It makes me sad to write this review because I had no issues with Homeshield until a few months…read moreago. I have been a customer of Homeshield for years and have had various services - wood rot treatment, monthly pest and rodent service, rodent exclusion treatment. My parents also have Homeshield service their home because of my referral. I want to make it clear that the technicians who service my house continue to be great. My usual technician is Julio and he's always super friendly, on time, and does a great job. My issues in the last few months pertain only to the call center and billing. In April I was charged for my monthly service even though no technician came out to service my house. I called Homeshield to let them know and they indicated I would not be charged for June. When June came, I was still charged for June so I had to call back to ask once again for money back. The call center indicated that I called too late before they processed the payment so the charge would fall off my July billing. At the beginning of July I called Homeshield to schedule my monthly treatment because I was going to be out of town. I informed the call center that I was going to be out of town and that was the reason for me scheduling my monthly service. The call center was able to get my monthly pest service schedule before I left, the call center did not indicate that I had a separate rodent treatment schedule for July 24. I left the country and while on my trip I got a text that my house would be serviced on July 24. I was pretty confused because I thought I had my house serviced and I even told the call center I would be out of town. Due to the 9 hour time difference I had to tell my brother to call Homeshield to cancel the appointment. On July 22, my brother informed me that he canceled my appointment and notified Homeshield that I would call to reschedule. On July 24, I got a text from the technician that he was about 30 minutes from my house to perform the service. I had to respond via text that I had cancelled my appointment and apologize that the call center did not inform him that I had cancelled. I am not too sure what is causing the breakdown in communication but I honestly feel terrible for these technicians not being informed of things. It also doesn't sit right with me that I have to apologize to the technician not for anything I did, but for the breakdown in communication caused directly by the call center. I also am not sure what is happening with the scheduling since before the no show incident in April I had technicians service my house every single month without issue. Update: Bryana from Homeshield called me on August 5 to learn more about the breakdown in billing, communication, and scheduling. She was really friendly, professional, and apologetic. I felt like she was not calling simply for me to fix my review but actually listened and wanted to make sure that as a customer I felt that things were remedied. She thoroughly explained my services and what Homeshield was going to do to help make everything right. She also informed me that she was going to reach out to my dad to make sure his experience as a customer was great. Overall, I am really happy with how Homeshield handled remedying the situation to ensure that I continued to receive better services in regards to billing and scheduling.

Just found out today that I have been continuing to be charged for services that are not rendered…read more We're in the middle of a huge landscape upgrade and didn't need any service for past couple of months. I had mentioned to Darla to skip service because of this, and will resume when ready. But just noticed that I have been continued to be auto charged ($87 each time) good thing I looked as I was getting ripped off. Very surprised of this as I'd mentioned this for multiple months to get ahead of this situation and give HomeShield as much communication as possible. It is crappy feeling to have my money taken like that I called in and spoke with Luca and he was helpful in telling me that I'll get credited back for 2 months, and will have CC on hold so not charged. That made me feel good. He said I'd get confirmation email in a few minutes but it's been nearly 2 hours and no email and my CC still showing no credit/refund. They are happy to auto charge me, but cannot accommodate their current customers with the ability to pause service, causing additional headache for me I'll see if there is anything worth updating if/when it happens. otherwise will go straight to credit card company and dispute charges...I don't have time to keep going back to HomeShield to check if they did their work right Still considering if I will continue with HomeShield once I need service again; but I figure I'll have better choice when that time comes UPDATE: after reading other review of not being able to cancel service, I called right back and spoke with Patricia. I asked to cancel service, but she could not do so and had to transfer me to other department and ask me to hold for "2 minutes". After 2 minutes, she came back on saying no one could talk to me to cancel. Seriously?? I asked if I can get her my verbal authorization to relay my cancel message to someone. No can do, so I have to wait for someone to call me back so I can say "CANCEL" really frustrated now...

The initial setup fee was pricier than the bigger companies, but I did ask them if they could match or beat it. They didn't do either, but they did lower it a bit, which I appreciated. They did express concern that I would cancel my quarterly contract after the setup, which I didn't. Carlos is the technician who comes out to our place, and I am so thankful he is bilingual so he can communicate with my parents. He is always very helpful and explains everything he is doing, and what we can do in case other pests come up (since we initially reached out just for ants). We have now been with The Pest Experts for about a year, and I can't recommend them enough!

We had found rat droppings in our attic but haven't heard or seen any rats, and he confirmed that the droppings were old and while we can do a few preventative measures, there isn't much of a problem. Will absolutely be using this company again for any pest related needs!!

Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.

He was a barely more than our cheapest estimate but he uses his own long-term team and had far more knowledge and experience. Switched routes and chose fumigation for peace of mind and in one day came out and quote once again was under the competition. That in itself was a win but to top it off, a confusion with SDG&E resulted in gas shut off being cancelled. Toby called me at 7pm on a Friday, had worked the issue with SDG&E and his team who originally had the tent over the house by 11am came back and waited 3 hours on a Friday night awaiting SDG&E. Their prompt response and dedication to all my kids and I to come back into our house on Sunday was amazing. I am confident that other companies would have just called it a day and I would have been left scrambling to come up with a new plan and would have had more out of pocket costs. From the first interaction to the last, this company showed honest communication, professional and dedication to the customer. A local business that does things the right way. If you have a pest problem, it might seem easy to use the bigger companies but Annex Pest Control should be the company to choose.

Just a warning, this review is going to be pretty long. But if you're thinking about reinsulating…read moreyour home, that's a pretty big task, so I'll add as much detail as I can to help you! Background: The credit for green energy was ending in 2025, and I had always wanted to reinsulate my home because it was so cold in winter and super hot in summer. I went through many different companies and seeing how people felt about them, and I saw a lot of horror stories. I called up a few companies and found out that insulation is kind of like roofing, where a sales person and a tech comes, where the tech looks around and the sales person tries to scare you into using their company right then. They might say something like "your attic is super hot" (that's normal, well, up to a point), or "we'll give you a special deal if you say yes right now". Just kind of shady stuff overall. One big thing that people mention is that while insulation is good, you need to airseal your attic as well - this was another thing I was looking to get done. Initial Meeting: So I was kind of expecting that when I called Attic Professional. Fortunately, that was not the case at all! From other reviews you might have figured that the owner, Bryan, is incredibly respectful and treats customers well. I got to experience that as well. One thing I was surprised at is he had inside shoes (the kind you see in Japan) and put them on and off when walking around the house. He went up into my attic and really dug around to look for issues like pests or mold (besides the poor insulation layers). We went around the home together to look for clogged vents. He didn't try to sell me on anything - I remember reading one review that said he didn't try to sell them things they didn't need, and that was my experience too. He said they could put more insulation in on my existing one, or take out the old one and put new one in; but neither would have a substantial difference. I went ahead and asked him to remove the old insulation and put new insulation in just for cleanliness. I even later changed my mind and asked for a custom insulation scheme - some fiberglass batting and mostly blown-in, and he had no problem accommodating that. Oh, and they would include airsealing gaps in the attic with fire resistant foam! Reinsulation: A few weeks later, he and his team brought his truck up to my house. They covered many surfaces with plastic drop cloth to prevent insulation from flying around - they taped doorways so I could come through, and they taped cardboard to corners in the house so their insulation blower tube wouldn't cause damage. They put canvas drop cloths on the floors to protect them. There was a bit of fiberglass and debris around after, but it was very, very minor. I understand how difficult it is to be flawless with cleanup, but these guys were very good. The work was smooth and quick - only a few hours. I didn't have to add much input and the team was in and out. Bryan left for another site for an hour or so, but everyone was just as respectful as Bryan, and they told me he was a very good person to work for. Always nice to see that the employees have a good opinion of the company as well. One thing that I thought was interesting is after they removed all the previous insulation, they let me look at the attic and see how they stapled their measuring tapes. Apparently, some insulation companies will scam their customers and fold up their measuring tapes so it shows more insulation than what's actually in there. I was able to verify myself that all the measuring tapes were correct. Bryan and I did a final check on the attic together and I was very happy. Above and beyond: A month or so later, I was very curious about the insulation and really wanted to optimize the house, so I got one of those FLIR guns (temperature sensor guns) to see if the attic was perfectly insulated. As expected there were a few spots that had a bit of uneven insulation (after all, nobody's perfect), but for the most part everything was good. I sent Bryan a text about these spots, and he immediately he and his crew to come add some more insulation and pack it in. Now everything on the camera looks great. I think it's pretty rare to find such attention to quality, and I was very impressed. Results: In the San Diego weather by home would average 63 degrees when outside it was around 48. Now, the house never drops below 68, and it averages around 72 year round. When it's 85 degrees outside, it might be 76-78 inside. I've seen the temperature inside crack 80 maybe twice in the last year, and never seen it below 65. This is with no heater, no AC running EVER. So TLDR: I would completely recommend using Attic Professional for your insulation. Take a look at their price, but I find their quality far outshines anything I've seen, and I think I got a steal of a deal (with the now-removed credit sadly).

You can stop looking right now for an affordable and highly responsive pest control team. Our thanks to Jon Childers, Technical Director of Simple Pest Management. I am writing this review regarding a Solana Beach property. In less than 24 hours from the time Jon stopped by to examine our property, the baited trap he laid for the rodent (rat) successfully deployed. Less than 24 hours! Everything he told us yesterday about where he suspected the rodent would be trapped and the immediacy of the results we could expect turned out to be true. Jon was back here within 1 hour of bring advised today the trap was triggered. He removed the rodent, reset the trap and explained there would probably be another one caught tonight. How does he know this? He explained that there was no evidence the first rat who triggered the trap ate the bait. He surmises that a second rat came by and ate the bait after the first rat set it off. Amazing! By all means, contact SPM and ask for Jon Childers. He wasn't working but I was saying things about rats in my orange tree and hearing them run around at night... this is how I met Chris M. We talked for a minute and he invited me to where he works In santee. I said I work in santee also and we bonded. He carry himself professionally even when he's off work but he speaks oroudky of where he works and invited me to your establishment. These are the little things that go unnoticed but I love the fact that I can attest to his dedication within your company. Ty did a great job blocking entries to my crawl space so that rodents can no longer get in. He was friendly and never put me down for being a Vegan or not wanting to kill the little rats. He was knowledgeable and even install a one-way exclusion door so that the rats could get out but not get back in. The only drawback is that the price was quite high for the provided hours and materials, but the work seems durable, and Ty was great to work with. I will leave this review on other forums, and I will leave an even better one when time has passed, all rodents have been removed and the work is still in place, like I strongly suspect it will be. I would recommend Ty to friends and loves ones. I would use him for other projects. read more

I've had mouse problems two different times and they've been very responsive both times. I've been their customer for quite a while now, and they've always been very friendly and professional, both on the phone and when coming to my house. This most recent mouse problem...I really didn't want to deal with cleaning up the droppings. But Stephanie, the technician told me that they offer a clean up service. The quote was much higher than I was expecting, but they told me that since I was a long time customer, they would work with me, ultimately giving me a 40% discount! Our technician, Michael Jordan, came out for a follow up application. The ants were pretty much gone two weeks after the first application but we wanted to be sure. Mr. Jordan was personable and VERY thorough. He went around the entire house and around our back hardscape and removed all the spider webs, including inside my workshop, around the hot tub and underneath lawn furniture. We use SImple Pest Management and are very happy with the outcome! The patio and kid toys are not overtaken by brown widow spiders or black widow spiders any longer. I have used Simple Pest Management on two occasions. Recently we had a rodent issue so I called them. Dealing with a mouse at home was a bit of a challenge, and my attempts with DIY traps didn't quite do the trick. Thankfully, Simple Pest came to the rescue! When I called AIPM for a second opinion, I was greeted by a very knowledgeable and polite gentleman named Jordan. He spent nearly an hour inspecting our home (for free!) and shared there were 3 locations on side that needed treatment and the situation was not bad enough to require tenting. I asked a slew of question and he answered all of than knowledgeably. We then scheduled an appointment where Jorge, with over 10 years experience came to do the work. He was incredible and as he said, "small and nimble enough" to get up/over/around all the beams to treat areas and do a second inspection in others. He then cared entire attic with a Borax (sp?). It was a very reasonable price and I get a free inspection in 11 months to ensure no new termites, or the work is free. Highly recommend!

We used to have the same tech service our home who was very thorough, effective and had pride in his work. Now we have random techs show up who aren't even knocking down the visible webs. We had a web on the corner of our front door and they left it there. If they don't bother with the most obvious cobwebs, they aren't effectively spraying or managing our property. They've had to return to repeat spray numerous times. They sent a manager out in Nov who did a really thorough job and said he would pass on his notes to the next tech who comes out, but it doesn't seem like that happened.
