I have been living in Hurst for a long time and this was my first time trying Slims Chicken. Believe me when I tell you that I have been missing out!!! I visited through the Drive Thru and as a first timer didn't really know what to get and the lady at the window was super friendly, and provided suggestions. I decided to go with the Spicy Slims Meal, the meal came with 4 tenders, fries, toast and two dipping sauces, and your drink of choice. You get a lot of food for the price, and the food was amazing l. The tenders were super flavorful, fries perfectly cooked and the spicy BBQ sauce was out of this world. This our first time trying slime chickens and it was great! I had the classic combo and my partner had the chicken and waffles. Both came out hot and tasted really good. The first thing we saw when we walked in was Mikayla. She was at the counter and greeted us with a big smile. My wife and I love Slim Chickens. We always share the Hungry Meal which has 7 tenders and a side, normally fries. One thing we love about Slim Chickens is the tenders are cooked to order; they come out piping hot. Plus, the tenders are a great size and very filling. We love their tenders since the breading is not real thick. They also have great fries. Music was too loud. Would have been suitable for a bar perhaps, but not for a family dinner. They could not hear when we were placing our order, we had to repeat ourselves, and they still got our order wrong. We asked if they could turn down the music so we can hear each other while ordering, that was ignored, we all just had to raise our voices to place order. While seated, waiting for our order, we asked again if the music could be turned down, they said they didn't know how and they would have to wait for the manager to return from his break. We finished our meal, but could not have a decent conversation due to the loud music. Leaving, we noticed a man sitting in his car that we parked next to, we recalled he was there when we arrived. Turns out this was their manager, he walked in as we were backing out of the parking lot. Seems they were unable, or did not consider asking him how to turn down the music. Maybe this is no big deal to many, but for us it was disruptive, resulted in our order being incorrect, and created an unpleasant dining experience. To add to the misery, the chicken was dry, making it difficult to chew and swallow. Staff was unfriendly and disrespectful. Really have no idea what their manager was doing, sitting in his car for at least 30 minutes, in 90 plus degree heat. Needless to say, we won't be going to Slims Chicken again. Couldn't even tell what genre the music was, it certainly wasn't anything we've heard before. I cannot recommend this fast food restaurant - maybe it was just bad timing, regardless, the experience was bad enough to drive us away. I went to the drive thru and I was 3rd car it literally took 20 minutes before I got my food! I'm on lunch so this was not good! I get back to office and the gravy was so watery it wouldn't even stay not even cling to the bread! The tenders were good and the cayenne ranch sauce was good! This is the only other fast food drive thru I recall being in since that start of COVID. I wish I could say the staff were wearing gloves and the payment was touch-free, but it wasn't. Never heard of Slim Chickens before, but it sounded like it could be comparable to Cane's in price and quality and I was right. The barbecue dipping sauce was pretty good too and tasted signature. What is up with this location? It goes from gross to clean and back to gross. Is it management changes? Is it staff issues? Seriously what is going on? We go almost every Sunday as the kids used to eat free, with covid they are no longer free but it's very cheap and we still go quite often. The last 5 times we have gone (so a little over a month of going weekly) the soda machine has been broken. It's getting more disgusting each time. Corporate needs to get involved here and help this location, they are really struggling and its getting gross, if the area customers are is this gross, one can only Imagin how gross the kitchen is. I can assume their health score isn't top notch to say the least. additionally the food is taking much longer to come out but with covid we just assume they are short staffed; we have tried other locations around us and they do not have this issue so maybe it's not covid related. and a locational issue. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to take advantage of "kids eat for 1.99". maybe I should have waited until after lunch rush because there was no place to sit than outside on the patio. (not great in this not so fall like weather). The food was fresh and made to order. The adult meals were reasonably priced and there were so many options other than just tenders and one dipping sauce. Their seasonal strawberry cheesecake jar was heaven. Strawberries were fresh and sweet and the cheesecake was just right. I'm updating Slim Chicken because I have been here a lot since I first wrote my review. And my opinion has changed. I really like the chicken wings. I get the 6 wing plate with a side and toast. I get fries and you get plenty of fries. And my dip sauce choice that comes with the plate is Ranch. Some of the best Ranch I have had. What I like the best about Slim Chicken is you can mix what flavor wings you want. I get 3 different flavors selections on my six wings. I have had most of them but I like Garlic Parmesan, Sweet Red Chili the best. But other flavors are good. Other places only let you have one flavor not Slim Chicken they do it right. They do have other items wraps, salads, and strips. I just stick with the wings. And the tea is very good. My service has been very good at this location. The staff talks to you and want to wait on you. You do not get that at a lot of places. read more

First of all, I just want to say that I'm not writing this as a massively disgruntled person out for blood or free food. I don't want either of those things. I just want to offer my opinions as a warning for others and possible constructive criticism for the restaurant. That being said, I find the service at the location to be quite awful. It takes forever to get any kind of help and there always seems to be huge communication errors. The food is generally fresh when we get it in a timely manner and nothing over gotten was gross, however, our order has consistently been wrong for the last five or six visits. We always get someone else's entire order and end up having to go back in. We also usually order curbside and for every wrong order, they've never brought the order out to us and we've had to go inside (which isn't a huge issue but why order curbside at all at this point if no one ever checks to see if someone is there to pick up?). By the time we actually realize no one is coming out, the food is cold and soggy. The two stars are because I love this place. The food is great. I just wish there was more consideration for the customers. I'm not a Karen and I'm an extremely patient person so for me to write something like this, I just want to see them do better and not have actual Karens come for them. I've seen too many restaurants fail because of service and I'd hate to see that happen to this place too. read more
