    Hot pot split
    Kathleen W.

We came here for the soft grand opening and came back when they returned to normal pricing. Overall, they have decent quality meats, lots of choices for sides, veggies and different types of noodles. Their sauce bar is on the smaller side but has all the essentials. Honestly, I still think they're worth it. They may not have a super large variety compared to other places, but they have all the essential all-stars for hot pot and they keep it manageable. They also keep the place clean. Their soup bases had fantastic aroma and were present, not too bland and not strong enough to overpower anything. I'd come back.

Well I was told people wait in line before they open. I guess that is true. I got here 1140ish the line was not too bad. But fyi there is a QR code by the door that you put your info and size of the party. So no need to sit outside and wait like I did. Place is little on the small side and restaurant was clean with friendly staff. The grand opening special does have limited choices of meat which was fine. Pretty good selections of vegetables, meatballs, noodles and choices to make your own dipping sauce. The hot pot broth was pretty decent, I would have liked it spicier for the spicy broth. Over all service was great and food tasted pretty good. All the other hot pot place near me and better, I probably would not return. I hope the restaurant stays busy after the special, but for the lowest cost gold being $25.99 I don't know if i would pay that much for this place. Considering you can go AYCE Korean BBQ for about same price with more choices of meat and better quality.

New Bosa Kolbe Hot Pot in north Scottsdale off the 101 . The staff and servers very helpful and friendly . They are running a grand opening special for 10$ per person hard to believe . I think the promotion runs through end of September 2025 but call first to confirm . All the traditional" offerings my experienced family was happy & satisfied . Veggies , meats , seafood , tofu , ice cream , Et al . Parking is tight but available . Waiting outside they offer a watercolor and several seats , others seen eating in their air conditioned cars in August . ( tmi we went to nearby Costco to shop during the 75 minute wait at 6 a August mid week night and returned for a big booth ) . It's all you can eat , hard to beat at ten dollars a head ! The people working there are so kind thank you .

*UPDATE* soft opening price is now $19.99 until Sept. 30

I came here twice for their soft opening. Once at the end of August and another time at the beginning of September. When I came in August, their soft opening price was $9.99 so of course it was crazy packed. We waited about 3 hours (I know it's insane but we were able to go to a few stores and run errands during this time) and this was to be expected for $9.99 AYCE hot pot. (Keep in mind, they have updated the price to $19.99 now until Sept 30). Once seated, our food was served pretty much immediately. You can choose if you want one large pot for the table (up to two different broths) or all individual pots. You order the broth and meats with your server, and all of the veggies/meatballs and sauce are self serve. The food is very high quality, especially for the $9.99 price. The service is also amazing! For how busy they were, they frequently checked up on us and came to our table quickly when we pushed the button. There were so many people that were upset about the wait time and taking it out on the host and staff. PLEASE everyone, if you come here and there is a wait, please to not get upset with the staff. They are trying their absolute best, and they're a brand new restaurant. They're working things out in the process, so be patient with them. If you don't want to wait, there are hundreds of other restaurants you can go to. Do not be rude to them because you're hungry and don't want to wait your turn. Thank you :)

Bosa Kobe Hot Pot Single Hot Pot for the table or individual Hot Pot, I like that choice, we chose individual. Meats - Kobe Top Sirloin, Kobe Rib Eye, Wagyu Beef Toro, Angus Chuck Eye Roll, Kurobuta Pork Belly, All Natural Pork Loin, White Meat Chicken, with a little bit of seafood of Sweet Shrimp and white Fish Fillet. From the bar, Meatballs - Beef, Pork and Fish, Veggies - Bok Choy, Baby Corn, Spinach, many styles of mushrooms, Watermark Crest and many more. We went on a Friday Night around 7:40 pm and waited for an hour, got seated about 8:45 pm, so we actually had 45 minutes to order the meats and seafood since last call was at 9:30 pm. We did quite a bit of damage in 45 min For the day, it was 110+ degrees, inside AC almost felt like a swamp cooler on a humid day These are the Bosa Donut people

Don't give out many 1 or 2 star reviews, but the description of 2 stars that it "could've been better" accurately describes my feelings toward Bosa Kobe's newest location in Scottsdale. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to try out their $19.99 AYCE grand opening special with a gal pal. The wait was about 25 minutes, and we got on the waitlist by scanning a QR code and inputting our contact info to be notified when we were up next. https://wl.waitly.com/checkin/YdD3ttqWqNfQlPXBGUp2 Since it was just the 2 of us wanting to try multiple broths, we opted for the large shareable pot opposed to individual bowls. The broths on the menu were conveniently organized on a spectrum from least spicy to most spicy. We weren't in the mood for a spicy broth, so we opted for the tonkotsu and Japanese miso. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. If anyone has seen tonkotsu broth, it is not supposed to look like dishwater. The miso looked and tasted like miso but was extremely dilute and unflavorful, even after boiling for a while on the table's stove. We ordered the Kobe top sirloin and Kobe ribeye, which were solid, especially with the flavorful sauce I made at the customizable sauce bar, comprised of soy sauce and their house sauce. We also took advantage of the self-serve appetizers, including potato glass noodles, mushrooms, fish balls, and dumplings. Overall a mediocre meal for a pretty good price with a few flavorless broths on the menu. Hopefully we just got unlucky and most are better than this. Not much else disappointing OR redeeming about this restaurant, and I will not be back. Also, per the instructions on the menu, this place might not truly be AYCE, unless you're able to order on multiple papers.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and boy was it worth the 2 hour wait! We went during their promotion of $10 per person for all you can eat for 60 mins. We got there around 5 and there was a QR code on the door to scan to place you on the waitlist. We knew that the wait was going to be awhile due to this promo. We sat around until 7pm and decided right away we wanted to do the yin yang bowl where we could share two broths. We chose tonkotsu and kimchi as our broths and honestly the kimchi was the best! It wasn't spicy but added some excellent flavor! We got to choose four plates of meat each time and we got the ribeye, sirloin, and chicken. Once we put in that order we walked over to the buffet bar and got our veggies. They had bokchoy, spinach, cabbage, mini corn, and so many different kinds of mushrooms. Next to the veggie bar is the sauce bar where you can make your own concoction! I loved this part as I love adding more seasoning to my meal. For both bars you can go up and get as much as you want throughout your meal. For the restaurant itself its was roomy and had a lot of tables! On most tables that sat four they have the individual burners or the large one. Then on the tables that sat 6 they have two large burners for sharing. The woman that brought out our food was so energetic and really into the energy of the crowd, really appreciated her energy and friendliness. This place was so awesome and I'm so happy it opened up so close to my neighborhood. For sure will be back to try more!

Heard about their grand opening special so I had to stop by. This place offers all you can eat (AYCE) with a variety of meats such as Kobe ribeye, Kobe top sirloin, Wagu beef and angus chuck roll. They also have fish, shrimp and chicken on their menu. There are multiple options of broth and you even get a refill if needed! The restaurant was clean and had TVs every corner. The setup is convenient and allows everything to flow smoothly. The service was top notch, everything came out fast. Also, the host did a great job with the influx of people. A ton of people were upset with how long the wait was, but the host did well explaining to them the process with the QR code. Although the wait was 2.5 hours, it was totally worth it.

Hotpot was really good. Soft opening has a different menu so we tried some of the beef that was on the soft opening menu and loved everything. The sweet shrimps were also awesome and fresh. Service: They just opened recently so expect about an hour wait in line. There is currently no wait list online or written wait list, it functions on first come first serve and how many people are in your party and they will arrange a table for you. The servers are really friendly. Press button on at your table if you need help. Ambiance: It seems like a casual hotpot place with food and sauce bar you can go grab by self service, but the meat you order with your server. I wish the food bar would be a two way one. As a petite girl, some items inside were harder for me to reach. Right now it's still $10 per person with a 60 minutes dining time limit but on their menu it says 90 minutes dining in so I assume when they finish their grand opening promotion, it will go to 90 mins. They take reservations for 6pm to closing so that's an option if you don't want to wait.

9.7.25 - went to this new location with my family. They had a deal going on for their opening. Was $9.99 but increased to $19.99 which isn't bad. The wait was a bit long and the menu was limited though. I think I liked the Tempe location better. The difference with this location is that you go up and grab your veggies, noodles, and other meats rather than order it through the waiter/waitress. You still order the sliced meats through them though. The lemongrass broth wasn't as flavorful here as the other location but still not bad. This location also uses paper plates. The other location did not. For the price, it wasn't bad but I'll stick to the closer location

Went here for a friends birthday and had a good time! The gal who gave us an intro to everything was super sweet and helpful. Their meat selection was delicious and plentiful. Compared to other hot pot places, their buffet selection was quite small but had sufficed. Whenever I'm in there area again, I'd give it another go.

Update. Due to the high demand it has gone up to $19.99 for their AYCE special. Found this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try for the great deal of $9.99 that they have right now. Came in and it was busssyyyyyy. Put our names down and it was a 2 hour wait. The place is pretty nicely sized, but very crammed with people walking everywhere. We were finally sat and got our drinks ordered. The little menu to place the meats was placed and it took a while for the server to bring us our broth and meats. Meanwhile we got up to make our hot pot sauce/dipping sauce and get all our veggies and extras. Everything finally came and we began to eat. It was so good. They have different broth flavors to choose from. My kids got the miso one and I tried the coconut curry flavor and the kimchi flavor. We loved it! So much so we came back the next day. It was our first hot pot experience and we will def come back. Give them a break as they just opened and are getting things in place and order. The food was def worth the wait for us. Also can't beat the amount of food we ate between all 3 of us for only $35!

Bosa kicked off their restaurant with a bang with a great value to bring people in. It's still $19.99 ayce until the end of the month. The crowds have come down and when they're full they use waitly to txt you when a table is ready. I've done many hotpot spots. Bosa is very good! The meat selection is well chosen. We had Waygu, ribeye, pork belly and shrimp fresh, head on...yum! The vegetable selection is fresh. The cold bar has several meatballs and dumplings, along with noodle choices. The sauce bar also has a good selection to make your own dipping sauce. We had a spicy broth and tonkatsu. Both were fresh and well spiced. Hot pot is communal. Bring friends. There was a table of eight with two large pots of broth having a very fun meal near us. There is a server button at the table to summon someone if anything is needed. The servers also circulated the room and happily stopped if they were summoned or saw something that needed to be done. For those new to hotpot. At home it requires extensive prep work before the meal. Then it's messy and you have to clean up after the meal. The best way to experience it is when someone else invites you. Bosa has your back for this fresh food adventure. Give it a try.

They offer a sort of cook-it-yourself experience where you order up to two kinds of broths, and they bring them to you in a large pot that goes over your tabletop grill. You receive meats from your server, and have access to a self-serve bar of vegetables, noodles, seafood, and spices. Because it is so customizable you can really experiment with flavors and come up with some delightful combinations. I was a big fan of the brisket and octopus in the spicy broth, and my fiancée enjoyed the pork belly in the sweet broth. Both pots also complemented each other quite well! My favorite part of the ambiance was the privacy curtains. Because tables are all next to each other I imagine it would be easy to see what other diners are doing, but the curtains add a sense of privacy that made us feel like we were almost dining alone. Our service was also excellent. We had several people working in the restaurant come by during the meal to make sure we had all the broth, water, and meats that we wanted. Definitely try Jin Shabu! It is delicious and well worth the money spent!

When we walked in it had a very fishy smell, so it kind of made us second guess our choice. But we went for it anyhow. The greeter/server was very pleasant and sat us. It was very clean inside with ample space between seat. We browsed through the menu and started with our usual edamame and pot stickers. The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. The musubi was giant to say the least, it was good, but offered a bit too much rice. Overall the food and service was great and we were very happy that we ended up here!

I love Japanese food so my decision was made. I drove over and parked in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (3.5/5): I've been to Japan and there are plenty of izakayas there. Think of them as small bars which often serve solid food. Zu fits that bit. It's a relatively small restaurant, probably seats about 30 people. and it's pretty no frills for a Japanese spot. I was seated at a booth in the corner of the restaurant. They have free WiFi which is always a good touch. Service (3/5): Service was friendly, though a bit inconsistent. My waitress wasn't as attentive as I would have liked. The type of service where you have to flag them down to get what you want and to close out. Drinks (4/5): Zu has a nice menu of Japanese and Korean beverages, including sake, soju, Japanese beer, and more. With that being said, I just had an iced green tea. Food (4/5): I got a nice variety. I went with the Japanese sausage off of the grill menu, the OBI mayo roll off of the sushi menu, and the cheese corn off of the appetizer menu. Let's start with the sausage. It's a small item, two small sausages, but absolutely delicious. The sausage was bursting with flavor and basted in a sweet sauce. Minus the portion size, perfection. The cheese corn also hit the spot, but the execution was off. The corn is served on a hot platter, and unfortunately some of the corn on the edges was badly burnt. The type of situation where they should start over. Which they didn't. Lastly, the OBI mayo roll is essentially a California roll with marinated warm shrimp on top in a mayo sauce. I didn't love the hot and cold combo (shrimp and sushi), but outside of the temperature, it was a delicious roll. All in all, a very food meal. My only gripe with Japanese food is that it can get expensive quick. Given that Zu is in Tempe, I was hoping that prices would be a little cheaper. With that being said, they do have a solid happy hour (and reverse happy hour) with both food and drink specials. Next time I stop by, I'd like to check out some of their Korean options. I focused on the Japanese stuff this time (which makes the majority of the menu). Next time around, the bulgogi is calling my name!

Plates were cleared as soon as we were done, water glasses filled. The ambiance is warm and inviting and good for date night and large group gatherings. Even though they had a packed house on Saturday, the noise level was moderate.

I was immediately charged but given no order number or confirmation. As this was highly unusual I called the restaurant -- no record of my order. I was assured by all involved that it was cancelled. Meanwhile an hour later I am texted that my order was completed. It has taken me many hours of texts and chats with uber/amex to get refunded on this ghost order, so... Just call it in, or better yet, eat there. The food and service are lovely, ordering online IS NOT.

With rising food prices, I thought it was a great value. The service was excellent, which can sometimes be hit or miss at small casual spots, and the ambience was nice. The broth and ingredients were flavorful, and I appreciated the sauces available at the table. The fire-broiled soup was aromatic without being overpowering. The food did take a little while to come out, and the broth was slightly gritty. Maybe possibly due to the soup I chose. I also noticed the bowls are shallow and packed with meat and vegetables, so there wasn't much actual soup. When I asked about it, I was told additional broth would be an extra charge, which was a bit disappointing. That said and regardless, everything tasted fresh and delicious, and I would definitely come back.

I also liked the option to add additional sides to add to the hotpot. As for me, their mixed pot of mushroom hotpot was perfect. It tasted healthy as there were ton of mushrooms with many varieties. It also had some pork and various vegetables. Hubby enjoyed their Taiwanese hotpot with extra spice. Portions are spot on...we saw some couples sharing one. The dining room was very clean and service was excellent. Will return to try more things. We're eyeing their pumpkin hotpot next. They also had the stinky tofu hotpot on the menu. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely outstanding gumbo and etoufee, equal to the best I've had in New Orleans. 10 out of 10. About the only negative I've ever experienced is the oysters. Have to admit the oysters were only average. As to the outstanding gumbo, Caeser salads, soups. Just seriously spot on. Everything is cooked right in front of you; and the cooks (and foodservers) are very friendly, outgoing, etc. I normally don't tip the cooks, but here I do. Granted, I worked at a restaurant all through college so I get it. But, Yes Sir.... This place is the cat's meow.

They were busy at around 10:15pm so we had to wait a bit for a table. We also had a large group of 8 but luckily we were able to get seated. Our server did an amazing job with our large group. Some in the group ordered pan roasts and some ordered crawfish etouffee. My friend also ordered clams. I always get the combo pan roast here. It's a mix of crawfish, shrimp and crab. Choose your spice level from 1-10. I forgot to specify a number and just said "hot" but it was not spicy enough for me. I normally get 7-8. I ended up adding in all the hot sauce options that were on the table plus some chili powder. Now that had a good kick to it. Ask for that! Price for the combo pan roast has doubled from before! It used to be $20, then it slowly increased to $30, and now it's $40! It's good, but I can also make it at home and get more for my money.
