I was just thinking about Sal and how he made a great pizza back when Euless had pizza hand crafted by Sal and his son. Food has a nostalgic memory and it felt like coming to a full circle. When I heard this was actually Sals, I had to visit. He was still the same with his white t shirt and welcoming smile! Now the food is pizza with fresh toppings. The menu is just enough that it's not overwhelming. It's in a nicer location so it's understandably will be more than their previous pizza joint. This is a nice addition to the Glade Parks area. A little dark inside, but each table has a little lamp. Knocked down from 5 stars because the "focaccia bread" was not bread at all but just pizza crust with some oil and herbs, and also because the place smells so strongly of the smoke from the wood fired pizza (it's not offensively strong, but be prepared to leave with your clothes, hair, whatever lingering with the smell). The pizza was very very good - their red sauce is GREAT. The truffle pizza lacked a little flavor. I have been seeing signs about this place and I thought it had just opened.But apparently they have been open for about a year now.So I decided to give it a try.Whats funny is this used to be another pizza place but i guess they didn't make it.Anyway I walked into the place and it has a nice little setting inside.The kind of place you would take a date and have some wine.But i was there for the pizza.So i sat down and looked at the menu and its pretty limited.A few appetizers and a handful of pizzas to choose from.I was wanting a supreme but they didn't have it.She said I could put one together but i decided to just go with the pepperoni.The pizza is wood fired so I had high hopes with this pizza.So not even 10 minutes later my pizza came out.The pizza looked pretty good and it was nice and crispy.So as I took my first bite like I said it was crispy nice and airy and had a good taste to it.One thing I noticed they were a little skimpy on the pepperoni.And they put the sauce on top of the cheese which I'm not a huge fan of that but it worked.Overall it was pretty solid but definitely not my favorite.There's a place around the corner I definitely like better.But hey if you're hanging around glad parks this is where this place is and give it a shot and see what you think? read more

As longtime Saviano's fans, we were counting the days until Sprezza opened in Glade Parks -- and it was absolutely worth the wait! We started with the Caesar salad, which was outstanding. We're pretty picky about Caesars, but this one nailed it -- crisp, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The pizzas are authentically New York-style, packed with flavor, and seasoned just right. To those leaving less-than-stellar early reviews, I'd encourage giving any new restaurant a little grace as they find their rhythm. That said, Sprezza has already earned high marks from us with friendly service and delicious food. Sprezza is in a little strip mall with a lot of restaurants and shops around it. It has a play area outside for your kids. We got the pepperoni pizza and a plain ol cheese pizza. Also got the spicy bolognese. Thin pizza, the kind you eat with a fork, and fold in half. Decent. I liked it. Also, the bolognese came with angel hair. Also, not bad. It had a different taste that I could not figure out what the taste was that I didn't like, but I did like.. Not a bad place. The wines were stored in a fairly warm part of the restaurant, an error that shows a lack of understanding about how temperatures--especially warm ones--can affect wines and olive oil. We were hoping to eat at Salvianos but it was packed and we didn't make a reservation. So we were still looking for pizza and stumbled upon Speezzas. One of the best pizza restaurants we've been. The kids raved about the Queso Italiano and the meatballs which was super moist. The star of the meal was the pizzas. The crust was super puffy, crunchy and chewy loaded with tons of flavors from the pizza sauce and toppings. The oven roasted veggies and arugula with prosciutto was a hit with the adults and the kids loved the pepperoni and meat lovers pizza. We walked in at 7:45pm on Saturday night. People there but not overwhelmingly busy. Several spaces open at the bar and a few tables inside and out available. Took at least 5 minutes to even be recognized. Hostess told us 20-30 min wait. We asked about the open places at the bar and were told that bar is also on a wait. After waiting 10 min, and watching additional spaces open up, we asked again about the bar and hostess again, unhelpfully, said we were welcome to sit at the bar but all of the tables would be ahead of us so it might be a bit. We left. Disappointed to say the least. Service like this will not make it here in Glade Parks and the reception area didn't create a welcoming response for a new business. This will need to be corrected quickly or it will not get off the ground, which will be sad for our area! read more

My wife and I went here for an early dinner earlier today. I had the Margherita Pizza and she had the Vesuvio Pizza. Both of them were magnificent. As I am originally from the NYC area of NJ and of Neopolitan Italian Heritage, I know what this style of pizza is supposed to taste like and this was great. The ambiance was very good. Sprezza is an undiscovered gem in Dallas. Their pizza crust is incredible, and they bake the pizzas in a traditional wood fire oven.
