Beef combo

I'm usually prefer AYCE kbbq but my husband and I wanted to give Saemaeul a try. I now understand the hype. The service is great compared to getting AYCE. The sides were probably one of the best banchan I have had. We also had the seafood pancake and the beef tartar as well. You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu.

We came here with the family on Thanksgiving. We were coming in from Houston for the holiday weekend and in search of a good dinner option. We were grateful this place was open. The tables are small, barely fitting 6, but it was fun. They have built in vents at each table to suck up all the smoke, but still be prepared to walk away smelling like Korean bbq. My family actually prefers à la carte Korean bbq over all you can eat, because our experience is the quality of meat is higher at à la carte. We end up spending the same amount of money but we enjoy it better. This location did not disappoint. Every cut of meat we got was delicious. They work as a team here and they cook for you at the table. They also walk around refilling sides and water as well. Their Kim Chi was delicious it gave a little kick as well.

An average experience at this à la carte Korean bbq restaurant. We came as a group of 12 and tried the beef combo, pancake, and other assortments of meats. The quality of meats were fresh and tender but portion sizes on the smaller side. The pancake is made thinner compared to other places. Similar to thin crust pizza; but was good. Side dishes including the soup were salty and not memorable. We did not get individual sauce trays, had to share. Table service (besides cooking the meat) was subpar compared to other similar places. We were not offered seconds on side dishes, had to ask for another canteen of water (only given a 1L canteen to split among 12 people separate between 3 tables), and the restaurant during this time was at most half full. Overall, there's better places to eat at for comparable cost.

Amazing Korean bbq even though it's not all you can eat the 3 meat selection is just enough. They also will cook the meat for you. Which is awesome. We got some yummy appetizers as welll. Also they sat us pretty fast when we got to the restaurant

I really enjoyed the barbecue at Saemaeul. We ordered the Special Mix Combo to split between 5 friends. We were worried that it won't be enough but it was the right amount to share with friends. There was a wait outside the door but you are able to check in through the Yelp app before arriving there. The wait was about an hour long for us on a Friday night. When we got there, the service was very quick and the food was delicious. Although, I would order the Beef Only Combo next time I go. The ambiance was like your authentic KBBQ joint in Asia. The waiters go around the restaurant cooking food at each of the table although I think the seating could be larger.

The food went too fast for an aesthetic picture.

The staff was friendly and understanding. We had a gluten free person and a vegetarian and the staff was patient and helpful.

This restaurant-- as I walked in was welcomed in right away. And was led to a hotpot table early prior to my family arriving and they had no issue with me holding space tho my family had not arrived. The server offered me water and brought out condiments right away. It smells heavenly when on walks into the restaurant was very clean, organized and pre setup utensils were neatly prepped for restaurant guests. There were larger family tables as well as smaller table setups for a couple of people. Parking is easy access. And double wide doors for accessibility width.

Meat was really good and the service is great as well. The tofu soup wasn't the best I had but not too bad. We didn't have to wait for a table of 4 on the weekend. It's a bit crowded in the restaurant when you go to your seat but there is enough room on the table because they put the meats on the side if there isn't enough room.

This is my first time coming to this restaurant and it was pretty pleasant! The meat quality was pretty good overall. Large Meat Combo: The meat was super tender with a slight rosemary flavor--really flavorful. The seasoned meat was incredible and very tender. The spicy pork was pretty good and not too spicy. The large steak was kind of tough and not the best, but still okay. Dumplings: The dumplings felt a bit overpriced and were just okay. There wasn't much filling, but they had a nice crisp on the outside. The KBBQ comes with a choice of soup but no steamed egg like other places. There were some cute subtle touches here and there. However, the booths weren't cleaned off and there were leftover carrots on my seat, so the place is a bit dirty... but the food was good and the seaweed soup starter was tasty too. Service is quick and efficient--the server came by often to cook our meat. Overall, good service!

This KBBQ spot is hands down one of the best in the area. We ordered the small special mix combo and added beef fingers and pork jowl. The beef tongue was incredibly soft and full of flavor. The pork jowl had a nice crunchy texture, while the beef fingers were tender and delicious. The pork belly had a great balance between fat and lean meat. The service was fast and efficient--multiple staff members checked on us, took care of side dish refills, and handled all the cooking, which let us relax and enjoy time chatting with friends. The only downside was the wait time. We were quoted a 9-19 minute wait for a table, but it ended up taking nearly 45 mins.

Dinner at Saemaeul was a smooth experience. Service is fast and efficient. The best part is the vent setup at each table right above the grill that pulls the smoke up instantly so it doesn't linger or leave you smelling like KBBQ. There are also multiple staff members constantly checking on your table to flip and cook the meat for you, so you don't have to do anything except eat and enjoy. I really like that they handle the cooking because it lets you focus on chatting with friends and actually enjoying your food. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Easily one of the most seamless and well-run KBBQ spots I've been to.

First time going to a Korean bbq where they cook it for you at the table. Each table has stools and which open up for you to stow away jackets and bags. We got one of the dinner combos and everything was delish and flavorful. Will def return.

Ive tried the wagyu and prime brisket. The wagyu has more fat and flavor but that prime brisket isnt bad at all. The ribs were pretty standard and good. The smoked wings were tasty and I liked the ranch here also. The black pepper and garlic sausage is DELICIOUS. My favorite. I will say, the sides i have had are decent but not great, the meat is the main star but I need the sides to be slightly better co stars. The potato salad isnt bad though. Service is great! Bj was outstanding and so funny! He made ordering the food enjoyable, lol. I think for the price, this is a good place with quality food. It being so close to my apt makes it that much better too!

Happy Hour is my favorite HOUR!…read more I had been driving past this place for a while. I finally looked them up and planned a birthday happy hour for my mom. The experience was good! My friends really enjoyed themselves. We all love a good time and good deals! For food we tried the cheeseburger and smoked wings on the happy hour menu. The Cheeseburger was tasty. The cheese was melted perfectly. One note the burger has way too much lettuce. The tomatoes, onions and pickles were the perfect combination. The burger is huge and I suggest sharing it. The smoked wings were ok for me. I appreciated they gave you BBQ Sauce, Ranch and Hot Sauce. This is good for sharing too as the smoked flavor can become overwhelming. Drinks were great! I tried a few different cocktails. The Pineapple Martini was good, but slightly too sweet. The Margarita was good and the Spicy Jalapeño Margarita was great. I enjoyed the flavor and heat of the spicy margarita best. The bartenders were great. The atmosphere was cool and laid back. Service was good and prompt. I liked the variety of seating. They have couches and that makes it cozy. A patio for warm weather. So I will definitely be adding them to my happy hour rotation. I also would like to come back and try their ribs or nachos. Plus a few other cocktails! I left feeling satisfied and content.

After getting inside I could tell why. The BBQ smell hits you as you open the door and it smelled sooooo good. They had a giant menu written onto the wall. Some of the meats were sold out. We debated for a bit and then decided to do a group order. Our Group of 7 people ordered the Cattleleack Platter and sides of burnt end beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and Mac and cheese. Oh and don't forget to ask for cornbread too. Inside tey had large tables and benches to sit at and we secured our spot. The food was delicous. The Beef Rib was huge and melted in my mouth. The brisket was amazing and seasoned well. Everything tasted great. Everyone ate til they were full and we still had leftovers. I ate them later at night and they were still good. This place is pricey, definitely worth a visit.

The pitmaster (a great follow on Instagram) continues to work his magic and create creative dishes that pair flavors from his home country with Texas smoke. My Overall Rating - 3 1/2 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi has undergone a makeover! Gone is the mural with the Wagyu cow. It's been replaced with a natural wood wall that also extends to the line. At the end of the line is what you came for, smoked brisket, back ribs, and more under a heat lamp (more on this later). Kafi BBQ keeps the hookah friendly outdoor space, the red (and comfortable) booth seating, and the smell of smoked wood. 1 Star. Service - The staff is great. Once it's your turn, they will slice your meat to order. I forgot to ask for fatty brisket the last time I went, and they were nice enough to slice it for me. Once your meat is weighed, you get your sides and desserts. Great system - I hope they don't change a thing. 1 Star, Food - I think I figured out why each of my visits to Kafi BBQ haven't been as good as others'. Because the next day when I heat up my leftovers, the brisket is amazing. Kafi BBQ's food sits under a heat lamp. If you visit later in the day when the brisket and ribs have been sitting out, your meat will be dry. All my visits have been the same, and I had to dip it in BBQ sauce (you may or may not like it). Same goes for the sides, the fries sound amazing, but each time I ordered them they had been sitting out. Now, the next day when I reheat the brisket (put it in an oven for 45 min at 225 degrees), it's some of the best brisket in all of North Texas. Heads up! Wagyu brisket comes at a price. I usually spend $100+ for me and my son. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Salahodeen continues to hone this craft. Each visit continues to offer a new experience. While Kafi BBQ is only open Thursday - Sunday, it's still one of the most unique Texas-style BBQ joints (with a Halal twist) in all of North Texas. 1 Star.
