I recently dined at Zeppole during a conference trip and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Making dinner reservations ahead of time was easy using OpenTable. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with fantastic seating and ambiance. Every detail contributes to a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel welcome the moment you arrive. The service was outstanding, attentive and focused on messing sure your dining experience is exceptional, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The food is fantastic, they make their own noodles from scratch & highly recommend the spaghetti and meatballs; it was absolutely delicious and a perfect example of their quality. The sea bass branzino was also excellent! Also recommend the Caesar salad, one of the very best I've ever had. Zeppole was absolutely amazing--seriously, one of the best meals we've had in Texas. We decided to keep it light and just go for appetizers, and they did not disappoint. The butternut squash crème soup was incredible: super creamy, perfectly seasoned, and so comforting. Then the nonna's meatballs (or "nanny" as some call them)--tender, flavorful, and packed with that classic Italian taste. Pure perfection. Our waitress was outstanding! She was on top of everything--never let our water glasses (or any cups) get empty, checked in constantly, and service was lightning fast. We showed up without a reservation (had no idea one was needed--oops), but the staff was so kind and accommodating, they made it work right away. Huge thanks for that! The atmosphere is unreal: it's this gorgeous indoor courtyard setup that feels like you're eating outside in the fresh air, but you're warm and cozy while it's actually freezing out. Such a cool, festive vibe--especially at the Gaylord. And I can't forget the bread that comes out first--warm, soft, and filled with that sweet cream cheese. It was the perfect way to start! When we stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort we always eat at Zeppole and actually look forward to it because we know that we will get a great meal. This time in September 2025 was no exception. Our favorite server was assigned a different section from where we were seated, but the server we did have was no less professional, helpful and efficient. Unfortunately I forgot to note his name but he was good. The food remains excellent, although I would note that the menu has changed and several of our favorites have disappeared. Gone is the shrimp cocktail, lasagna, short rib pasta, and branzino. No big deal. The kid had her favorite pasta with red sauce and devoured it all as usual. I had the bolognese it was excellent. The pasta was freshly made and I love the wide noodles. The portion is large for $26 and I could only eat half of it. The wife had the chicken picata and loved it. The chicken was tender and juicy. She loved the sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not dry or dense. She usually is not a chicken fan but she loved this dish. She hopes it does not disappear from the menu. For dessert we split the Budino. By "split" I mean I had two bites and the wife ate the rest. She loved it. If you like chocolate, you will love this dessert. It is pure decadence. This restaurant remains one of our favorites. The ambience is casual but upscale. You feel like you are eating outdoors but you are actually in the atrium. We will return for sure. read more

Great service! Delicious bread and balsamic vinegar. Good selection of wine and cocktails as well. I love places that offer you the option of still or sparkling water. My favorite here is their frito Misto. It's served freshly cooked so just be mindful that it can be hot to the bite. Squeeze the grilled lemon for the perfect subtle tangy flavor. I like the "outdoor" area. It has an outdoor feel while still being inside the Gaylord Texan hotel. The only reason I am not giving this place a 5-star is because their entrees tend to be too salty. The Vongole pasta was salty. I came back the next night and ordered the rib eye steak and asked for less salt and it still came out pretty salty. read more

I am surprised by the rating for Zeppole, I thought this place was excellent! We were staying at Gaylord Texan for my sons birthday and he wanted Italian for his birthday dinner. We were greeted as elite members and also got a bday card for the birthday boy! The host and our server were awesome. Very friendly, polite, and helpful. We started with their rolls which are super buttery and garlicky, filled with cream cheese. Seriousy addicting. My husband and I shared the caesar salad and vodka parm. The salad was perfectly dressed and had ginormous, fluffy yet crunchy croutons. The vodka parm was perfect, too - the chicken was thin and crispy despite the mound of sauce and cheese on top. It was accompanied by a bucatini pasta with some of the vodka sauce. We will definitely be back when we stay here! read more

The dinning room gave al fresco dinning without the bugs and heat that's typical of Texas. The dinner rolls were amazing, stuffed with warm cream cheese and topped with tomatoes, garlic and oil. The rigatoni was great but even better with a side of meat sauce on top. The fettuccine was perfectly done, not over sauced and tasty topped with chicken. Zeppole is one of those places where you sit down, try the bread, and immediately know you're in trouble. Truly next-level. I had the lobster pasta and it was delicious: rich without being heavy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. We also ordered the pepperoni pizza, and the crust was that perfect mix of fluffy and crisp that you wish every pizza had. Even the glass of wine was exactly what I wanted. The ambiance is warm and lively in the best way busy but comfortable, upscale without being pretentious. Service was friendly, attentive, and everything came out hot and fresh. Zeppole's is inside of the Gaylord hotel. It's absolutely stunning. It has the appearance of being outdoors when it's not. Very romantic and quaint. Great location for a special occasion. When I tell you they made us feel special, I mean it! Our waitress, Savanah, was so kind and funny. The waiters replaced our water constantly and checked in on us. Definitely made us feel cared for. Loved our meal at Zeppo's over the 4th of July weekend stay we had! We snagged reservations for dinner as it's always smart to ensure swift table service and seating guaranteed. Our waitress was amazing and on top of her game, we loved our pasta dishes and everything was heavily flavored and packed with huge portions. We ordered quite a bit and then had leftovers in tow to bring back to the room which we realized had a tiny fridge so watch out. Kiddo got the kids menu cheese pizza which was a solid choice for picky bland eaters and husband I loved both of our entrees, his pasta and mine were phenomenal. I will say the brussel sprouts side that we ordered was pretty heavy on the oil and salt, so I wouldn't order this again. While recently staying at The Gaylord Texan, we elected to have dinner here. This restaurant is evidently only open for dinner. They evidently only take patrons with a reservation, which we had made. Thankfully the concierge had made us aware of it in advance. The restaurant is really lovely, because of the atrium and the time we arrived the sun was shining in my husband's eyes which was a little annoying, but eventually it started to set and it got better. Luckily this can be done online. But be prepared to wait either way. As there are many large groups. That being said, the food is average, but not great for the prices. The soup I had was excellent, but the pasta wasn't good nor very flavorful. The service was good. The wait staff was attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice, although very loud. Most of the patrons here are staying for conferences and are very loud and heavy drinkers. So not a place for a quiet dinner. read more

I was able to take it from her because she didn't like her food and couldn't finish it. I found that most of the food options at the resort aren't good. I always prefer when I can leave very positive reviews but alas.... This wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't something I would go back for if I wasn't sequestered at a resort. The service was S-l-o-w and I am not sure we even really had a dedicated server as our drinks were only refilled when we asked and no one ever came to check if we needed anything. The food was decent but not good enough to take leftovers back to the room. The best thing we had was the palm salad and the worst was a toss up between the tomato bisque and the gnocchi. The pizza was adequate and large enough to share. If you are traveling with kids and just need to feed a hungry bunch this works. I have been coming to Gaylord Texan for 6 years on an annual family trip. The experience is always tainted by this restaurant. The staff is rude, the food is okay, and the behavior they consistently have is embarrassing. The hostesses always have an arrogance and attitude that is unacceptable. Great food! The caesar salad was good along with the steak I had but the customer service could've been a lot better. What I mean by that is a manager wearing a pinkish red shirt sat my table near a bar top and there were children there and I asked politely to be moved to a regular table of seven but the manager tried to seat us at a six seat table. When I reminded the manager that there were seven of us she took a chair from another table and moved it to my six seat table which was clearly too little room for everybody sitting at the table and then when we told her this the manager rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Highly recommend getting reservations to save on wait time! The ambience is elevated dining, but you can dress casually. My friend said her caesar salad was the best she's ever had!
