Came for the brews next door and wondered on this side following the lights and so glad I did! This place is a hipster girl neighbor cocktail bar next to the Crooked Run brews. I had a $5 Whisky Sour for happy hour and it was the jam. They have plenty of seating and have fun actys like the trivia. Oh and look at the ambiance. Instagram girls or Nova take note!

Great cocktails after a long day. The staff and service are friendly and helpful. Casual environment with music playing overhead. I really did this place and will be back!

After stuffing my face with a biscuit sandwich and fries it felt like it was only right to get a juice on the way out. It's healthy and it's refreshing so why not???? Right??? Located in the same space as Daybreak, you can get a juice, a mimosa or a beer all in the same place. I got a Crisp and Crisp it was!!!! It combination of watermelon, green apple, mint and lemon. Sure enough you could taste all the ingredients too!!! So fresh that if I had not watched her pull on the tap and watch the juice flow into my cup, I would have thought she juiced it fresh while I waited. The location is lovely, well lit, wide open spaces with plenty of seating. They co-share a space with Daybreak so you can juice and eat at the same time. I did notice a stage in the corner so they may have live performances and such in the future. Looks like from the sign out front they have brunch too!!! It's not just a juice spot though, let me be clear. I like to think its an all inclusive bevy spot since you can get a juice, a mimosa and a beer. Cheers to that!!

I understand wearing a mask sucks. I do it while caring for patients up to 12 hours a day....but seriously wear your mask while you are in food prep areas! Love the food, atmosphere, concept; I've been here many times and enjoy it. Would NOT recommend during COVID.

Throughly impressed!! There's a unique variety of cocktails and mimosas to choose from. We tried the Watermelon Crisp and Blaze mimosas...both were refreshingly delicious. The bartenders are top tier. I've never seen a drink smoker before, but hello Old & New. I love that it's situated next to @DayBreak, drinks and brunch all in one....definitely looking forward to next time.

Nectar is my go-to bar in Sterling. Not only do they offer a variety of beers & wines, they also make fantastic cocktails. Nearly all the drinks are beautiful (picture worthy) on top of being tasty! The food is also amazing, although you have to purchase it at a separate counter from where you order the drinks (two different entities) I've tried their chicken sandwiches, pork belly sandwich and chicken wings and all were delicious. Every time my friends come out this way to visit me, I end up dragging them here. My goal is to eventually try all their cocktails. I wish they had more extended hours, they close at 10pm (last call is at 9:30pm) even on Friday's. I am also personally not a big fan of comedy/open mic nights. I accidentally came during one, one evening, when I wanted to catch up with a friend and it was hard to with a "show" going on. But I'm sure I'm in the minority (there was a large crowd) and will just avoid going on those nights in the future. Also while their menu advertises "select cocktails" on the happy hour menu, there's actually only one cocktail that's happy hour discounted which is the planter's punch!

This is a different concept for the area. It's attached to Crooked Run Brewery and next to Daybreak which is a new restaurant. All drinks here, alcoholic and non alcoholic, are based on cold pressed juiced. I tried the Bold and Brave which had tequila , watermelon, grapefruit syrup, soda and habanero shrub (shrub is a drinking vinegar). Sounds funky but it was a great combination of flavors. The space is big and service is great. I think you can bring food and drinks from Crooked Run and Senor Ramon. Overall it's a great addition to the Sterling / Ashburn area

Nectar Cocktail Bar is located next to Crooked Run Brewery. Plenty of parking. Orange Mimosa - ok Suggestion: provide a water cooler station. I was able to get water from the soda dispenser using a coffee cup.

Okay I have to say, if this bar was a lot closer to where I live I would visit it more often! I love the look, I love the prices, and their mixing is on point. I order the Blood Orange Margarita on a Saturday evening as one of their specials and it was one of the best margaritas I have ever had. The price was great also, $5 and they didn't use cheap tequila either. What more can you ask for. Their specials were reasonable and they bar was clean. Everyone wore a mask and were super friendly. The best part is that it was busy and I still was attended to with professionalism and great customer service. I even got to sample some ciders (that I didn't like), but if I did I would have bought two. I will be coming back again, I just need to find a special reason to drive an hour away from home to visit Nectar again.

The drinks on tap were great but I was really impressed with the hand mixed cocktails. Great drinks and very friendly service. I really enjoyed my visit.

Just the outdoor seating. You can bring your food and drinks outside. There's usually a dog bowl outside too. (Outside is the picnic tables on the brewery side. It's all the same.)

The food was beautifully presented and the wine pairing was superb. Definitely recommend having them pair your wines. The grilled shrimp was a great start. The sparkling rose made the shrimp taste even better. The goat cheese ravioli was probably my favorite savory dish of the evening. The sweet sage-maple syrup-tomato sauce was fantastic. The Sancerre was pleasant with it, although I thought the ravioli itself was more impressive than the pairing. I had to order bread so the sauce wouldnt go to waste. I ordered the lamb medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium, and initially it was somewhat underseasoned. After adding salt and pepper and getting some of the thyme from the plate into the bite, the lamb became significantly better and worked better with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The creamed spinach underneath was delicious on its own, but I didn't enjoy it with the wine. Interestingly, the absolute highlight of that wine pairing was the braised garlic. The sweet, mellow garlic and Châteauneuf-du-Pape were wonderful together. Dessert was the highlight of the entire pairing. The lavender ice cream was outstanding, the Chantilly surrounding it was light and delicious, and the strawberry sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Sauternes was excellent with the dessert, particularly with the fresh strawberry. This was the pairing where the food and wine truly made each other better. Even though I was one of the last diners of the evening, I never felt rushed. My server was very attentive and social which I love. It was very romantic and yet comfortable enough that dining alone wasnt awkward. I'd happily return.

Started with an espresso martini, a smoked Old Fashioned, and the fritto misto to share. Everything was really good. Then we split the lamb burger and the shrimp risotto for lunch. Both were excellent, although I think the risotto edged out the burger. Our server Mike made the whole experience. Before he even brought us water, he showed up with a bowl for Onyx. Come on, that's an instant five stars in my book. We ended up talking wine with him for a good part of the afternoon. He had us sample a few different pours before we landed on a Nebbiolo we loved. Later, after another conversation about wine, he brought over a taste of a white we'd never even heard of because he thought we'd enjoy trying it. It never felt like an upsell. It just felt like talking with someone who genuinely enjoys wine and likes sharing it with people. Relaxing patio, great food, excellent cocktails, and genuinely memorable service. We'll definitely be back, and Onyx probably will too.

Food is OK quality and prices are reasonable if not inexpensive on their specials, like the steak and ribs for only $25. Good flavor and cooked ok but a nice combo for the price. Service is OK with some wait staff being more efficient than others. There were some who knew their customers by name and took time out to talk with them but that slowed down service a little for the rest of us. Nothing too bad but you might wait a bit for refills or something you need after your food or drinks arrive. We had cool fries and it took a bit for the staff to come back to our table to check in the dining room. Similar response time for wait staff outside when we needed condiments that were ordered but didn't come out with our entrees. Cigar menu is an ok selection where there is something for everyone; however, our experience was the place ran out of the first four cigars we selected and each time the wait staff had to come back to our table to tell us they were out of that cigar. Wait staff didn't know what cigars were in stock and which they were out of. Overall, very good experience for both inside the dining area and outside where you can smoke. Recommend The Bungalow Lakehouse as it is a good experience and has a variety of experience options.

The choices were: outside, the sports bar, or the dining room. We chose the dining room. A large group of people was sitting at a table. We were given a booth by the window and right by the server's station. Looking over the menu at home, we both decided that we would get a bacon cheeseburger. The entrees seemed, to us, to be too filling. The bacon cheeseburger consists of: "100% angus burger, apple-wood smoked bacon, vermont white cheddar, canadian cheddar, sliced tomato, and crispy leaf lettuce". We both ordered it cooked medium. The dish comes with fries. To drink, I had ginger ale while my husband had a Heineken 00. Our server was friendly and efficient. He made a mistake, bringing my husband a Coke instead of the beer. My husband corrected him. He apologized and retrieved the correct drink. The burger was dry and overcooked. It was more on the medium well side. In one way, I didn't mind that as I didn't end up with greasy hands or a burger that falls apart. The bacon and the cheese provided some relief from the dryness. The fries came out hot, which we appreciated. All in all, it was an OK experience; we would consider going again sometime.

While there are some good things about the place, which I will list first, there are some not-so-good things. The good --- When we arrived, the place wasn't busy at all. There were a few people sitting outside. The dining room was empty. Throughout our meal, we had the place to ourselves. Our server greeted us and seated us. Masha was very friendly, polite, and efficient. The dining room was decorated with artificial hanging plants. Also, there was a large mural of Eve holding the apple with the serpent coaxing her to eat it. Now for the not-so-good things --- getting to the entrance wasn't easy, especially for my husband, who is waiting to get his knee replaced. To reach the entrance, you had to walk down a paved path with descending steps after parking the car. Upon entry, we had to climb a somewhat long staircase. On the way out, Masha stated that there was a ramp and pointed to a door leading to the kitchen and said we could go out that way. We chose to exit the way we entered. Also, they don't have any printed menus -- just a QR code to scan for the menu. We found that to be off-putting. Fortunately, we had already decided what to order before coming here. We chose to start with "Zaytoun", which consists of "Mixed Pitted Olives Tossed In Extra Virgin Oil. GF". This was a tasty starter. There were a few different types of pitted olives. However, we didn't think that there was any olive oil in the small bowl; rather, it appeared to be brine. For our main course, we both chose "Beef Kofta" which consists of: "Beef rolls served with Lebanese Couscous, Refreshing Tomatoes, Cucumber, & Labneh". The beef kofta was very dry. Growing up, I sometimes had Kofta, and it often turned out quite dry. The kofta did have some kick, and the small amount of very tasty labneh helped mute the spiciness. The Lebanese couscous portion was huge. That, too, helped give moisture to the kofta. This was a filling meal, and we ended up taking some home. Weighing the pros and cons, the cons, alas, outweighed the pros for us.

We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast burger and pork belly breakfast sandwich. We also split the avocado toast as a starter (we were starving!). The avocado toast was perfectly prepared - toast was cripsy on the outside and chewy and thick on the inside. Ample smattering of smashed avocado with the fixin's. The burger was very good and my friend said they would totally order it again. The pork belly breakfast sandwich held together perfectly despite the inside being heavy. The service was prompt and attentive. We started by enjoying a few of the craft cocktails, which were simply wonderful and the product of a talented and adept bartending. If your idea of a good cocktail involves slush or machines, this is probably not the place for you. I enjoyed a dirty martini, as did my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter enjoyed a French 75. All lovely and all perfectly mixed. I would return here if nothing more than the cocktails! For starters, my daughter shared the Pate De Campagne, which consisted of country style pâté, cornichons and toast points. They loved it! My wife enjoyed the Salad Verte and I loved the Roquefort Salad. Both salads were simply marvelous and went well with the freshly baked bread. On to the main event! Fo her entree, my youngest daughter had the Roasted Cornish Hen. She had never had Cornish hen before, but this particular rendition made her a fan of the dish. Perfectly cooked, juicy and savory. My older daughter enjoyed the Salmon en Croute. The salmon was perfectly cooked to the correct temp and the pastry was spot on. A lovely dish and one I will try on our next visit. My wife and I each devoured the Chicken Paillard. This is one of those dishes that is so simple, but the lemon butter knocks your socks off. If it wasn't such a lovely restaurant, I might have licked my plate. Yes....it was that good. I ate every last caper! For dessert, we shared a portion of the luxurious pistachio cheesecake.
