We visited this location last month. We were stayed at a hotel near by and this seemed like a gold cost effective option for our group. It does kinda look like a hole in the wall joint but the food and service did not disappoint. We ordered beers and they were brought out quickly. We ordered the garlic knots and they were incredible. I could eat that butter with a spoon. For our entrees my husband got a pizza but I wanted the cheese ravioli. Our server Konner recommended the Lobster ravioli instead and offered to switch it out if I didn't end up liking it. Yall this was the best pasta I've had in my entire life. Everyone from our group of fun kept taking bites of my pasta and we enjoyed dipping the bread in the sauce. Konner said the bread was life changing with the sauce and brought me a toasted and un toasted loaf. He really wasn't kidding it was incredible. My husband also enjoyed his pizza it was perfectly cooked. Everything we ate was delicious. Truthfully the service we received made the entire experience. Konner was just so happy to be there and enthusiastic about the quality and products yall serve. He truthfully deserves a raise. Haven't been here in two years. Was heading for BBQ but remembered this place. Had the stuffed mushrooms and they were delicious and the sauce was perfect for dipping the bread in! The pizza was good! The crust was very light and perfect thickness. The service, the 3 of us were seated quickly and appetizer ordered but then the lady disappeared and I could see her sitting in the other dining room. The other server sorta took over but we had to ask for refills etc. As an added note, I don't like anyone's beliefs pushed when I'm paying for a service so the hostess should refrain from wearing shirts expressing their views and keep it about business of food. I was at a work conference in Westlake for two weeks earlier in June and I have to say this spot was the trip's saving grace for food. I was limited in my options because I was staying at the Hampton with limited vehicle access aside from Uber/Lyft to get food after work each day. My co-workers suggested I try this place and it did not disappoint. I have to say the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and the stuffed garlic mushrooms were awesome. The meal was cooked perfectly in texture, with the noodles al dente, and the sauce was creamy and savory with subtle hints of garlic and butter. It was rich and definitely filled me up for the night. I have to say I have tried so many different italian spots throughout Vegas where I live and this spot is one I will miss. I ordered the spicy mussels in conjunction with the mushrooms and pasta to try as an appetizer and they were delicious as well! The pomodoro sauce they were cooked in had a nice seafood tang and it was full of flavor. The service was a little slow, but I think there was only one chef in the kitchen. This place is a hidden gem for people from the North East! Located in the shopping center in Westlake..you could amost miss this place (but don't!) Love the pizza here! I am from New Jersey and have been search all over Texas for good pizza. This place is in my top 5 for sure. They are all from NY area, you can tell by the personalities. They have a dinner side and lunch side which looks like a pizza shop in NY. Nothing fancy, but they do serve a full menu and as well during lunch. I'm only giving 4 stars because they are kind of cheap here, for example the charge dor marinara...if you don't ask for it they won't give it. Kind of weird to me... But aside from that, pizza is amazing NY style, crusty , cheesy and more......you may as well get the large because its worth it for the price difference. And trust me you WILL eat it all. There is a secret menu item that a regular hooked us up on during our first visit... get the garlic sauce from the knots on the pizza crust. So tasty!! It's in a weird location as you've read and I kind of felt like I was in a boat house restaurant with the divey feel. My son eats here often with his friends but eats on "the other side" which is like a pizza counter. The full menu can be ordered there, with no table service. So disappointed that we weren't able to try the pizza because many people seem to really love it. While walking towards the restaurant we found there was a point about 6 feet from the door where the air was completely smoke filled. It was horrible! I can't even express how disgusting it was. We have tried La Scala on 3 occasions. Two times dining in and the 3rd was a home delivery. We have lived in Trophy Club since 1998 and we have never been to La Scala's. We saw a few positive posts on one of the Trophy Club Facebook pages about La Scala. We enjoyed the dining in experience. The service was great but the ambiance is dark, cool and smells like cigarettes when you first walk in. Once we sat down I felt comfortable but a little chilled. Bring a sweater. I ordered the Chicken Piccata and it was delicious. Some of the best I have ever eaten. My husband ordered spaghetti with red sauce and he loved it. 4 Stars for the in-dining experience. We dined here twice and both times it was really good. We decided to try a pizza and fried cheese sticks and have them delivered by DoorDash. The ordered arrived within the estimated window time but yuk. The pizza was super soggy and not cooked on the bottom. So bad. The cheese sticks were dipped in a flour egg Mixture and then fried. No flavor and gross with the way they prepared them. Soggy! The only thing that was good was the marinara sauce. I have to wonder why so many people love their New York Style Pizza. We came here as a family of 4 on the recommendation of a friend. We weren't disappointed. The boys had pizza, I had Chicken Marsala and the toddler had spaghetti. Only food we took home was some spaghetti because toddler couldn't finish it all, everything else was eaten. We tried the garlic knots too that every one suggested on Yelp, they were great too! You guy (John) when I asked how the pizza is there answered: "Awsome." He was right. i've had Lombardi's, John's, Grimaldi's in NYC-all good-this is the best I've had outside the city in years.
