Classic cheeseburger
Amy W.

If I were writing this review the day I came here, I probably would have given it two stars because I was so frustrated. Today I'm feeling a bit more generous, so I'll give it three. The good news is that the burger is absolutely delicious. The pizza, on the other hand, is just okay. Most of my issues were with the service. I do know the servers name but will not mention it. We visited around 2 pm on a Wednesday, and the small dining room had a couple of tables that needed to be cleared. They stayed that way for quite a while. It also took some time for the only server working to come over and give us menus. Most of the time we were there - she was in the kitchen talking shit in the kitchen. When she returned, we ordered the lunch special of two slices. She asked if we wanted drinks, and we said we already had water. What she did not mention is that the lunch special comes with a drink, and of course we would have enjoyed a soda if we had known. The burger came out first and we planned to split it - I asked for a knife, that never came after about 5 mins, I saw them over by the register and grabbed one, about 3 mins after that she brought a knife over (and she had SEEN ME go get the knife, so this was totally passive aggressive) . It was a fantastic smash burger on a classic roll with onions and a slightly spicy sauce. It comes with chips, and you can upgrade to fries for $3, but we didn't. My husband's pizza slices took much longer. We had finished the burger and were still waiting another 15 minutes for the two slices. I finally asked about them, and the server said they were coming soon because they had to make a fresh pie for our order. As a former New Yorker who knows her slices, I can tell you they were NOT from a fresh pie. You can tell by the way the cheese is set on top of the pie, it is much looser if the pie is fresh/ It was frustrating to wait that long and then be given an excuse that didn't feel honest. A simple, "Sorry, I missed that, I'm on it," would have been better. The pizza was fine overall, and I did appreciate that they use real sausage crumbles and fresh mushrooms. That burger really was excellent, so I might come back for that alone, but the service had me boiling, and I'm usually a pretty mellow and forgiving person when it comes to restaurants.

Love sauce'd Sundays! My friends and I do fiber day at the yarn shop down the way on Sunday afternoons and we LOVE sauce'd!! Everything here is amazing! Pizza, wings, and the smash burgers. And the fries. They are so good and family owned/run. It is a great spot

Came to Sauce'd on a Wednesday around 12:45 pm. It was VERY busy, which is exciting to see! Love to see local businesses THRIVING! The person at the front greeted us right away and asked us how many we had. There were 5 of us, so we always expect to wait. They went over to a table that could seat 5, but only had 2, and asked them if they minded moving to a different table; they did, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was full and compact, so there was definitely some noise, but it wasn't so bad that you couldn't have a conversation. The bathrooms were very well kept and clean. It looked like they only had one person waiting tables, but there were several people running food out, so it wasnt too bad. She was able to get to us fairly quickly, and it allowed us to look through the menu and get our order sorted so that by the time she came to us, we were able to order our food. Wanted to try their pizza and their burgers, so we ordered a Honey Pep, a Margherita, and a Jalapeno Burger. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Like SO good! The lattice on the burger was great, it was seasoned really well, the jalapenos had some good spice to it, and I really liked the Dad's sauce that was on it as well. The pizza, SUPER crispy, not too much cheese, which is great, awesome flavor as well. The service was fantastic, the food was EXCELLENT, and the restaurant was great! Especially for a lunchtime rush. Prices are not bad at all, and the food is definitely worth it! If you are in the Grapevine area, check this place out, we will be back for sure!

$14 for burger and chips

I have been seeing this place on social media for quite some time and was so excited to finally swing in and grab a Smashburger. There is definitely limited seating inside so be prepared for a small wait, especially if you're with a large group. The restaurant is very casual and has a large variety of menu and burgers to choose from. I went with the classic smash burger and although it was tasty, I could not get past how greasy it was and how it was dripping grease and that they were charging three extra dollars for fries on top of a $14 burger just seems a little absurd because they know everybody will charge to fries instead of taking a bag of lays. The special sauce was more chiptole heavy than I expected. Overall good- wouldn't get the burger again, I would try the pizza.

TOP 3 BEST SMASH burger in DFW! It was incredible! I wasn't sure what to expect cause I've never had a burger at a pizza restaurant but I was wrong! Wow this burger was so good! I had takeout on a Friday night. Took about 20 minutes ordered online. There is a small walk up window as soon as you walk in and it looked packed and I know why now. Pizza was good as well! Solid spot for all your cravings! I will be returning no doubt!

Has a good burger but I'm disappointed with the management. I ordered delivery, got the wrong burger and had another item missing. Management said they will rectify and call me back. I've called twice out of courtesy and it's the same story. They'll call me back and fix it but never do... disappointed. Do think they have a good burger but lot left to be desired in other areas. I've ordered a few times from here not sure I will again. Pizza was mediocre though. Stick to the burgers

Okay so I've been itching to try this burger spot since I saw it on TikTok and finally had a chance to. I initially ordered it to go but it smelled and looked so good I ate it right there instead. The burger was that good that I ordered another one right before they were closing and that was good as well. Definitely a 5/5 spot and lived up to the hype! If ever in the area again I'd for sure stop by

I ordered the pizza lunch special and the builet bourbon burger and fries The pizza crust over cooked and a little burnt, the fries tasted good but were not hot at all. The thing that made it all worth while was the Bulliet bourbon burger, bun was soft and warm and whole burger all together was great with the Dad sauce. Service was ok but I get it they were super busy. Really small place but all in all it was ok.

Okay Sauce'd is definitely one of my favorite restaurants here in Dallas. We get it for lunch sometimes at the office. The wings hit, the pizza hits (esp with pepperoni and hot honey), but my favorite thing is definitely the Jalapeño Jack burger. Crispy edges, right amount of heat, and great texture to the burger. Love this place!!

Menu is not very clear. Had to ask difference in NY and TX style. Still not sure what the exact difference is. Menus advertises NY by slice. We were told they ran out? Yet they are cranking pizzas out left and right. The pizza it self (tx pepperoni with honey) was disappointing. My son liked it. But it was greasy and nothing special. I usually like crust and left their tx crust on the plate. Was waiting on water refill for most of the meal. But I will say the waitress was very friendly. Just wasn't very engaged with our table. I also heard another waiter drop a couple of FBombs about a poor tip. It was just casual to another waiter but not good for a family friendly place. The place has some good music playing and lots of neat movie themed jerseys. Happy Gilmore was playing on mute on a tv to complete the theme. Only reason I gave a third star was my son seemed to like it more than I did. P.S. If you are digestive sensitive to fennel like I am. They lean towards using it more heavily.

TX Honey Pep (Add Ricotta)

Like many others, we found out about this place from social media pics/videos, and the food looked amazing. This is a pretty small spot tucked in a shopping center. You enter and check in at the to-go window. We waited maybe 5 min at 1145 on a Monday, off to a good start. Service was quick and friendly, everyone seemed a bit frantic. It was busy but the place is small and it wasn't full. Overall service was solid. Ordered a Bourbon Jam smash burger, Honey Pep (Texas style - add ricotta), and a few [canned] beers. Food and drinks were VERY good. The smash burger alone is definitely worth coming to try. Pizza was solid, Texas crust not anything to write home about, but again... solid. Here's where I got a little confused, we were the last table to be served a smash burger - every table after us was told they were out "for a while". I'm not sure what that means, I guess we got lucky because if they were out when we ordered, probably would've went somewhere else. Seemed odd to run out an hour after opening, but I don't run a restaurant and I did get a burger, so all good :) Overall this was a really really solid spot. We'd definitely come back, but we'd skip it if there was a big wait. Thanks for lunch!

Amazingly good slice

So we've heard about Sauce'd for a long time but never got that way from our comforts of far north Fort Worth. We happened to be in the area on a Saturday and decided to give it a try. It was a late lunch around 1:30 but that didn't help at all. The only thing negative I'll say about this place is it's too popular and the dining room only has about 15 tables. We ended up waiting for about 25 minutes and it was a cold rainy day too. There's really nothing formal for so make sure you get your name on the list or people might try to sneak in front of you. The inside is small but cozy. The smells of amazing food will make you drool. It's a sports theme so you'll get ample opportunity to watch sports on the TV's. The staff all seem like family and very friendly. Now comes the food. We both ordered burgers (at a pizza place????) because that's what we keep hearing about. A slice of pizza was our appetizer and WOW that didn't disappoint. The crust is very well cooked and crispy...like really crispy and delicious!!!! I had buyers remorse thinking I made a mistake by not splitting a pizza with my wife. Well that was all thrown out the door when they delivered our burgers and fries. I got a double patty mushroom and Swiss with fries. Can't tell you what my wife got because I was lost after my first bite. Let me quote my wife...."this may be the best burger I've ever had."!!! No joke this burger is packed with flavor, seasonings and an incredible char. Then you throw in the perfect toasted with just the right amount of vegetables. Seriously, I'm a burger aficionado and this was one of the best I've ever eaten! Then those fries were PERFECT! Crips, seasoned and plenty of them. What can I say except be prepared to wait for a meal that will blow your heads off! Oh.....they don't overprice their food either! That's the icing on the cake.

The OG Burger. You can see that the meat is singed pretty badly.

This restaurant has been on my visit list for quite some time and was highly anticipated. Today, for Father's Day, my Family took me to Sauce'd for what I just knew would be the best and pizza I've ever had. I must honestly say, it wasn't. We ordered The OG, the Jalapeño Jack, the Classic, the Bourbon Jam and we ordered a 20 inch Pepperoni Pizza. I'm sad to say that our burgers were severely overcooked to the point of being burnt. Even the buns were burnt. The jalapeños were the only thing that wasn't burnt as they weren't grilled or cooked whatsoever. They were raw with seeds. I can only image that IF the burgers had not been burnt, they would have been excellent but unfortunately I can't. The pizza was good but it was very greasy. The crust was crispy but became soggy once the grease from the cupped curled pepperoni soaked in. The service was good and the ambiance of the restaurant was small. We had to split our party of 5 in order to be timely seated. There were a few TV screens but the music was being played at quite a loud volume. Maybe turn it down just a little. Disappointed but know they can be better. Maybe just a bad day for them this Father's Day. Date of visit: 6/15/2025 Time between 1-3PM

The business grew and he opened a handful of other locations around the country. Ambiance: The restaurant is casual, but had a lot of intentional use of the space. There were wine racks, and even a private room where they have pizza making classes ($195 per person ). Service: Our server was Michelle. She was so kind as we danced around the idea of sitting on the patio vs indoors. The patio only had about 2 seats and it was windy that day. We decided to sit inside. Michelle was very friendly, and came by often to check in on us. Food: The pizzas are made in-house and very thin, just like the ones I've had in Italy. They have traditional pizzas and their famous "star" shaped pizzas. We decided to order the star Carlos pizza. The pizza blended Spanish/Mexican and Italian cuisines together by mixing Spanish chorizo, avocado, jalapeño, with ricotta, fresh tomatoes, and Italian Parmesan cheese. We were brought upstairs to this little loft area, which felt....like we were being punished. Now we were only a 2 top, so I can understand that they may not have a spot or wanted us to take up a 4-top on a Saturday night, but it felt...CRAMPED up there. This place really does seem fun, but it was very hard to enjoy it up in the attic... As far as the restaurant, it was very clean and well kept, no issues with how everything looked. Nothing was really out of place, although it did feel like the upstairs was a storage area. We ordered the Killer Queso for an appetizer, which was served with fritos. Odd choice for fritos, but hey, all good, didnt take away from the appetizer. What took away from the appetizer was the fact that this felt like it was heated up from a can. The cheese was not really seasoned well and it was already clumpy, like it had been left out for a while. Then we ordered 2 pizzas; The Bees Knees (spicy red sauce, hot soppressata, fresh moz, basil, honey) and Local Goat & Fig (bacon, goat cheese, free moz, dried figs, balsamic glaze, basil). Here is where I continue to say that pizza is a very opinionated meal, so your taste may differ, but this was my take. Flavor was there, I liked the pizza, it had a nice crispy crust, however, as far as the bee's knees, there was no spicy that pizza at all, like zero heat. The Goat & Fig was good, like the flavors they put on that pizza. The crust did lack some flavor and could have used some olive oil maybe. There was a nice crispy to the crust, like I said, but ZERO crisp on the bottom of it, which is odd. they had a nice wood fired oven (at least I think it was wood, hard to tell from the attic). So you thin they could get a nice bottom, but hey, it is what it is. Drinks. Had a OB Hef and also a Prickly Pear Mule, both were DIVINE, best part of the evening! Staff. Well, lets just say, she started off like she was going to be fun, but really felt like we were annoying her to have been seated up there. I could understand with having to walk up and down a narrow staircase with food and drinks. She must have passed us 5-6 times and we had not touched any more of our pizza. She finally did bring us a box for it. Overall, price was not bad, the drinks were awesome, the service was meh and the meal was meh. I think that this place could be KILLING IT, and maybe it was just an off night, perhaps we will try it again with a bigger party to see how it is.
