Upgrading my rating to a solid four on another visit. We got the tofu stew and dumpling soup, and both were filling. We also got the pork belly, which was a large portion and very shareable for two people. We were disappointed they were out of fish cake banchan, but the rest of the banchans were refilled as much as we wanted. Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant was also celebrating their anniversary, which made it fun and lively inside with someone doing balloon animals and even a wheel to spin for free prizes (we won a t-shirt).

This non-AYCE KBBQ place is located in the Desert Ridge Marketplace outdoor mall. I took a buddy out for his b-day and ordered a large beef combo. We also got one cup of rice (it's not free like it is at other KBBQ places; it costs $2) and a strawberry bing soo (Korean shaved ice). This large beef combo is supposed to feed 3-4 people. Our whole bill cost $200.47. Note that this meal didn't do a good job of making me full. Thus, their description of saying that this combo feeds 3-4 people is categorically false. Admittedly, the meats are slightly better than AYCE places, but not good enough to be spending $100 on it. The service was very amiable and the whole place was clean. They don't have my favorite side dish which is rice paper. Overall, there are better Korean BBQ places to go to than this one.

Every time I come here the portion keeps getting smaller and smaller and not to mention the quality of the meat has declined tremendously. The server was very attentive and engaging but when you pay extra $$ to taste great quality meat and you get chewy, thick, and hard chadol which is supposed to be thinly sliced brisket you kinda think if they're cutting cost by buying cheaper meat. This is my very last time giving this place another try. Just horrible.

First time here and the experience was amazing from start to finish. We went on a Sunday at around 1:25 there was no wait time. We were sat right way and our server Alex was great! He was very informative with menu items and attentive to filling our drinks. We ordered the large beef combo which feeds 3-4 and it was enough for our party of 4. Everything was delicious and I definitely recommend trying it out.

As my first Korean BBQ experience in Arizona, it did me proud. First, the decor is fantastic. It could have easily passed as a Michelin restaurant in a New York Four Seasons hotel, or at the Aria in Vegas. It was simply.... cool AF. The food presentation and layout also delivers. Someone clearly spent time with the visual experience. This is what I call a restaurant designed for the 'Gram. However, a couple things that didn't quite full send. First, the service is incredibly slow. Staff was friendly, but "nice" doesn't equate to the textbook definition of hospitality. Things were slow, and unlike top end Korean restaurants I'm used to in NY and LA, where any floating staff can assist with cooking, things just took unnecessarily long. This is a pain point they really need to address, especially as a Korean restaurant. As a half-Korean, service and efficiency is part of our cultural pride, so this disappointed. The marinated beef ribs ("kalbi") were perfect. I grew up with this my whole life, and Sizzle's quality is right up there with kalbi royalty. If you've never had Korean bbq, and have only one chance to eat it THIS is the dish you want. The beef brisket ("chadol") was good too, but what makes this dish popular is the sauce. There are places in Korea and LA that people line up for specifically because of the chadol sauce. They didn't have a dedicated sauce, so if you've ordered and liked it, you're only getting half the picture. Dedicated chadol sauce is THE key, instead of the rudimentary salt or sesame oil. HUGELY disappointed! It's like trying pizza for the first time without tomato sauce, no matter HOW good the crust and cheese is. Other than that, like I said, they represented. However, I'd elevate on my 2 critical points, because someone could easily open up a competing restaurant, and wreck this place on service and sauce. Sizzle, you're very good, but you could be great!

The clumped noodles of japchae

Sizzle is definitely an Americanized "Korean BBQ." While the service was good... that about sums up thr positive....The banchan lacked flavor. The fish cakes tasted like they were super old, they didnt even have half of the banchan they advertise in their menu (we asked). They grill the meat on a mesh grate instead of an actual grill griddle that most other Korean BBQ places use (even in Korea).. which causes the meat to stick to the mesh and you lose a good portion of it. They cook it in a pile... not spread out... the mushroom is inedible... the japchae is not cooked well and clumped together.. it also lacked flavor... the seafood pancake, while crispy on the outside was mushy on the inside... they had overfilled it and used the wrong temp thus the inside couldn't cook all the way. Needless to say, we won't be back. Do not recommend.

So good! This was our first time coming here, and my entire family left full, happy, and loving the food. The whole experience was excellent -- great ambiance, great service, and really high-quality food. We loved everything from the steak combo to the noodles, and even all of the vegetables were amazing. It was also really fun watching the server cook everything right in front of us. Honestly, after a few recent restaurant experiences with mediocre food and top-tier prices, I was starting to give up on dining out. This place restored my faith that there are still restaurants serving quality food with great service and atmosphere. It's definitely more of a special occasion place and not cheap, but in our opinion it was worth it.

Sizzle Korean BBQ Order the items ala carte and if you want to cook, then this is not the place for you. They actually cook for you, kind of nice for that person who always cooks and doesn't eat. Plus you learn how everything is suppose to be cooked the correctly. We had the Marinated Short Rib, Ribeye and the Beef Belly, Bibimbap, Steamed Egg and Rice. The Marinated Short Rib was bueno, wonderful, excellent, amazing, fine, superb, awesome, highly recommend. Meat quality is much higher than the other KBBQ that you cook your own food. The marinated meats are so good, highly recommend, they may need to change out the grill because of the marinate blackens the grill. Remember, this is Not an All You Can Eat

Came to sizzle for a girls lunch date with my daughter. It's been a while since our last time here. We had lunch a couple of hours ago. The place only had one other customer. At first I thought it was closed. So.. The food was good just like last time. It was so nice to sit down and immediately be provided a nice cold bottle of water. I didn't even order a drink because the water did not taste like other restaurants tap water. It was cold and refreshing.

Absolutely had a blast celebrating our anniversary at Sizzle Korean BBQ in Desert Ridge! We dove into the beef combo: beef brisket (so juicy), boneless short rib (melt-in-your-mouth), marinated short rib (my personal MVP), and marinated thinly sliced beef (tender and packed with flavor). The combo also came with a warm, comforting kimchi stew that hit the spot--just the right amount of kick. We couldn't resist adding kimchi fried rice as a side--charred, crispy, and loaded with flavor. It paired perfectly with everything else, especially the Ban Chan (the little side dishes that are totally free and refillable!). The banchan was a showstopper--kimchi, pickled radish, crunchy veggies, and even some spicy bean sprouts. We kept asking for more! Between the sizzling grill action, the endless banchan, and the amazing food, it was a night to remember. Sizzle Korean BBQ is officially our new go-to spot for celebrations--or just a craving for some seriously delicious Korean BBQ!

Pork belly

Beautiful space with very nice decoration; helpful and attentive staff; nice food presentation and very practical Korean BBQ. Meat(s) & Kimchi(s) taste fabulous but too much MSG as after taste/results. Noise level (K-pop) is un-bearable as too loud and invasive.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation & was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't packed out. The restaurant is in a huge plaza so parking wasn't too bad. The restaurant has an intimate feel, which I like since it is in a big shopping center. We did the 5 beef combo with an order of kimchi fried rice & everything was amazing. All the meats were seasoned well & the waitress made sure they were cooked to perfection. The fried rice was cooked well & the egg on top really enhanced the flavor. We also had the kimchi stew which I would absolutely recommend. We had the red bean ice cream dessert & it was my first time trying it, but I'm definitely a fan. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be coming back here.

Mango Ice Cream

I came by myself to this location and the service here was good. It's usually hard to solo done at a kbbq restaurant but I enjoyed it here. I ordered the beef tartare for starters. The beef was more on the frozen side but after a while, it did defrost and paired really well with the pear and cucumber. For an appetizer, the portion size was huge and the taste was very refreshing !! The sesame oil and dried seaweed sheets also helped tie the whole dish together. For the main entree, I ordered the hot spicy beef soup that came with a bowl of rice. There were also noodles inside the soup! The soup was very comforting and paired well with a soju drink. The soup is also deceivingly huge. Even after having to take the rest home, it still filled up a whole quart. For $15, that is super worth it. I ended the meal with a mango bing soo. No words needed. So sweet and refreshing.

Do they have a decent wine list?

yes we do we have around fifteen different wine list please come and check out!…

Is there any setup specifically for lone diners, or must they sit at a table for two?

There is no bar so you do have to sit at a table.

Do they have a gluten free menu or options?

If you are strictly gluten free or have celiac I would recommend looking up the menu before you go and sticking to basic stuff that is not pre seasoned or marinated. A lot of the meat is pre-marinated so it's hard to tell if they used a soy sauce or…

Do I have to make a reservation to eat here?

No, you don't have to make a reservation. You do need to prepare to wait if you don't during busy dining hours, however.

What type of cuts of meat are in the beef combo and how much does it cost? Also, do you have to pay extra to have them cook the meat for you?

Is this place ALL YOU CAN EAT?

No it is not. But think quality vs quantity. It is a bit pricy but it's located in a nice outdoor mall and the quality of food is authentic and delicious.

I can say that I have never had horrible pork or sausage here, but I tried the beef ribs twice, and I watched friends eat them a couple of times and they were horrible! They don't remove the membrane inside of the ribs most of the time, so they're extra chewy. The biggest issue is that you pay by the pound for a HUGE bone you cannot eat, and your lucky if 1/4 of the weight is fat or meat. They're just not worth the price...period! The ribs are usually very good with a good pull and a decent moisture content, but I had a few batches that we very dry. The issue I have is the price of $28lbs for ribs is crazy money since that's only about 3 or 4 ribs, so a full rack is going to be $75 to $100. When you consider that half or more is bones you can't eat they're just not worth it! Do what I did 15 years ago and buy a good smoker, and learn how to use it.

The brisket is consistently good, and I always order it moist. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is another favorite, but the baked beans deserve their own mention.
