TruBurger is an Anthem restaurant located in a strip mall on the corner of Daisy Mountain and Galivan Peak. It is a cut above the usual strip mall restaurant with excellent burgers and salads. The service on weekdays is great but it can be a little slow on the weekends. Try the patio if it is a nice day. read more

Had an amazing lunch! Walking in it's a laid back vibe. The place is super clean, Bathrooms were clean. We were seated right away and ask about our drinks. They told us about their lunch specials. I had 2 fish Tacos they were on the regular menu. Tacos were so good lightly battered fish on crunchy veggies. The marinated red onions and the sauce complimented the fish. $9.99 Best fish Taco's I've had. My husband ordered the Adult grilled cheese it was on sour dough bread lightly toasted with cheddar / jack tomatoes & bacon w/ skinny fries$12.99. He said he would order the full size sandwich off the regular menu, it was really good. We both had ice tea it was fresh. We went in for burgers lol We were both happy with our lunch. My family went to the Ostrich festival at rawhide on Friday nightt. we had fun ! we got to see the pig races the high dive into the swimming pool went on some Kiddyy rides. got to see the ostriche. s enjoyed some good food. We love looking at the rides lit up at night time. read more

Surprising to see some of the negative reviews on here. This is one of our favorite spots in Anthem for American food, the service is always great and food is amazingly delicious! We've never had a bad experience here. The menu has so much to choose from and I love that there's variety of different salads but my favorite is the Mediterranean one. Very disappointed. My boyfriend and I used to frequent the TruBurger in Central Phoenix and we absolutely loved it. The people were nice and the service was always quick! When we found the location in Anthem we were ecstatic! We visited the anthem location and were highly disappointed. We asked for a booth and didn't get one. We were willing to wait a little longer for a booth if needed. We waited for our food for almost an hour. We watched as people who came in after us got their food before us, eat and leave. I ordered a well done habanero burger and received a medium well burger that had no sauce. We were literally the last customers in the restaurant. Some of the waitress' even left before we did. While I appreciate Tru Burger being dog friendly, your patio is absolutely disgusting. We went for lunch yesterday and we wouldn't allow our dog to lay on the patio, that's how bad it was. I would think it would be hosed off every morning before opening but it was clear it had been a while. We are also wondering why the patio chairs aren't being replaced. This restaurant has some very good burgers, some with a new culinary twist. Really tasty! Be prepared for some stiff pricing, as well as fries are ordered separately and are expensive. Will usually peel in during happy hour to get some cheap wings. Eat the fries while having a beer and bring home wings. If I stay for dinner, then definitely entree. Tons of potential. I really enjoyed the ambiance inside the restaurant. Quality and quantity are on par with their pricing. The presentation and temperature of our two hamburgers fell short of the appropriate health and safety code temperatures for hamburgers. Both burgers, an American and a Bistro, were served overcooked with dried out burger patties. Both burger patties were luke warm and dry to the touch when the hamburgers were served. In thirty years of working and managing restaurants I would bet our burger patties were reheated at one point before they were served to us. Upon closer inspection, both burger patties had no grill marks and the patties did not show any signs of a maillard reaction that happens when a burger patty is cooked at high heat. No grill marks, dried out meat, luke warm patties, tough and chewy burger patties. Wow, that's a tough chew that's hard to swallow. Whoever is in charge needs to go back to the drawing board on how a hamburger should be properly cooked, prepared, and presented. Then they need to properly train their cooks on temperature, preparation, and presentation called "plating". There's too much competition in the local hamburger arena to ignore feedback from one of their loyal customers. I can think of three local establishments that sell a mean and tasty hamburger for half the price. There one place near Anthem Walmart that sells a 4 meat patty hamburger for about eight dollars. Huge burger with cheese with all its fixings for about eight dollars. That's a tough sell if you know what the food costs are and how slim the margins are on hamburgers. I eagerly look forward to visiting again, and deleting this review once food preparation and presentation return to normal temperature and flavor. Until then I know that bad habits die hard, and hopefully this pace can turn themselves around before they lose more and more clientele to the nearby competition. Blockbuster video, Sears Roebuck, JC Penny's, and Toys R Us also shared a similar displeasure in offering a decent customer service experience to their loyal customers. I was hesitant to update my review but I don't think the matter was handled in a proper manner. Was super excited that they had happy hour M-F from 3pm-6 pm and all day Sunday. We ordered a bunch of shareable plates and everything we ordered was good but the wings. I didn't get to try it because after my BF took a bite he said it tasted like mold and we didn't even get blue cheese on the side. The server apologized and said she would take it out of the bill. Burgers was Fantastic. However the cocktails need some work! I didn't personally order a cocktail but everyone else did. They were guys and both got sent back.... I did try them and agreed not the best. I would of just drank them and not order again. They insisted on sending them back and getting something they like. Haha I get it! So all burgers come Al Carte and sides are pretty big definitely could share if you wanted. My Burger e was fabulous. I did the Build your own.Let's start with the Bun! Those Brioche Buns, it tickles my fancy. Next I picked the Angus Grass Fed Beef accompanied with a chipotle Aioli, Bacon, Lettuce and Bleu Cheese Crumbles. This is my go to Burger always. My husband and I love this place. We come almost every Sunday for beer and chicken wings. Everything always tastes excellent. The servers are wonderful and kind. The atmosphere is laid-back and chill. It is the perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon. We also just got a puppy, and they have such a welcoming atmosphere for pups. Noticed this burger joint on my way to a doctor's appointment and decided to try it out after going on yelp and seeing it had pretty decent reviews. I ordered my burger, medium rare and it came out very well done and I mean well done, completely dry. Being somebody that normally doesn't send food back and then eat the food that is then brought back out, I finished half my burger and the waitress came up and asked me how it was. I pointed out to her that it was very well done and told her it was dry. She explained that "the kitchen just got a new grill a couple weeks ago and they're trying to figure it out". I understand that may take some time but it does not take a couple weeks for a good cook to figure out the temperature on a grill. And really shouldn't matter because it's all off the feel of the burger and experience of the cook. But then I got my check and she applied a little bit of a discount just over five dollars. I expressed to her that I don't feel I should have to pay for a burger that was completely dry and not cooked correctly. She understood and took the check away came back and wouldn't you know I was in charge full price for the onion rings I did eat and my iced tea, both understandable but the full price onion rings was about 60% of what the burger and onion rings cost.
