I was looking for a place with salads in Anthem and found just the spot! There was a special so I decided to try the spaghetti and it was just as good. The portion size was more than generous and my family seemed to love that we could share when it was meant to be just for me! I believe who I interacted with was one of the owners and they were extremely nice and helpful. The ambiance is more of a quick in and out type of place, even though I did stop to eat a little bit. The meatballs are incredible and HUGE !! There is only 2 of us but we always get the Family bucket with 8-10 meatballs - Lunch tomorrow and dinner again the next day ! I wish the people who have the Anthem By the Bucket would consider starting another one in Cottonwood AZ as we just lost ours due to retiring and extended leasing issues ! The food here is perfect for a family meal or lunch option. I didn't get a picture of the menu but these two options are there most popular options. Salads are fresh. Everything we have gotten is good. Our sons like it here if they need carbs after practice. Never have actually tried the cookie buckets or brownies though. The service is friendly and place is clean. It's a takeout spot so don't expect fancy frills. Food in the bucket but good basic pasta, garlic bread, various proteins, sauces, salads, subs and desserts. I do wish they had more lighting at night. It's hard to tell if it's open and that little plaza is just too dark. Great concept when you want pasta quick or want something other than fast food burgers. Give it a try you just might make it part of your rotation if you're busy like me. read more

I've lived across the street for 3 years before trying By the Bucket. It was the name I think, but it is leagues better than other places in Anthem. It was raining today, and that didn't stop the customers! It IS a pleasant surprise. Give it a shot. We will be back for sure. Kind staff too. read more

Just moved to Anthem and came across this gem. We ordered a medium bucket with meat sauce, 4 meatballs and cheesy garlic bread. Everything tasted great, especially the meatballs. They're reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and quick to get your order ready. My only suggestion is to provide at least a half scoop of more sauce. The sauce ratio is off so its a little dry. We just added a jar of sauce when we got home. Oh and it's really good as leftovers as well. We will definitely be returning! read more

usually I love this place and have never had any problems. Today me and some friends ordered the family meal deal which is supposed to come with a dozen cookies. They apparently had no more cookies left. the only problem is they decided not to tell us this. We came all the way home and only then we realized we didn't get the cookies. We returned and all we were compensated with was a 2 liter soda. They were also rude to my friends who went back and asked why we didn't get our cookies. Today I decided to try one of their salads because they looked very appetizing on the website! But beware because what you see is not what you get I ordered the Southwest BBQ Chicken salad and it was mostly a bucket of greens - very little chicken and missing roasted corn, beans, red bell peppers and red onions. In other words over half of what was supposed to be on the salad. So basically 9.99 for lettuce, shredded mozzarella, tortilla strips and a little chicken!! So, so disappointed and on top of that, my garlic bread was packaged in a brown paper bag and when put into a plastic bag for pickup it was a soggy mess! I guarantee that I will not be back again! It's nice to have another good option in Anthem. I give four stars because the place was fast and clean. I wish the spaghetti, and especially the meatballs were better. If you specialize in one food, make it yummy. Spaghetti was ok. Marinara was ok. Meatballs were not great. I did like the garlic bread though. Food is kind of pricey for what it is, since spaghetti is one of the cheapest, easiest things you can throw together at home, and honestly, some home boiled noodles and a jar of Prego are a little tastier.
