This was my second visit and it was outstanding on many levels. Even though it was a busy Friday night crowd and every table was full, the staff was throughly pleasant and efficient. We've been here a few times and every time it's great! This last time I saw that they changed their menu layout so while it doesn't have the XL combos anymore, it seems like the L combos for a group of 4 works just as well. The prices definitely went up a bit and that part was a bit disappointing. However, the quality is just as good as before! The staff grills for you and changes out the grill whenever needed often and replenishes the banchan and your water quickly. The combos surprisingly only come with the option of kimchi stew or doenjang soup and no steamed egg so you have to order that separately. It can get pretty loud inside and a bit crowded so sometimes if youre on the edge you'll have to scoot in a bit to make sure you don't accidentally get bumped into by staff moving around. If you're planning to come on a weekend night around prime dinner time, I would amend your plans to come even earlier and put your name on the waitlist. It can get pretty busy; we waited about 30-35 minutes with 14 parties ahead of us when we arrived the last time. read more

It's okay here. Seating is a little tricky. I was very pregnant when I came and the stools were uncomfortable with no backing. The tables were very small for our group of 6 and quite close to other tables too. I don't think any of the food stood out. It was hard trying to get their attention to ask for more bonchon. They seemed a bit annoyed. They would come over. Do one thing and rush away before we could ask for something else. It would have been easier if they waited a min for us to ask for a few things at once vs always having to flag someone down just to ask for water or napkins. Overall the visit and food was fine. We came here with the family on Thanksgiving. We were coming in from Houston for the holiday weekend and in search of a good dinner option. We were grateful this place was open. The tables are small, barely fitting 6, but it was fun. They have built in vents at each table to suck up all the smoke, but still be prepared to walk away smelling like Korean bbq. My family actually prefers à la carte Korean bbq over all you can eat, because our experience is the quality of meat is higher at à la carte. We end up spending the same amount of money but we enjoy it better. This location did not disappoint. Every cut of meat we got was delicious. I really enjoyed the barbecue at Saemaeul. We ordered the Special Mix Combo to split between 5 friends. We were worried that it won't be enough but it was the right amount to share with friends. There was a wait outside the door but you are able to check in through the Yelp app before arriving there. The wait was about an hour long for us on a Friday night. When we got there, the service was very quick and the food was delicious. Although, I would order the Beef Only Combo next time I go. The ambiance was like your authentic KBBQ joint in Asia. The quality of meat here is really good and they cook your meat for you so that's a plus. The service is nice and fast. This place always has a wait but my husband and I came and didn't have to wait too long on a Wed night. My husband and I got a beef combo. They don't do any substitutions BTW. We wanted a pork and beef combo but we didn't care for pork belly. I wish you could substitute bc i really wanted the pork jowl. You could order ala carte but the pork jowl was $39!! Expensiveeeeee. My biggest complaint is the busboys. They were working fast but working extremely fast made them super noisy. Left and right I could hear dishes clanking and dropping and slamming. An average experience at this à la carte Korean bbq restaurant. We came as a group of 12 and tried the beef combo, pancake, and other assortments of meats. The quality of meats were fresh and tender but portion sizes on the smaller side. The pancake is made thinner compared to other places. Similar to thin crust pizza; but was good. Side dishes including the soup were salty and not memorable. We did not get individual sauce trays, had to share. Table service (besides cooking the meat) was subpar compared to other similar places. We were not offered seconds on side dishes, had to ask for another canteen of water (only given a 1L canteen to split among 12 people separate between 3 tables), and the restaurant during this time was at most half full. Overall, there's better places to eat at for comparable cost. read more

This restaurant-- as I walked in was welcomed in right away. And was led to a hotpot table early prior to my family arriving and they had no issue with me holding space tho my family had not arrived. The server offered me water and brought out condiments right away. It smells heavenly when on walks into the restaurant was very clean, organized and pre setup utensils were neatly prepped for restaurant guests. There were larger family tables as well as smaller table setups for a couple of people. Parking is easy access. And double wide doors for accessibility width. read more

First visit at grand opening was a five star experience, but half a year later on my second trip here I've been left disappointed. It's simply not worth the price on top of 40 min drive I have to take. I got the beef special combo and the meat quality seemed to have gone downhill. The brisket seemed dry and tough, lacking flavor. It could be as other reviews mentioned the servers cutting it too small. I remember everything tasting so good the first visit that I was looking forward to my next return despite the high price point. Second visit the meat just wasn't hitting. Additionally, several side dishes such as the salad, green onions, and rice that pair well with the meat weren't given to us until we asked and were told they were available upon request. We were about halfway or more through the meal before we figured this out. When the green onions came, they weren't as fresh as I recalled. Especially you're paying up for the set meal prices, these things should be given upfront instead of having customers figure out what they might need to request vs. what's included. Servers were also constantly rushed, dropping meat over the table and fumbling with the overhead vent. read more

This is my first time coming to this restaurant and it was pretty pleasant! The meat quality was pretty good overall. Large Meat Combo: The meat was super tender with a slight rosemary flavor--really flavorful. The seasoned meat was incredible and very tender. The spicy pork was pretty good and not too spicy. The large steak was kind of tough and not the best, but still okay. Dumplings: The dumplings felt a bit overpriced and were just okay. There wasn't much filling, but they had a nice crisp on the outside. The KBBQ comes with a choice of soup but no steamed egg like other places. There were some cute subtle touches here and there. However, the booths weren't cleaned off and there were leftover carrots on my seat, so the place is a bit dirty... but the food was good and the seaweed soup starter was tasty too. The price of the Wagyu is lower than the typical market rate, which is great, but the marbling can sometimes be heavier than expected and not exactly like the photo shown on the menu. The service is consistently great -- the staff helps grill the meat and will switch out the grill for a clean one when needed, which I really appreciate. Overall, I prefer dining here over Ari (which often has a long wait and uses lightweight aluminum plates that are covered in small dents) and Gen Korean BBQ. The best part is the vent setup at each table right above the grill that pulls the smoke up instantly so it doesn't linger or leave you smelling like KBBQ. There are also multiple staff members constantly checking on your table to flip and cook the meat for you, so you don't have to do anything except eat and enjoy. I really like that they handle the cooking because it lets you focus on chatting with friends and actually enjoying your food. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. There was ample seating and they are very efficient with service. It was spacious, there was music playing but it was subtle not too loud. This place, staff grill for you and have the exhaust hood right over the grill that can extend down while grilling and go back up when they need to move the meat around. You can get banchan refills upon request and white rice with meal. I forgot to take pictures of menu, and obviously you do pay a little more but the quality/taste of food and service was so worth it. This KBBQ spot is hands down one of the best in the area. We ordered the small special mix combo and added beef fingers and pork jowl. The beef tongue was incredibly soft and full of flavor. The pork jowl had a nice crunchy texture, while the beef fingers were tender and delicious. The pork belly had a great balance between fat and lean meat. The service was fast and efficient--multiple staff members checked on us, took care of side dish refills, and handled all the cooking, which let us relax and enjoy time chatting with friends. I'm really disappointed because this place used to be one of my go-to spots. Unfortunately, it's clearly not the same anymore. We went on a Tuesday night, and it was very slow, so there really wasn't an excuse for the poor service. Our waitress seemed completely uninterested when I mentioned that the meat quality was not good--there was no effort to address it at all. The food overall was a letdown. Everything tasted dry, and even the soup--which I used to love--was off and didn't have the same flavor as before. I can't stop thinking about how good the meat is here. I got 1 order of the beef brisket and when it's charred it's perfection! Unlike many kbbq places, this one the servers grill the meat for you which I love since that's how it is in Korea. The enterance is still hard to find but once you're inside you get seated pretty quickly. Service is always great and it's just a really nice restaurant inside. This place is good. Checks most of the boxes. Fast service, good quality meats (except the brisket was way overly fat), and kbbq vibes from Korea. It's just overly pricey and the quantity for what you pay for lacks. The sets are actually pretty precise so there isn't much waste but I left still hungry and $100 lighter. Ari's (across the street) meat sets give you an additional cut of meat, more quantity and better sides including eggs and cheese corn. The sides here are very good and tastes clean though again with the exception of the salad. You get two types of salad here. One is seasoned and the other, hardly seasoned at all and just sliced lettuce. Again giving it to Ari because their salads are seasoned perfectly similar to what I've had in Korea. It's worth going here and I'd recommend a try since the chef is famous (maybe not so much as of recently) but I wouldn't choose this again over Ari. read more

I would say tho have 5 people at the table gets a little tight but nonetheless there was room for all.
