While the service was outstanding, the food, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. I ordered the two-meat combo plate featuring ribs and jalapeño sausage, which came with two sides, Grandma's collard greens and fried okra. Jalapeño Sausage: This was the highlight of the meal. Cooked to perfection with excellent flavor. Ribs: Disappointing. Although they were smoked, they lacked seasoning and were very bland. Grandma's Collard Greens: Underwhelming. They were undercooked and had an overpowering vinegar taste. Fried Okra: Just okay. Edible but nothing memorable. I had heard many great things about this place before visiting, so I came in with high expectations. Sadly, my first visit was a letdown and felt like a waste of $28. Bottom Line: Excellent staff and service, but the food needs significant improvement.

2 meat platter (pulled pork and lean brisket). Added a Rib and Texas Twinkie. Mac N Cheese and potatoe salad with the platter.

Had a hankering for BBQ and wanted to support local. I went with the 2 meat platter, comes with 2 sides. I had the pulled pork, lean brisket w/ mac N cheese and potatoe salad. Both meats were on par. The Mac N Cheese was the star of the show. Sooo creamy and sooo good! The potatoe salad, was...potatoe salad. Added a rib and a Texas Twinkie The rib was amazing! Nice flavor and fall of the bone meat. The Texas Twinkie was mid for me as I personally would've liked more brisket inside. Service was spectacular! Don't let the construction out front scare ya, give it a try!

If you want true Texas bbq experience this is a must go spot!! Portions are HUGE, prices are good and the owner and the staff are so friendly as well. Their brisket is soooo juicy and they have so many choices for sides. Their pork rib portion great for the price!! I've taken couple of my friends visiting from out of town and they were very impressed as well. We always leave here feeling extra full!! And usually have leftovers. I think this might be my new favorite BBQ spot in DFW area. Honestly it's a MUST TRY! I'm surprised it's not as well known as some other BBQ places. If you're visiting Dallas and you want good bbq, this is the place!!

Was in the area for work and was in the mood for BBQ. Looked for places near by and found Sullivan's. It did not disappoint, the brisket and pork ribs were tender and cooked perfectly. They added a brisket end and it was delicious, I should of asked for just a plate of those. Mac n Cheese was also delicious, some really good white cheddar Mac n cheese. Coleslaw was ok, it's hard for me to find a coleslaw I like as I like a certain style. Overall I highly recommend giving them a try if in the area and want some good BBQ.

We found the outside quaint and inviting. Inside was simple, tables and chairs with an open plating and serving area. We were able to order fairly quickly and our plates were ready in minutes. My son ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket and mild sausage. Both were tender and seasoned. The brisket is a little salty but, tasty. Cole slaw was different in flavor but, I liked it. Mac and cheese was just ok for me but, my son loved it. I ordered the loaded nachos and was kind of disappointed. The picture on the website has pico, grated cheese and sour cream and looked delicious. Mine was just liquid cheese, chips and chopped brisket. Now the brisket was VERY good mind you. But, it looked better with all the "loaded" toppings. Loaded to me means loaded. Not just cheese and meat. I would return tho and try the loaded baked potato or maybe just some sliced brisket.

Very excited to try this place. Came with a family of 4, ordered 1 lb of brisket, 1/2 rack of ribs, 1/2 lb of jalapeño sausage, 1 pint of Mac and cheese, 1 quart of fries. Brisket was tender, even the lean part. Some at the table thought it was too tender and fell apart. Ribs were tender but not fall off the bone, just enough bite. Sausage was good as well. The fries were the best part of the meal, well fried and crispy. The Mac and cheese was good, but not amazing. The restaurant was roomy with enough space to line up indoors to order. Wait was short.

The young lady who took my order was so incredibly nice and friendly to me. Their chopped brisket sandwich was wonderful. The brisket was flavorful and very moist. The bun was soft and fresh and delicious. The two sauces, original and whisky bourbon were both equally amazing.

This is why you visit Texas! What a great experience! As soon as you walk in, you're welcomed with the smell of smoking and roasting meats! Just damn good. The owner was handing out samples of brisket which is an absolute MUST! We got the platter of 4 meats and 4 sides and it was plenty (maybe a bit much) for 3 people! Worth every penny and if I ever come back to this area - this is where I'll go for BBQ

Sullivan's has the best brisket I've ever had and I've tried a lot. All of the food is amazing and the workers are so nice and the service is great. I love coming here. Plenty of seating inside and on a large patio area. And the owner, Terry, is a great guy who often walks around greeting his customers. Oh, and don't forget to get some pie. The pecan pie is delicious and made by Terrys Mom.

2 Meat Plate...Brisket, Pulled Pork, Creamed Corn, Mac-n-Cheese and Cornbread

Met my daughter here for lunch and everything was delicious. I had brisket and pulled pork with mac-n-cheese and creamed corn which was more Mexican corn to me than country style cream corn but it was delicious!!! I want to say they put chimichuri in it, don't pass on this item, unique and craveable. My daughter had the Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage sandwich, it was had a nice flavor and not a lot of heat. At the table they offer 3 BBQ sauces, Original, Bourbon Whiskey and Habanero for those who want to spice things up. I'm glad we gave this place a try and hope you'll do the same, it's worth it...can't wait to take my wife.

If you want delicious food, a welcoming community, and a restaurant experience that you'll never forget ( In the best possible way)... go to Sullivans Texas BBQ. My partner and I went to Sullivans tonight for the first time and it did not disappoint. The food was INCREDIBLE. The brisket was amazing! The atmosphere is classic, and the service is exceptional. They do it right! Will definitely be going back! Had such a great time.

Our first stop on our barbeque tour- Sullivan was super friendly. The manager gave us a piece of brisket with chimichurri on it- holy cow! I loved that they had smoked cabbage as a side, which is super unique. The corn muffins were decent but I would pass next time (they weren't warm either). We preferred the ribs over the brisket, and the jalapeño cheddar had a great snap. I also loved that there were some unique desserts, so I got the buttermilk pie. They have local soda, and the manager came by and chatted with us a few times. Definitely friendly and relaxed vibe here.

Turns out that is mostly not the case. Yes, DFW has some stellar barbecue, but a lot of it lives in shiny purpose-built buildings with executive chefs and serious BBQ or fine-dining pedigrees. Well friends, this is one of those rare places I have only found a few of - A true little hidden gem. I can see why the reviews are mixed. Buffet sides can be polarizing, the building is nothing to look at inside or out, and there is no Diet Dr Pepper, which frankly feels like a sad and bold choice. But let us get to the important part. I ordered the slider plate and it was outstanding. You get two sides, which means you can try 3 different meats, one on each sandwich. I went with brisket, pork, and sausage. I chose coleslaw as one side so I could pile it onto the sandwiches, and onion rings as the other. The onion rings are not from the buffet - and are kinda a hidden choice - but seek them out - made to order, hot and crispy and worth it. This was a lot of food. The rolls deserve their own shoutout. I am fairly certain they are handmade (or gotten from a bakery daily) , and gloriously fluffy. My lunch was spectacular. Hubby went with the ribs and brisket plate with loaded potatoes, which were yum, and BBQ beans, which were just okay. To finish things off, they offer free vanilla soft serve ice cream. Do not "save room" for it, it is not amazing, but it is a nice little palate cleanser and a sweet way to end the meal. If you are looking for fancy vibes, this is not your spot... If you are looking for honest, satisfying barbecue that reminds you why Texas BBQ has a reputation in the first place, this one is absolutely worth a stop.

May be five if all the vehicles were parked inches apart. Many vehicles parked behind the restaurant on gravel and grass. I chose the BBQ Pork Ribs Plate which came with four ribs. Once I got my meat, everything else was self-service. For sides, I chose the smoked beans and potato salad. Before leaving the area, I made sure to grab a dinner roll. The Point of Sale requesting a tip annoyed me due to the amount of self-service. The ribs were okay. There was not as much meat as I would have liked. Of the two sides, the smoked beans were my favorite. Its sauce provided plenty of flavor. The potato salad had a distinct dill aftertaste. The interior of the dinner roll was slightly warm, so it may have sat on the serving tray for a while. As with other barbecue spots, they offered free soft serve (vanilla). Frugal diners should forego the non-complimentary desserts. Unfortunately, the ice cream was softer than my preference. It's consistency similar to a very thick milkshake.

Within 5 minutes and before I got to a table, I was telling my wife they must be under new ownership. Receiving the food and taking a bite prompted us to take to Google and confirmed it. I have never thrown away food at Fat Cow, however I threw away two orders of fat japs (minus two half eaten ones that the wife and took a single bite out of) and 2/3 of my brisket taco plate. Condiments bar was just brine in containers with no pickles, jalapenos etc, brisket was dry, bacon on fat japs was cold grease coated and sickly looking, meat inside jalapenos was like shredded jerky. Had never before walked out of there smelling like dirty barbecue before, but we definitely could smell it in our clothes the rest of the night. Definitely not the Fat Cow I grew up loving.

We decided to try it after the new owners took over. While the atmosphere was still welcoming and friendly, we noticed some changes in the food that made me miss the old days. The sausage was a big letdown which looked like a shriveled up hot dog. The mac and cheese had no flavor and did not have enough sauce. The potato salad and coleslaw were not as good as they had been in the past. I hope the new owners can find a way to bring back the flavor and quality that st this place apart drom other BBQ restaurants.
