I don't understand what happened to this restaurant. I ordered delivery via grub hub and it was the biggest waste of money. Why is there SO MUCH WATER in the pasta?? The noodles were SO soggy and overcooked like they've been sitting in water for hours. The meatballs... I'm not convinced there is actual meat in it???? They were GRAINY and fell apart before I could chew. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I've never spoken so poorly of a restaurant. This is absolutely horrible and unacceptable. I can't believe they took my money for this. Even the rolls were bad. Just plain, DRY bread - no butter, garlic, ANYTHING. All of it was YUCK. How can I get my money back???? FOOD WASTE

Worst service ever. Lisa is the manager and she has an attitude problem. She threatens to call the police. I return a pizza that the vegetables were not fresh and she had an attitude. Called the owner and was told to make me a medium because it was yesterday when I picked up pizza. That is crazy. She is very rude and when I told her she was being rude, so told me to get out and she is not making me anything.

The service was great, very attentive and it is a family owned local business. The food is all made from scratch, my family and I loved it. We had the mozzarella sticks and the marinara was very good. The pizza was very good as well with a slight crunch to the crust. The Alfredo sauce used in one of our dishes is also made to order and it was amazing. We will for sure be back for another round. Come check it out!

I'm all about supporting local business and this was one that popped up. It had decent reviews so we decided to give them a try. It's was around noon so we didn't know what to expect as far as crowd but surprisingly the restaurant was empty. A very nice gentleman sat us down and brought us some water. We ordered our food- which took forever! Especially since no one other than us were there. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and my guest had the lasagna. My Alfredo was a sloppy wet mess- not exactly like what you see in some of the pictures, plus it lacked flavor- like salt or garlic- totally skip it!! My guests dish tasted better but was wet inside so I could tell it was from frozen, probably the resin it took so damn long. Also, the house made dressing for the salad does in fact taste like ketchup. We ordered a pizza to go for our son and it was decent but nothing really to write about. I'd really hope they survive as they are new owners but in order to do that they will desperately need a recipe overhaul. Anyway, I hope they receive the message as very constructive so they can save their business

Capellini Gamberretti

Had a nice dinner at Amore's. Love that this spot is BYOB so we took a good bottle of wine in with us to enjoy. Very friendly folks and service, you can tell they value your business. I had the Capellini Gamberretti which is shrimp with garlic and basil tomato sauce and angel hair pasta. It was good, would have preferred a couple more shrimp but wasn't so few that I felt cheated by any means. My wife ordered the Eggplant Rollatini and it was very good, with ricotta, marinara, and mozzarella. Casual and comfortable atmosphere, we'll be back to try it again.

Pizza with spinach, mushrooms, olives and onion. Delicious.

This neighborhood staple had long been a curiosity for me over the last 6 years I have lived in the area. When I finally mustered up the courage to try it - it shut down. Later, it reemerged. Now, during the shutdown, we decided to give it a shot with its newly implemented food delivery. The pizza we ordered was the stuff of legend. We have tried the Margherita and the Florentine, as well as some custom pizzas. For starters we have tried the mozzarella sticks and a salad. The mozzarella sticks are legion, and the quality is superb. Tasty breading with zero grease and all the flavor as well as that house-made dipping sauce - excellent. The pizzas - they are all of the highest quality. The toppings go from edge to edge, hemisphere to hemisphere. Let my pictures do the talking. Flavorwise -excellent. Texture of the crust - pinnacle. Customer service - top notch. Amore's - you are at the top of our pizza food chain. Prepare yourselves. Thank you for coming back to Grapevine and for the food and customer service you provide.

You can see the grease seeping onto the paper. Spots of crust were burnt. I am ok with a little burnt, but, this was too much. Gosh

If you are looking for a charming, "no-frills" spot for classic Italian-American comfort food, this is a very dependable option. The absolute highlight of our visit was the staff. The people here couldn't have been nicer! They were welcoming and extremely accommodating, especially when it came to customizing my order. Food: * House Salads: We started with the house salads featuring their homemade tomato vinaigrette. It was unique--it tasted like they might incorporate some of their tomato sauce into the dressing base. It was okay, though perhaps an acquired taste if you prefer a sharper vinaigrette. * Eggplant Parm & Custom Pasta: I ordered the Eggplant Parm and asked to swap the side pasta for angel hair with vodka sauce. They were happy to do it for a small upcharge. The eggplant itself was quite good! My only critique is that the sauce was very chunky (I like a smoother sauce) and the portion of it was a bit overwhelming, but that might just be a personal preference. * Fettuccine Alfredo: My husband went with the classic Alfredo. He described it as a "solid 7/10"--nothing was wrong with it at all, just a standard, reliable version of the dish that satisfied the craving. Final Thoughts Cafe Italia is a sweet little place that is a decent option if you're hungry for the classics and want to be treated like family. We're glad we finally checked it off our list!

We showed up about 30 minutes ahead of our reservation, so we had a drink at the bar (I ordered the martini - it was great). They seated us less than 10 minutes after we arrived. We ordered arancini and the house salad and split both and then for our meals, I ordered the barolo shrimp pasta and my husband got the cacio e pepe. Both dishes were fantastic. My pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was velvety and full of flavor. The shrimp was also cooked perfectly. The arancini were also delicious. Only minor suggestion would be to include a little more marinara or some type of sauce to dip the arancini in but it was still really good. Our server was very good and the restaurant itself has a cozy vibe without your table being on top of the one next to you. Side note: the bar is huge and probably seats about 20 people. It seemed like a good percentage of the people at the bar maybe live in the neighborhood which is cool. We'll definitely be back!

If you do not know what cacio e pepe is, it is a dish with a few ingredients (pasta, cheese, black pepper, cream sauce). You can add protein to it, but it is pretty basic comfort food. Although it looks simple to prepare, I have eaten it in several DFW restaurants where it is atrocious. There is a fine line between delicious and paste with these ingredients, and it needs balance. The service was great. The food came quickly but I was not rushed to eat. The salad was fine - basic, fresh, and the balsamic dressing was not runny. When the cacio e pepe came out, it looked and smelled phenomenal. There was bread included, but I ignored it (which is not the norm for me). After the first bite, I was sold. This dish was freaking fantastic. The chef stopped and brought me fresh herbs from the plants out front (which were delicious). The dish was amazing on its own, and the herbs elevated it to another level of fantastic. It would have been inappropriate to lick the plate, but I did consider it (because the food was perfect). The food was phenomenal, the service was solid, and I will return repeatedly for this one dish. I am sure the other options are great, but this dish was a piece of heaven on a plate.

A thing I knew I had to try as soon as I could find it. I Yelped Italian restaurants in FTW and found two that serve it. Only one of the two at lunch, which is when we eat, Stella in Southlake. So we went today. Stella is a very attractive, very welcoming trattoria. Very cool open kitchen bar along one side. Prompt, attentive service and lovely cloth napkins at lunch. As for the octopus carpaccio? Wowzer! Buonissimo! Stella's rendering of the dish is beautiful and delicious. It is topped with savory, mild pink peppercorns; peppery arugula and EVOO. This super thinly sliced, tender, melt in your mouth polipo is just so good. We followed that with the beet salad. The organic red and gold beets are a feast for the eyes.
