A bag of heaven when fast food was true
    Travis C.

Griff's Hamburgers is an Irving institution. My parents were coming here back in their school days, and it still holds up as one of the best old-school greasy burger joints around. The building is newer and kept really clean, but thankfully the original 1950s-style sign still stands tall--an Irving classic and a reminder of its roots. This isn't fancy cuisine; it's good, greasy, satisfying food done right. The Burgers: Whether you grab a single or double, you'll leave happy. But if you're feeling bold, go triple or even quadruple--it's going to be a monster. Juicy, greasy, exactly what a fast-food burger should be. Sides: Fries are solid, onion rings have a thick, flavorful batter (pretty sure they make them fresh, though I won't swear to it). Both hit the spot. Other Classics: The chicken fried steak sandwich is a gem. Sure, it's a frozen patty, but it's rare to even find this on a fast-food menu anymore. There's something nostalgic and comforting about it. The chicken sandwich is legit, and the hot link sandwich has great flavor if you want to try something different. Dessert: Don't skip the fried apple pie--it's that old-school style McDonald's used to have before they went "healthy" with baked pies. Crispy, hot, and just the right amount of sweet. Drinks: Only downside--if you want a diet drink, they only carry Diet Coke. Griff's, please add Coke Zero or Diet Dr Pepper! That would make a great place even better. And of course, you can't go wrong with a milkshake to top it all off. Bottom line: If you're craving greasy comfort food, nothing beats a Griff's burger. It's fast food in its purest, most nostalgic form, and an Irving landmark that's still worth every visit

    #2 Double Cheeseburger Fries

I thought the burger was great ! The meat was well cooked and cheese melted in your mouth when you took a bite. The lettuce, tomato and onion blended well with the bread a burger sauce. It was more than fulfilling for me. The fries were a bit soggy but it was perfectly seasoned although I did feel that they were small. The restaurant itself was more of an enjoy your food and leave. It was a few basic booths with some tables and chairs. The place was clean and was properly maintained. The employees were friendly and provided good service at an efficient pace. I was happy with the quality of service.

You can see through the meat, my only complaint is that this is not a full patty.

3/5 IT WAS OK. I'll start off with the ambiance, it always feels nice and welcoming. I was there later so of course there weren't many people and that's ok. Service as always was good and friendly, I got a #2 cheeseburger and I am disappointed. The meat content was not a patty, but more like a spread out patty-like meat? I was expecting a nice thick patty as the name suggests "Giant Cheeseburger", please refer to the pictures. Usually I get chilli which puts the burger. Over the top but they were out which is ok, but the patty did taste good, I just feel like I would have been better off going to Whataburger for a patty with holes. Poor quality in my opinion.

    A number 1 with fries.

I haven't been to griff's in years and I thought griff's were one of the best burgers back in the day.Well not so much anymore.I mean the burger was solid but it just wasn't the greasy burger I remember. And the fries wasn't that great.Just kind of limp and Luke warm. Now like I said it's a good burger just not quite as good as it used to be.Would I come back?Sure if I was hungry and in the neighborhood. But I went out of my way to to try this place again.I will say their prices are pretty reasonable. It's like 10 bucks for the double cheeseburger meal while 5 guys is charging over double that.If I could I would give it three and a half stars. It just doesn't quite make it to 4.

    Onion rings.

I use to go here all the time. Now the customer service guys was rude as rude could be. Food was cold and the fries were mush. Check out the clump of onion rings.

I know, I know everyone loves their burgers... good, old fashion burgers for us old school folks. But, dang, that steak sandwich!!! Exactly what I thought it should be... again, old school expectations. But, very flavorful, fresh tasting!! I'll get it every time!!

A little bit better burger than your typical fast food joint. Drive thru is small and tight but the line is usually worth the wait.

A little expensive, but the burgers are good. Milkshakes are very tasty too. They could benefit from a bigger environment.

I recently made a return visit. This is my updated review. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Pop Factory is small on the inside, but they have expanded their menu. Upon entering you see a glass case full of hundreds of pops. Inside a couple of tables and charming brick. There is also some outdoor seating. 1 Star. Service - On my visit, there were a couple of workers, but they were slow. They seemed a little indifferent. While I had no issues placing my order, there was no welcome, no smile, and it led me to feel a bit uncomfortable. No Stars. Food - Thank goodness the pops are great. On my first few visits, I went with the fruity and creamy pops. On this visit, I noticed they now had pops filled with ingredients. Naturally, I was drawn to the banana and Nutella pop. The fruity banana was cold and tasty, but the Nutella in the center added that extra chocolate hazelnut and was the buried sweet treasure I discovered inside. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have still yet to try the adult pops that are infused with alcohol. I'm really happy that Pop Factory remains as a fixture at the Toyota Music Factory. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.

Not a place that you would sit for long periods of time, but it was neat, clean and gave opportunity for quiet conversation. The food: I ordered the Morning Toast and a regular Thai tea. Low quality drinks (powder, generic syrup flavoring). Their bar workstation was insanely packed and dirty with large jugs of all sorts of colors. Some breads look like they were doused in food coloring while others had yummy representation. The apple pie bread was good and dense. Cake slices are good, not too sweet, and affordable compared to its well-known Asian bakery stores like 85C, PB, etc. I got the Oreo cheesecake and it was yummy, except no trace of cheesecake was found. The girls working looked like they hate their lives and radiated that energy off to me. Meh.
