When we stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort we always eat at Zeppole and actually look forward to it because we know that we will get a great meal. This time in September 2025 was no exception. Our favorite server was assigned a different section from where we were seated, but the server we did have was no less professional, helpful and efficient. Unfortunately I forgot to note his name but he was good. The food remains excellent, although I would note that the menu has changed and several of our favorites have disappeared. Gone is the shrimp cocktail, lasagna, short rib pasta, and branzino. No big deal. The kid had her favorite pasta with red sauce and devoured it all as usual. I had the bolognese it was excellent. The pasta was freshly made and I love the wide noodles. The portion is large for $26 and I could only eat half of it. The wife had the chicken picata and loved it. The chicken was tender and juicy. She loved the sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not dry or dense. She usually is not a chicken fan but she loved this dish. She hopes it does not disappear from the menu. For dessert we split the Budino. By "split" I mean I had two bites and the wife ate the rest. She loved it. If you like chocolate, you will love this dessert. It is pure decadence. This restaurant remains one of our favorites. The ambience is casual but upscale. You feel like you are eating outdoors but you are actually in the atrium. We will return for sure.

Appetizers. Pasta. Meatballs, squash soup, Cesar salad. Hanger steak. Highly recommend all the above except the soup. Nice ambiance, great seating. Highly recommend making recommendations early.

Great service! Delicious bread and balsamic vinegar. Good selection of wine and cocktails as well. I love places that offer you the option of still or sparkling water. My favorite here is their frito Misto. It's served freshly cooked so just be mindful that it can be hot to the bite. Squeeze the grilled lemon for the perfect subtle tangy flavor. I like the "outdoor" area. It has an outdoor feel while still being inside the Gaylord Texan hotel. The only reason I am not giving this place a 5-star is because their entrees tend to be too salty. The Vongole pasta was salty. I came back the next night and ordered the rib eye steak and asked for less salt and it still came out pretty salty.

Fully enjoyed our dinner experience at Zeppole during our stay at the Gaylord. Service and food were fabulous! The dinning room gave al fresco dinning without the bugs and heat that's typical of Texas. The dinner rolls were amazing, stuffed with warm cream cheese and topped with tomatoes, garlic and oil. The rigatoni was great but even better with a side of meat sauce on top. The fettuccine was perfectly done, not over sauced and tasty topped with chicken. The pizza was delicious with cupped pepperoni. After the 4 hour drive, it was nice to settle in and enjoy a nice meal in an inviting atmosphere.

Zeppole is one of those places where you sit down, try the bread, and immediately know you're in trouble. Truly next-level. I had the lobster pasta and it was delicious: rich without being heavy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. We also ordered the pepperoni pizza, and the crust was that perfect mix of fluffy and crisp that you wish every pizza had. Even the glass of wine was exactly what I wanted. The ambiance is warm and lively in the best way busy but comfortable, upscale without being pretentious. Service was friendly, attentive, and everything came out hot and fresh. Zeppole is an easy yes. I'd come back just for the bread... but thankfully everything else is just as good.

Zeppole's is inside of the Gaylord hotel. It's absolutely stunning. It has the appearance of being outdoors when it's not. Very romantic and quaint. Great location for a special occasion. When I tell you they made us feel special, I mean it! Our waitress, Savanah, was so kind and funny. The waiters replaced our water constantly and checked in on us. Definitely made us feel cared for. Now, getting to the most important part- the food was phenomenal!!! Everything was SO good!!! From the salmon to the vodka pasta. The asparagus, Brussel sprouts, corn risotto, and chocolate dessert. Everything was delicious. Even their free bread rolls were to die for! I don't remember the last meal I had where I was so satisfied with the food! If you like good quality food then this is the place for you!

We went here for our anniversary dinner! We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. We ordered the burrata as an appetizer and then ordered the ravioli a la vodka and the chicken fettuccini Alfredo. Both were really good! The ambiance was very fun and romantic being inside of grapevine. It felt like we were outside but really you're not. We would come back but would likely try other places before w

While recently staying at The Gaylord Texan, we elected to have dinner here. This restaurant is evidently only open for dinner. They evidently only take patrons with a reservation, which we had made. Thankfully the concierge had made us aware of it in advance. The restaurant is really lovely, because of the atrium and the time we arrived the sun was shining in my husband's eyes which was a little annoying, but eventually it started to set and it got better. Service was friendly and efficient. We started with some meatballs as an appetizer. They were very good. The bread was excellent. I ordered the Short Rib Sugo with pasta. My husband had a Cesar Salad. Food was good, but not great. But the service and ambience made up for it.

I had the chance to visit Zeppole while at a conference. The lobster pasta was a highlight and their garlic bread is amazing! Worth stopping by if you're in Grapevine.

Came here for dinner without reservations around 5:30 PM and I was able to snag a table at the bar area. Complimentary bread was delish! Soft, pillowy, cheese yumminess that I kind of wanted another. Ordered the Frutti Di Mare for my entree and it was so good. Plump shrimp, mussels, and fresh pasta in slightly spicy sauce. Service was great. Water was constantly refilled and very attentive.

While visiting the Gaylord Texan there are very few options food wise without leaving the resort. Only open for dinner for a few hours, you need to make sure that you make a reservation. Luckily this can be done online. But be prepared to wait either way. As there are many large groups. That being said, the food is average, but not great for the prices. The soup I had was excellent, but the pasta wasn't good nor very flavorful. The service was good. The wait staff was attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice, although very loud. Most of the patrons here are staying for conferences and are very loud and heavy drinkers. So not a place for a quiet dinner.

Kevin was server Caesar with anchovies Cozze in Salsa- mussels, Pomodoro sauce infused with White Wine, very nice kick of spice that is just enough to coat the tongue without blowing out your taste buds, the mussels served in the shell with nice crostini bread. Frutti Di Mare - shrimp, bay scallops, mussels with n Arabiatta sauce - this is a must if your any kind of fan of a good spice or n your meal with some seafood in your pasta. The pasta was pleasantly not over cooked and a true al dente, and the Arabiatta sauce makes this all work. The service at the bar was attentive yet allowed to eat and drink in peace, great food and great libations helps take the edge off of eating a steak each and every night. Great atmosphere, good on noise, delightful experience.

If you are looking for a charming, "no-frills" spot for classic Italian-American comfort food, this is a very dependable option. The absolute highlight of our visit was the staff. The people here couldn't have been nicer! They were welcoming and extremely accommodating, especially when it came to customizing my order. Food: * House Salads: We started with the house salads featuring their homemade tomato vinaigrette. It was unique--it tasted like they might incorporate some of their tomato sauce into the dressing base. It was okay, though perhaps an acquired taste if you prefer a sharper vinaigrette. * Eggplant Parm & Custom Pasta: I ordered the Eggplant Parm and asked to swap the side pasta for angel hair with vodka sauce. They were happy to do it for a small upcharge. The eggplant itself was quite good! My only critique is that the sauce was very chunky (I like a smoother sauce) and the portion of it was a bit overwhelming, but that might just be a personal preference. * Fettuccine Alfredo: My husband went with the classic Alfredo. He described it as a "solid 7/10"--nothing was wrong with it at all, just a standard, reliable version of the dish that satisfied the craving. Final Thoughts Cafe Italia is a sweet little place that is a decent option if you're hungry for the classics and want to be treated like family. We're glad we finally checked it off our list!
