    No meat on the sandwich

If I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered a hook and ladder and they put no meat on the sandwich. I make it home 20mins later called them and tell them the error and the guy who was on the register and rung me up laughed and did nothing to correct the issue. I will NEVER recommend this location. How do you forget meat on a sandwich that was 15 dollars and time wasted.

Did my first pickup order ( Yelp Campaign: #thegreatamericantakeout )for this well know sub joint, which legitimately is my first time in... EVER! I've heard several people rave about the meatball sandwich so I knew what order to place. I downloaded the app because they give you specials and rewards and I'm a bit of a sandwich enthusiast. They had my order done in about 4 minutes after walking in. They were eager to see a face and were kind and attentive to me as a customer. The Firehouse Meatball is made with Italian meatballs, melted provolone, zesty marinara and Italian seasonings. The marinara adds the perfect balance to the gaminess of the meatballs. I also chose to get "pepperoni bread" which is fancy for top my sub with pepperoni slices lol. Pro tip: If you pick off the pepperoni and add to the bites where you have more bread to meat ratio, they become pretty resourceful. Also I saw the sweet and spicy meatball too but thought it would be strange. Turns out "sweet and spicy" really means hot pepper sauce and red pepper flakes. Ordering next time for sure!

WOW! It was my first time here and probably the best decision I made that day! It was lunch time and I was craving subs. I wasn't sure about Firehouse because no one really talks about it. However, I decided to be brave and try it out! Its called Firehouse because I think it was originated from Firemen. The workers were SUPER sweet. The cashier, I believe his name was Derick, was probably the most nicest worker ever. He explained how they made the sandwhiches and explained how the menu worked. I usually take a lifetime to decide my order but he was very patient with me. Their sub sizes are kind of on the smaller end but the fillings are very rich so it will fill you up. One other thing that made me fall in love was their huge selection of hot sauces! They labeled all their sauces in order of least spicy to spicy! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

It was my first time and it was delicious! The workers were very friendly and was kind enough to explain everything with a smile. I ordered the "Club on a Sub", medium size (8"), with chips and drink (around $6) and it was very filling. They are famous for their warm subs. My sister got the "Hook and Ladder" and I actually liked this one better. This is their #1 customer favorite sub so I would recommend this to new customers.

First time trying and a lot of the reviews are old. Got here like 4:15pm Thurs. Few people waiting and they were taking a lot of online orders, but it looked like things were moving along. I didnt quite know what I wanted and they were patient with me continuing to make other peoples sandwiches. The order process was smooth and I went with the meatball sub combo with chip and drink. I was quoted "like 5 minutes" by the nice dude and while the actual wait time was 3 minutes longer, that's just petty if you're mad about that. Taste was pretty good, I liked the bread, it was definitely filling. If Subway made it any more easier for you in way of time or price, I would say you're not missing much here other than a few flavor/textural nuances. For sure give it a shot! I'll definitely try another sandwich based on my experience today.

Insanely slow service. Does not answer phone calls. Employees had no sense of pace in their work. Seems like no one cares.

A graceful 3. I stopped by this place with my daughter for the first time on a random weekday…read more Before I begin, let me just say this: first impressions really are everything. When we walked in, no one greeted us or explained how the ordering process worked. We took our time looking over the menu and were pretty much left to figure things out on our own. To be fair, one employee was checking out customers and another appeared to be preparing food, so I can give a little grace there. After about 3-5 minutes, someone came from the back and politely asked how he could help. I mentioned that it was our first visit, and he instructed us to order our sandwiches with him. After taking our order, he immediately started preparing the sandwiches. Unfortunately, no directions were given about what to do next. We moved over to what appeared to be the sandwich topping station, where another employee was working. He never acknowledged us, and by that point, both the cashier and sandwich prep employee had disappeared to the back. We grabbed a bag of chips and headed toward the register, assuming maybe toppings weren't part of the process. When the cashier eventually returned, she looked at us as if she was wondering why we were standing there. I explained that it was our first time and that we hadn't received any instructions. She quickly apologized and gave us a rundown of how everything worked. As it turned out, our sandwiches were simply waiting to be dressed with toppings. While she was helping us, the employee who had been standing at the topping station the entire time walked off carrying completed sandwiches. I'm assuming he was handling to-go or catering orders, but his lack of acknowledgment made the experience feel a little cold and unwelcoming. Once we got through the ordering process, things improved. The young lady finished our sandwiches, checked us out, and we decided to dine in since the wind outside changed our plans to enjoy the patio. The décor was interesting, with lots of unique things to look at and talk about. We also loved the family feel of the space and the large windows that filled the restaurant with beautiful natural light. The sandwiches did the job and filled us up for lunch. The taste was decent, but I feel like I could have made better choices had I understood the ordering process from the beginning. This feels like a place that's very comfortable for regulars but not necessarily geared toward first-time visitors. Would I return? It's not at the top of my list, but I wouldn't completely rule it out either.
