My coworkers and I came here for a holiday lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We had no problems reserving the outdoor patio for a large party. Our waitress just was amazing and super attentive to our large crowd, all of our food came out pretty quick but also in waves cause everyone didn't arrive at the same time. She filled up everybody's drink orders very regularly. As people showed up, she made sure to take care of them very quickly too. She also went out of her way to check on several menu items that I was interested in eating due to temporary diet restrictions that I have. Nasty! Pita Bread was stale and potatoes cold and flavorless. Used to love this place but last few times it was not good. Not going back.

Taste of food has improved for a few dishes like the Garlic and lemon chicken was the best and cooked to perfection. The Pita bread served as an accompaniment didn't taste the freshest. The Happy Hour menu is very sustainable and it great for a Friday night out. It's affordable too. A serious incident that occurred at your Pita Jungle location on Shea. After having lunch on March 20th, I inadvertently left my credit card in the bill holder. Within three hours, unauthorized charges began appearing on my account from nearby locations, including Walmart, CVS, and Starbucks. When I called the restaurant to report the theft, the manager (Lady manager on duty) was dismissive and showed a complete lack of concern regarding the security of my personal information. No offer was made to investigate which staff members handled the bill holder or to check internal security footage. Furthermore, I have attempted to reach the corporate office via telephone and left a message, but I have yet to receive a return call. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professional accountability at both the store and corporate levels. I have already contacted my bank to report these fraudulent charges Thank you read more

My daughter was visiting from LA and wanted Mediterranean flavors for dinner. Being new to the Phoenix area I found Pita Jungle. The name sounded weird to me but since it had "Pita" in its name sounded good enough for me and was hoping it lived up to its name. It was a very hot afternoon earlier in the day so she just wanted to order takeout and eat at home. As we entered we saw the restaurant was not very busy, about 5 tables occupied, about 20% of the dining area. So as we looked over the menus I was observing the staff. One was at the cashier taking orders from a lady for takeout. One girl was on the floor. I couldn't see anyone else. As the lady ordering takeout got her order I walked up to the counter to place my order. It took a while before tue cashier could get to me. A bit longer than it seemed it should take. Perhaps they were short staffed? She finally got back and I placed our order. It did t take too long to get our orders. So it all balanced out in time. As we got home and ate our dinner. Coming originally from LA, we couldn't help but compare the food with Mediterranean food from LA. My daughter had the roast chicken shawarma. It turned out ok. I'd say good flavors but a tad less authentic. Do t get me wrong she did enjoy it. I had the Philly steak pita which was more of Philly cheese steak sandwich. But good. We've been doing takeout often (usually weekly) from this location for over 20 years and until recently, the quality has been good. My wife picked up gyros for us a few nights ago, and they were awful - what little meat they contained was wafer-thin and rubbery. Instead of seasoned pickle spears they now contained pickle slices. As usual, we requested extra tzatziki sauce on the side. My wife was told they just "put extra on the gyros" which they clearly did not - both gyros contained almost no sauce, so on top of everything else, they were dry as a bone. Today my mom and I took my kids there for lunch. Her Philly steak pita was the worst we have ever received at this location. The steak was dry and it was in an actual clump. We sat closest to the bathroom and I'm not sure if that was the reason or not but our airspace was INFESTED with gnats. Not one or two or three but a whole family. Happy hour here is the best! 3-6pm every day, they have a bunch of tapas for $2-3. I'm vegan and I love that they have a separate vegan menu that is full of options. Honestly it is a bit outdated, worn, and just dirty looking. Server was nice, however there was a black hair right on the top of my wrap. I let the server know and he took it and ordered me a brand new one, however at this point my appetite was a bit lost and I had to just wait maybe 10 minutes while my mom enjoyed her meal. No manager came to apologize, no discount and nothing taken care of off of the bill. Needless to say we won't be back. I've been to Pita Jungle twice in the last three weeks. Hit happy hour menu (see photo) by accident first time, and ordered as much as I could eat, all excellent: garlic chicken with pine nuts , hummus trio (pita bread tough, over nuked?‍) , feta cheese, dolmades, kafta slider, and bartender topped off my meal with PJ's house margarita made to perfection. However,.....here I am back again my second time and found out from server April (after ordering and drinking margarita) thatPJ has changed the formula/mix and within three weeks. WOW. Extremely Disappointed. Both servers Jacob and April offered me excellent customer service on each visit. No questions asked when on this visit I returned the margarita because April told me about the margarita mix switch, and also kafta slider (burnt bun), which she adjusted on my bill. I'd give this PJ a 4.5 always room for improvement, double checking food before it's in hands of consumer because no excuse for burnt bun and mega purple onion, and pita bread should be soft. April made excellent martini, always available, very pleasant and accommodating. Both Jacob and April . Music great, giant seating area, outdoor seating as well, this PJ located in mall. Love a good gyro and unfortunately this one wasn't up to what I consider a good one. Meat was overcooked and no Taziki sauce in the gyro. The potato's were not to my liking but it could be the seasoning I didn't like. Baclava was outstanding but overall it was all a little overpriced for what I was hoping for. read more

The cleanliness was horrible along with the seating. We had no choice but to sit at the "window" area and a unbalanced table. You would think a caring manager would fix these comforts paying customers pay attention to, especially if your table is unbalanced. And I saw our previous server outside smoking. Good things first: - first time ordering from this place and it was delicious. Definitely better than another place we went to in the neighborhood. - order was ready on time for pick up. - no problem to park your car. Less good things: - meat portions not enough (but delicious) - 1gyro bowl with EXTRA gyro not sure if there was extra gyro in - we also had the falafel bowl . Falafel was amazing but only 3 small flat rounds? Sad. The rice and 1/4th of a tomato is the cheapest and then only 3 small falafels. And then falafel is not even MEAT (as meat I understand is more expensive). - rice was for both of us still too hard but that may be preference. - Greek pita was delicious - baba ganoush was good too. I had it 2x from other places and I had better one but I don't know what the authentic flavor needs to be. Came here on Saturday, Feb. 22nd for a quick bite. We were pleasantly surprised by the Happy Hour menu (4 pm to 6 pm daily). Lots of appetizers to choose from and a nice selection of wines. Went to order a pickup and noticed all the items are significantly higher now. Super disappointed that basic hummus and chicken is now $20 -that's just ridiculous for such a basic order. Then the Greek Salad price was pretty shocking and what put me over the edge was the $10 carrot cake. I'm sorry your version of the carrot cake is NOT special. I think someone has inflated their value beyond what's reasonable. If you want to blame inflation that's your choice but I'm not going to play along. Pita jungle is as solid as they come. Healthy, light, flavourful, and consistent. A creature of habit, I typically order the wood fired salmon, but decided to go out on a limb and order the hummus with seared ahi tuna. As expected, my meal was decent. Great place to have our wedding rehearsal dinner! Matthew delivered such great customer service and took good care of us, made sure we had everything we needed and made it a stress free, fun, casual event. They let us use the enclosed, air conditioned patio for our July party in Phoenix, so we were able to spend time together and move around. And the food was amazing, something for everyone, including the gluten free bride, which was very important to us. Thanks for a great experience! Check out my reviews. I'm unbiased and honest. I write just as many positive reviews as I do negative. I have no choice but to give this dreadful establishment 1 star because Yelp won't allow me to do less. Tell me...does $27 sound like a reasonable price for the equivalent of 6 tablespoons of hummus, 1 English cucumber cut and two bags of pita chips? Or would you feel taken advantage of? Pita Jungle is convenient in location and that's pretty much all it has going for it. Food is fine and I always expect it to be overpriced, but when you order a LARGE hummus and get a container equivalent in size to hummus from a grocery store, you would be upset. We called the store because we typically get a large in a big container, but the gentleman that answered said, "sorry, we can't do anything. If you write a review, maybe a manager will reach out" I will say he was pleasant enough, but made no effort to assist us. Additionally, my co-workers wraps were soggy and they had to pull them apart to just eat the inside of them (which were still barely edible). I honestly feel bad for the store manager combatting all of these negative reviews. We won't be back and I'll be posting this to Google and Facebook reviews as well. If you want authentic Greek food with LARGE portion sizes, reasonable prices and family owned, go to JJ's on Deer Valley and skip this rip off of an establishment. Watch out, amazing flavors are ahead! The first time going to Pita Jungle, we thought it was a grab and go style of place. You can imagine our pleasant surprise when we walked in. Open kitchen, with a wood fire oven, full bar?! It was awesome. We sat down and could not wait to check out the menu. Yes, there were wraps and bowls, but also a fine selection of ingenious salads and entrees. The one thing I love about Pita Jungle is their seasonal menu. It is a great addition to their regular offerings. The food is bursting with flavors as well as fresh ingredients. A favorite is the trio of hummus to lick things off. Outside of that, we try something new each time we go. We have been to two locations and the food and service is consistently on clutch! We have been eating at this location for over 10 years and have not had a bad meal or experience. Our usual order consists of the hummus plate with grilled chicken. We add cucumbers and carrots. We have also ordered the Lavosh Pesto Pizza and add chicken. Originally, this wasn't on the menu, but our server had recommended this many years ago as a modification. This particular visit, I ordered a meal with salmon, brown rice, and mixed vegetables. It wasn't on the menu but our server said he could get it made. The dish was fantastic!!! The veggies were grilled perfectly and the salmon was cooked exactly the way I wanted it. Our server was also the bartender and he has served us on other occasions. Ordered chicken shawarma and Thought I would order extra garlic sauce because I love it and love Mediterranean food in general. It was awful. The chicken was cold and pretty flavorless but the worst was the garlic sauce instead of being a sauce was like cold, mushy, with the consistency of mashed potatoes, so it tasted like cold garlic mashed potatoes, all over my pita. I don't know if this was a mistake or not but if that's their actual garlic sauce it's disgusting. I couldn't shake this and could barely eat any of my pita. Also pickles seem out of place and don't belong with shawarma. read more

When we were walking in from the parking lot to this restaurant, we were expecting to walk into a small Mediterranean restaurant. However, once you are inside the restaurant and as the hostess walks you in to your table, you are all of a sudden in a very large, extravagant and elegant restaurant - that somewhat takes your breath away! The ambience was fantastic and the mood was casual and inviting! There are beautiful paintings on the wall from local artists that are for sale. This convinced me that the owners of this restaurant truly cared about the community and are promoting the local talent. To say the food here was fantastic would be an understatement! Everything was perfectly prepared and authentic! Some of the dishes were of Mediterranean 'fusion' of either Indian or Southwestern flair. For appetizers, we ordered the Baba Ganoosh, this eggplant dish was prepared with the perfect balance of garlic, and olive oil. The pita served on the side tasted and felt fresh. I ordered their wood fired Norwegian salmon. It was one of the best prepared salmon dishes I've had. It was cooked to the perfect doneness with a nice crust all around. You know it was fresh when you can peel the sections of the flesh off with your fork, and those sections just glisten. Every bite was a pleasure on the tastebuds. My wife had the Kofta Beef pizza. It too was out of this world with fantastic flavors in every single bite. The they give you so much food and the prices are quite reasonable too. Our server Melanie was fantastic as well. She was very efficient, attentive and had friendly. She was simply awesome with her service! I also got to meet the manager, Jake, who went from table to table everything was to the customers' satisfaction. I highly recommend this restaurant and the experience here. Pita Jungle tends to be consistent with food, ordering online or eating at their restaurants. We were the first to be there shortly after opening and the timing on food coming out was solid so they do a great job prepping for opening. Kudos to the staff and kitchen on that. The food was good, always feels like a quality meal and that you get your moneys worth. The only thing I thought was not great was the the service. Always a fine balance in checking in too much and just right amount of times, but this time it felt like the server was overwhelmed or focused more on other tables. Ordered a home delivery via doordash. Food was good. Very nicely packed. Even the poly bad was sealed so that driver can't peep or anything with food. I guess extra safety during this pandemic time. Highly appreciate the effort by restaurant. We ordered grilled chicken shawarma and walnut baklava dessert. Both tasted great however shawarma was not very Mediterranean authentic.
