Found this jewel due to YELP. It's a smallish, unassuming place, but they're doing things right!! Great beer selection and reasonable prices. We had burgers and the dill-pickle chicken sandwich. Chicken was good, not great. (Had it grilled...maybe fried would be a better option??) Burgers were excellent and their waffle fries (regular and sweet potato) were superb. Very crispy, yet fluffy insides. Service was excellent....team approach. Laidback vibe; definitely a "neighborhood joint" with plenty of "regulars", I'm guessing. We'll be back. read more

Stopped by after a long work day. Great selection of Texas craft beers and a full bar. Food service ended an hour before they closed so didn't get to try the kitchen. Staff were super friendly and some locals sitting at the bar sampling the beers. When back in Dallas I'll be back at the local pint for a pint!! read more

This is my favorite tap house in the area, sorry what's on tap but it's a wide margin. For you HV ppl, this spot is worth making the drive for. The owner is typically up there and has great recommendations, the manager is always making recommendations too. These guys know beer, and they know how to keep beer interesting. Their menu covers all styles of beer and they have great food with some items rotating. I like to bike here and have a pint, bs with the locals or watch a game and every time it's exactly what I came for - a good time with a good beer and good food. read more

It was busy for a Friday, but we walked in to a table- and they had a few sports games on. Sept menu was great! We selected the enormous pretzel & beer cheese (YUM!) sauce and the brat special. Local Pint has a great upbeat vibe, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. They have a large selection of craft beers. We tried a couple of the appetizers, and they were very tasty. The pretzel is huge with yummy beer cheese and mustard on the side. The cheese curds were crispy and ranch was good. I ordered a grilled chicken breast, but it was very dry. The are celebrating 8 years of being here, Glad we finally found this place! We walk in and The Owner Philly is wrapping silverware, that is impressive on its own. We sat at the Bar to watch the Red River Shootout, Bartender was quick Menus, explanation of the Menu and Drinks. While he stepped away to make drinks 4 other people came to check on us to make sure we had been waited on! Not one or two But 4 That is service never heard of! Drinks are spot on not to heavy on the pour perfect flavors! I switched to beer to enjoy with my Burger! A Local Brew from Grapevine they have 49 different brews on Tap! Appetizer was the Bacon Me Crazy Flatbread (October Menu Special) cauliflower crust, Asiago Cheese and Bacon! Damn never in my life would have through those flavors could be so Damn Good! Dinner- The Wife had the House Burger, I had the Flowermound BOJ Burger! Ok if you want a real Fresh Pattied in house burger exploding with Flavor this is the place! This place definitely is a well kept secret As they have one of the Best Damn Hamburgers in Texas ( I have eaten from Houston to San Antonio back to DFW) this place has absolutely without a doubt kept the Old Fashioned Hamburger with Fresh Beef! This is a cool little beer bar that serves food and has TVs to watch sports. The atmosphere and vibes are very chill and lowkey. There were a lot of people here when I showed up but still had plenty of room with tables and seats at the bar available. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They all came by and checked up on us as they went to and from taking orders to other tables so always got service during my time here. They have a large selection of craft beers on draft, as well as wine and seltzers available. The food is great for it being a beer bar as well. If I lived closer, this would definitely be my daily go-to place to have a beer and watch sports. read more

Someone in passing mentioned that they like the Local Pint. Since we were kid-less for a weekend my wife and I were looking for something to do that was more adult. We wanted to try something new for us and was glad that I remembered the name of the place from earlier. We got there about 5:00 in the afternoon and the place was nice and clean with some smiling faces. You seat yourself. It's clearly a local beer pub, one of those 50 or more beers on tap places. There's a few alternatives from beer, as well as non-alcoholic drinks which include root beer on tap (one of my favorites). Clearly they want to put themselves in the running for favorite local beer hole. They seem to have several awards which I noticed online Best of Denton County in several categories so the bar set high when you see those kind of accolades. Believe every one of them. Menu surprised me at how intricate it is. They don't just do a BLT, they do a BBLT which is creating a Brie crème topping that replaces mayonnaise. It may be worth asking for some of it on the side as well. My wife got the Mediterranean Labneh and I was glad to share it with her. Made a second visit the next day and had the Big Dill chicken sandwich, which I thought might be better as a fish sandwich....but one of the guys there said they switch up there menu periodically. (Sadly the BBLT will be off the menu soon if not already is what I was told). If you're looking for good pairing ideas with foods and sauces/jams this is a great place to visit. An award winning Bacon Onion Jam (BOJ) burger for example. My wife on the second visit had a prosciutto panini and fig jam. My wife loved it and said it was like have a charcuterie board in a sandwich. You can definitely watch sports at this place, but it doesn't have over-sized TVs. Just several located in corners and behind the bar. Several were there watching game the Avs hockey final. The seating also a bit quirky if you want to be able to look around and people watch but as a result each table has it's own space. We sat at a high top table for two the first visit and at the bar the second visit. They have larger tables for bigger groups as well. Appetizers run in the $10 range, Entrees $15. Beers can be ordered in flight-size $2.5, pint $5-6, and also available in growlers to take home. You can have a sample before you buy it and it's also encouraged. The place was busy but didn't feel too crowded. It's definitely a watering hole that's worth multiple visits. read more

We were looking for a good burger and found exactly what we were looking for here! I was able to take the whole family for dinner and was very impressed. The burgers were phenomenal, and not to mention the selection of drink that were on tap were unbelievable. I ended taking a growler home of the cider I bought because it was so good! Disclaimer: my previous experience here was my comparison point (which was 5 stars), the lack of kombucha on tap, and more Americanized bar food selection just doesn't make this as unique as it used to be. Appetizer selections are your typical bar foods, easy to store, fried foods (albeit quality). I chose the spinach and artichoke dip and was surprised when it came with (house made) potato chips instead of tortilla chips. It was good, but I'd argue like the potato chips are likely too heavy (greasy/salty?) to finish the dip with. The table agreed. Burgers, a link option (hot dog), and sandwiches. If you're into salads, looks like a Caesar is your option. Don't like any of those? There are some chicken tenders you can order and feel the nostalgia of being a kid in a restaurant your parents took you to and you didn't like anything on the menu but these. The beer selection has changed (not for the better), but they change it daily, and will let you try something before you commit to a pint (or a growler!). They still can in-house for a togo version of the beer you just found out you love. (I used to do this with the kombucha, it was a dream!) All in all, it's good if you like a burger and beer, but wouldn't say it's anything special on my list anymore. The creative appetizers are gone, and the very unique kombucha (alcoholic) on-tap is a distant memory, too. But that's just MY take. read more

Great beer, but not as cold as the first time we went. Oh man! We loved it soo much the first time. This time was not ideal. The first server was bright cheery and pleasant but the food was not done as ordered the first time and just tasted less flavorful. When we asked to get it fixed they fixed one part but another was not right. They did take the mistake off the check so I commend them for that. Well, I know this is a local watering hole for folks. Place was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon. 6/2021 Seating was bumper to bumper people. Not much space for seating. It was too close for my comfort. I felt uncomfortable the moment we entered. Seeing so many people, sitting so close. All different parties. Too soon. Only two people working the restaurant. The owner and another (waiter) person. Not one person wore a mask. I'm sure I suffer from social anxiety issues. Particularly, after the shitty year we all experienced. We started off with the smoky hummus. That was awful! It was like eating pure liquid smoke. I guess either you like it or hate it. Ugh! I want a redo on that dish. It was awful. Moving on to the a la carte items. Everything is a la carte. Including additional sauces ordered. Affordable, prices for sure. My son had the chicken tenders. Those come with 5 huge tenders and a sauce of your choice from the menu. He had several as sides.....I thought the pineapple habanero was pretty good. I like stuff with a bite. The other sauces were after thoughts in my opinion. Not well prepared on this day. I had the house burger with extra pickles on the side. The waffle fries are some of the best I've ever had! These are epic waffle fries! Hope they, never ever, remove these from their menu. Cooked crispy and well, perfection! Main reason for coming here was green fried tomatoes. Those are no longer a menu item. (sad moment). Green tomatoes have been replaced by okra. I like okra, but the loss of the the tomatoes on the menu was a disappointment. Something about a deep fried green tomato is extremely satisfying. Wish it had been listed they no longer make them. I drank water. No ice and no straws. That's ok. I get the straws. But, no ice, I don't get. This is 2021, not the 1950s. Warm water is out. Kids drank beer. They were happy with their picks. Many of the beers are not local. This allows you multiple options for tastings of beer from other areas! Conclusion, I wouldn't drive out of my way to come here. Too many simple issues that should/could have been the norm as a business were not done. However, I'd come back and try a redo on a few of their items. Still worth 4.0 stars for being overwhelmed. I want to preface this review by saying literally the only reason we stumbled upon here is because I saw the menu had cheese curds... we got here and ordered cheese curds. Guess what? They were sold out... . Of course we decide to stay since we already ordered drinks. The drinks are all bottles (makes sense because it's a beer spot). The wings were currently overpriced due to a shortage :-( (like almost $2 a wing). We instead ordered a jumbo pretzel with beer cheese as our appetizer. It was delicious but I would hardly call it "jumbo" The chicken sandwiches were delicious and worth every penny. Sides are a la carte. Waffle fries were good and the ranch was the definition of homemade. The burgers were also huge- worth the money. Overall, the food was delicious, service was great. I probably wouldn't come again unless I was trying to find a local watering hole but I would recommend it to others. read more

They have mastered the seer with a flavorful charbroiled flavor that locks in moisture. It's a thing of art, actually. The ingredients are fresh and prepared with care. Posting this review in order to move the subpar one they just got further down the review list because anyone who is trying to learn about Local Pint should be doing so from the feedback that 99% of The Pint's guests experience. First, the food here is amazing. The burgers are some of the best in DFW, the chicken sandwiches are probably even better and the creative monthly specials are always to die for. Portions are generous and prices won't break the bank. Next, the beer selection is the best in town. They're always willing to let you taste one of the myriad choices before pouring your pint and I love that. They're creative with their rotating choices and some of my favorites would have never have been experienced without the Local Pint. Finally, the staff is the friendliest in town and 99.9% of the time the service is impeccable. I love that we have a unique family owned business like the Local Pint in FloMo. We need more business like this (not more chains) so if you've never experienced the Local Pint (or haven't been in while) you should make it a point to get there asap! I've talked myself into a burger there tonight... p.s. If you haven't been since their expansion you need to. Lots more seating around the bar area and it really opened the place up without losing the "local" feel. read more

This is a great place. Dare I say the best taproom in all of Flower Mound?! I dont live anywhere near Flower Mound, but ended up here due to a work gathering. I was already delighted to see a 50+ selection of beer, stretching across all varieties. Even better that they can serve it in a flight glass or a giant stein. Service here was quite attentive as we arrived right as they opened at 4pm. Even for a Thursday, this place gets packed by 6:30pm. While we had multiplke servers taking care of us, closer to 6:30pm, they werent as attentive as before. I dont blame them, but I will say the earlier you come, the less noisy and crowded the place will be, as well as the staff wont be as busy. By 7pm, there was a 45 minute on all food orders! They've got quite the menu for food as well. They have lots of traditional american and classic bar items like loaded fries and pretzels, as well as burgers and sandwiches. Most of the food was good and was a great primer for drinking beer on top of. The chicken tenders are magnificent! Breaded just right, with a crispy crunch has my toes tappin'! The meat itself is hot out of the kitchen, moist on the inside, and tender as I bite into it. Absolutely worth getting. The loaded fries are a solid choice, with the right amount of fixings and portioned for 1 to 2 people. The cheese curds will make anyone from the midwest feel like they are back home. The tator tots have a decent crunch and great potato flavor. The pretzel was my least favorite item, but thats not to say it wasnt good. While its a decent pretzel, it pales in comparison to other bars Ive been to recently that make an amazing pretzel. They add plenty of coarse kosher salt on top, so theres a huge salty crunch with each bite. The bread itself isnt as buttery, tender, or deep in flavor as I would have hoped. While the beer cheese is OK initially, it gets cold and congeals quickly, whether its on the cheese fries or in a serving dish for the pretzel. Be forewarned and eat it sooner than later. Cause the cheese is quite viscous and thick! I did not personally eat the BOJ buger, but from the look of the burger, and the expression on everyone's faces, this is worth getting if you are in the mood. read more
