When you drive up you will likely think the place is closed due to landscaping... and overall Outside appearance minus the cars however once you open the door you see it's a full functioning business. Ordered the turkey ( with the jumbo fixings ) and another turkey burger plain no cheese. Took them about 10 minutes to fix our burgers. You can dine in or do takeout. I prefer take out but hey give them a true read more

First of all let me start out by saying there are no pics!!! My husband and I were so hungry, we just dug in. The ambience here is like an old LJS. But that's ok because their food more than makes up for it. My husband had the double cheeseburger with fries and a drink and I had a cheeseburger with fries and a drink. The hamburgers were delicious and the fries hot right out of the fryer. I like the food here it's always made to order and I love that!! FYI they are pretty pricey so be prepared. But I'll be back anyway!! read more

I am thankful that I trusted the reviews and tried this small burger joint out. The service was phenomenal, the burger full of flavor with a bun that melted in your mouth. and the onion rings were the best I have had in years. read more

Amazing burgers. Super fresh. Burger patties never frozen. Kind staff. Freshly fried fries. Excellent find!

This might be the best burger I've ever had. I got the Jungle Burger and it was delicious! The burger was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of grease. The toppings were very flavorful. I will certainly be back. read more

Best burgers in town and excellent customer service! The prices are reasonable and the burgers are well seasoned. I highly recommend Burger Island!!! read more

Anything I have ever ordered from burger island has been delicious. The service is always on point. The building is more of an old school building, but it is always clean. And their ranch sauce is delicious...aside from Wingstop ranch and catfish House Ranch...this is the next best thing. Hurry up and go you won't regret it ! read more

Fast service, tasty food, reasonable prices, and a clean, quiet spot. I had a junior cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. The burger was juicy and well-seasoned, the fries were fresh and homemade, and the onion rings were delicious. read more

I've Never been disappointed. Mushroom burger with grilled onions is always great. Philly cheesesteak is great. Love the fries-especially the chili fries. It's an unassuming place. But the food is always good. read more

The burger was good. It could've used a little more seasoning on the beef. The bacon was good and I could actually see and taste it on the burger. The fries were from real potatoes and nicely seasoned and delicious. The girl at the register act like she was annoyed that I wanted a receipt after paying for my food. The food came out really quick and was hot and fresh tasting. The gentleman that called my name was nice and friendly. It's a smaller business on the inside but it could definitely fit a good 30 ppl or so. The restroom was clean, thank goodness. We found this place from the Yelp out and needed a quick bite to eat before getting back in the road home to OKC. I guess $13 for a combo meal isn't bad. read more

Just freakin wow! My wife remembers this place. This is my first time, Restaurant is clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly from placing our order to receiving our food. The burgers are big and we'll cooked. Burgers and fries are delicious. We will return soon! read more

By far the greatest hamburger in the metroplex. A go to place when in Irving. Highly recommend this place

Second time at this location. Had the Hawaiian burger this time. The burger was cheaper in person than on-line... FYI. Flavor: it was a well seasoned burger that was not overpowered by the ham or pineapple. The pineapple was grilled and added a tiny bit of sweetness to the burger. I personally could not identify its contribution. Regardless, the flavor profile was good. I would order again. Service: delivered to the table in a timely fashion and delivered with a smile. Nicholas (?) was great and accommodating. Ambiance: expect a basic burger joint, nothing fancy. Price with drink was about $12 with tip. My colleague ordered the Avocado burger, finished hers before I finished mine. She said it was a definite go back location. Recommended for a burger. read more

I'm always looking for a new burger to try and this place popped up on yelp.I walked in and it's not a huge place but it's got several booths and tables to sit in.So I went to the register and ordered a cheeseburger along with fries and a drink. The total came to a little over 12 bucks. So about half the price of 5 guys.So she took my name and I went and sat down at a booth. So about 5 minutes later they brought my food to me.Let's start of with the burger.Overall it was pretty solid but lacked seasoning and was a tad dry.Bow the fries I thought were really good. They are hand cut and well seasoned. They should have put some of that seasoning on the burger they used on the fries. Was the best burger I've ever had?no but it was far from the worst.I would come back again especially if I lived in the neighborhood. If you have never tried this place give it a shot. It's not bad. read more

Dry, over cooked, unseasoned patties. stale bun. couldnt even stack the burger or cheese. like are we playing tetris? what's going on. don't even get me started on those nasty, unsalted french fries. despicable that you would charge me $17.34 cents for that. i am legitimately insulted. i couldn't have made a worse burger myself if i tried. genuinely impressive how bad it was. wow. don't go here. read more

Don't let the photos fool you. The burger looks great! The fries look great! However, the fries are salted or seasoned too much. The hamburger just doesn't seem to have much taste to it, but enough of a taste for me not to like it. My last visit to Burger Island was about 8-10 years ago and at that time, my biggest problem was the price of the burger and second biggest problem was a lack of quality. This time, I felt the price was just fine, but the burger was just as bad. Such a shame since I live just down the street. I would love to find a local burger joint that I cannot resist, but I'm fat enough as it is and maybe this is just God's way of saving me some extra pounds. read more

While visiting Dallas (Irving) we went to Burger Island.....OMG, it was delicious! If you prefer a "smash" burger, look no further! They have all the sides to add-on for $1-1.25. If you want a great burger, give Burger Island a try. I wish they would open up one here on San Antonio read more

Food was good but not $16 good for a combo. And why when I make it a combo it's $5 for fries? Doesn't make sense. Overall 7/10 Fries were okay. A lil too soggy for me. Decent food but overpriced. Maybe if I was getting served for real it would make sense to charge that read more

FOOD REVIEW Location : Burger Island Food: Bacon Cheeseburger Rating : 7.0/10 Reasoning This side of the road location features a shack - like appearance with a cozy interior . Though the burgers a very big each containing 1/2 lb. of meat . This however does not add to the taste as the taste of the burger can be seen as lackluster or subpar compared to other places . Altogether the burger still had a fresh and homey taste . I deem this location to be a good visit to anyone who is in the area and feeling a homestyle burger read more

A great little mom and pop burger joint. I had the chipotle burger and it was excellent. The fries and ranch were great as well. Do you remember when your mother said don't judge the book by the cover. This applies to Burger Island. It might not look like much on the outside, however be prepared for big flavor inside. Great place if you love burgers. I got the island burger their number 1 seller and I can see why. All beef, with nothing but fresh ingredients. The fry's are hand cut and taste perfect. Do yourself the favor check this locally owned spot, you'll find as good as I did. read more

So customer service needs help. There was a woman at the front counter who seemed very flippant and nonchalant about talking to customers and taking orders. Later a gentleman replaced her and he's the reason I added a star. He was Very friendly and customer service like. Food was okay. My turkey burger was good not excellent. My wife's bacon burger was just okay. You could see and feel the Seasoning on the Fries, however on tasting them, the Fries were very bland. Flavorless and Soggy. I'd say you could give this place a try but not recommended. read more

I was looking for a turkey burger, so I found this place on yelp. It had great reviews so I figured I would roll the dice. I went around lunch time and the place was full. That was a good look, well if you did not want to din in. Because it its rowed quickly, so I ordered my turkey burger and loved it. It was fresh and juicy and a really nice size might I add. The price point for the burger was about 7 bucks and that's without fires. You wont be disappoint if you spot in at this burger joint, however setting is limited around lunch so get there early. read more

Best burgers in the Dallas area. Hands down. I'm a big burger lover and wow I was blown away. The Jungle burger is my go to but the hickory cheeseburger is to die for as well. On top of a lovely tasting burger the fries are great as well. Think it's an awesome lemon seasoning? Either way they are top tier as well. No disrespect to the owners here but this isn't going to be the nicest looking place you will eat at but when the burgers and fries are this good I promise you you won't notice by the end! So yeah, my favorite burger joint in the Dallas area, I recommend this place to everyone. Try it! read more
