Panera bread is fantastic! Our family of 4 (including two toddlers) moseyed on in about 11:30 on Friday to grab some lunch. It's always a challenge to wrangle the kiddos in a restaurant but Panera made it easy. Upon entering we were greeted by a beautiful pastry case that did entice us to buy some delicious cookies, and then greeted by the woman waiting to take our order. She was very patient amidst my pondering of the menu and gave good suggestions. I ended up ordering a kids turkey and cheese meal, a chicken walnut salad, and a half sandwich half salad entree along with some chipper cookies. Our food came out quickly and was incredibly fresh, appealing to the eyes, and so yummy. The staff did an amazing job of whipping out quality food rapidly, working as a team to meet everyone's needs, getting orders correct and quickly, and they even had someone come around to give refills, take plates, and accommodate any other dining need. The inside of Panera is bright, cheery, smelly scrumptious, and has a high but calm energy. There was plenty of seating and we sat at a booth that was the perfect size for us. Prices are high. We paid $45 for a kids meal, chippers, a half salad, two drinks, and a half sandwich salad meal, so...it isn't cheap; but it's quality and good. This is a great spot to dine at anytime and has something for everyone. We will be back soon! read more

Also tried the Dubai cookie and while it was decent, the price is a little wild considering how tiny the cookie is. Plenty of seating in here and friendly staff. read more

Panera bread is located in the Shops at Norterra Plaza. My friends and I stopped in for lunch. We decided on a BLT and Mac and cheese, Caesar salad, and sesame Asian salad. Service was good and the food came up fast. There was plenty of seating inside as well as outside. My salad was fresh and tasty. Everyone seemed quite happy with their food. The manager of the Day came around and asked customers how we were enjoying our food. Nice touch. The business is clean and welcoming. Plenty of shared parking and Wi-Fi in the plaza. read more

Stopped for lunch today with my family. They don't really have personnel to run a counter for orders so you have to use the iPads at the entrance to order everything yourself. The food was delivered quick and everything was delicious and hot. The place was decently busy not staff was staying on top of keeping the place clean. I occasionally come here, only because it's a good place to sit, get a coffee, and work, however, I always question why I came. It's always filthy and the food is mediocre at best. The floors at this Norterra location are always littered with debris and stains, the drink area is sticky and wet, the dishes pile up...but I kept going, thinking that maybe it was a phase? I have mentioned it nicely to an employee before, but they just look stressed, shrug their shoulders, and walk away. It's not for nothing that many of us pine for the old days of Paradise Bakery, an experience that was truly gutted by Panera's ownership. They've slowly but surely placed profits over quality and cleanliness. It's a shame because Panera could be awesome. They need to hire more people and train them properly. If you must go to Panera, I suggest the location at Paradise Valley on Cactus. Lupe (she's amazing) still works there and can make you a lovely breakfast sandwich. At least that location makes more of an effort to stay clean and attractive. Or you might try the 7th st. location in the Target shopping center. That one is bigger and more established (also was a Paradise Bakery), so you should have a better experience. And they wear gloves at these locations. At Norterra? I often see people in the bread area gloveless. Norterra is a hard pass for me on cleanliness of the place and the food handling. They need to do better. read more

Restrooms again had no toilet paper. Not sure who is overseeing this location? The baked Almond pastry was raw and undercooked so had to take it back. The surfaces where the beverages was sticky from previous patrons who evidently spilled drinks. It was so dirty, I did not want to put my cup down. One of our to-go restaurants in the neighborhood as my wife loved the food here for some reason. Not my favorite one but you know how it works in the family. Anyways have been here multiple times and overall had a nice experience overall. Kiosks are there for easy order. Huge restaurant with plenty of seatings. We always found the restaurant to be clean, however, I don't like how congested the walk-in area is where you pick the food. Love panera bread! There soups are good you can either get them in a cup, bowl or bread bowl. If you choose the cup or bowl you will get a french baguette. My favorite soup is the broccoli cheese. They also have sandwiches and salads and mac and cheese. Their cookies are delicious especially when they are fresh because they are so soft. I love the chocolate chip cookies and the white macadamia cookie. Also when you walk in you can either order on their tablets if there's a long line or you can order at the counter. This is a nice place to get something quick and healthy. The portions have gotten smaller and prices have gotten higher. There is no consistency. Sometimes the portions are small or smaller. 80% there is something missing from my order or something was made wrong when placing to go order. I always opt no silverware, and they always pack the silverware. Why ask if you want it, if it will be given. Even though my orders are messed up, they never seem to forget the silverware. Ever since this was changed from Paradise Bakery, the quality has drastically gone down. I LOVED Paradise so this makes me sad. The face to face ordering has been replaced by ordering kiosks. No longer do you walk in a line where you are greeted by employees asking if you would like a sandwich... salad... and soup. There's more customer service at a McDonald's. So they reduce their overhead drastically and yet the cost of the food is more. They no longer give you a complimentary cookie with your "pick 2" meal. This time around, I ordered a pick 2 with the spicy thai salad and seasonal veggie barley soup. The salad is always decent. Good lord the soup was salty. I think my liver kicked in overtime.
