Slim Chickens is a fun new fried chicken joint in Stetson that we've been excited about for a while now...unfortunately our experience left much to be desired. The drive thru was efficient and everyone was very nice, so that went smoothly. The restaurant itself is clean, fresh, new, and a decent place to eat in for fast food. We ordered their signature chicken strips meal with multiple sauces. The food came up fairly quickly and we drove home to dig right in! The portions are average and the prices somewhat reasonable which is a nice change from recent fast food price hikes. The disappointment came when we tasted our meals and found lack of flavor, soggy fries, and nothing special about Slim Chickens...I guess that's why they push the sauces. Popeyes and chik fil a have great spice and flavor and we were anticipating the same here, but sadly it's just mediocre. They do offer appetizers which we also indulged in with some fried okra and that was super soggy and not very good. Our experience was a bummer, especially since we were hoping for a new place in the neighborhood to grab a good bite.

Service and food were great! I tried the tenders with the Korean BBQ sauce and the garlic parm sauce. Korean BQ sauce was good just a little bit of heat. The garlic parm was served cold probably better warmed. The Mac n cheese was lackluster no real taste . The tenders were amazing! The wrap was delicious !

    What I got :(

If you want an extra salty, overpriced "slim" chicken sandwich that will give you a stomach ache come here but if you want a "huge" chicken sandwich find a different chicken place to eat. My fav chicken spot "which is closed Sunday" hint hint has nearly twice the size of a chicken breast in their sandwiches for literally half the price with no bonus stomach ache. Had a stomach ache the moment I drove away, my wife only ate half of her chicken sandwich. Waste of 25$ and got a bonus stomach ache. I might sound very salty which I am but only because I felt like a was eating spoonfuls of salt with every bite of the chicken sandwich. "Slim" star review!

Is it me or are fast casual chicken spots popping up everywhere? Ordered a chicken sandwich to go, wait was a little longer than expected. The chicken sandwich was noticeably smaller than chick fil a, bird call, and others. Taste was decent overall.

    Slim's Meal sub Fried Mushrooms

Food is always fresh and of high quality. Usually I sub the mushrooms instead of fry's. This last time the amount of mushrooms I got was minimal and not what they usually serve. I asked the night manager why that was and he explained but quickly offered to rectify the situation. Amazing customer service. Side note to slim chicken corporate, if you up charging on a product you should serve an amount that aligned with the price. Store is always clean, staff is always friendly and overall it's a get place. 10/10

Boy it was neat! Me and my cousins admired the servers courage! When I walked in I was greeted by farm fresh smells and smiles. After ordering I saw my favorite part of the restaurant! Paper towels! Rather than following the silly social norm that napkins are ideal for meal time hygiene they push boundaries and take leaps in meal time cleanup. The serves were even quick to help when my silly and rambunctious adult cousin was mistakenly given a fountain drink. Know as meal time spill McGee she spilled aproxamitly 24oz of pebble ice and Diet Dr.Pepper ™. The food was above adequate, the wide selections of foods and sauces far exceeded my expectations tickling my fancy for some delicious chicken. I would say the chicken strips were some of the best I've had in my days. We'll complement by perfectly crunchy fry's. Although the Texas toast lacked the girth and fluff I expect from a chicken restaurant this was compensated by their delectable slim sauce. Over all I was pleasantly pleasured and would come again!

Heard great things about Slim Chickens so decided to try it out for lunch. The restaurant was clean and had nice sitting area. We ordered the cayenne chicken sandwiches, fried okra, pickles, and a drink. Most combo meals came to $15 per meal. The sandwiches were "ok", brioche bun was semi cold. The chicken was well seasoned but the cayenne sauce seemed bit salty. My friend enjoyed her okra. The fried pickles were lightly battered however it was salty. You can choose a sauce with the pickles so I picked ranch. It didn't have much flavor to it. Staff were nice and friendly. There was a worker who checked on each diner to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Overall it was decent with good service.

The to go box . Super nice and strong box

The pasta was obviously freshly homemade and the ricotta cheese tasted like it was fresh too - so creamy and delicious with fresh vegetables too. The service was incredible as well. Bodee took great care of us and is warm, personable and professional. When we travel, we always look for good Italian restaurants. We live 2 hours away from Osteria Mia but will make the drive just to return to this great restaurant!!!

I've never been a fan of Brussel Sprouts but Osteria Mia has made me a believer. The balsamic adds a little zest to the gorgonzola and pancetta. Ive also never been a fan of peas but again Osteria Mia has made me a beleiver by adding them to their arancini! They offer 6 different types of bruschetta and honestly every one of them is delicious. Some of our favorites are the fig jam, prosciutto, goat cheese and balsamic, the Taleggio cheese and apricot mostardo as well as the mozzarella, tomatoes and basil pesto. The orecchiette is creamy without being "soupy". The amount of Italian sausage and broccolini are just enough to add to the pasta without taking over the whole dish. My favorite is the Pasta Norcina. The truffle and garlic cream sauce is rich but not overpowering. Sausage, mushrooms and pecorino ramano are the perfect additions to put this dish over the top! If you're in the mood for pizza the Funghi pizza is fantastic. I'm a sucker for anything with truffles. Mozzarella, gorgonzola and ricotta blend perfectly to make this pizza delectable. If you have room for dessert the tiramisu and connolis are a must. Their dessert menu changes but we've had everything from lemon ricotta cheesecake to chocolate orange cake and they've all be equisite. Service has always been spot on with prompt service and knowledgeable staff. We often order solely off their recomendations. Osteria Mia has amazing happy hour specials as well!

Ordered the large size beef and chicken bowl with side veggies and 4pc gyoza. The portions are very generous, this one bowl can easily feed 2 people. Quality is exceptional, both the chicken and beef were grilled to perfection. The sauce that they use goes well with both meats. I didn't wait too long for my takeout order and the customer service here is fantastic. I noticed they do have very reasonable lunch specials so I'll be coming back here for lunch. The inside is very clean and tables were being wiped down while I waited for my takeout order. If you like grilled foods, come check this place out. They also have sushi rolls. The rice clumps together a little like sticky rice vs loose rice. The sauce is just sugary teriyaki and the chicken had some weird pieces in it. I wish the bowls had avocado automatically on it, not for another $2+.

Panera bread is fantastic!…read more Our family of 4 (including two toddlers) moseyed on in about 11:30 on Friday to grab some lunch. It's always a challenge to wrangle the kiddos in a restaurant but Panera made it easy. Upon entering we were greeted by a beautiful pastry case that did entice us to buy some delicious cookies, and then greeted by the woman waiting to take our order. She was very patient amidst my pondering of the menu and gave good suggestions. I ended up ordering a kids turkey and cheese meal, a chicken walnut salad, and a half sandwich half salad entree along with some chipper cookies. Our food came out quickly and was incredibly fresh, appealing to the eyes, and so yummy. The staff did an amazing job of whipping out quality food rapidly, working as a team to meet everyone's needs, getting orders correct and quickly, and they even had someone come around to give refills, take plates, and accommodate any other dining need. The inside of Panera is bright, cheery, smelly scrumptious, and has a high but calm energy. There was plenty of seating and we sat at a booth that was the perfect size for us. Prices are high. We paid $45 for a kids meal, chippers, a half salad, two drinks, and a half sandwich salad meal, so...it isn't cheap; but it's quality and good. This is a great spot to dine at anytime and has something for everyone. We will be back soon!

For bar food, the food was actually pretty good overall. My sister-in-law ordered a wedge salad and chicken wings. She said the salad was in delicious. I didn't try it because blue cheese dressing is definitely not my thing, but I did try her wings, and those were delicious! My nephew ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. I forgot to take a picture before he dug into it. The fries were really good, but unfortunately, the chicken sandwich wasn't. The chicken itself tasted good, but the spicy sauce was "yucky," according to my nephew--and I have to agree with him! He didn't even finish it, so I ended up sharing my pizza with him. We probably should've sent the sandwich back, but oh well. I ordered the Meatza pizza. When it came out, it looked a little dry, but it ended up tasting much better than it looked! I enjoyed it and was happy to share it with my nephew. My brother ordered the catfish and fries, and that was SO good! The fish was very flavorful with a nice, light, crispy batter. I would definitely recommend the catfish. And once again, the fries were really good! The only real issue we had was the service. Our server didn't come around often enough to refill our drinks, and we had to wait a while to get our check. Other than that, we had a good experience. My brother and his family really enjoyed themselves and said they'd happily come back the next time they're in town. It tasted more syrupy and didn't have mint or lime, which I feel like really makes the drink. I've had it at the Goodyear location and liked it better there. Bathrooms were clean, service was friendly, and despite a little wait, the food delivered! Definitely want to come back and try brunch.
