I cannot say enough about this amazing Italian restaurant. My son and I took my 3 year old granddaughter. The food was delicious. First, we got a complimentary large loaf of warm, fresh, and delicious Italian bread. Small salads came with our adult meals. I got angel hair pasta with meatballs and my son got lasagna. We ordered ravioli for the little one--it was nice that you can order half price smaller portions for the kiddos. I can honestly say that this place had some of the best Italian fare I've ever tasted. My son said this was his favorite lasagna ever. (The portion size of his lasagna looked a bit small, but he said it was enough.) My granddaughter seemed to love her ravioli, judging by how much she ate. We ordered water to drink. The amazing reviews do not lie - this place rocks. We were considering ordering the bruschetta and then we found out it was complementary. That was a great start, and an even better start is that it was top notch. I don't think I'd be bored of this even if I ate it every day for the next 5 years. I ordered the lobster ravioli and while it was quite tasty, my wife made the point that you wouldn't even know that it was lobster if you tried it blindly. But it was still great, so I wasn't too mad about it. Where the vodka sauce really shined was through the Rigatoni a la Vodka. My wife and I both agreed that this was our favorite of the meal. The house dressing for the salad was kind of weird: definitely a tomato based dressing, which we weren't expecting, but I didn't hate it. The two red sauce entrees: lasagna and chicken parm were both good, but the vodka sauce was so amazing that they just couldn't compare. The staff was the perfect combination of nice and efficient. What an amazing Italian restaurant. It's not big but has enough tables and seems to turn them around fairly quickly. We stopped in on a weeknight and it was busy but they sat us right down. The service is five star . Friendly waiters and always checking to see if you need anything. I had the fettuccine sauce with tortellini and chicken. It was scrumptious and so huge. We went here for our anniversary. It was a Friday, so they were very busy. First thing I noticed was the dining area was extremely loud. I had the chicken artichoke and she had the marinara pasta with shrimp. Both of us enjoyed our dishes. My wife's only issue with it was that the shrimp still had tails on in a red sauce. She didn't want to risk getting red sauce on her clothes so she had to cut them with a fork. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu. Easily the best meal of our lives -- no exaggeration. I took two friends here and we all agreed. Eat here in person -- you won't regret it. They put our soju on ice and even poured it for us. From the calamari to the tortellini a la pana, rigatoni a la vodka, and seafood combo, everything was perfect. The noodles had that ideal chew, the sauces were so balanced -- not too heavy, not too salty -- just right. There's literally nothing I'd change about any of it. We came about an hour before close and honestly felt bad since it was late -- I figured my friends wouldn't get to see Nick's magic, especially since he wasn't our server. But even after they officially closed, Nick came over and offered to do magic for us. Not just one trick -- a whole show. And OMG. It was UNBELIEVABLE. Everything he did was completely out of left field -- magic doesn't even begin to describe what he's capable of. We were BLOWN AWAY the entire time. I've seen him before and he still leaves me speechless every single time. He even offered us dessert (multiple times!) after closing, which we politely declined so he could go home -- but so, so kind of him. We were literally beaming the entire 35-minute drive back and couldn't stop talking about it. We were already calling it the perfect meal before the magic show... but after that? Just WOW. I've been to Cafe Italia three times, and have had a great experience each time. The Veal Dama Bianca is amazing! The portions are big enough for my husband and me to have it again the next night. We indulged in three appetizers last night. The calamari was great, and not rubber band-ish as it can be at some restaurants. The stuffed mushrooms came nestled in a delicious vodka tomato cream sauce, which I wanted to lap up with a spoon! Then, we had bruschetta, which was probably the best that I've ever had! Excellent flavoring. We finished off with cheesecake that tasted homemade. Everything was excellent! Our waiter, Marco, took great care of us, with impecable service. The prices are reasonable, considering the high quality. We've previously been here twice with groups of about a dozen people, and everything was handled well, with good timing, etc. I'll take photos next time. No I ordered an original meal that's from Italy and that was amazing it was a chicken Jerusalem. And my son ordered the lasagna and that lasagna filled the plate more than once. They do a good little business in a pretty small space. The servers were friendly and they have different people making sure your drinks never go empty and clearing dishes. Very efficient. It's pretty loud in there and there were quite a few large parties doing various celebrations. The food was just alright. The rigatoni a la vodka was fine taste wise. Since it was a BYOB place, the Tuscany wine was excellent. ;-) Decor was well done in the "small Italian taverna" motif. The menu included just about every Italian dish I could think of, but we all went for the specials - a sea-bass entree, and a stuffed chicken filet wrapped around mushrooms, capers, etc. They were both excellent. The service was very attentive without looming. The proprietor gave us complimentary bruschetta to start and sambuca to finish. On the whole, really good food in a warm setting with great service. And I like bring-your-own-wine places. I will go back here, and I suggest that you give it a try. read more

Seafood was super fresh, I loved how snappy the shrimp was, and the tomato sauce was nicely balanced with white wine & butter. The vodka rigatoni & tortellini a la pan were both creamy and delicious. I'm usually reluctant to get these dishes at other restaurants bc they're usually too rich or cheesy, but I thought the ratios from here were perfect. The pasta was al dente in every dish! Service is so so amazing. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. And to end off a delicious dinner, we got a magic show from Nick that blew my mind away. This restaurant looks like old Italian place, full of Italian decorations with dim lights. Service is super fast and friendly. We had 3 kids with us, they were able to serve us bread very fast. All kids menu are half price of the regular menu price, thumb up for that. We had escargot, they are just on the plates not in the shells, I guess it is perfect for American that don't like use hands on seafood, very good flavors. The mozzarella stick with sauce is awesome, my kids love it. They love the bread as well and finished two loaves. My dish is the veal Carciofo, the mushroom tastes so good and the veal tastes so tender. My family love this place, we will definitely come back. The food was still great, but I will say they pack too many people into the main room. The first time I went it was lunch on a Friday and there were two occupied tables when we went in. When it's full, the noise level is insane which made it impossible to have the same personal touches I was expecting. The tables are too close together, which made for an embarrassing moment when we had to ask to move because the seats couldn't pull out far enough to comfortably sit. The staff were still really nice, but I wouldn't go back on a weekend evening. As for the food, we ordered the Tortellini Michael Angelo (unsure why it's not called Michelangelo, maybe it's not named after him) and Chicken Marsala. The Michael Angelo was great, and the sauce on the Marsala was wonderful, but the pasta they served with it was very meh. First, I've never had Marsala served with spaghetti noodles. Super disappointed with that, and the menu doesn't specify. Not only was the shape a strange choice, it wasn't just al dente, it was still a little hard in the middle. I would get the Marsala again but I would substitute angel hair for the spaghetti. I'll still be back, their seasoned garlic oil for bread is great and everything else was good, but the noise, bustle, and pasta in my dish made it a less than stellar experience. A real shame because I'd been talking it up to my boyfriend since my first visit a few months ago. read more

I love the chicken parmesan, chicken balsamic, lobster ravioli, and chicken marsala but I have not have a bad dish here. I placed an order from this restaurant--excited about having some chicken parm--through Uber Eats. I made sure to specify that I needed a knife and fork and napkins, as I'm at a hotel. The food came, but unfortunately, no utensils or napkins. How am I supposed to eat? Fortunately, I was able to scrounge some utensils from the hotel, and the chicken parm is decent enough (chicken was tender but the sauce was a bit overwhelming), but not providing utensils when the customer goes out of his way to tell you he needs them... What happened if I couldn't find any? What would I do? I called the restaurant. The guy apologized and offered me free dessert next time, but one, I live over 1000 miles away, so "next time" isn't going to be anytime soon, and two, that doesn't help much with this time. I'm tempted to give a single star, as the restaurant's carelessness might have wasted the entire order, but I'm giving them two because the food itself was OK. I can only hope the restaurant does better with other customers in the future. read more
