The Point After North is a home town bar. I frequent this establishment 3 times during the week and sometimes if the family wants to come along I visit on the weekends. Alot of regulars from around town. If you are a stranger and its your first time at this bar, you will soon be a friend. We all enjoy each other's company and enjoy the ambiance, music, & food. Ernesto is the cook and he's been there for 30 plus years. Redd, Jenny, & Teresa always provide good service at the bar. At times there are some knuckle heads that don't mind there manners and are asked to leave just like any other establishment around town would. I would avoid this place like the plague! The bartender named Red will overcharge you and puts the money in his pocket. He's very rude with all the customers. I wish the owners and manager could see how bad this guy is. He is not as loyal as you think he is. I wouldn't trust this guy. He pockets the money when you pay cash and talks bad about everyone who works here. Pretty soon your best customers will be gone. The other employee's are awsome, except for this bartender. My company had me out here on work for four months, they booked me an Airbnb nearby this place and let me say what a find! It's like cheers, laid back and jukebox. They have live music and karaoke too. The food was incredible and the people were awesome to be around very welcoming. I will miss everyone I met there for sure. Really cool spot!!! read more

If you find yourself asking how a dive bar could have good food then I want you to think of Whataburger in its truest form: Fresh ingredients and the ability to build or substitute to your hearts desire. These guys are doing everything right for a dive bar - they've got different events every night (poker m/t, karaoke w-th, live music f-s and open mic sun), pool tables, golden tee etc. specials every day, they're open til two despite the location (and on holidays), have an awesome staff, great drink prices, and serve some amazing food. Admittedly I would have never stepped into this place but decided to skip the gym for happy hour and despite my guilt I ended up staying because this place simply rocks. Had an amazing burger, but I had several regulars give me their unwarranted favorites from the extensive menu ranging from wings to quesadillas to chicken sandwiches and ghost pepper Mac and cheese and more. Met plenty of locals that were ready to network despite me not coming to socialize and had a couple of affordable happy hour (7pm) beers while I enjoyed some random do. The staff here is great but for the best experience be sure Jenny is your bartender. Jenny is simply the best at what she does and provides service that is good enough to remind you of what you're thankful for but never say thank you for. read more

A spacious dive bar which cater for younger crowd who likes to drink, do karaoke and dancing. I said younger crown because there's about 90% of them in there. You'll see a few oldies sitting up at the bar just minding their own business. I'm surprised that this bar carry a pretty good selection of taps that I have not heard of like Guns and Oil. If you're looking for March Madness look elsewhere. This place caters to it's senior plus crowd but even worse when trying to get a game on a tv. You're response will be a cold "we have a tv on" and then point to a distant small tv in the corner of the bar. We got here an hour early to get a good seat for the Packers vs. Bears game and were made to move to the back because they "reserved" all the good tables for all the Packers fans. BFF and I took one of our frequent day road trips out of our hood and headed West toward Ft. Worth. However, we decided to make a detour and go to Lorena's in Springtown. (Not posting an update review on that, nothing much additionally to say since our last visit). Upon completing our tex-mex, TS Marg and ice cold beer fix @ Lorena's, we opted to take a different route home due to the highway closure on HWY 114, and headed back East to Denton and South from there. And, somehow, we ended up in Flower Mound and stumbled upon the Point After North. Being huge fans of the Addison Point, we decided to check out this spot. Yep, walking in the door, to no surprise, it looks like any other Point in town, particularly Addison Point. Same floor plan, decent size bar, dim lighting, TV's everywhere (note - they need to invest in some flat screens; these were all the big fat tubes); this locationi has many pool tables in the back room, along with games along the walls. There is also a dance floor, which appears that they have a band some nights of the week. As in all neighborhood hangouts of this calibar, there were lots of regulars swizzling their cold beers and martinis. Friendly, friendly spot. Our young female bartender was oh so cordial and welcoming and prompt in getting the libations in front of us. The menu here is much better than at other sister locations (not really "sisters", all the Points are now independently owned)). More than the usual bar stuff of burgers, sandwiches, etc; offering some fish (Tilapia), fish and chips, meat loaf, and pizza. We opted for one of their supreme (everything in the fridge) 7" pies, and my goodness, it was pretty darn tasty. 4 fairly large slices, just perfect for an end of day trip chow down. All in all, we had a fun hour or so, visiting with folks around us; all very down to earth friendly FM residents. We were the only outsiders but made to feel welcome. Just love these kind of down homey dives. The PAN is nowhere near where we lay our head, but if in the area, yeah, I'd stop in for a bite and a glass of vino. read more

The Point After is like the Cheers of Flower Mound, as the term "everybody knows your name" comes to mind. As soon as you walk in the door, you're greeted by a barrage of friendly faces and greetings. The waitresses are extremley kind and are always willing to help, and the food's great at a fair price, and live music can be seen every week or two. The only few downsides to "the Point" are that it's kind of aged, and a bit "smokey". The atmosphere's that of any great bar though, and many neon signs grace the walls. read more

It's what it is. A local dive bar. I've gone on many different nights from weekdays to weekends. Friendly staff, the food is pretty good, I like the chicken tenders. Beer seems to always be just above room temperature. Which is fine for good beers but tend to make the domestics harsh. If you like kareoke friday nights are fun, if you don't like kareoke you would hate Friday nights there. read more

This is actually a pretty cool place with great service from what I experienced. It's taken me some time to give this place a try because of the rough looking entrance... It is a dive bar but one worthy of walking through the door. I like they have shuffle board and pool tables that seem to bring in quite a few people. Been to the point several times, and it is nice place. The staff is friendly and food is decent with a pretty good selection of American fares. The beer selection is kind of limited, but the prices are down to earth. The Point is an older place, which is stained carpet interior and older televisions reflect. However, all of the TV's work and the atmosphere is friendly. Lots of locals frequent this place, especially on game day. Don't be surprised to see groups of fans for several teams huddled around their TV on any game day, esp. football season. Not much for cleanliness on the times I've been there, but that is mostly due to the age of the place from what I can tell. Full turkey spread which I did not sample but my friend did. Beers are reasonable, plenty of tv's. Will try again and maybe sample the food next time. Our band went to play open mic here tonight and reading the reviews I had certain expectations of a divey dive. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound system as well as the super cool bartender, Jess. She kept our drinks filled and kept up with our tab. This has quikly become one of our favorite places to visit. After just having moved here from WI, we were skeptical about the local wateringholes. We've spent a Packer game here, some "get out of the house" time, and played some pool. We've never been dissapointed, and the locals are as friendly as any corner pub in Northern WI. The food, so far has been phenomenal. Again, have yet to have a bad experience. We enjoy this place and will continue to stop in, even if it's just for a quick game of pool. read more

Great dive bar (but not so much of a dive since the recent renovations). Great upgrade on the bathroom. Very friendly staff. Poker on Monday and Tuesday nights. Robert in the kitchen makes killer specials. Just don't go on Sundays during football season because it's full of douche bag Green Bay fans. read more

Went here for the annual packer tailgate and watch the game day and it was great our server was outstanding. Came over to check multiple times and memorized everything we had. I could just look up and she knew I needed a drink and was back in seconds. Everyone was nice and welcoming and while they played the game on three screens they also played other games and other fans for other teams seemed to have a good time too. They only had two or three servers for the whole place and there was at least 80 to 100 of us and they did an outstanding job. If your not part of the normal crowd you are not treated very well. Owner not friendly and that flows over to the female bar tenders. Food is good if you can get service which depends on how busy they are with regular customers. Great place to listen to local bands. This is not my 1st impression as we have continued to come as it's close to home but they could sure use some customer service training.They are also very proactive at protecting their customers when they have had to much to drink and offer free Uber rides home. I also just looked at the menu on website and this must be an old menu as most is not a true representation of what they currently have. read more
