I love Senor Tequila's for Happy Hour! This was the first time that I ate inside during happy hour not on taco tuesday. The frozen blue margarita was tasty and paired well with the chicken quesadilla, which was also on the HH menu. We also ordered the al pastor tacos again, and they were seasoned perfectly. However, they were a little expensive for 5 tacos for the size ($21) when full priced. They did taste good and the meat was juicy, so I didn't mind! The lava cake was also a perfect addition to the meal. It was priced well and was presented very cute. Additionally, our waitress was super kind - she refilled our chips and drinks often and constantly checked in on us. I'd recommend coming here for a casual Mexican happy hour! read more

I'm not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews. You really get your bang for your buck here! The portion sizes are HUGE and you can probably split one entree with another person instead of one entree per person. I highly recommend the fajitas because it comes with so many different types of meats, vegetables, beans, rice, and tortillas! I like how you can choose between corn or flour. The grilled steak nachos were also really good with all the toppings with queso, sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, salsa, and jalapeños. I enjoyed the complimentary tortilla chips and sauce that it came with. I also ordered a frozen mango margarita which is HUGE. Definitely shared that with another person. I went to a Señor Tequila's for the first time on a Sunday for lunch. I was surprised that it wasn't too busy. We were greeted and seated immediately. As soon as I walked in, I was in awe of the decor all along the walls, ceilings, and especially the uniquely painted tables and booths. We got some chips and delicious salsa to start and ordered an additional bowl of queso with chorizo. This was one of the best queso dips I've ever had! Couldn't get enough of it! Then we tried some of their tacos and the Birria tacos were incredible. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. I devoured the five tacos in like a minute. We recently hosted a birthday celebration at Senor Tequila's in Ashburn. We had 43 attendees. The manager (Mario) and the staff were simply exceptional. We had great service the entire night despite having such a large group. The servers were pleasant, cordial, and very attentive. This has been one of my favorite places to hang out - either with family or with friends - and I am never disappointed. The food and drinks are awesome and always prepared as desired. Came here for a convenient happy hour near the metro (one block away!) and it has not disappointed! Their happy hour margaritas are sizeable and you can get tajin instead of salt or sugar! My favorite is the mango but the strawberry is a strong second. Tried all their happy hour food items and the wings are amazing! The fries are great too! Service has been attentive and friendly. The tacos I received were just bland. They were ok but could have been SO MUCH BETTER!!! I ordered through DoorDash and they were quick on delivery, however, the food was just poor. We absolutely love this Mexican spot--it's hands down our favorite. We've tried at least 10 places locally, and nothing comes close to their margaritas, chips, and salsa. Every single dish we've ordered has been consistently fantastic and full of flavor. The service has also been amazing every time, and Mariela is so sweet and wonderful. The atmosphere was wonderful! We waited to be helped when we first walked in and I was going to suggest we find another place to eat. But just when I was going leave, we were shown to our table. We were welcomed quickly when we sat down and the service was great! The food on the other hand was not. My daughters birria was dry. My posole didn't come with any toppings. No cabbage, onions, etc. Thankfully my daughter asked for onions and cilantro for her tacos and I used hers and salt to add flavor to the posole. I had the Tijuana enchiladas. Rice was watery and had zero flavor and same with the refried beans. The only redeeming quality was the beef enchilada. The cheese was only mildly better. The music was horrendously loud and only slightly off key. I did not find it enjoyable at all. I think the fact that the restaurant has no way to deal with the echo throughout the restaurant is probably a constant challenge. The noise level was frankly offensive I won't come back. read more

Senior Tequilas: where the only thing authentic is the regret. It's like they named it after what you'd need to drink to survive the food -- and even then, you'd still be questioning your life choices. I've had microwave burritos with more cultural integrity Food below average and quality of ingredients are basically missing. The service was also pretty bad (we asked for something tasty and this is what we ordered. They won't steer you towards anything good) It all began with the salsa (tasting like a can of puréed tomatoes and zero spice), we asked for something more flavorful and were told to get the "trio" (which consists of beans with no flavor, queso with no flavor and a mostly acidic guacamole), our margaritas were pretty average (yet weak), and the taco salad had a very small amount of lettuce, and was mostly beans and sour cream. I have had better Tex-Mex in a school cafeteria. Skip this place if you actually want something remotely authentic. I wish this lace was good since it is so close to us. Señor Tequila's is a quaint and upstanding Mexican restaurant. I dined inside here once with a friend and my sister. We had tacos, nachos and queso, and a drink or two. I would rate the restaurant experience itself as 4-stars. I (used to) look forward to visiting this place. Great Mexican food. That said, the unfortunate thing is they are owned by Comstock Companies. Who is Comstock? Oh, apparently the worst company ever. They are bullies and served me with a trespassing notice for absolutely no reason. I am apparently now banned from all shops at Loudoun Station in Ashburn. It's been months since I've last stepped foot there, and I treat everyone I meet with kindness and respect. I have reviewed Famous Toastery, Burger 21, and AMC all as 5-stars before -- check my review history. The server tried to tell us that the mango margarita machine was broken so he could only pour large margaritas...ummmmm Really strange response - - if you got the order wrong just own it and do the right thing and charge for the happy hour special. Don't try the McFlurry machine excuse! Nobody's buying it! Honestly, their flour tortillas are probably the best thing they have going here. Really good! Refried beans are good too. Salsa seems to be different every time we are there but in my opinion their best salsa is when they do add lots of diced onion and cilantro - on the up side, I feel like they're making it fresh, in house. We were seated promptly right at the front of the restaurant. Our server took our drink orders. We also ordered queso. We had to ask in a while for the queso which had apparently been delivered to the wrong table. It was just ok; I'm glad we just got the cup. I had the ceviche which was a nice sized portion and quite tasty. My son had tacos gringos - 3 flour tortillas with ground beef and cheese. He said they were good. We went during happy hour and ordered the nachos. i made specifications to put things on the side. when they brought out our food they brought the happy hour nachos with everything on them and then a regular price nacho with the toppings i asked to be on the side. we told the waitress we had only gotten one nacho and instead of making it right she pointed to the toppings on the side of the regular price one and said "here's your toppings" and then walked away without any attempt of resolution. why would i obviously ask about the happy hour nachos and specify that and then ask for a regular prices nacho on top of that? our bill ended up doubling due to her lack of customer service. very irritating. food was good though. read more

This restaurant is decorated with quite lovely art work and paintings. I've been here a few times and it is often rather empty yet the service is still rather slow. I went here because the menu had a vegetarian section and that is helpful so I won't have to call out substitution. She was annoyed that we asked her to check and then we asked to speak to the chef and she refused. She did say that the chef said that they could just add salt to the meat. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!! First of all, the pick up wait time was 15 minutes but they had us wait an additional 30 minutes, only for the food to be cold when it was given to us. We also asked for lemonade but they gave us agua fresca instead and charged us for the wrong drink. They also didn't remake the food when THEY offered to and we were refused a refund.
