Every table I went to was dirty. I looked on the floor and noticed the disgust next to the wall. So much trash. The table we sat at was sticky and so was the part under the seats. It was all over my calf. The girl that rang me up had on extremely longs fake nails and couldn't even grab my cash off the counter. When we were th were around 1pm it was pretty much empty. If it's so empty then more cleaning could and should be done. I'm not sure I'll be back after this disgusting visit. read more

This was my first experience and a weird one it was. I went through the drive through because there was no line and it was 12:30pm (should have paid attention to the red flag). Again, I was the only person in the drive through, yet it took longer than expected to place my order. I was eventually directed to window #1. When I came around the bend, I was surprised to find her two cars ahead of me. I waited for again, an unreasonable amount of time, to the point I was about to pull out of the line and find lunch elsewhere. It was finally my time at window #1 and I became confused since no one came to the window, so I eventually moved to the next window. At that window, service was prompted. I was handed my food (4 piece tenders with a drink and a strawberry cheesecake). I still had my debit card in hand as I went to pay for my food; however the lady closed the window. When she returned, she had my strawberry cheesecake and handed it to me. Again, I go to hand her my card and again she closes the window. I double checked my order as I was now waiting for my drink, and to pay, and my order was correct. When the window opened again, there appeared to be a manager who I assumed was going to say something about me having my order, but not paying, so I beat her to it and told her that no one came to the first window so I thought perhaps this was the correct window. Without further conversation I handed her my card. Fast forward, after I paid and received my drink; I'm ready to enjoy my lunch. SO DISAPPOINTING! The fries appeared to be old, the toast was slightly burnt and stale, and the strawberry cheesecake tasted like banana with a lot of whipped cream (first bite is all it took). The chicken strips in all fairness, appeared to be fresh and my fruit punch as just right. Overall, this was a disgustingly NO for me and definitely not worth the $21.13 that I paid. read more

The chicken and waffles doesn't come with a dipping sauce. If you look at their dipping sauces, maple syrup isn't one of them. So why do I have to pay 40 cents for a dipping sauce when my order comes with chicken strips. The maple syrup is for my waffle. Not the strips Slims. Anyway, the waffle was tasteless,mushy and bad. I should've read the Yelp reviews before ordering from this restaurant. We wanted to try a new chicken place aside from our usual, so we used Doordash to order slim chickens. I got the 5 piece meal and the fried pickles. I found the chicken to be lacking spices but was salty. The fried pickles were WAY too salty, I didnt eat them and ending up throwing them away. The fries were basic and i didnt end up eating those either. This place is a one and done for me. read more

While heading out of town a stopped by this place again. The first time I went, I wasn't impressed with their sandwich. But I wanted to get something that was easy to eat on the road. I ended up with the tenders and fries and they were really good. The fried chicken tenders were large and the batter is awesome. Slim Chickens is a fun new fried chicken joint in Stetson that we've been excited about for a while now...unfortunately our experience left much to be desired. The drive thru was efficient and everyone was very nice, so that went smoothly. The restaurant itself is clean, fresh, new, and a decent place to eat in for fast food. We ordered their signature chicken strips meal with multiple sauces. The food came up fairly quickly and we drove home to dig right in! The portions are average and the prices somewhat reasonable which is a nice change from recent fast food price hikes. The disappointment came when we tasted our meals and found lack of flavor, soggy fries, and nothing special about Slim Chickens...I guess that's why they push the sauces. Popeyes and chik fil a have great spice and flavor and we were anticipating the same here, but sadly it's just mediocre. They do offer appetizers which we also indulged in with some fried okra and that was super soggy and not very good. First time customer. I ordered the 3 piece grilled chicken tenders meal for my wife and I ordered the chicken sandwich. The tenders were good, but my sandwich had some hard, rubbery, sections in the meat. I thought it was just one little section of the sandwich, but it was about 1/3 of the meat. I couldn't eat the rest of the sandwich. I ordered on-line and the order was ready when I got there. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant looked clean. One thing I couldn't find in the on-line ordering system was how to replace the mayo on the sandwich with one of the sauces available for the strips order. My fav chicken spot "which is closed Sunday" hint hint has nearly twice the size of a chicken breast in their sandwiches for literally half the price with no bonus stomach ache. Had a stomach ache the moment I drove away, my wife only ate half of her chicken sandwich. Waste of 25$ and got a bonus stomach ache. Chicken is very average. About what you'd expect from the hot lamps at a grocery store. Fries were fine. Brownies and lemonade were terrible. Food is always fresh and of high quality. Usually I sub the mushrooms instead of fry's. This last time the amount of mushrooms I got was minimal and not what they usually serve. I asked the night manager why that was and he explained but quickly offered to rectify the situation. Amazing customer service. Side note to slim chicken corporate, if you up charging on a product you should serve an amount that aligned with the price. The serves were even quick to help when my silly and rambunctious adult cousin was mistakenly given a fountain drink. Know as meal time spill McGee she spilled aproxamitly 24oz of pebble ice and Diet Dr.Pepper ™. The food was above adequate, the wide selections of foods and sauces far exceeded my expectations tickling my fancy for some delicious chicken. I would say the chicken strips were some of the best I've had in my days. We'll complement by perfectly crunchy fry's. Heard great things about Slim Chickens so decided to try it out for lunch. The restaurant was clean and had nice sitting area. We ordered the cayenne chicken sandwiches, fried okra, pickles, and a drink. Most combo meals came to $15 per meal. The sandwiches were "ok", brioche bun was semi cold. The chicken was well seasoned but the cayenne sauce seemed bit salty. My friend enjoyed her okra. The fried pickles were lightly battered however it was salty. You can choose a sauce with the pickles so I picked ranch. It didn't have much flavor to it. Staff were nice and friendly. So I am a huge fan of Canes chicken but with this new spot . I'm hooked it has a whole lot less breading on the tenders . And u have the option of getting all chicken tenders or side by side with buffalo wings . And they also with fries , bread , your drink and sauces . What a combination ... oh did I mention they have white gravy . That just made it 100 times better . Plus it's close to home and they have patience to help you out . Unfortunately I have to say I'm a little disappointed and I really really wanted to love this place since it's a new local spot close to the house. I'm going to give a little credit, it's only been open a short period of time and it's definitely chaos. However, had to ask four different employees what their signature slim sauce tasted like. I definitely feel that that should be something everyone taste, especially if it's a signature item. I waited for about a total of 20 minutes just to get a receipt which I never actually got because for some reason the machine had no record of my order. The worst part about that is that 10 minutes of it was while they already had my food. So by the time I got my food home it was not as hot as it could be. The ordering process was a little hard. The girl that took her order didn't seem to really know a lot. She had no idea what the gravy was or how to describe it. We asked her to upgrade our fry side to a a fried pickles and she just gave us an entire order of fried pickles. She just seemed very confused and not well prepared for the rush that they were having. The food itself is okay. Like I said, unfortunately it probably wasn't as warm as we could have had it, but the chicken itself seemed to be a bit dry. The fries were okay. Nothing special. The pickles again probably would have been better had they not sat but we're definitely salty. Comparing it to another place like Canes or Chick-fil-A, we will give it a few months and give it another shot. It wasn't terrible. It just was not what we hoped it would be. I was really looking forward to trying Slim Chickens since I've been driving by the location for months now as they were building it. The line in the drive thru wasn't too long and the people working it were fairly friendly. I thought the employees were overall good. The food is unfortunately another story. We got ours to go and we only live about 7 minutes from the restaurant. By the time we got home, all our food was soggy as the steaming hot food just made everything limp. The tenders are on the smaller side but that was fine. The seasoning on them was ok but nothing exceptional. The Slim Sauce is just awful. A thick consistency and almost no flavor. The fries were hard to judge because they were just not crispy. I got the 3 and 3 combo so I also got wings. None of the wings were cooked enough. The flavor of the sauce was ok but just not enough to flavor the wing. Garlic toast was ok but not anything I'd travel to get. Overall it was just disappointing. I am a big supporter of businesses in our area but I just think there are better options if you want chicken strips or wings. read more

We enjoyed the crispy chicken sandwich. It was moist chicken, tasty, the sauce was a real plus. We were surprised as to how much we liked eating there. Our only complaints we had was the staff needs to be trained on keeping the dining room cleaned up. It was kind of an uncomfortable place to eat. From entering the ordering area to selecting a table it wasn't very clean. They also didn't seem like they were happy to welcome us in.
