3 stars. However, this last visit has definitely helped move the needle up on my overall impression closer to 4 stars.

Food was so good, and have the best ranch! Service was so fast and amazing. It was quiet because we came in at an earlier time, everything was amazing!

Made an online reservation, got right in. Service was good, food was tasty- took a bit to get the main course, but they kept our drinks/water full!

Stopped by before a wedding for an old fashion and some peanuts. Bartender was good drinks okay. Best part was the free roasted peanuts. Busy on a Friday Night but they had lots of specials.

I was in the mood for steak, and I happened to have a gift card, so Let's Do It! 8oz filet hit the spot! I asked for medium, and it was slightly more than medium. The servers ask you to cut into it before they leave to ensure it meets your standards. I wasn't one to complain, just a friendly tip for if/when you order a steak. I felt the salmon was a little too salty. My spicy companion also felt it was a little too salty, yet she liked the flavor. For dessert, we could tell the strawberry cheesecake was frozen as it had that "crisp" to it. The salads(house and caeser)and, of course, the unlimited rolls and cinnamon butter were the stars of the show! Service was spectacular despite how busy it was. The managers do a great job and follow up with every table to ask them how everything was. Overall, I'd give the experience a 3.7 but rounds up to a 4 .

Burger. Medium rare. Add jalapenos

I've been curious about the Texas Roadhouse burger. I heard that it is fresh ground from their steaks (not sure if true). I've had most things on the menu but never the burger. Their steaks and ribs are so good that it is tough to accept the opportunity cost of ordering something else. The burger was ordered medium rare and they nailed it. Seriously. If aliens landed in a UFO they were like "you get one chance to show us the perfect example of a medium rare burger" then this burger would have been the entire Earth's best representation. Super good and super moist. Toppings were good : lettuce, tomato, fresh red onion. I asked for the mustard, grilled jalapenos and the pickles. The only thing that I didn't care for was the bun. It was super dense which made it difficult to bite without everything squeezing out. This was one of those situations where you have to pick up the burger with both hands and there is no putting it down until you eat it all. Wife was on phone unlock / camera duty. Good burger but I still think that Roadhouse steaks, ribs, and chicken tenders are the best anywhere so I wouldn't order anything else. By the way, restaurant overall was great. Service great. Recommended.

Matt our excellent server has a great sense of humor and welcoming personality. So much that we had to chat with the Manager, Bobby about him. The rib eyed steak - medium rare was scrumptious and the sides: mushrooms, baked potatoes & green beans cooked perfectly. Compliments to their chef/s! With what's happening in the world, the steaks are a little bit on the *ozempic thinner side but we still highly recommend because of the quality. Can't wait to bring our good friends from Arlington, down this way again. We drove over 30 minutes. We came to celebrate life! I started with the poblano meatballs and wow, so flavorful, perfectly seasoned, almost had that grilled taste . For drinks, I had a lemon drop martini and it did not disappoint. For my meal, I ordered the chicken fried chicken and baby... BEST I've ever had. The crust was seasoned perfectly, not too hard, and the chicken was juicy. I also tried the smothered chicken, just as good. And dessert?! Peach cobbler with a snickerdoodle cookie crust... hands down the best I've ever had. No notes. Shoutout to our waitress Heather, she was so sweet, attentive, and gave great recommendations. The manager Chris also came by a few times to check on us, which I really appreciated. 10/10 experience. I will definitely be back and telling everyone about this place!

Suffice to say, it left a lasting impression on me, because here I am, almost a decade later. The atmosphere is everything a Texas BBQ joint should be, and having folks enter from the pit area was a stroke of genius. It really sets the expectation & mood. There's "decent" BBQ places here in Ohio, but there's no question Texas does it best, and Hard 8 is a true standout! (LOVE those charros!) This will be the 1st place I stop to eat if ever again I'm in the area. Honorable mention to Tyler's BBQ up in Amarillo if anyone gets out that way.

(Holy moo could he order any more food) and yeah I was stuffed and satisfied. Only complain is they didn't use topo Chico for the ranch water but a piggy eats whatever slop the farmer pours in the troph. Thanks hard eight. I'll be back.

In other words, you'd never catch a glimpse of it by simply driving through town (thank goodness for Google maps!) and even many of the locals are unaware of its existence. We did manage to find it though, with hopes that the food would be worth the effort it took to get there. My husband and I both started with caesar salads. Other than being a little heavy on the dressing, they tasted ok. The pecan crusted salmon and mac & cheese were next for me. The coating on the salmon tasted like the same stuff a Thanksgiving sweet potato casserole is topped with. Unfortunately, that's the one thing I never touch because I'm just not a fan of the flavors. Unlike the salmon and salad, there was nothing objectionable about the mac & cheese. My husband ordered a filet that arrived really cold and underdone. It was closer to mooing than medium rare like he requested! Even after they took it back to the kitchen to cook it some more, it came back pretty raw. The chocolate cake we had for dessert was probably the best part of the meal. It was so rich and decadent that we didn't even miss the raspberry sauce (I assumed they purposefully left it out since we got it to go). Considering that the management here has opened and closed so many different restaurants in this same spot, you would think that they would be experts by now at running a successful establishment. But for some reason, they continue to put out the kind of lackluster food that can be found for a lower price at a major chain. At least they can boast having a beautiful view if nothing else.

The food here is not as expensive as I'd heard, and it was delicious. Try the smoked chicken and jalapeño cheddar sausage - nothing was dried out, all of it was fresh. The green beans were sautéed with garlic, and the elote was seasoned really well. The star of the plate was the smoky, rich flavor of the barbecue sauce. The bartender may have been having an off night; the martini was icy but oddly bland, and the old fashioned was OK but not great.

Well you'll be going in the right direction. This barbecue place took me off guard. It's well-designed with plenty of room for people to sit both indoors and outdoors. The menu is very nice, with so many options. The lady at the front counter helped me pick a most magnificent feast. ‍ I was very impressed with the brisket. The mac and cheese was okay, but it got better as I ate it. The roasted Brussels sprouts also took me off guard; I really enjoyed them. And of course, on Saturdays, they have Texas Twinkies--you cannot beat that deal! It is so delicious. I cannot wait until I get a chance to come back here again, hopefully during work hours. Unlike my last visit, there was no additional cost for the Street Corn. The one meat plate was still priced at $24. A benefit for customers preferring the "premium" sides over the regular-priced ones. Unfortunately, the quality of their meat has also changed. The brisket had large sections of marble. While I enjoyed the baked beans and corn, I came here for the brisket not for the sides. While waiting to order, I noticed their breakfast menu was displayed on a stand by the serving counter.
