I have tried to visit this establishment a few time but it has been closed each time, despite the website and Yelp saying it is open.

2019 Yelp 120 Challenge - #68 Delaney Vineyards is the only stand alone winery in the Grapevine area. They grow their own delicious grapes right outside of the winery which makes for a nice photo opt. We walked in with no expectation other than to drink wine and we ending up find a great deal of valuable information about the founder and their wine. My husband and I were greeted at the door by host who escorted us a short distance to the gift shop where you check in for a $10 tasting and tour. You are provided with a menu with pre selected wine for the evening an our favorite was their very own Cynitanan wine that is made from the grapes outside the vineyard. The founder of Delaney Vineyards is a 3rd generation cotton farmer who followed his love and passion for wine. On the tour we were able to see fermentation tanks as well as their small bottling room where all the magic happens. read more

First of all, the Wine Tasting bar service was fabulous. Mary was full of knowledge and made it such a fun experience! Mary gets 5 stars for the Wine Tasting. Bridal Shower experience was a disappointment. I booked this through the Event Planner, Pamela. I've had ladies gathering like this in past years so assumed it would be the perfect place once again for a shower. The new event planner explained the rates. For a group of 20 guests, the fee is $500 for a 3 hour party. That's for a two hour party with 30 minutes on each end for set up and clean up . On top of that rate, a minimum of 5 bottles of wine is required. There is also a $75 dollar fee to have the linens cleaned that they will provide. I sent Pamela a message asking if they would provide ice and water for my party. She said no, they would only provide ann ice bucket for their wine, I'd have to bring my own ice and bucket for my water and champagne . I showed up with family to carry in all of our food, cake, decorations , ice bucket etc. 15 minutes early knowing it's goIng to take that time to carry in from the car. Pamela shouted at me from across the room and said, ""hey, what time does your party start?" I explained, guests would not show up until 2:00. She was extremely RUDE and unprofessional! She never once cane over to ask hoo w our party was going (she did bring the bill over for me to sign in the middle of our party with guests around) She left home before my party was over but called up to have the receptionist come tell me at 4:00 that my guests need to leave, party is over. We were cleaning up and we finished cleaning up early. We will never have an event there again. The vineyard is beautiful, however. It was the lack of hospitality , help and kindness from the Event planner that was the unfortunate disappointment. I should have just brought my group in for the Wine Tasting only with Mary, then went somewhere else for lunch or dinner! That would have also saved me lots of money. If you're looking for a quick, affordable tour of a winery, this is it! They told us the tour would be about an hour long, but half of it is just wine tasting. For just $10 for the tour AND the wine tasting (5 1-oz glasses of different types of wine), it was a great deal. The tour was nice because it was kept quick and concise. It wasn't anything extraordinary, but the best you can get for somewhere near Dallas. This winery is also a wedding venue so the inside is gorgeous. They set up round tables for the wine tasting at the end. Each table seats up to 10 people. The woman who was passing out the wine to each of us gave us a quick description of which wine we were about to taste which was nice. She also gave my friend a double portion of each wine because it was her bachelorette! So nice of her! Overall, I would recommend everyone to come here at least once if you like wine! read more

I came on a Saturday night to this beautiful replica French Chateau for a wedding! When we first entered there were not enough seats for the wedding guests. The staff ran into action and appeared with more seats to make everyone comfortable. The Pastor, bride and groom had a microphone so we were able to hear every word. After the ceremony we went out onto the veranda for cocktails and hors-d'oeuvre. There was also a band playing. The vineyard was lovely at sunset and made for some great photo opps! The staff was inside transforming the main room into the wedding reception. The reception was filled with very kind wait staff and the food was very yummy. My favorite was the pork sliders. It was a beautiful wedding and this place made it go off without a hitch! read more

We bought the oh so affordable Groupon for this vineyard & that was a lot of bang for our buck! The vineyard is located right off of the highway, sort of outside Euless/Bedford. There's plenty of parking and it's easily accessible. There is a banquet hall that you can lease and a gift shop for purchases. Mary was our guide and she was very knowledgeable of the winery and vineyard! She shared a bunch of stories with us and was honest in answering our many questions. The wines were rich with flavor and dense with alcohol. She made sure we tasted every wine and described in detail the make of each. This was a perfect Valentine's Day excursion! We purchased the Muscat to take home which was the sweetest and tastiest to us! Not bad for $20 and made there on site. Very neat place! read more

Went to Delaney Vineyards on a Groupon. The Groupon is only good on weekdays. I have seen the place for a long time and wanted to go inside. We went on a weekday around 1pm. No one else was there just me and my husband. The lady at the front was nice. The tour guide came out and walked us around the place. Then we sat at a bar in a big room and had 3 or 4 little sips of wine. The tour was not that good maybe because no one else was there. And we have been to a lot of wine tastings. The tour guide did a good job but it seemed like 10 minutes and we were done. I see the place really just to rent for weddings and parties. The wine tasting was okay but you get such small sips you really do not taste much. Over all if you want to go here for wedding or party information I would go. I've been wanting to stop here for years but I live Allen making it inconvenient. I finally stopped by on a Saturday after checking the hours of operation. Turns out they decided not to open for the day. Not sure what that means but the vineyard was overgrown and the place had a look of needing some work as well. I would call prior to going to ensure they're open. I have a feeling they won't be in operation much longer. read more

This place was fun We went in the off season when the vines were not producing grapes but the very small vineyard was lovely none the less. They do weddings and events here and the area is really nice. If I had known about this Vineyard when I wedding it would have been here. The tour was nice but like I said it's a small vineyard. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The wine tasting was great and informative and they give you a full amount of each glass of wine to sample, not just a little drop like some places do There wines are delicious and the atmosphere is great. They have a store where you can buy there wine and candles and other cute items. I purchased a couple of bottles of wine and a candle and the prices were very reasonable. On a trip to Napa earlier this year, I was bitten by the wine bug. I can't stop thinking about it! When I heard that Texas is the fifth largest wine producer in the country, even higher than Virginia, I was eager to go wine tasting while home for the summer. After doing some research online, I was pleased and shocked to find out that there are wineries right within the convenience of the metroplex! I'm almost at a loss for words in describing Delaney Vineyards. I never expected to find a place like this so close to my hometown. Our plan was to do half a day of wine tasting. Our first stop was La Buena Vida, and we asked the lady there about other wineries in the area. She listed them all, but we picked Delaney, because she said it's the only one that has its own vineyard on-site. Just driving up was wonderful. The building is beautiful, and the vineyard seems to go on forever. We walked in just in time for a free tour, which was enjoyable for everyone. Even the wineries I visited in Napa didn't do this. The tour guide was also the guy who poured the wine, and he was great. The tour was really informative and interesting, and I'm really glad I went. After the tour, we did our wine tastings. It's ten dollars per person, and you try seven different wines. I really enjoyed all but two, so it was definitely worth it. The wine tasting was also a mini wine class, which was great for us amateurs. Everyone seemed to enjoy the Sweet Texas Rose, and we bought a couple of bottles to take home, so if you're just stopping in to buy a bottle, I would definitely recommend that one. read more

I grew up in Grapevine and my parents still live in Colleyville so I still visit often and always find an ecxuse to visit Delaney Vineyards when I go home. This is one of the most beautiful vineyards I have ever visited and I have done many tours of vineyards in Sonoma and Nappa. The French Chateau style building on 10 acres of vines is just breathtakingly beautiful and the crush pad offers amazing views of the vineyard. Tours are on the hour and last about 1/2 hour with tastings afterwards for 10.83 you get to sample 6 different wines. All the grapes are grown either here or at their other larger vineyard in Lanesa. I highly recommend the Three Daughters (named after his 3 daughters) a bold Cab blend that has won many awards. They also rent out the venue for corporate events and weddings. My High School sweetheart got married here this past June that I was unable to attend but she sent me some amazing photos and said everything was perfect. good times! read more

I came here for a tour and tasting with my mom. It was excellent! For a Texas wine, it was not too bad. Although the Texas soil is not equipped for growing grapes, it was no Napa valley wine but it was definitely not too bad either. The vineyards are beautiful and the tour was very simple and educational with a small sampling at the end. The Chardonnay was my favorite wine, not too sweet or dry. I would go back again! The atmosphere was very nicely decorated. It seems like a very nice venue to have a wedding at appearance-wise, but I wouldn't actually know since i haven't been to a wedding there. Nope, not today, not ever. Was hoping to host a rehearsal dinner for 65 here. First, I want to say Bianca is very nice to talk to and her husband who we met on the tour was nice also. That's all I can say positive. The place is in complete disrepair and does not show well. Suppose to be under renovations. Bianca is very scattered and sent me info for weddings although I specified rehearsal Dinner. That's ok, she got me the correct quote after I followed up. They only allow you to use 3 caterers or pay an additional $1200 fee. One caterer was very responsive but has a 75 person minimum, one caterer took over a week to respond after I called them 2 times and filled their form out online. The other caterer, the one they want you to use, City Kitchen is a true &@!" Show. I had to call and call and ask Bianca to call just to get a response. Lisa, finally called me back after a week, was suppose to get me a quote within a couple of days and 1 week later, nothing. I called again and left a detailed voicemail and she called me back without listening to the voicemail. Lots more details, but I won't bore you. I emailed Bianca again to ask if she had other vendors I could reach out to because I can't chase people down give them business, and I couldn't book with Delaneys if we didn't have a caterer. Her response was, sorry it didn't work out, best of luck with your next venue. RUN, DON'T WALK. I am thankful it didn't work out because I think it would have been a very bad experience once we put money down. read more

MAKE A RESERVATION for a wine tasting. They purportedly are open until 5:00, but when we got there at 4:00, they turned us away because they had an event that night and only took patrons that day until 3:00. It's very frustrating to see a "closing time" and to rely on that by driving a long distance to patronize a place. If your place has an evening event, by all means have your event, but at least stay open until your posted closing time. Especially if your sign on your front door still says "open." read more

I lived in northern CA for 4 years and became very acquainted with some of the very best vineyards in the world. I must say this Texas vineyard did hold it's own against them. I learned more on the vineyard tour than I did on the Robert Mondovi tour. First of all, nice location in northern Dallas area with 10 acres of beautiful, healthy vines on site. The tour included great information like there is a plant on the end of each grapevine row and we were advised that if they are going to be attacked by bugs, they would show up on these plants first so they could prepare for the worst. I thought that was very interesting. Another bit of advise which is pretty unimaginable, is the wooden wine barrels are $10k each and are only reusable a few times if I remember correctly. Wow! That makes me appreciate the cost a little more. We did a taste testing and I was very impressed with all they offer. I brought home a bottle of their Sauvignon blanc and served it to some recent guests to my home from CA and they liked it very much. Very small gift shop but they had a few cute things. All around really nice vineyard and who knows, maybe I will take some CA friends along with me for a tour next time they visit. read more

Our first visit here on Saturday. First impression....AWESOME!. A lovely replica of a French chateau commissioned by owner Jerry Delaney, who greeted us upon arrival. The building is just beautiful with vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. There is a very nice gift shop just off the entrance. In addition to daily tours, wine tasting and vineyard tours (Mon-Sat 10a-5p) the winery hosts a range of events, including bridal showers, weddings, corporate events, private tours and tastings, etc. We unfortunately did not take the tour or join the wine tasting going on in the back; however, upon posing several questions about their wines, Jerry gave us a quick private tasting of the two he thought might please my palate based on what I had told him. I went for the Texas Claret after a small sampling, and left with a bottle to enjoy the next time I open my kitchen and actually prepare a special meal! Also, couldn't resist this cute little magnet with words that properly describe my love of wine..."I enjoy cooking with wine; sometimes I even put it in the food!" That tells it all. read more

I wouldn't recommend coming here. The building itself is beautiful, so maybe if you wanted a wedding or something, it would be fun. We arrived and the lady was on the phone and had us just wait in the lobby for awhile, which is odd, you normally just go in a tasting room. Then we found someone else, I tried to give her my businness card from another winery, but they don't honor other wineries there. It is $10 for a tastiing of 6, which is steep, coming from wine countries in CA. The tasting went so fast, and there was not a lot of exchange on facts, how they were made, what was grown where. I had never had a tasting experience go so fast, and so little talk. We eventually got her to talk about her own life and why she was here, but that was it. They seem to rush people in and rush people out, and then there is no one there. I worked at one of the busiest wineries in the country, and you always talk to everyone for awhile and most people are there about an hr. We were done in 10-15 minutes. NONE of the wines were good. I dumped every single one. Now the lady who helped us, is from Napa and is helping with the 2011 wines, so there could be hope for next seasons wine. Who knows? read more

My family and I enjoyed the wine tasting but we were greeted with a complete lack of customer service by Laura. We came in as a group of people were about to start a wine tasting. Laura rudely hurried us in, making multiple unprofessional comments, even though we were waiting on the cashier to take our money (the cashier was pleasant and was working as quickly as possible). It would have been better if Laura had asked us to wait to begin the next tour and tasting. My road trips usually involve a winery or two and this was my first bad experience in all of the wineries I have visited in Texas or elsewhere. I was so annoyed that I didn't even bother taking a bottle home with me as I routinely do. There is too much wine in Texas to settle for bad customer service. I hope the rest of the wineries in Grapevine are more hospitable. :-( The facilities are attractive and other staff members were pleasant and professional. Vino is decent (love the sweeter, lighter wines here) and it's just a beautiful vineyard and atmosphere to come and visit. Live music Thursday evening is always a perfect date night choice. They also have races out here! I did a 5K right on the vineyard and there was a wine tasting afterwards. Lots of fun! Awesome place you got here Mr. Delaney! Our smoking hot bachelorette party arrived just after 4pm, in time to join the tour in progress. It was 95 degrees out and the group decision was to check out the gift shop instead of going outside and then "just booze". In wandering through the gift shop and to the hall we happened to run into Mr. Delaney. He had a few bottles of wine opened for us in advance of the tasting and we had an awesome time with generous pours and a personal staff taking us through our grapey journey. Like the other reviewers we were a little rushed as well, but we did come in late and they looked to be setting up for a wedding. Not a totally big deal, but not great either. The wine tasting started, and the lady came by poured us wine said 2 words about each wine and walked away. None of the wines were anything to write home for. Maybe it was the time we arrived but the whole experience was a little rushed but again it was $10. Still worth the money. We had our daughter's wedding here and during the rehearsal we were treated very rudely by Paula and then I took a terrible slip/fall on some goo leaking from one of the wine barrels. My lawyer is looking into the latter. The next day at the wedding, Paula was continuing to be rude towards our wedding day planner as well as to my wife. We were supposed to have a reception on the courtyard while they set up the hall for the dinner and they refused to light the other two heaters even though in was in the 40's at the time. All our guests were huddled in front of the only working heater and all we could get from Paula was that she refused to light the other two heaters. The wine was lousy at best but I gladly spent another $650 dollars when we were starting to run out of what we had originally purchased. Decided to let it lay that night to not upset my daughter and her special night. Well then three days later they charged our credit card an additional $613 dollars on some bogus made up claim that they had to stay late to stack chairs. They never contacted us about the charge and my wife only saw it on the account when she went to look at something else. She called and was treated like a second rate citizen by the lady she was talking to so she asked for the owner to give her a call back. It's been 12 days and no return call yet. There are a lot nicer places for the money without having to put up with that kind of treatment so please book anywhere else for that special day so that it stays special for you. read more

Neat place to visit. I feel a little cheated on the day we went though. First off, the tour was given by a new girl who was being trained. Not a big deal, but she didn't know the ropes and was a little awkward at times. Then, when we got inside, they had the entire place set up for a wedding. It was spectacular for whoever was getting married, but we felt like they were rushing us to get ready for the event. There was nowhere to sit and we all had to huddle around the little bar and drink up fast. The inside is very nice and wished we could have seen how it was normally setup. As for the wine... Well, not so good. - Our tasting had 5 wines, all in small glasses that the new girl was very skimpy with the pours. I didn't enjoy any of them. I'm by no means a wine expert, but these just didn't taste good. This is a very charming place, and I do recommend going there if you're doing the Grapevine wine tasting thing. Just don't make it your only winery. I'm glad we went and experienced it, but I doubt we'll be back. We had much better wine in downtown Grapevine. read more

Love the wine tours here. We got a huge education on wines, and saw the wineries, and the grapes on the wines- that is so cool! Then we got to enjoy some wine inside after the beautiful tour. Of course, tasting the wine was the best part! In my opinion compared to other wineries in this area, this place gives less wine in the tasting for the price. However, this is the only one that I have seen that has the tours during your tastings. One star was dropped though because I did make an appointment but we had to wait a while because either they had walk ins and didn't manage the appointments properly or they overbooked... no point of making an appt if you still have to wait! read more
