Today I ordered a BBQ ranch salad with no protein, and after eating a few bites I noticed there was a pretty big piece of plastic in my salad. It's just disappointing. Got the delish Harvest salad and husband got the Cobb- both were generous portions and very delicious and the salad dressings - on the side were plenty to stay healthy. There were no pleasantries when picking up our food but I guess that's how they keep it movin!! Highly recommend for a healthy alternative. And the regular lemonade has just the right amount of bite! Hmmm....this Salad and Go is one of my go-to for lunch when I'm at work, never had any issues with the food until today. I ordered a salad a drink and the hummus. Came back to the office and started to eat the hummus and bit into something that wasn't hummus....there was 3 pieces of chicken and I found two pieces of what looked like ham. I wouldn't mind but...I don't eat any meat, I'm vegetarian. This made me very nauseous and I didn't finish it (obviously). I used to love their salads , I would go there sometimes two times a week.. the workers were always polite and had a smile on their face, but last week I went there and ordered a Greek salad, which was my favorite and it had chickpeas and no onions and it was just so bland not to mention that it was only a half a container full, so I called them up and they said they discontinued the Greek salad, but didn't tell me that when I ordered it, they just gave me the Mediterranean. they did say they would replace it and I said OK so I went in today and I ordered the autumn salad and I explained to the lady that the reason they replaced my last order was because the bowl was half full and they discontinue the Greek. So when I was at the drive-through window, she said this is what our portions are and she showed me the bowl with the lid on and it looked full and then when I got home and opened it, it was still halfway full so evidently they're not filling them like they used to. I work close to this location and visit it a few times a month. Almost every order has had an issue of some sort. Whether it be substituting crappy turkey sausage with bacon, or missing an item. This time I ordered two burrito bowls instead of burritos. Save some calories. Well I did as my bowl was minuscule. They got the substitution correct this time though. My wife's Mediterranean bowl looked a lot better but the majority of the bowl was spinach. The last time I had issues with the food, I channeled my inner Karen and emailed them about the 2 failed burritos. I received a $5 credit. Didn't even cover the 2 burritos. Salad and Go is a fast growing Phoenix based chain of salad drive threw restaurants. The salads are large and fresh and low cost. My only gripe is that the service at this particular location has gone down from the beginning of order till trying to leave. My husband wanted to know if the buffalo chicken was fried. The person taking the order didn't know and didn't bother to find out so we ordered something else. Then the person at the window tried to give us a drink that we didn't order. Then the person at the window didn't know what bag of salads were ours. They are lucky that we were honest and didn't take the bag with three salads. Did you know steak is back? I didn't but their recorded message let me know when I pulled into their drive-thru ($2.39 btw). I've been enjoying their seasonal salad with chicken so I got that today. It is the roasted autumn salad, which has Brussels sprouts, sweet potato, dried cranberries, candied pecans, Parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. I like all the ingredients together but always substitute the parmesan for feta instead, the texture is a better fit. Service was quick and friendly as usual and it's an easy choice for lunch or dinner. Also, I like that I can ask for no utensils or bag and I just take my salad as is. This is my favorite Salad and Go location. There's rarely a crazy car line here except at noon. Going south on Cavecreek road I usually turn in between the Burger King and Dunkin' Donuts so I can easily get in the line. I don't think I've ever gotten a bad or wrong order here. The salads are so reasonable. Under $6. They have high quality ingredients and includes a meat option. The salads can also be made into a burrito upon request. They serve breakfast but only in the am ( hours listed on their ordering screen) I love all their drinks. They have ice coffee, lemonade and they are all $1.25 each. They just started serving hot coffee. Wish they would sell lattes! Sometimes they even have a bundle you can purchase that includes breakfast and lunch and a drink for $9.99. I want to start by saying I usually have a really good experience here. They are fast and the quality is consistent. Today I want to comment on my very first breakfast burrito- vegan style. I was told the breakfast potatoes are vegan so I order a burrito, minus eggs, no bacon add potatoes, spinach and tofu. Lucky for me I am always wary about wrapped food so I opened it up before eating it. It was covered in bacon... rest of the order was correct but again covered in bacon. This is a to-go drive through salad chain. Salad was a huge quantity and can easily be shared between 2 people. However the salad wasn't fresh. Leaves were wilted and stale, chickpeas had no flavoring and salad dressing hardly covers half the salad. They need to revisit there dressing portion sizes for sure as that's what brings flavors and zest to salads. read more

However I go to order and as usual I let them know before I order that I'm deathly allergic to avocado to make sure they change their gloves but the lady that was taking my order seemed annoyed like that request was an inconvenience. Usually the staff has no problem accommodating that request but her exact words to me were "uhh I guess I can put a note in the system and see if they'll change they're gloves" with an annoyed attitude that honestly just made me leave. For the price, quantity, and quality, salad and go is hard to beat. It's a great option that's not the typical fast food. I've been here a few times and only once for breakfast. My favorite has been the caprese! The breakfast burrito was good but it tastes healthy, if you know what I mean. It wasn't greasy or overly cheesy like those you'd get at the filly b's next door. I remove the pepper jack cheese, tortilla strips, and turkey sausage, then add roasted chicken (+$1.44) and avocado. It comes with eggs, potatoes, and pico de gallo. The burrito is fresh, flavorful, and the ingredients are clean. Other restaurants have greasy burritos that don't feel great to eat. BBQ Ranch Salad - My go-to salad. I remove the pepper jack cheese and tortilla strips, then choose chicken as my protein. It comes with corn, black beans, pico de gallo, avocado, romaine, mixed greens, and chipotle BBQ ranch dressing. The dressing is kinda spicy (my spice tolerance is low) so I go a little lighter on the dressing. Since I stopped eating dairy, I mix BBQ sauce and DF ranch at home... not quite the same but it's okay lol. Thai Salad - Comes with carrots, red cabbage, red bell pepper, cucumber, romaine, and Thai peanut dressing. The dressing is kinda spicy (my spice tolerance is low) so I go a little lighter on the dressing. The prices are a steal because of their operating model (look it up if you so desire). I've been to this location many times without issue. stopped there tonight (12/3/2024) at about 8:20pm to get quick dinner for my family and I. Initially tried to order 2 pot pie soups, and was told they were completely out of soup. I got a Cobb salad with chicken. it was literally half full. My wife ordered a Caesar salad wrap with extra dressing inside. She received a wrap that again was half full and mainly filled with croutons, with the extra dressing placed on the side and not in the wrap as instructed. My daughter ordered the kids salad with chicken. There was no chicken in her salad at all, yet I was charged for it. I get it, closing time is in 40 minutes and you're anxious to close when the clock hits 9pm...but this is just pure laziness. Come on do better. read more
