I've been to pollo Regios before to pick up chicken someone ordered. However I never knew they had street tacos, which is what I ordered this time around. They also have 4-5 different types of sauces. I have a high spice tolerance, and tried all of the sauces. The Salsa habanero & chile de arbo are the spiciest and in my opinion taste the best. If you're ever in the mood for an order of street tacos, this would be a nice place to try. Ordering online would be best if you don't want to wait. Taco orders include grilled onions, diced onions & cilantro. I also add an order of grilled jalapeño.

Excellent Slap Yo Momma Good Chicken !!! The dining room seating is closed, but you can walk in to place your order or go through the drive-through.

Those two moved into my shot. Did not want them in it, but my food was getting cold.

When I was a kid growing up in Chicago, we used to go down to Maxwell Street on Sundays. One of the highlights of these trips was to find the senoras selling steak tacos from the little red wagons that they pulled through the streets. Over time, as health and sanitary conditions became a bigger concern for the city, the ladies with the steak tacos, and their amazing homemade salsas, became harder and harder to find. In the end it became a game of hide-and-seek between "the man", the ladies and the customers. In the end, the ladies, and the customers lost. These street tacos left an indelible mark on my palate that, until Regio's, was never duplicated. Regio's menu item #4, Taco de Carne Asada (grilled beef taco - see photo) is so close to this memory, that I think it has the exact flavor I remember. I've tried many things on Regio's menu, and I'm a fan of almost everything. Over time, the chicken has been hit or miss (mostly hit), but on occasion, I did end up with a slightly dry bird. The flavor is still great, but when you know what a fresh juicy chicken can be, to get even a slightly dry one is a bit of a bummer. As good as the chicken can be, I still find myself going back to the steak taco (it's a full-size taco, not a mini/street taco) again and again. Add some of the amazing green sauce (Many think it's avocado, but I don't think it is. It's more a creamy, rather hot, green chile sauce) and the flavor is out of this world. Nibble on the roasted jalapeno between bites of taco and it's a party for your mouth. I love it! The one item I'm not crazy about is the chicken mole. Mole is one of my favorite things, and I almost always try it when at a new place. Regio's mole misses the mark for me. I'll usually try one of the fruit beverages (melon is my favorite) to wash it all down. The horchata is pretty good too. Yum! This will now be my default location, but I used to eat at the Arlington locations, a lot! Oh, and at the one that was on Riverside, which is now closed. Bottom line: The taste of a childhood memory.

First things first the food is DELICIOUS and made to order. I personally love the Asada tacos and the Asada nachos. The customer service here is AMAZING!!! I waited about 15 minutes for my order but this place is worth the wait. THANK YOU SO MUCH KARINA you're awesome!!! I'll definitely be back soon lol

We take out the order and ate it at home.

We went to stop by, the place is visible, the restaurant looks clean and the menu isn't confusing. Plenty of parking spots outside the restaurant and it's close to Walmart too. We ordered their Whole Chicken which comes with Spanish rice, Charro Beans Soup, Tortillas, Grilled Onions, and Lime. I don't usually eat beans but the Charro Beans they offered was actually good and the pork inside the soup. The Whole Chicken was the best part of it with the Grilled Onions & Tortillas, but I think their Whole Chicken should add more spice to it to give it a savory taste. Overall, the soup was great & the chicken is moist and good. It's a complete meal for it's price. I'd give this a 5 stars and would comeback again next time. Update: The chicken isn't good for left over, the next day. It is good when it's cooked fresh.

As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

Servers provided a great experience aside from a bunch of flies (ate outside on the patio and were waving at flys most of the night). Three stars for the prices. We are an entirely vegetarian meal with no alcohol and paid $400 for a party of six...and we were sharing (yes, you read that correctly). $13 for a side of Mexican rice. $18 for essentially a side mashed potatoes. $16 for grilled vegetables. And the portions were SMALL. We were sharing across four adults and three kids and everyone only ended up getting a tiny amount. It was really difficult believing we were receiving any real value...it felt like the Don and figured out how to have unsuspecting guests pay double! It to say this isn't a legit high-end Mexican restaurant, it is. But I would more realistically describe it as a high-end steak house with wrap-around Mexican dishes (which explains why the side prices were so extreme). Kids quesadillas with steak were $17 a piece with no sides other than potato chips (a little odd given the context). Anyway, I'll end it where I began...food was good, servers were great...but just not worth the price. If the bill had been half or the portions were larger, it would have felt like we were actually getting value for our money.

Food: I got the enchiladas three ways with steak. You can take the regular three sauces or choose just one if you'd like. Green sauce is the best, white sauce is pretty good, and the red mole is fine but I wish I would have swapped it out with the spicy almost (orange) sauce that comes with the seafood enchiladas. That sauce looks so good! My partner did not like the red sauce at all, again I thought it was fine just not amazing like the other two. Beans and rice are good, nothing special. Nothing wrong with the chips and salsa just run of the mill. Other thoughts: I wish I had just ate my food at the bar instead of ordering take out. Bar seats are comfortable, views of a tv for anyone sitting at the bar, and it's just a nice comfortable atmosphere in there. The hostess and bar tenders I interacted with provided great service.

You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
