Double take new menu
Brad W.

The new spicy chicken dipper was excellent. I got the chicken ken version with creamy Verde sauce and provolone. Ths bread was fresh and chewy and the tomato soup was perfect for ddipping or pouring.

Great food, beverages and most of all the friendly staff. Way to go! Their fall coffe beverages are here available. What a way to welcome October.

Dirty Restaurant
Scott K.

I don't normally review chain restaurants, but I will not be coming back to this Panera Bread location. First, the restaurant is dirty. Employees are sitting on their phones, not walking around wiping tables or cleaning the dirty dishes. Second, the bread for my sandwich was burnt, croutons for my soup were extremely stale, and the French bread that came with my soup was hard. I order the same thing most of the time and it's always great. Not here.

This location has 2 1/2 stars and I just don't know why. Ive been here a couple of times now, every time its clean, food is prepared well and staff is friendly. The selection of hibiscus teas are always refreshing. The sandwich selection is good and you're able to customize it. Its a little pricey, but quality usually is. I am a fan, ill bra back

Mac and cheese? Looks like soup. Nothing like the picture
Dale Z.

No issues. Just overpriced for soupy Mac and cheese that looked amazing in the picture

Sad sad (half?) sandwich. You can actually see the bread morphed into the shape of the tomato because the sandwich was almost empty

They have good wifi, a lot of seating, and the drink club is great. Good place to get some work done.

I like the menu. It's expensive. It's unclear for me how to order, especially promotions. The breads are good, but extremely expensive!

This was our second visit to the Cornish Pasty Co. location on 32nd Street in Phoenix and our third…read morevisit to the restaurant group overall. We continue to be impressed by both the quality and creativity of their food. On this visit, I ordered The Pilgrim, which is essentially Thanksgiving dinner wrapped inside a pasty. It features turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and gravy. It arrived absolutely piping hot--seriously, give it a few minutes before taking that first bite--but once it cooled down, it was phenomenal. The combination of flavors was comforting and satisfying, and a little cranberry sauce with each bite provided the perfect balance. My only minor critique would be that the ingredients could have been distributed a bit more evenly throughout the pasty. I also found the gravy slightly more peppery than expected, occasionally overshadowing the stuffing, sweet potatoes, and turkey. Even so, this has become my favorite pasty at Cornish Pasty Co. We also tried the Peppered Steak pasty, which features sirloin, portobello mushrooms, leeks, zucchini, Stilton bleu cheese, and a peppercorn brandy cream sauce. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, especially the steak and the wonderfully flaky crust. For my personal taste, the peppercorn brandy cream sauce was a little more prominent than I prefer, and I found myself wanting more of the steak, mushroom, and Stilton flavors to come through. That's simply a matter of preference, though--it was still a well-executed dish made with quality ingredients. One thing Cornish Pasty Co. consistently gets right is the crust. Every pasty we've had has been flaky, flavorful, and substantial without feeling heavy. This wasn't our first experience with their menu. Over the years we've thoroughly enjoyed the Tikka Masala, the Lamb & Mint (which was a genuine "wow" dish), and the Royale. Those are all excellent choices, but after this visit, The Pilgrim has moved to the top of my personal rankings. Our two pasties came in under $20 each, making for a filling and satisfying meal at a reasonable price. We ordered takeout, and while there was a bit of a wait after we arrived, it's worth noting that these are made-to-order pasties, not fast food. Even though we only ordered a few minutes before arriving, the quality was well worth the extra time. My biggest criticism has nothing to do with the food. While waiting, my wife and I sat inside briefly, and we found the music extremely loud. During our visit, the restaurant was playing Silth, a progressive metalcore band. Musical tastes are obviously subjective, but the combination of the style and volume made conversation difficult for us. My wife eventually decided to wait in the car because it was simply too loud. The restaurant clearly aims for a lively pub atmosphere, with games available and a diverse mix of patrons enjoying themselves, so many people may appreciate that environment. It just wasn't a great fit for us. That said, the food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and we'll absolutely be back. We'll probably continue ordering takeout, but that's a reflection of our personal preferences rather than any issue with the restaurant itself. If you're looking for creative, well-made pasties with high-quality ingredients, Cornish Pasty Co. is definitely worth a visit.

Walked in to a nearly empty restaurant -- just one other customer -- and wasn't greeted. The AC was off with only a few floor fans running, making the space feel suffocating. After waiting 30 minutes for my spring rolls (in an almost empty restaurant), they arrived with no peanut sauce and zero apology from the staff. By this point I was flushed, short of breath, and feeling faint from the heat and poor air circulation. I politely let the male server know I was overheating and felt like I might faint. His response? He told me the AC was on and to "drink more water" -- in a rude, dismissive tone -- then walked away to greet a new customer. I packed up my spring rolls to go and paid without a word. He didn't seem surprised. It felt like this was a pattern he was used to. After leaving I checked other reviews -- long wait times, poor atmosphere, and rude staff are recurring themes. I'm adding my experience to save others the trip. Don't waste your time or money here.

Parking is pretty small so parking can be a little difficult when it gets busy! Service is decent and they are very friendly but could be more attentive. It is pretty spacious inside with plenty of indoor seating. However, it can get pretty loud when it is busy so it might be hard to hear one another They offer Korean BBQ but it isn't all you can eat, as well as Korean dishes (tofu soup, bulgogi, bibimbap, etc.), and sushi. There is even a lunch special menu Mon-Fri 11-2:30pm and has a good selection of bento boxes! I've gotten their beef teriyaki bento box and it came with rice, salad, 2 piece California rolls, and 2 pc fried gyozas. Pricing is $13-20 The beef teriyaki is pretty tender, flavorful, and not too salty. The salad is underwhelming and didn't have fresh greens. The fried gyozas were decent, nothing special. The California rolls were ok, not bad. I would say it's 7/10. The bibimbap was very fresh and delicious but a little pricey ($18.95). The bulgogi was marinated very well and rice was super crispy inside the hot stone bowl. Seafood tofu soup was pretty good and not too overly salty. It was very flavorful and the tofu was very soft. I would say it's 8/10 Would definitely recommend and return

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for the longest time and so glad I finally got to last…read moreFriday at lunch time. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and feels very upscale. It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. I also want to try their happy hour that's available everyday from 4-7PM. All the food items are only $7 and variety looks amazing.
