    House salad
    Gina V.

We've driven past Cafe Italia so many times and were always curious about it, so we finally decided to stop in for a late Saturday lunch. If you are looking for a charming, "no-frills" spot for classic Italian-American comfort food, this is a very dependable option. The absolute highlight of our visit was the staff. The people here couldn't have been nicer! They were welcoming and extremely accommodating, especially when it came to customizing my order. Food: * House Salads: We started with the house salads featuring their homemade tomato vinaigrette. It was unique--it tasted like they might incorporate some of their tomato sauce into the dressing base. It was okay, though perhaps an acquired taste if you prefer a sharper vinaigrette. * Eggplant Parm & Custom Pasta: I ordered the Eggplant Parm and asked to swap the side pasta for angel hair with vodka sauce. They were happy to do it for a small upcharge. The eggplant itself was quite good! My only critique is that the sauce was very chunky (I like a smoother sauce) and the portion of it was a bit overwhelming, but that might just be a personal preference. * Fettuccine Alfredo: My husband went with the classic Alfredo. He described it as a "solid 7/10"--nothing was wrong with it at all, just a standard, reliable version of the dish that satisfied the craving. Final Thoughts Cafe Italia is a sweet little place that is a decent option if you're hungry for the classics and want to be treated like family. We're glad we finally checked it off our list!

I had the wonderful opportunity to dine here with Kenny. His service was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment you walk in the door to the time you walk out, you are met with outstanding customer service. The mood of the restaurant sets a soothing tone for a relaxing meal to either eat alone or with a group. The food is made with a passion you can taste, even in the simpler dishes. If you're looking for great Italian food, I couldn't recommend this place enough, 10/10.

Went here upon recommendations from locals. First they have 2 locations so just be forewarned. We had DELICIOUS pasta! I had the tortellini michelangelo and hubby had the lasagna. Both were wonderful and made this Sicilian girl happy. We thought the tortellini was the star. We also had some amazing creme rules and tiramisu. Bread was yummy.

Absolutely delicious. Amazing service. Cannot recommend more!! The chicken piccata is also very very delicious made with a lemon butter sauce!!

Family style restaurant and we're regular here for more than 10 years. Delicious Italian dishes and excellent services. House salad dressing is wonderful. Chicken and Shrimp Sunrise with pink creamy sauce is the best.

This place feels like stepping into nonna's house. The server was really friendly and attentive, and suggested great dishes. The lobster ravioli was outstanding! And don't skip the Tiramisu.

Foccaccia was excellent; the olive oil just tasted fresh and the bread was light and airy! Meatballs were okay, I'm just not a big fan of them and some other people got it so I tasted it. Lobster ravioli was excellent. It was in a green sauce and it was tangy and portion size was decent at 6 large pieces. Some Italian restaurants skimp on the portions but this seemed legitimate. Dessert menu was stacked. The table was debating between the lemoncello cheesecake and lemoncello creme brulee. We went cheesecake route. Felt like the portion was large enough for 4 people to split it. Everyone had 3 or 4 bites. I don't think I'd get it for only 2 people tho, it was quite large. It had a lemony essence to it and some sort of spice that made us keep coming back for more. Get the caramel sauce on the side as the cheesecake doesn't need it. Great ending to the meal. Will be back!

Again, nothing that was bad, but nothing that was wow amazing as well. We ended up getting three dishes: fettuccine Bolognese, chicken marsala & butter penne kid meal. Out of the fettuccine Bolognese, chicken marsala i really enjoyed the fettuccine Bolognese, and i think the ricotta made the dish more rich and gave it extra flavor. Each meal came with bread, which is nice to soak up the sauce. I do wish they had olive oil and balsamic vinegar table side, so that we could use it on the bread. they have a full bar, with a tv right above it.

First off, Grapevines Main st. district is jumping. It is what it wants to be... alive and thriving. So this pizza spot has a ton of good reviews. Yes, well deserved. The place is trendy, but casual. The service - extraordinary. The pizza - stone oven flavor, sauced to the edge, cheesey, also to the edge. Crumbly seasoned Italian sausage, oh so savory. Nothing amiss, each component its own bite. Once again, this was a wonderful Yelp event. Kendall and Postino's, thank you very much…read more We chose to visit around the time of opening. After noon, you can expect the crowd to significantly increase and it will become busy. We ran into that, towards the end of our visit. With the increase in traffic, it was nice to be tended by more than one waiter. I didn't think about it then, but I would have loved to tip the second person, as well. When going to Postino's, I always try to get something new and they never fail to impress. Drink: The Mockingbird (Mocktail) - bright pineapple, a touch of Italian orange, and toasted almond bitters. This was very good and is something I'd get again. The Board: Brie, Apple & Fig Spread - this is a repeat for me, I absolutely love it. The apples are always fresh, crisp, and juicy. This is so perfect! Prosciutto Di Parma, Fig & Mascarpone - another repeat, I can't go to Postino's without having this on my board. Mushroom & Mascarpone - If you're a lover of mushrooms, you'll enjoy these little bites. I did notice, we did not get the green onions this time around and I was okay with that. They were removed, due to the current outbreak. Great thinking, Postino's! Salami & Pesto - This always closes the board for me, I love this combination. Although, I will add, I think a different type of salami would work best with this combination. West Coaster Panini - (Smoked ham, smashed avocado, arugula, roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion, Calabrian chili, feta cheese. For my side, I chose the tomato soup, my goodness, was it good. I must say, it is the best tomato soup, I've ever had. It was creamy, packed with flavor, and complimented my panini so well. Also, they add cheese tortellinis to the soup as well. So, good! This was very delicious, the ham stood out and wasn't muted. However, I think I will get another bread next time. I chose the focaccia, it was a bit too much bread for that particular sandwich. I will admit, it doesn't beat their prosciutto and brie panini; that sandwich is divine. Hot Donut Dots - (House made ricotta donut holes with salted butter chocolate, caramel and vanilla glaze dipping sauces.) These are superb and packs a lot in one bite. The cream in the middle is so smooth and full of flavor, but is very heavy. I'm not a cookies and milk person, but this dessert craves a tall glass of milk. They were hot, fresh, and I appreciate the fact that even when fried, they were not swimming in grease. The vanilla dipping sauce was my go-to, of the three sauces. They did well with this dessert, it hit all of the bases. Postino's is a great place to visit with friends, a date, or even as a solo-day/night out. They are one of my top 5 restaurants and I don't see that changing, ever!

Initially I came to take advantage of a deal, however, do know that the $25 board and wine combo is only available Mondays and Tuesdays after 8 PM, and we were there around 4:30. However, despite that overlook on my part, the food definitely did not disappoint! We had an amazing server. She was easily available , quick, and accommodating. My friend had some dietary restrictions and she was quick to ask about them, and make needed modifications without any issue. Extremely kind, and fun to be around, she had some great suggestions for items on the menu. The environment was definitely more relaxed, however, the pace was definitely picking up when we left. As I mentioned we were there right before people seem to be getting out of work, and it seemed like a lot of people are making their way and to enjoy an evening meal or happy hour. We easily got a spot in front, however, if there happens not to be any available, there's lots of parking behind Lush on the opposite side of the road. I'm hoping to go back and try one of the boards, I've had one prior at different locations, but I'm sure it would be just as great here!
