What a great little Italian restaurant right here in Trophy Club. It's located in the Tom Thumb shopping center on the east side of shops. I have been reading the reviews and thought I would give them a try and started with the Arancini which are Fried Rice Balls filled with Motzarella and Pesto. So good in how it tasted and when you forked into the Arancini you got a nice piece of it all. It tasted fresh and homemade then with the red sauce it was so good. I am not big on huge meals so this was my dinner. Also, you are greeted with friendly faces and great service so you could tell they take great pride in what they do. This place was amazing and tasted very authentic. We got calamari for a starter and it was crispy and delicious and served with a side of sauce. It had the rings and the entire animal -those are my favorite! You order at counter and food is brought out to you when ready. Service was great and quick. It was 3pm. So it wasn't busy at all. The pizzas were fantastic and the crisp was perfect and crispy. They have clean high chairs-that's a plus. It was quiet with us being the only patrons. We started with the Arancini, a deep-fried ball of rice, pesto and mozzarella; rolled in bread crumbs. Never had anything like it before. It's amazing. Their tomato sauce is so fresh and salted perfectly. For your entrees, you "build your own"....choose your pasta, the sauce and the protein.My wife had the penne pasta, tomato sauce and meatballs. Very good. I chose the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce. Excellent. The bread is also terrific. Prices are fair. Service very attentive. It is a very minimalist dining room, boardering on spartan, but who cares, you can't eat ambience. We will definitely be back. Want to try their margherita pizza. I've had pastaza deliver multiple times and pizza was still great. This time, we came back to eat here in person and the service was great again! We were helped by an older gentleman who I assume is the owner. He was very sweet and made sure our food was freshly made. Calamari was crisp and golden. The Alfredo sauce on the pizza was devine and really creamy. The pizza had just enough crisp, but not too hard. The perfect pizza. Look at the cheese pull! The place is still well kept. We love Pastaza. In fact, we probably eat here WAY too much. This is one of the few places that I've actually tried everything on the menu, and I actually mean that. Every single item is truly excellent. Everything is hand made, and you can really tell as the quality of the food is something out of a fine dining restaurant. Our personal favorite item is the Margherita pizza as well as the arancini rice balls. The pizza is delicious, and the arancini are the best in the area. Their pastas are completely customizable and they're all really really good. You really can't go wrong here. I've never actually eaten in the restaurant, we've always done takeout - we live about 25 minutes away and the food is still hot and delicious by the time we get home. Came here for lunch yesterday. Walked in and the place was totally empty. I asked my husband if we should leave as it was right in the middle of lunch and the place being totally empty concerned me. The gentleman at the counter took our order. I don't believe he greeted us when we first walked in. We got a Cesar salad and a margarita pizza. The salad was a bit over dressed but tasty.
