Baked Potato Slice, Buffalo Chicken Slice, and Pizza of the Month
Zoe M.

Love the unique options! They have Big Mac pizza, Baked Potato pizza, and Buffalo Chicken pizza! Great late night option! Casual and quick little spot with a bit of seating. Has a crunchy and thin crust! Served HOT! New York Style, but not heavy with grease. Would happily come back!

Amazing amazing amazing. Got the Hawaiian pizza. The sauce is extraordinary and I usually hate marinara.

30" beard
Jonathan R.

Average pizza. Not as good as Max's or Brooklyn's by the Slice. Great hours. Friendly staff. Super location. Gross! There is a cook/cashier working around pizza, carrying peoples' food/plates packing a 30"+ beard! It's a miracle if this doesn't grace people's food. When I first saw this, I thought that it was either a joke, or he was maybe the soda machine repairman who they inadvertently allowed into the kitchen. I tried not to lose my appetite. This is a HUGE no-no with health departments and in the food industry. Tremendous amounts of bacteria lie in beards, more than in a dog's face. Ugh!!!! I won't return. In fact, I can't bring myself to eating it now.

Pizza of the month and Garlic Knots
Maggie W.

Came here after eating first dinner, but the pizza looked so appetizing I had to have second dinner. My friend and I split some garlic knots and a slice of the pizza of the month. As pictured, the slices here are huge! The pizza of the month had sausage, some kind of veggie (spinach?), with I think also onion and white sauce -- I couldn't see a description. The sausage had fennel seeds in it that added a wonderful fragrance. The white sauce was really good as well. The garlic knots are warm, buttery, and filled with garlic and go really well with the tomato sauce that it comes with. Limited amount of seating on the first floor but there's also bar seating upstairs as well. Worth the calories/feeling uncomfortably full? Yes.

We stopped here for a quick bite before a concert down the street and were very pleased with the food! They have 2 floors, the first floor is a to-go station and the second floor is sit down with a waitress and full bar. The pizzas are pre-made, my freind has a dairy sensitivity and wanted light cheese but they unfortunately don't offer that because they are pre-made. There are no dairy free options but she still loved her pizza. The single slices are huge but we were very hungry so we got 2 slices each, we ate most of it all. They have so many unique pairings and the food was made quickly. Overall we enjoyed our food, it was delicious and a great spot! Definitely recommend coming here, hopefully they will add more dairy free options in the future.

10/10 would recommend the staff was awesome, especially the bartender upstairs. Super friendly guy - will chat with you like you've been friends for years! Great happy hour options! And personally love the concept of a single slice pizza so you don't have to worry about leftovers if you're out running around. Neat little shop, the upstairs overlooks part of the city with was kinda cool! Fun menu options - I got the cheeseburger slice DELICIOUS! And the chicken bacon ranch was a slam dunk also!

It's a good sign that they sell pizzas by the slice. My husband is from NY and is a NY pizza purist - Sliceworks is one of the few places in Denver he likes. They have a ton of options - lots are vegetarian friendly. Crust is the good crispy, thin crust and the ratios of sauce-cheese-toppings are great. As you can tell from the photos the slices are big, so at $4-$6 each it's a pretty solid deal. We got the buffalo chicken slice and grandma slice. The grandma slice is more saucy, which I was a big fan of. The service was fast and it was easy to get in and out with our to-go order. They offer a happy hour too!

Our favorite downtown pizza spot! You can never go wrong with their buffalo chicken, but if that's not your style they have many options to choose from. Staff is always friendly and service is always fast!

Child rating: 5/5 great place to take littles! Lots of room around the tables if you need to bring a baby. I saw a few tables around us with children. Both bathrooms have changing tables, although one had a much nicer one while the other changing table had some graffiti on it. Highchairs are available. Service: 4/5 I would dock one star because the pizza did end up taking 40 minutes to come out. I won't though, since I understand that is a risk you take when ordering Detroit pizza, which I assume takes longer than other types of pizzas. Just be aware that service time is variable. The waiter came and apologized for the wait and we saw him do the same for 2 other tables. At the end of the meal, they charge a ~5% fee for kitchen appreciation. Ambiance: 5/5 They play sports games on the TVs and there is a bar area. Nice for a fast casual spot. Tables and bathrooms are clean, and they give you nice plates with cloth napkins. Noise from TVs and other tables is not too loud. Food: 4/5 Pizza itself was bomb. Really good crust and we're glad we could get half and half. The freshness of the prosciutto and arugula was a good balance with the sausage and pepperoni topping. That said--the sausage and pepperoni were SPARSE. I'm talking in total maybe 5 pieces of sausage on the whole pizza and maybe 10 pieces of pepperoni. For $38 for a pie that is pretty egregious. You can tell from the photo I posted how sparse the meat was. Again, the pizza was still delicious, so I would give blue pan another chance despite the long wait and topping issues.

However, when I saw the reviews and photos of Marco's pizza, I HAD to try it! Reading back at old reviews, it seems like 2025 was a bad year with terrible customer service, poor quality food, and uncleanliness. It seems like changes have been made since then because our experience was great! We ordered the Carne and Margherita Bufala pizzas to share amongst our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 little boys). The pizzas are pretty big, but since the crust is thin, our family devoured everything with my husband and I feeling still a bit hungry after. I think I could seriously have eaten an entire pizza by myself. This is just to help you decide on how to order; if you're hungry, get a whole pizza for yourself. Both pizzas were really good. I did like the Margherita pizza more than the Carne. The Carne tasted a bit more salty comparatively. Since I love basil, I do wish both pizzas had more of it. Side note: if price is a deterrent, then get the regular Margherita pizza. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't tell the difference between bufala mozzarella vs regular mozzarella. Perhaps if I ate them side by side to compare then I could. Furthermore, I saw somewhere that they have a Tuesday special where the Margherita pizzas are 50% off! The price of the pizzas are a tad bit high, but I think it's worth it since the restaurant uses fresh and high quality ingredients. This place is definitely worth a try. It may not be a place where you would eat regularly with your family, but it's great for a special occasion or date night. Overall, our family really enjoyed Marco's and appreciated that they were able to bring us a little bit of Italy. (: We accidentally left our plastic bottle of water at our table and when we left, one of the waiters ran out of the restaurant to give it back to us! Honestly, he could have thrown it away, but he didn't. I still couldn't believe that he got our attention to return it to us. I love the thought and integrity of the act. Thank you!

And let me tell you something: Marco's is better than the actual Naples pizza I ate. And it's not even close. Oh, and I now eat Gluten (sometimes pronounced Glutron) Free. When the pizza was delivered to our hotel in downtown Denver, I was skeptical. Was the crust truly Gluten (or Glutron) Free? I checked the order confirmation, and saw the handwritten note on the box claiming the pizza was Gluten / Glutron Free. Then I devoured with abandon. I cannot overstate how incredible the Glutron (or Gluten) Free pizza crust was. Even the Gluten Free model was superior to the actual Naples glutened pizza I ate those many years ago. However, the real test of a Gluten Free pizza is the aftermath. Here I am. 24 Hours later feeling great.

We decided to go classic and went with their Daisy (dinapoli tomato, mozzarella, basil, evoo). Pizza was made quickly and was expertly crafted and arrived steaming hot. The tomatoes used in the sauce was the most flavorful pizza sauce I have ever had, rich! The high quality of flavor continued with the mozzarella, basil, and olive oil too. Only real knock I could think of was the distribution of basil leading to some pieces not having any on it. Crispy and perfectly cooked pizza that was an outstanding meal! I collected it promptly at the time specified, but the crust was very soggy and too droopy to pick up a slice. The toppings were OK, but nothing special. The amount of tomato sauce was a little light for my taste and it was very bland. The same with the cheese.
