Dropped by on a Friday night (spontaneous date night) after trying a few places. The hostesses here were gracious enough to accommodate us even though we didn't have a reservation and didn't particularly want to sit at a bar. It's a large place with a marketplace vibe--open kitchen, large family-style long tables and bar tables with stools. It's pretty loud, but I appreciate that between the beams of their high ceilings they have signs of noise control and sound design. The music was loud enough but not too loud, but the playlist varied from mood to random lol I wish they would've stuck to the more edgy songs. We had two servers, which was interesting, and they tagged teamed each other. It was interesting because they had different styles and recommendations. It is foremost known for their wine on tap, so we ordered a "wine flight", which sadly did not come in a flight or in cute mini glasses (like with beer or cider flights). I told our server what I like and he put it together for us. Out of 4 wines, I liked 3 and the last wasn't bad--just less full-bodied and more tart than what I prefer. To match, we ordered a "cheese board" with two meats and two cheeses. The prosciutto was yum. The spicy chorizo was perfect with the spicier wines. We had the house ricotta with the flatbreads, and some gouda to go with our wines. We had recommendations for these as well, but I got the sense our servers might not be wine-experienced enough compared to a sommelier at a wine bar. They seemed to recommend to please (aka order) rather than to pair. I did appreciate how the board came with snacks and flatbread in addition to the selected items. We got upsold a salad and shared a chicken pasta. Both were tasty. The house salad had strawberries and candied pecans and a very sweet vinaigrette. The chicken pasta came with mushrooms that were perfect! The chicken itself was definitely on the drier side and could've just as well been rotisserie chicken with some pesto. Brunch at Sixty Vines in Reston is a great experience overall. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and gives the perfect classy casual vibe. Amanda our server was so great and attentive, patient, and gave great recommendations. We felt well taken care of. The food was great! And they offer a wide variety on the menu. The only drawback for me was that we ordered a bottle of Sesanta Cava for the mimosa bar, which consists of fresh fruit and a couple of juice options, but the fruit had quite a few fruit flies hanging out so we only used the juices and not the fruit. Nothing a little food fan couldn't handle! Overall such a great time, I'd definitely go back and experience again. read more

Sorry but this was a total bummer. I thought - how great can wine and small bites be! Well I found out how bad. We had to send our pizza back it was so soggy you couldn't pick it up. Plus was spicy sausage and they completely forgot the peppers and fennel. Second pizza crust was better and they put two clumps of peppers and one clump of fennel. I took it home, redistributed toppings, and put in air fryer to make descent. Only thing worth it was the fries. read more

I recently had dinner at Sixty Vines Reston while my dad was in town, and once again, this restaurant did not disappoint. Our family loves both the food and the wine here, and this visit reminded us why it's one of our go-to spots. We started with a board--you create your own pairings--which is one of my favorite features. We chose the Beemster aged gouda, the house-made ricotta, proscuitto, and the pita bread. The board is finished with a drizzle of honey that elevates every bite. Simple, thoughtful, and absolutely delicious. For a shareable, we ordered the grilled shrimp... though "shareable" is a stretch, because no one actually wanted to share. It's served over roasted corn, tomato, champagne vinaigrette, and black garlic aioli, and every element worked beautifully together. One of the standout experiences at Sixty Vines is their wine program. You can build your own wine flight--no pre-selected options--which makes it fun and customizable. My daughter mixed two whites, a red, and a sparkling. As a martini lover, I went with the First Crush Martini, and it was refreshing, balanced, and exactly what I needed. For our mains, we ordered the spicy sausage pizza, the pork chop, and the Atlantic salmon. Each dish was flavorful, well-presented, and thoroughly enjoyed across the table. The space itself is open, inviting, and smells incredible--so much so that you can actually purchase their signature candle. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better visit. Another great fine, the staff gets extra kudos with dealing with my group of co-workers celebrating a departure of one of our own. The staff was Terrific, Chelsea was our waitress and I don't know how she kept all the orders correct . The manager Tony was the best, he and the team were having a tasting of the new menu item and invited us to take part. Everything we tasted was savory, drinks were nice with a kick and yes there was dessert!!! The pics tell the entire store of our delectable meal. Came here for Sunday brunch. Needless to say, it was such an awesome experience. The mimosa bar was GREAT!!! This was something so unique, the price ($34) was so worth it. And, honestly not bad if you really crunch the numbers. I got to drink a couple mimosas but I also got to mix and match what type of juice, syrup, and any fruits I wanted to put in it. The service was great too. My server, Heather, was so kind! She gave my partner and I really great recommendations when we asked her about the charcuterie board. The whipped ricotta was SO GOOD!!! I was obsessed with it. As for entrees, I ordered the brunch sandwich while my partner got the eggs benedict. Both were perfectly cooked and so good. I also love the vibes of the restaurant. I came to Sixty Vines with a large group of people from work, including a vendor we work with. The dinner was a special occasion as the vendor had come down from Boston to meet with us, so we were looking for an interesting new place in RTC, where he and his co-workers were staying. Sixty Vines is interesting, it's obviously all about the wine, but the food should count too. The appetizers were all good, very tasty and interesting. The bacon wrapped dates were a real surprise, as I didn't think they would be popular, but we demolished them and ordered more. The brussels, cauliflower and mussels were also very good. For dinner, most of us had salmon or steak and the salmon was good, cooked correctly and was very tasty. The disappointment was the steak- when the first person ordered his, and asked for it rare, he was told that they only cook them one way and it was medium. I was shocked and about 5 of us wanted steaks and for over $60 it should be cooked the way we want it. I ordered the steak anyway, but just about everyone else switched to something else and I wish I had. My steak was basically tasteless and overcooked for my taste. I'm really surprised that the restaurant stuck to this one temperature rule, I don't think I've seen that anywhere else. Finally, the wine was very good- as you would expect. The service was great as the servers who took care of us were busy, attentive, but not intrusive. read more

The sticky toffee cake is so worth the cholesterol and calories. Service was super and seamless. Ambiance was awesome. We went to Sixty Vines for a weekend brunch and it was fantastic! It was a beautiful day and we were able to eat outside, which of course helped the ambiance that day. Inside is beautiful too; they have casual seating with beautiful natural wood everywhere. The kitchen is open, so you can see how clean and professional it is. The wine menu is, of course, extensive. We had fun ordering flights with some great recommendations from our excellent and fun waiter, Adam. The food was truly amazing. Get the truffle fries! Yum yum! The brunch pizza was another highlight; it's very unusual but quite a pleasant surprise. I look forward to trying more dishes another time. Sending a big shout out to Adam. We've now been twice and have had issues both times. About two months ago we were there, were seated, and had to go find the hostess about 20 minutes later to get a waitress assigned to our table. Last night we went with some friends, had a 7:30p reservation, and weren't seated until 8p. One person told us it was because people wouldn't leave, another said it was because there was a delay in bringing desserts to the tables. The sad thing is the food is very good. In both cases they comped appetizers to make up for the inconvenience, but the experience would be better if there wasn't anything to make up for. read more

5 stars obviously! I've been here before but never had an experience like this, thanks to our waitress Victoria! She started out with the best wine recommendations followed by complimenting us on our food choices (which were all amazing). I highly recommend the steak appetizer and burrata. We asked Victoria to take a picture of us. Not only did she graciously accept as the restaurant was busy, but also offered to take one from the other side of the table. The only downside of the photo was the camera does, in fact, add 10 pounds, even though I am on my weight loss journey. Not Victoria's fault though! As we were leaving, we were chatting to Victoria about how great our experience was and she recommended weekend brunch. Watch out Reston...I'll be back!! read more
