Smaller restaurant with a vibe similar to KFC, except here you'll get better food! I can only rate my order pick-up experience , where the female employee was friendly and helped me promptly. One thing to note is that some of the side dishes have different prices on online orders when you add them on to your entrees vs. adding them separately ($.99 + difference). **Average Dish Cost(s): Under $8. **Food: 3 Piece White Meat Meal ($9.28)-- I chose white meat ($.80) and extra biscuits ($1.89) which increased the price from $6.59. The chicken was extremely delicious. It tasted fresh despite my order being late in the day and the skin was crisp and seasoned so well that I ate all of it. Usually I'll peel the skin off and discard it, but not this time. The white meat was juicy and nothing pink was found. 10/10. Extra biscuits ($1.89)-- These biscuits were some of the best I've ever had. Their outward appearance didn't match how delicious they were. They were soft and had an essence of honey to them. Side Mashed Potatoes ($2.99)-- I admit I was hesitant to eat this because I expected more of a brown gravy, but these were amazing! Not too salty and they tasted fresh. **Seating: Looked to have regular table style seating that is closed off due to the virus issue. **Location: It's located next to a bunch of other establishments within a mini strip type of place. Google GPS lead me to a park that's a but away, so be careful. Lots of parking spaces. read more

If you ever feel like eating KFC, take a good long look at yourself in the mirror and remind yourself of this place first. KKC has some of the best halal fried chicken I've had in the US, especially in the DFW area. This is one of those comfort meals you crave at 9 PM on a Tuesday that can't be beat. The ambiance is that of your average hole in the wall chicken joint. Overall I rate this place 8 s/10. ------------ The Zinger burger (basically a spicy chicken sandwich) is my go to order from here, a solid 8.5/10. They always put a huge chicken patty in there and a generous amount of sauce. You really can't go wrong. Their chicken itself is an 8/10, upgraded to 8.5 with the garlic sauce. They really got the spices down right. I would not recommend the Mac and cheese (5/10), it's very watery and lacked any flavor. The potato wedges were great though. (Although I'm not sure how you could mess those up). read more

I was tempted to try this place out since it had such high reviews. I don't really understand the hype around it. Everything I ordered was really dry. Nice staff though read more

Best fried krispy krunchy chicken ever. I love how tasty and fresh it is all the time. Never raw and cooked perfectly. I always get 4 pieces of drumsticks and 4 pieces of thighs for my son and I to share with honey buttered biscuits and a side of fries. Everything was perfect. Come here for your fried chicken fix, you will not be disappointed and prices are great . Love it ! read more

I do not know the history of this location. The reviews from years ago were more favorable than what has been shared recently. It makes me wonder if there has been a change in ownership or management. I've heard good things about this place over the years. My recent experience does not match what I've heard. I was not pleased with how the team members managed restaurant up keep, cooking and order handling. It did not appear to be a single person assign to a single job. I recall one team member walking around doing odd jobs and then putting my order together. Hmmm where are your gloves? Did you wash your hands before touching my food order? I had already paid for my food so I was stuck with whatever happened. The food was ok and greasy. The biscuit was too doughy. I ended up tossing it. I'd rather return to a major fried chicken franchise than order from here again. read more

First time in this part if Texas but if you haven't tried this place yet you should! Yummy food very flavorful we got mac n cheese , chicken tenders, cajun shrimp, seasoned fries and wings.Everything was really tasty and juicy just gave four stars because they don't give you dipping sauce for the tenders or wings but we did get ketchup . Thank you definitely will try again when we make it out here again ! read more

A lone star in this part of Texas when it comes to Halal Fried Chicken, KKC has kept my business and motivated me to make the ~30 minute drive when myself or a family member is craving the salty and savory flavors they offer. They've slowly earned their reputation through consistency and quality. The service aspect is relatively minimal, natural to the small interior and to-go focused methodology, but quality nonetheless. Staff keep the location clean, menus up to date, and willingly cook fresh batches of whatever you order, generally should you request them to do so. The only concern I've ever had was the wait time for some orders, but it's understandable for orders that are either relatively complex or large in quantity. The food here is the main star, and what we really drew me in, following a sampling I had at a private event. The fried chicken is definitely stain-your-fingers greasy, but not overtly salty or chewy as many have come to expect from other options. They also have unique tenders, a sampling of chicken sandwiches to either whet your appetite or complement your meal and multiple sides all iconic to the 'soul food' scene in some fashion. Their sauces are varyingly suitable accompaniments, while the Honey biscuits rounds out every bite they're in perfectly. I'm a personal repeat offender when it comes to family sized orders, as true to their name, they satisfy the whole family for an understandably adequate price. Carrying this out, KKC has earned its keep in multiple regards, from take-out to catering, through its aforementioned consistency and quality. Any of my guests who've tried it, have loved it, and I'm sure you and yours will as well. It's worth making the trip to try a lot of what they have to offer, especially after taking that first bite of...Krispy Krunchy Chicken! read more

Chicken, and chicken gizzards are AWESOME. There hasn't been an item on their menu that I haven't enjoyed. Service has been good, although once my ordered item was incorrect. They corrected it without issue. It's a "fast food" place so the ambiance is "meh." read more

WOW. I was not expecting to be this satisfied. Was missing home and the incredible friend chicken of NC so I decided to check this spot out to cure my homesickness and I was pleasantly surprised. My friend and I ordered the thigh, leg and wing dark meat combo and man it was delicious. Even though it was insanely greasy (the best fried chicken usually is) it was so easy to pull right off the bone. Just writing this review is making me salivate thinking about it . Can't recommend enough for large party gatherings! read more

The Zinger sandwich is where it's at!! Their fried chicken is also really good for a "fast food" restaurant. I placed an order for KKC through UberEats, and they delivered within the communicated time. I tried: -Krispy Zinger Sandwich ($4.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=eF8VetTgRk76dpJC6Y0Oxw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Awesome fried chicken sandwich! The chicken patty was crispy, and the sauce really tied it together- highly recommended! -1 Piece Fish w/Biscuit ($4.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6pAakctrO9W2r4BUSrea0Q&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Just ok, but I'm not a big fan of fried fish. The biscuit was good though, buttery and fluffy. -2 Pieces Dark Chicken w/Biscuit ($3.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=GOE9J4RCr2TENhiyQ8zUrw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Great fried chicken, and seasoned well. I loved the crispiness of the skin, and of course the biscuit- highly recommended! -Seasoned Fries (Small/$1.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LaFIbhfptkgsRwB7hkPZZg&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Solid fries, but nothing special. -Mashed Potato & Gravy (Small/$2.49, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ZPMIOU29gAkVCxslCsIWtw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Just ok- the mashed potatoes were too pureed. -Mac n Cheese (Small/$2.49): Just ok, nothing special- skip! -Fried Okra (Small/$2.19, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=gZ8tORMnw1PL5v3qibjxKQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Solid fried okra, and it was nice and crispy. -Crispitos ($1.89, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=fbC2efW03lQPoIkFzIBsmA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Too dry; however, I'm not a taquitos fan and wouldn't order this again. I also ordered their whole jalapenos (2/$1) and they were crazy spicy (which was awesome). Only order these if you like to eat spicy. I re-order their Zinger sandwich and fried chicken again if craving chicken. read more

I came here on my lunch break and ordered a chicken breast and mac n cheese. Let me tell you, the chicken looks so good under the heat lamp, so I was excited. Unfortunately, the chicken was so salty I couldn't even finish it. It was definitely crunchy and had flavor, but the salt overpowered it. The mac n cheese was decent although the noodles were very firm but at least I could finish it. I don't if it was a bad batch or just me. I wished I enjoyed it more. read more

Ok let me start out by saying that I went in for the chicken only...but I decided on a combo meal! I would have given the chicken a solid 4 because it was pretty good. I had the straight fries and a biscuit. The fries were not good at all and the biscuit was not like any biscuit that I've ever eaten. It did not have the texture of a biscuit so really it kinda looked like one but it wasn't. Not a good taste at all. My fur baby loved it but he liked everything! I'll be back for the chicken only! read more

I'm new to the Irving area, so I googled up a spot for some fried seafood. Now, I'm always side-eyeing Cajun/Creole places because I'm a native Louisianian & everything that says "Cajun/Creole" ain't "Cajun/Creole." So, I find the spot, look at the people (more side-eyeing). Ok, the part you want to actually read, I ordered a piece of fish and 5 shrimp w/jambalaya & 2 wings. They didn't have a fish & shrimp basket, that sucked, who doesn't have that? Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Anyways, I wanted to sample a few items. The food was pretty good, not Cajun/Creole, but good enough that I'll go back again. It was definitely krispy. They'd get 4 stars if they had fish and shrimp baskets & the communication was better. read more

Fast food, hole in the wall kind of place. I got four of their chicken tenders, should have gotten only two or three, (I don't eat alot at one time). The tenders were chicken breast meat, not processed, pressed chicken meat. The seasoning was Cajun style, but not spicy. It was a different flavor profile but tasty. If you are wanting a reasonably priced, flavorful meal for yourself or family, I would recommend this place. read more

I had the chicken strips they were very tasty I will go back again.

I really wanted to like this place because of the great reviews, but it was average at best. We tried the zinger and the chicken wrap. We only waited 10 minutes for our food and ate right away in the car. The zinger was flavorful but the chicken wasn't fresh. It was just slightly warm and not at all crispy. I'm guessing they fried it earlier in the day and had it sitting in a warmer? The waffle fries were hot and freshly made, probably the best thing we got. read more

All the tenders were still pink and uncooked on inside!!!!! They didn't send any sauces with the meal either!!!

For a random stop at a no name chicken place I was actually surprised. The chicken is definitely well seasoned and the biscuits are soooo good and warm fresh from the oven. The customer service is very good. Nice and friendly.! Food is cooked fast. The chicken and chicken tenders are amazing, excellent flavor.! The sides are also good, no Seasoning on any of the sides so if you are trying to stay away from salt then these sides are for you. They call it biscuits but to me it tastes like cornbread, and they are pretty good. Overall I'd say if your looking for something new, check this place out. read more

Amazing experience. My husband found this gem "hole in the wall" type restaurant through his work. He talked it up so much we decided to try as a family. glad we did. we showed up about 8:30 and the place was BUSY! but not like you cant get in and order. it was real quick service. chicken is constantly hitting the fryer and then flying out the door. Seriously the best tenders ever. and their honey biscuits are to die for. The staff is all so sweet and that makes it the best experience. Seriously if the business owner reads this. the staff is always so nice and professional. We love it. its a bit of a drive for us but worth it. read more

Been passing this place for years since it's close to my job so today I decided to stop...I would've given it like 3.5 stars but that wasn't an option lol. I ordered a 3 pc combo w/ a drink & it was like $10 & sum change when I can go to the hood & pay half that & better chicken but it's in Irving/ Las Colinas a pricey area. Chicken was fresh & krunchy my only complaints were the price, jalepeno pepper was soggy, and they advertise brown gravy but only have white & after 2 pcs I was full https://s3-media3.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/vO-VHdv8SdRJorA_Q0GbFA/168s.jpg read more

This place was pretty active when I stopped by. One person was getting their order at the takeout window (where's the door should be) and after I ordered my food, 3 more showed up within ten minutes. Most of the staff were wearing masks but not all of them. Hot wings were decidedly not hot. More along the mild spicy sauce level of Taco Bell. Salty as well but good flavor otherwise. The mixed bucket was good and the chicken pretty most. Giant pieces. Macaroni and cheese was 4/5 stars. I should've ordered more. I'd definitely eat here again. read more

4pc tender w 1 biscuit they try to get me for $11 no fries no drink. Then to ask for a tip is crazy. ‍

Chicken was very good, and the only reason I give it a 3 star rating due to the fact that this restaurant is like a halal place. They don't serve pork here. The boudin bites aren't on the menu, but they have it on the menu in Yelp. The jambalaya doesn't have sausage in it. So, they need to update their menu. read more

Truth in advertising, this is some crispy Krispy chicken! I have been seeing them for awhile and decide to stop in and give them a try. I ordered a tenders meal and it was okay. Not really my taste, but I could tell it was quality ingredients. If anything though, I like my chicken a bit more moist than this was prepared. The french fries were nothong special either. Just okay. The biscuits and the service though were both outstanding, and perhaps the only two things that really stuck out to me. I do like that they serve Community Tea, one of my favorite brands of commercial teas and coffees. read more

Never heard of this place before but I was checking out their menu and it started calling my name. They have a lot of unusual side items which was a draw for me. I definitely want to try out their red beans and rice next time, as well as sample their chicken tenders. For this first visit I got a 2 piece with a biscuit which starts at $3.99. If you want all white meat or a mix of white and dark it's an extra 50 cents which isn't bad. This indicates to me that you're likely to get dark meat if you don't specify. I also noticed if you wanted to choose the chicken, such as all drums, it's an extra $2. The wing I got was kind of scrawny but the breast had a lot of meat and more than made up for it. The skin is definitely extra crispy which was tasty. The biscuit was crispy and had honey baked in the top layer. I'm more of a yeast roll person but if I'm going to do biscuits, this is the way I prefer them. Worth ordering on their own or an extra if you like biscuits. The portion size was large for the price and they also offer family meals. Since the prices were so reasonable I decided to sample a few sides. The mac and cheese was $2.49 (so is the red beans and rice) and it was okay but I would rather try something new than order it again. It was slightly overcooked and had way too much sauce on it for my personal taste. The crispito was $1.89 and I only ordered it because I was curious. I immediately recognized it as it's quite popular for breakfast in New Mexico gas stations. It's rolled up tortilla with cheese and chicken, deep fried. The size was very generous for the price but there wasn't enough chicken in there to order it again. I had several bites in a row without any chicken. The fried corn on a cob is $1.99 and I ordered it because I never heard of such a thing. It's deep fried with a breading, but the breading is really thin so the corn still comes through and it's got a good crunch. I really enjoyed this and would absolutely order this again. In fact, I enjoyed the chicken, biscuit and corn on the cob so much that I didn't care the other two sides were below average. I would definitely return for those items or to try new items and I would absolutely get the corn and biscuits again- yum! Be warned in case you are taking it to go, their napkins are laughable. They are the tiny, thin square gas station napkins you get with your coffee so you'll need a lot. I mean, it's fried chicken, you got to have napkins. If I didn't have a stash in my office that would have been annoying, so now you know. I definitely don't recommend if your New Years resolution included eating healthy but if you are looking for a cheat day at a reasonable price, this is it. read more

Came in craving for fried chicken. It was about 30 minutes until they closed and we placed a order for the family 12 piece. They didn't have enough and told us it was going to be a 15 minute wait for our order, so we decided to wait. They were really nice and told us they'll put more in or could've just told us they weren't frying anymore. But it was a good idea to have waited. By the way this is a hala certified restaurant. After we waited we received our food and took it to go. My bf and I had some while in the car because it was so fresh, oh boy was it juicy and crispy! It was worth the wait. After we got home we had some more and it was still juicy and crispy. The biscuit was nice and crispy just the way I like it. Overall, service was great and food lived up to their name. I would recommend this place if you are hungry for fried chicken. read more

Very hit or miss. I say this because there are times where I've gone and the chicken is fried on point. Then other times, the chicken is tough like maybe it was fried too long? I will say the sweet & sour sauce is the best option for the chicken in my opinion if you decide to try. read more

Ordered the 2 piece chicken and tenders meal. It was cooked fresh to order. The bone-in chicken wasn't spicy as I expected. The tenders weren't spicy either.
