I ordered a salad through Uber Eats and was very disappointed. I paid extra for extra chicken, and my receipt clearly shows the order was entered correctly. However, when my salad arrived, there wasn't any chicken at all on it. This wasn't a delivery issue--it was a preparation issue. The receipt was accurate, but the salad wasn't made according to the order. I paid extra for something I never received. Based on this experience, I can't recommend this restaurant. Customers should be able to trust that their order will be prepared correctly, especially when they're paying extra for an ingredient. What I love about this place is the high amount of customization options as well as the ability to turn any salad into a wrap. There's a veritable plethora of toppings to choose from: different types of protein, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and dressings. My wrap costs $15 and it was filled to the brim with as many toppings as I could put in it. I just wished they actually wrapped it properly because it came apart while I was eating it. I was also sad that they ran out of chocolate chip cookies. Such a great spot! I love how many options they have all around. My mom is picky about lettuce, and they had a bunch of options right off the jump. What an awesome place! Salad world gives you an experience full of different hearty options to create. They have romaine lettuce, spinach and a few other greens. Lots of toppings to choose from. This was our first visit so we went with The Arizonan and Fruit salads versus build our own. They were both excellent. Be careful by keeping an eye on all the add-on charges as the cost can increase quickly. But overall the experience was excellent due to fresh ingredients, a friendly staff and overall clean facility. It's noon and the lunch rush and the owner, who looks like a bouncer or member of a bike gang, is casually enjoying his lunch while he has one girl serving the lunch crowd and taking cash too. That was only the first problem. His iceberg lettuce comes from a bag and his romaine lettuce was old and brown. Had to ask him to get some fresh lettuce and then he starts giving me attitude. Finally. down at the chicken area, the box of chicken is 95% empty and the chicken is cut so small, it looks like chicken salad. Meanwhile lazy owner still sitting at table eating his lunch. Salad World is a casual "Chipotle Style" salad bar restaurant located in Peoria a few miles up (or down) the highway from the P83 area. They offer many "HEALTHY" option options with around 60 things to pick from. The salad bowls come in regular size and in a very large size. You pick your lettuce, fruits, vegetables, cheese, toppings, dressing, and add on a protein (chicken breast, ham, vegetarian chicken, steak, tofu) The salad bowl come with a warm soft roll or you can add on turning it into a wrap. They also offer soft beverages and do offer a child's plate. I tried a regular sized salad with chicken. I added things like radish, jicama, carrots, onions, garbanzo beans, Asian dressing, sesame sticks, and almonds. I asked for avocado but it didn't make it to my salad. My salad really was pretty good. The chicken was a much better quality than what you normally get. I didn't complain about the missing avocado because I don't know if I was charged for it or not? My husband got a salad in the large size. It was enormous! He went for chicken, steak, bacon, cheese, eggs, and some vegetables. He thought it was very good. He also thought the meat toppings were better than what you get at many places. He really liked that his salad came with a roll. I do have to note that you have to like smokey meat to eat the steak because it is very smoky. Everything seemed fresh. Meats were a better quality. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had the chance to visit today, wanted to give a newer business a shot. I saw the sign for $11.99 for soup and salad. The lady said ok that is the size pointing to the smallest container. I said fine. She then said you get four add ins if you want anymore it is $.69 each. She asked which type of lettuce, I chose romaine. She then asked which toppings. Meat does not count as an add in. Artichoke hearts are additional regardless. Then I chose my soup broccoli cheese. She asked if I wanted cracker, I declined but did take the offered bread. Roughly $13 later I had my food. The salad was very underwhelming. The dressing was super runny. The soup was runny as well but the flavor wasn't bad. All in all I think they are overpriced for what you get. I do like protein in my salad and added that at home. I can't say I will be back anytime soon. read more

Amazing shop! I loved the amount of sodas they had here. My husband and I spent over and hour just cruising down the aisles. The customer service is too-notch as well and they even put our bottles in boxes so they were easier to carry (we purchased a ton). Oh! And in the back, they even let you bottle your own soda. This is a good place but it is not a "build-it-yourself" salad bar. I say this because this place pops up whenever I search for Salad Bars. The good thing was I love the concept you get to build your own salad. The employees were nice. I've been there twice. However, they are real chintzy with the fixings. You get a large salad and you get a tablespoon of onion or or olives, etc. So you get at home and you have to hunt and peck to get to the addins. I enjoyed my experience at salad world. I'd been wanting to try for a few months so was really excited when I found myself in the area. The best deal is to eat in. There to go options in my opinion are just not appetizing to see your beautiful salad smashed into a smash container. We opted to eat in and would do it again in a heartbeat. Many great lettuces and veggies/fruits to choose from. Lots of other toppings as well. My son tried the wrap but he mentioned that they should try a larger size wrap to contain the ingredients. The wraps are roasted on a press which is pretty nice. If you like greens and things I recommend at least try this place once. read more

Disappointed to say the least! Pros: Friendly Staff. Clean Environment. Cons: Ordered a small bowl and received about half a bowl for over $11 No Iceberg lettuce. Shaved carrots need to be washed before serving. Can taste the chemicals as they are from a bag. This made the salad not enjoyable (anything from a bag should be washed first). Left feeling hungry and not satisfied. This can be all be fixed if the above is addressed and we would be happy to give them one more chance for my business. Good Luck! read more
