My bf and I love love love tours. So we went here for it and not realizing that the tour actually offer a complimentary glass of wine. We had Ambush(sweet white) and Twilight(sweet red). My bf had bad experience with wine so from there on he would drink it like a shot lol but this time he sat down and sip and savour his wine of choice. We even decided to try their wine tasting for $5.54. We both picked 6 different kinds of wine (3 for each) and for that price it was all worth it. D'Vine was our favorite winery in Grapevine. The selection of wine was diverse and refreshing. We stopped here three times during our weekend and each time we were warmly greeted and experienced excellent service. The interior is classy and has a variety of wine related decor. It added to the overall ambiance and allowed us to really enjoy the wine. We did the wine tasting for $6 and had three 2 ounce wine pours. The selection of the tastings was well rounded. While we were tasting, we saw an employee packaging wine and also putting on labels. To know that they personally make the wine in house made it an even better experience. We purchased two bottles of wine: Uva Rossa and Chardonnay. This is definitely a gem! read more

I was introduced to this place via ghost tour offered by Groupon. I got a pretty sick deal and I thought it would be a pretty good date night idea. The Groupon included a free wine after the tour for each of us so why not? I love the paranormal. My hubs and I arrived about 10 minutes before the tour. The tour started about 15 minutes after the scheduled time which was okay. We just wandered the winery a bit. A lot of the group was running late. The tour was just okay. Not very ghost-y. It was more of a history of the city of Grapevine. The tour guide's stories were all over the place and a lot of the members of the tour kept making jokes and kept saying how they'd rather be anywhere else so it was difficult to enjoy the experience. After the tour, when we got back to the winery we turned in our tickets for our free drink. Once we ordered, we were completely ignored. Most likely because they had paying customers, which I guess I understood. I ordered a margarita made with wine. It was awful. It tasted like watered down margarita mix. It was hard to swallow. But I drank it. We tried to order something else, but no one ever came back so we left. Cool experience I suppose for $10. We found some awesome places in the area but we won't return. read more

Our waitress was attentive the first time around but after that it went downhill. We did not make reservations, but had a hefty party (about 15 people). I forgot who helped us, but she was lovely. She was patient, and attended to us as quick as possible. I hate to give this place a 3 star, but they were busy and we walked in and sat down, and kept seeing waitresses walk by while we are staring at them to give us some wine and no body came to serve us for a good 15 mins. Okay besides that, once we got our menu I was happy. We had left Into the Glass hoping to get some more tastings in, and that's exactly what we found here. You get 3 tastings for $6, which the tastings were not tastings at all, it was bigger, so I LOVED that. Also, I had seen almond champagne elsewhere and they had it here so I decided to try that as well. It was delicious so I strongly recommend that! The inside decor was awesome. Right when you walk in on your left you will see the bar area, and then they have 2-4 top tables, and also high rises. We chose a high rise. They also have barrels decorated thru out the wine bar. Very cute place, I just wish they were a little more attentive to our table initially, but other than that I could see myself coming again. Especially to check out their happy hour specials. I ended up diving into a flight, the Light & Sweet, and took a bottle of the Sunset back to the B & B with me. I did a little studying while I was there (yes, I am a nerd) and enjoyed the music. Surprisingly, the noise was not outrageous as I typically encounter in other places. Staff was friendly and attentive and other patrons were equally as friendly. D'Vine Wine's prices are very fair - my husband and I did a tasting and I also had a separate glass of their Midnight Onyx (blackberry wine). I ended up really enjoying the blackberry wine, so I bought two bottles before we left. However, none of the other wines really impressed me. The peach one was SO strong, I could smell the peach from the glass sitting on the table. Their most popular bubbly one was so fizzy, I felt like I'd popped an Alka-Seltzer. I did enjoy the port wines - talk about high alcohol content! Whoo! The chocolate covered cherry one in particular was a great dessert wine; I just have a hard time drinking something so high in alcohol. Also, during the tasting, a woman comes around and gives each person a complimentary hand massage with lotion. Cheese, meat, and bread platters are available. The employees are very friendly and down-to-earth, but I think the winery lacks on organization. It would REALLY help if they used table sections. I saw a group of four women come in and sit at the table across from me. They went 10 minutes without so much as being greeted, and when an employee walked by and said "I'll be right with you," she wasn't seen for another five minutes, so the women got up, clearly miffed, and left. I was handed two different bills by two different employees. One was unaware that I purchased two bottles of wine. There was some confusion trying to sort that out and explain what we had actually bought and consumed while there. We had a groupon (given to us as a gift) for a wine tasting and the expiration date was fast approaching. My husband and I attempted to use this last Friday night. The place was packed, but we stood around for about 10 minutes hoping a table would open up. We immediately noticed the music selection and it was just...awful. At first I thought they had a man and woman singing karaoke, but they kept singing. It was similar to the house band Sausalito in "Lost in Translation". A seemingly sweet, older couple that just sang terrible versions of top 40 songs. Blueberry Hill, really? Nothing wrong with these people, but the complete wrong vibe you went to send out on a Friday night. Just put on a jazz CD, try to create a little ambiance. We leave with the resolution that we'll go across the street, have a glass there and come back. We return about 30-40 minutes later and find the place still just as packed. I think everyone was trying to use their groupon's. Finally, a spot at the bar opens and we snag the two seats. By this point it's about 15 minutes until they close (at 9:30). The staff is feverishly running back and forth and say they'll be right with us. We're patient, I have the groupon ready in my hot little hand...but they never stop and actually serve us. They were more focused on closing out other people's tabs. When we realized we had less than 10 minutes left to have our flight of wine, we opted to leave and come back the following weekend. Cut to the following weekend: We arrive much earlier (around 5 on a Saturday) and again the place is packed. Knowing this is our last chance to use the groupon, we wait it out. An employee comes over and says she'll see if they have any more tables they can set out. She returns to say no and that they've set out all the tables. She says we'll just have to wait and that its "first come, first serve". But that's not the case. There are people coming in the door and we have to stand like vultures around the already occupied tables. They don't have a waitlist (but should look into that...as every restaurant/dining establishment ever has used this model successfully) instead of creating an awkward environment of people hovering over you while you drink your wine. A nice patron comes up to us to say she and her husband are about to leave and had seen us standing there the longest. We thanked them profusely and took over their table. Once seated, the service was a little better. We ordered our flights and and a cheese/meat plate. She comes back to say they're out of the cheese. So...yeah. We're happy to see we have a perfect view of the Ranger game on tv. But they had the captions on and they completely covered the score, inning and any kind of information that matters in a baseball game. Here's a little insight for baseball on tv in a bar: you don't need captions for the play by play. It's worthless. That's a tangent, but it just goes to show how little these people car about their customers. I don't even care to rate the wine (it was decent), they're just understaffed, under prepared, and don't really have an idea of how to run a warm, welcoming place. read more

Really cute wine place on main street grapevine. As someone mentioned before you can do a try 3 kinds of wine for $6, which for me is perfect. They were pretty busy but still got decent service. The from getting our menus, placing our orders & getting our drinks was quick. Other parts we're a little slower but It is a place where they expect you ,most of those that venture there to mostly be here for conversation & wine. So it is very understandable. The down 1 star was price of the food to go with the wine.Understandably its not a sit down to eat and drink place, & most of the food menu is the kind of stuff you would munch on with a glass of wine. I am a big chocolate with my wine gal, I kind of was brought up on a square of chocolate with a glass of wine, when I started drinking wine regularly. My friends warned me that it was about 3 or 4 bucks for a little square of chocolate, which would add up to an extra $9-$12 with the 3 glasses of wine sampler with how I do things. Just came in with my wife and had a great experience. The wines here are excellent and they have some nice meats and cheese to accompany them. We were here on a Tuesday so glasses were only $4 all day which is really a steal as the wines here are all original and taste awesome! I had a glass of the night watchmen red which is a blend of petite sirah and red zin and it was excellent. wife had a Chardonnay that she really enjoyed as well. We also went for a cheese plate with peppered gouda and habanero cheddar and it these were great with the wine and portioned very well. The tour ended back at D'Vine Wine, where we had a glass of wine. I tried the Ambush wine and my girlfriend had the Yellow Rose! The next day, we went on a Grapevine wine trail and made D'Vine Wine stop number two! We were able to try three different tastings but this time we strategically planned it where we each try 3 different types of wine. We maximized our tastings. Out of all 6 wines, we fell in love with a Stockyard Peach and the Rio Red. Both were full of flavors! The staff there are all so nice! Wow! Loved this place. This was our first stop on our Saturday of wine tasting. What a great place to begin. We decided to sample 4 sweet wines. Each one was delicious and I am not the biggest sweet wine fan. It was so nice trying wines with flavors that I have never tried before and would never expect to work in wine. For example, kiwi melon, strawberry, green apple. All were great. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. No pomp. You know the atmosphere is going to be good when you see not one....but 2 cougars in black leggings with zippers at the ankle. They were rocking it and their young victim loved it. back to the wine.... Met a guy there that was so sweet and shared his drinks and bottle of Hiney wine. We left and came back later to finish off the day. I sampled whites this time and I wasn't disappointed. Lastly I had to try my favorite wine...sangria...but it was a sangria rita. Think sangria all frozen and smooth and mushy. It was nice on a boiling hot day. One last compliment...bought a light up wine glass that is going to go perfectly with my Lady GaGa Halloween outfit. read more

I would recommend this one over the others on Main St. You will get great local wine without spending crazy $$ on it like what the rest of the places on Main St charge (promise). First off, I'm not a big wine drinker, so I'm no expert. I do enjoy a nice wine every once in awhile, and D'Vine had several that I liked. The staff was very nice and enjoyable to talk with. They were very helpful on any questions we had. It's a very relaxed atmosphere, not stuffy as I had imagined a wine tasting place to be. As others have said, it's only $5 for a 3-glass flight. What a deal! They were good sized glasses too. We had just come from an actual vineyard and winery down the road and were very disappointed in the taste of their wines. I think we paid $11/ea there for 5 tiny glasses of swill. D'Vines were different. They actually tasted good. We inquired as to why the difference and were told that they use California grapes. They process everything there on site, but do not use Texas grapes because Texas is just not a good climate for wine grapes. Fine by me. After our flights we ordered a glass of our favorites, which was $7 I think, and it was a very healthy pour. We didn't order the cheese and cracker plate, so I cannot speak for it, but we had a very enjoyable time. We ended up buying 6 bottles. Some for us and a few as gifts. I really wanted to like this place... really. Husband and I went on a Friday night and they were full (good sign!), but a nice couple invited us to sit with them at their 4 top table. We caught the servers attention since we joined a table that had already been served - she acknowledged us with a nod and an expasarated, "I'll be with you as soon as I can." No worries, they're busy. 5 minutes, 10, 15... seriously? This place doesn't have more than a dozen tables and we're watching others get served. She finally makes it to the table and says, "did you know what you want?" Well of course we did, we had over 15 minutes to scan a tasting list the size of a dinner napkin. We both ordered the same flight (red, including the zin and malbec, I believe) because everything else seemed to lean toward the sweet, fruity variety which we don't care for. We also asked for water. Yeah, that never happened. I'm a huge believer in service can make or break an experience, and to this point it was definitely broken. So, now the wine. We like wine, we like to try new varieties and sample from different regions, vinyards, etc. That being said, we are in no way "wine snobs." Our go-to wine is the Menage a Trois red for $8 a bottle. This wine was....fine (and the only thing that saved this review from being 1 star). It wasn't horrible, but all the tastings seemed to lack any body, and by the 3rd tasting, it kind of all seemed the same. Reading the other reviews here, it would seem we caught the staff on a bad night (or our server, at least.) It happens, but when it does the food/wine/whatever you're there for better be off the charts good to make you want to come back. Sadly, that was not the case and we will not return. read more

This place is HORRIBLE! I felt like I was sitting at a bar expecting a wine tasting and it wasn't delivered, The wine was just awful. It tasted like it had been left in the heat. They have a Malbec I was eager to try, as that is my preferred blur. All the wines we tried were just undrinkable. It was bitter and just disgusting. The attendant had no interest in telling us about the wines or recommending anything. If I wanted to pay $20 for a bad experience, I would have went to Walmart and got boxed wine.
