The only thing that I did not make it a 5 star is because they can take a bit on the food that is if you go around lunch time! I recommend going inside to eat. I've lived near this location for at least a year now and finally decided to try it. I really didn't have any over-the-top expectations, I mean it's chicken. But when I saw all the different options they give you - sauces, wings vs tenders, sides etc I was pretty intrigued. I got tenders and fried pickles (yum) and my brother got chicken & waffles. The food was seriously delicious! I loved the sauce choices and loved that I could swap out my sides with whatever other option I wanted. All of it was more than enough food and fairly priced for everything you get. I like Cane's too but you can't beat having options so this will be my new go to chicken place. Plus, I love that I can get this in the drive thru too. If you haven't tried it, at least give it a shot. They have so many things to choose from, so you can't go wrong. read more

Food is good but please work on your customer service. When a guest asks for ketchup there should be ketchup in the bag. When you hand a drink to a guest there should be ice in it. Very displeased with service but might try again UPDATE: I went back to give it another chance and I am happy that someone reached out to fix their mistake. Best Chicken and Waffles ever! Chicken and Waffles aren't supposed to be fancy or healthy at that but mannnn are they good!!!! Good for the soul! This place rocks and I like getting the tenders with fries as well. It may be classified as "fast food", but it's really not.... you can tell the chicken isn't frozen crap chicken like other places....They take their time (like real food is supposed to take, and I don't mind) and it tastes good and I love the ranch and honey mustard. I saw the menu for this place and decided I had to try it! Fried pickles (my fav) and the convenience of a drive thru, it sounded perfect. However, it turned out to be far from perfect. I typically NEVER write reviews but I just had to in this case. The drive thru didn't take very long and the employee at the window was pleasant. I ordered the 8 wing plate, the chicks plate, fried pickle and the strawberry cheesecake in a jar. I believe my total came to about $30. I feel that they are way overpriced. I really wouldn't mind paying the higher price if the food was great but it just wasn't. The pickles were SALTY! I only ate a couple and had to stop. I am a fan of salty food but these pickles were just too salty. The medium wings were flavorless and so was the fries. My husband ate the tenders and didn't like them at all. The sweet tea wasn't really sweet and it had a pretty nasty taste. The saving grace was the cheesecake in a jar, it was delicious. When you want some fried chicken with a lot of options for sauces, this is the place! Love the food, the service, and the interior! The only downside is that it's a bit expensive, but it's good quality chicken. I hate giving this place 1 star because I love the one in North Richland Hills but this place can't ever seem to get an order right. I stop by here a lot on my way home from work and order accuracy does not seem to be a huge concern. Don't bother ordering the wraps. If you ask for for a buffalo wrap, expect to get it with no buffalo sauce. Or a cheese filled BBQ wrap. This has happened FOUR times. We have been to Slim Chickens twice. Both times the order taker mentioned the desert in a jar. Sounds great yes I'll Take 2. Oh, Sorry we don't have anymore. Ok how about a pie. No sorry no pie either. The second time they just said no we are out. We made a trip 2 different times, and 2 different times of the day, to be told we do not have something on our menu. Great food and great service. We arrived at 8:15pm. Whole family ordered Chicken and Waffles. The waffle is in the shape of Texas and it is topped with butter and three generous-sized chicken tenderloins that were lightly seasoned. We also ordered a side of the macaroni and cheese that was so scrumptious. Everything tasted great, the waffle was cooked perfectly and the macaroni and cheese was super cheesy. Chris, the manager was so welcoming and visited with us which is awesome to see in a quick-service restaurant. My father had a leak in his cup and Chris took the cup and upgraded my fathers drink to one of their plastic ones, filled it up, and brought it back to the table. I work less than 5 minutes from this location, so I eat here about once a month. I've had tenders, sandwiches, and chicken and waffles. Their chicken is better than CFA's to me, cooked perfectly and always super tender. And they have the chicken and waffles special every Wednesday, which is hard to beat. The restaurant is usually pretty busy when I come in, but every time I've been in, the staff has been friendly and helpful, and the food has been delivered to my table fast and hot. The dining area has never been dirty or messy, either. I don't do drive-throughs, so I can't give an opinion about that, but I'll continue to patronize the store, and I highly recommend it. read more

The employees at this particular location are awful. i asked for a simple 8 wing plate. I was greeted by a rude teenager that didnt know the meaning of common courtesy. They forgot my fries so i went inside after going through the drive through to politely ask for the remainder of my order. I was greeted by the manager with "oh we got a problem" before I even said anything. She handed me my fries with no apology and immediatly turned around to complain to her employees that I came in to get the rest of the order that i paid for... This is my first time here heard good things so went thru the drive thru and they forgot 2 items when I drove back and spoke to the manager, Michael, he was great very nice and offered to remake my order that doesn't happen alot anymore. Worst service ever! Took almost over 30mins in the DRIVE THRU! There were only two cars ahead of me and not once did anyone apologize I had a screaming child with me and I couldn't leave due to being trapped in the drive thru, even when the young man at the window saw and heard what was happening in the car he was still taking his time and never once said sorry for the wait. 30mins is never ok in a drive thru, the food was cold and the sauce the gross. I've been here twice. The first time I went when it was busy but was able to just go right in and order. The staff was nice, made jokes, and offered their opinion on dipping sauce when I asked. I ordered a kids meal because my brother had already ordered one for his son and told me it was a nice helping of food( and it was). The chicken was pretty good and the ranch dipping sauce made it better. The fries weren't anything special but then again its not called slim fries. I noticed on the outside on my second trip that the menu said something about how the kids meal was only for 10 and under which I thought was kinda weird. The staff inside didn't seem to mind when I ordered inside the first time. This time I did order another kids meal and a chik box or whatever the basic box is called. I ordered a kids milk and when I pulled up they said they were out, which seems like something they could've told me when I was ordering but no biggie I just exchanged it for a apple juice. The bad part was when I open my box and found some tiny shrimp sized chicken strips and they were pretty tough like I got the gristle. I also thought I'd try the slim dip, which just tasted like honey mustard with a little pepper. This is our first time going to Slim Chicken. We are not a fan of Raising Cane as I don't like their sauce. My son enjoys Chicken Express but it is too greasy for my taste. The chicken tenders were moist and a little crispy. The meat itself was cooked but probably could have been cooked just a minute or so longer to make the crust a little crispier. (It also could be that it wasn't as crispy because we took it home) My son and I both liked the taste of the tenders. I also like the choice of sauces. I tried the gravy and cayenne ranch. The gravy was a little gluey but the cayenne ranch tasted good. The fries were a little too salty for my son's taste. The Mac and Cheese was overcooked for me. However I am also one who likes a "drier" mac and cheese so I won't order it again. I find most restaurants mac are too sauce-y for me anyways. The waffle with the chicken and waffles had a great taste but was a little soggy. Again don't know if it was because of it being below hot chicken tenders and enclosed in a container or not cooked crispy enough but it still tastes good to both my son and me. I also tried the wings (spicy BBQ). I liked the taste of these. The containers for the chicken tender plates are not sturdy and almost felt like they were going to fall apart when we got home. We will be back to try it again. With it being so new I know there are some things that hopefully will work itself out. read more

Nice new location. I ordered the traditional wings and fries. I was disappointed that the "hot" wing sauce was not hot at all. It was supposed to have 3 out of 4 stars of heat. I went back to get a side of the hottest wing sauce (4 stars of heat), and they didn't charge me. The sauce had more kick, but it was also very vinegary. I got the cayenne ranch which wasn't spicy either, but it was super tasty. My meal was delicious regardless of the lack of spice. I will definitely be returning. read more

Overall the food was ok. If I were you I would ask for the chicken extra crispy. I ordered the 3/3 combo and my wings were a little under cooked for my liking. The chicken tenders had a good flavor but could of been cooked a little longer. The sweet tea was ok as well. A little pricey but they make it when you order it. I'll go back to try other items but tell them to cook the chicken longer! read more
