I really have enjoyed being a customer of Simple Pest. We switched from Terminix to them and we were amazed at the huge difference in fast communication, and genuine employees. You can tell this company has great integrity, and they were flexible with us in wanting to have bi-monthly service at an affordable price. They even gave us a referral bonus when our neighbors also signed up on our recommendation. We have had 2 wasp nests taken care of free of charge in between our bimonthly services. We just call in and they send someone out within a day or two. Only inconvenient thing I would say is that they usually don't give us a time window of arrival (we just know the day). This makes it a bit challenging managing how long to keep the pets indoors when my husband and I are both at work. However, when I call and ask for a time day-of, they always provide me a 2 hour window. It would just be more convenient if that was sent along with the day they are coming out. This company has been problematic from the start. We hired them to get rid of our rats. They gave us the cheapest quote, so I hired them. Some of the other companies recommended plugging up a hole near the roof. Simple Pest (someone clearly in his 20s) said no, rats can't climb up stucco so we don't need to fix that. Fast forward to months later when we still having a problem with rats. They sent out a more veteran worker who said "Yes, absolutely the rats are climbing up the stucco!" He patched that single hole and we haven't had problems since. Now onto the monthly service. It's crap. Yes, they spray but they never wiped our webs. I even texted them before a service that I would cancel if they didn't wipe the webs. Spoiler alert - didn't wipe the webs. Now let's move onto the administration. I signed a contract that my rep told me was cancel-able with a 30 day notice. I gave my 30-day notice but they scheduled me again for a time within the 30 days! They said they are entitled to charge for one more service after my cancellation or I have to pay a $99 cancellation fee. I rescheduled the service to outside my 30-day window, then canceled it. They then spoke against the terms of the contract saying another service was required after the 30-day notice (NOT what the contract says) sShe said they need to pick up their equipment, so I said OK I would give them $30 trip charge to come out and collect the rat boxes. So what do they do? Charge me the price of a full visit AND the cancellation fee of $99. Needless to say, I'm giving them nothing at this point. Bad service, bad company, bad leader read more

How they got so many 5 stars is beyond me! Gosh, where do I start? Firstly, I called them for my rodent issue inside the house mostly. They provided one outdoor bait box and traps in the house. There should be at least 3 outside bait boxes as there are many rodents in this area. The first technician said my house was in top 3 worst houses he had ever seen. So I requested another technician who had nobody clue about the job. The only good thing about company was third technician they sent, Ty. But he needs to go apply at a bigger company to get ahead. And the main reason they are terrible, was based upon the service I got from Orkin so far and they only did an initial inspection! Orkin offered multiple outdoor bait boxes and offered to seal holes in home. They also found termite poop and suggested only want to deal with both problems most efficiently would be with a fumigation tarp. When one of the managers today called today asking status of my service, I said I don't want to resume service and then then there was just silence and he said thank you and hung up. What kind of customer service is that ? Also Orkin showed up with two guys, another more professional approach. They also have a more superior bait box. I paid way too much to Simple pest. I had wanted to support local business but unfortunately pest control was not way to go for local trust. I hate writing bad reviews but when you see how well other like companies are run, it's hard not to. read more

Found out that I had somehow got bedbugs. Not something. Anyone wants to find out they have. After calling a few various pest control businesses, we decided to go with Simple Pest Control. Set up an inspection. That's when we met Ty, who showed up on time, which is always a plus. I found him super easy to work with. He was great at helping me choose the plan that would work best to eliminate these pests. He was very easy to talk to regarding the bed bugs and did not make me feel awful for having them. which in my head, I see them as an embarrassment. He worked amazingly around my schedule and was extremely patient as I gathered up my 13+ kitties ( had a batch of kittens let me explain the progress so far so he knew where to hit harder, etc... answered all my questions..... left him the key to the place. 2 hours later, text me to know he was done. I replied EARLY EVENING ON 30AUG2023 to their email service@simplepest.com saying I would be unable to make the appointment, but strange enough my reply email was bounced back twice. Then I called off-hours to try to let them know I would be unable to make the appointment, but the phone was ringing for a very long time, then it cut me off. I was thinking to reschedule but now realized that I cannot use Simple Pest. What if I sign a contract with Simple Pest then find an urgent pest problem in the evenings, I cannot even get hold of them in their off hours! (2:30pm 31Aug2023) Ms. Vanessa called me this morning. For the issue of customers unable to send their emails to service@simplepest.com, she said the issue had been identified and fixed. We had a cricket problem and they came right away and sprayed around the house. That night and the following nights... we never heard from them again. We did get dead and alive crickets and cockroaches show up a few days after they came, which they did warn us about. But as of now... 3 weeks later, we haven't heard them at night and has gotten better sleep. They will keep coming back every month to spray the house and when they come, you have to be out of the house for 2 and a half hours. I highly recommend them!
