I've seen these franchises several times but never stopped u til this one day. The reviews were mixed, so I decided to give it a try. Went thru the drive thru and the customer service e was great. I can't say much about the decor or condition inside, since I didn't walk in. The food though was mediocre at best. The first thing I tried was the roll. Nothing worse than a cold roll. This is a great place with friendly and quick service. You can't beat their fried chicken. Being a Panhandle boy, I always request my fried okra extra crispy and they always deliver. Not a single thing I ordered was fresh. 100% of it was cooked from frozen or in a bag or box. It was awful. The brown gravy tasted like loads of salt in brown water. The mashed potatoes were terribly disappointping. They had no taste, the consistency was like mashed potatoes you get from powdered mix. No flavor and then covered with the salt water gravy. It was horrendous. The chicken fried steak was so small and flat. No crunch to the thin batter. Again, taste was off. No seasonings. I swear on my life these folks dont cook, they warm up or oven bake, or use a micr on their prepackaged things they call food. I'm not exaggerating even slightly. It pains me to say these things about a local business but they have no idea their food is awful. They must not taste it. So, so disappointing. I love comfort food and that's what this place sells but it's terrible tasting. I can't ever go there again. I just wish they cared to cook and had pride in their business. read more

Solid, reliably cheap fast food. The kids can get mini corn dogs, I can get tenders and okra, and my husband gets fish. We'll usually bring a huge box of liver and gizzards to my in-laws when we have a get together. I find it underseasoned/marinated for my liking, so I add seasoning at home. But I cannot emphasize enough C-H-E-A-P. Plus, not a ton of fast food places around here have hushpuppies through the drive through. :D They have Vietnamese coffee at this location now! Went through the drive thru, was told it would take about 4mins because of the oakra please park in front. 6 other customers received their food before me. 15 min. have passed by. I go inside and I quote.... you need to get your shit together, 6 people have already received their food. Sir.... the fish takes 10mins. I was because that's not what I was told. That is the niche that Lisa's Chicken and Seafood fills. I don't know how they do it but I had the Catfish dinner and it was $4.95....and I am talking two (2) huge catfish fillets, and two large sides ( I had fried okra and a big full sized corn on the cob and delicious dinner roll. I ate half and took the leftovers home. I could have chosen a shrimp or chicken dinner. They also offer chicken livers or gizzard if you wish. I took a half order of livers to my mom for $1.99. Mostly the food is OK, the catfish fillets are good. But if you want to use their lemon packets for ice tea or fish, be sure to bring a scissors with you because the perforations on each end of these packets are extremely unreliable and unless you get lucky or are a world champ in finger strength, they won't open and are useless. read more

I will say that it was fresh and crispy, but nothing really set it apart in my opinion as far as flavors and seasonings goes. The rolls were kind of dry. The green beans were okay. Just tried the new Lisa's on Bedford-Euless Road in Hurst, TX and it will deferentially be the last. Ordered okra which I didn't get. The 2 pieces of dark meat had been sitting there for awhile as it was dried out. The chicken tenders tasted like they were fired in old oil that tasted of hush puppies. Called and the manager told me to bring it back to get the okra, told her no. Also she stated that the tenders were not fried in the same oil as used for hush puppies.
