Food is really good. Expect to get lotta food! We only ordered one dish for two people and were stuffed. The stir fry we get was really well seasoned, even had some crispy spots from the grill. The purple rice was very flavorful. They also have complementary tea which was really nice to have. The staff were really fast and friendly. There were difficulties in our order cause the system messed up and ended up there for an extra 20 mins..... but had a refill on appetizers. All the food came out to be $19 for just us two!!! We didn't get drinks but it was a nice spicy way to get breakfast since they open pretty early.

We were looking to have a Korean food for breakfast and this was the only place that was open early enough. We almost didn't go there because I only saw large (and expensive) plates online, but we ended up going anyway. I sent it to my Korean friend for an assessment and he said it's a solid option and is actually popular in Korea. When arrived, we saw some autographs, really curious who left them. The menu actually had smaller plates, we just didn't see them online. We ordered L14 and it was still HUGE! We already had a full intention to split the plate and it actually was perfect for us! We didn't even finish all the veggies, since we got so full. Everything tasted excellent and the banchan portions were quite generous. I also loved their rice! The meal was served with a huge pot of buckwheat tea and we finished the whole thing -- it was this good. Everything came up to ~$19.00 after tax and before tip.

I came here with my parents and it's decent. Nothing crazy but also not terrible. My parents got the sooyook which was the noodle soup. You have to salt to your taste which I like because you can adjust it to your own liking. I got the bossam with oysters and honestly a solid 6/10 for the bossam and 8/10 for the oyster. The bossam was good and super soft but it was more fat than meat. I would've preferred a little more meat but still good taste. They initially forgot it and brought out a plate of squid/kimchi radish/green onion salad which was super nice of them. Oysters were super fresh and so refreshing. Had a slight sweetness to them but wow such good taste. Might throw people off with the whole ice and the bowl but tasted super fresh and rich. The vibe of the place was traditional Korean interior with wood which makes it seem more traditional. Overall, decent Korean food and would come back for the soup on a cold day!

The food was just ok. The top two things I did not appreciate about this place were the menu changing without notice and the male employee breathing down our throats while we ate. The pork belly dish that we ordered came with raw oysters (which is traditional to eat with this dish) the first time we ordered it and then the second time it came with cooked squid. It was never brought to our attention that there would be a discrepancy before we ordered and then the employee insisted that it tasted the same or better in his opinion. Pretty annoying and disrespectful if you ask me. The pork and kimchi dish was almost inedibly sour. They definitely used super fermented kimchi (which is usually great) and it just overpowered everything. The soups that we ordered were very bland and I'm not talking about sodium/salt bland, I'm talking about flavor from the ingredients just not being cooked right. We also ordered a couple of things and they never came out. When we asked the waiter where our food was he said "it's just running a little late" at first without double checking. Then when we asked him again like 15 minutes later, he checked his ordering device and realized he hadn't put the order in. It was a sad experience. Lastly there was a male employee who was seemingly very nice but he just would not leave us alone. He asked question after question and insisted that we eat our food in a certain way to his liking. It was frankly annoying, uncomfortable, and distasteful. Not to mention when he asked for feedback and we gave it to him raw, he was pretty shocked and unaccepting of our opinions. I'm not sure if we'd go back but hopefully the next time we do they can fix these flaws cuz I really wanted this place to be good.

We had lunch here on a weekday and it was great. Had the galbijjim, spicy stir fried intestines, and ox special soup. Galbijjim portion is huge. We had leftovers for 2 days, mind you we have two young kids as well. The service was nice and quick. I love the family feel to the restaurant - loved the friendliness of the hosts. Definitely coming back.

Clean establishment with friendly service. Food was delish and portions were plentiful. Definitely come with an appetite or prepare to take some home with you.

The seats were not cleaned prior to us being seated. It stained and completely ruined my ($400) pants! Please pay more attention to the cleanliness of your tables. The food was solid 3/5. The experience was ruined with the previous detail though.

If you like fresh kimchi, you'd like the kimchi here. My husband liked it but I like my kimchi a little fermented. The braised beef was good. I definitely recommend getting this dish. The pork belly was ok for me. I like to eat it with Napa cabbage but that's not offered here. It comes with raw oysters but we asked for it cooked. It came out semi raw and not a good taste. The soup with variety of meat was ok. I'd get a smaller portion instead of this big one. Overall, it's a good place for family sharing kind of food. Also, I like their purple rice too!

Yum!! Came with a group of 4 and were seated right away at dinner on Friday night. It got pretty busy as we were leaving since it's a pretty small place. This restaurant is delicious and feels super authentic! I got the Seolleongtang or ox bone soup with noodles and it was fantastic! They have a lot of sharing dishes as well so easy to choose something for everyone to share and try! They don't do a big variety of banchan but otherwise the quality of the food is great. Highly recommend this little gem in this little packed Korean area.

A welcoming atmosphere with quick seating and a homelike feel. We came around 5pm on Saturday and had a seat immediately. The menu is simple and there is a QR code to scan for photos. We ordered the dakgalbi / chicken galbi and the squid/beef bulgogi. It came with side dishes and rice. The flavor on the chicken galbi was good and fairly spicy. It does not have a pan-seared taste and the meat pieces are cut in medium sizes and are dark meat. I liked it because it also came with the rice stick (tteokbokki) that was soft and flavorful. The bulgogi was probably the better dish because it had more flavor. It was also quite spicy as well. The beef had a pan-seared and deeper flavorful while the squid was bouncy and fresh. Portion sizes were good and maybe we ate less because it was spicier than what I am used to. However, loved the food! They also give you barley water in a warm kettle and you can pour it over your rice for nurungji.

This place is amazing. Tiny & very unique restaurant. Server is super friendly & helpful. He recommends on what is the number seller. The bossam is definitely yummy. The squid & pork dishes is very good too. Will definitely be back soon to try the ginseng chicken.

I love this place! The Jinkook is a cute intimate Korean restaurant with authentic food and great kimchi and rice. They are unique in that they serve nice selections of sprouts soup, which is traditionally eaten as breakfast in Korea. It's a light anchovy-based broth with plenty head-on sprouts (different from Vietnamese sprouts) served in earthenware pot and you eat them by adding rice and raw egg in the soup accompanied by side of kimchi. The egg cooks from the heat of the broth and helps make the soup creamy. It's a simple yet comforting dish and The Jinkook is the first to specialize in them in DFW. Oxbone soup is another soup dish that is often eaten as breakfast in Korea. It is a cloudy rich ox bone broth that has been simmered for hours and is eaten with rice inside the soup and plenty of beef. As The Jinkook specializes in both of these breakfast items, their business hours start at 8AM. Not only are their breakfast items great, their other items such as buckwheat cold noodle soup, gingseng chicken soup, stir-fried chicken and pork belly are excellent. Their bossam could be more moist but the accompaniment of ample amount of oysters help with that. The only thing I've had that I wouldn't order again is stir fried beef intestines, I thought it was too chewy and wasn't a fan of the sauce. Another thing that sets this place apart from some other Korean restaurants in the area is the quality and freshness of their kimchi and a healthy and traditional way of serving purple rice in a metal pot that is hot. Their kimchi comes in different forms, one of the way is a white kimchi, which is non-spicy kimchi that comes in it's brine like a soup and you eat them with a spoon with the brine. It is very refreshing and not many Korean restaurants serve these anymore. Their regular kimchi is also very good, one of the fresher kimchi I've had and comes semi-whole so you would need to cut them in bite sized pieces at the table. Once you are almost done eating the purple rice that comes in the metal pot, pour the hot barley tea that they give you in to the bowl for a comforting scorched rice soup. It's a great way to end your meal. All in all, most of the food I've had here have been great and the portion size is very large and easily shareable. They do an excellent job with their side dishes and I really appreciate them upholding authenticity of how the food is served. The service is also excellent as well. Give it a try!

The food was good, and the server was nice and attentive. It was my first time trying bossam with raw oyster, which was definitely an interesting combo - worth a try if you're up for something different! There are a lot of new Korean spots opening up lately, and this one is definitely worth checking out.
