I used Jake and his team for termite tenting and was pleased with the decision. We knew we had termites for a while but were delaying the tenting because of the life disruption. Yes, that part wasn't fun (bagging up everything), but Jake and his team made it as easy as possible. They showed up on time, kept us informed and walked us through the process. Jake came to our home a few times because we have a unique situation with a granny flat on the property with underground conduit. He was a barely more than our cheapest estimate but he uses his own long-term team and had far more knowledge and experience. Whatever you do, don't work with anyone using day-labor since there is far more likelihood for theft. We had a great experience with Jake and would go through him again. read more

Jake is an excellent pest control professional. We met him through the owners of our previous house and he did such a good job we basically never had to think about pests. So when we noticed an ant problem at our new house this year, he was the first person I contacted. Jake was able to come out right away, took care of the ants in the house (have not seen one since that day) and began treatment to prevent future issues. I have such peace of mind now knowing I won't have an issue with this again. His pricing is very reasonable and absolutely worth it. He's a pro: efficient, reliable, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. read more

Highly impressed with Jake's service. Do you ever call an exterminator and crinch at the thought of what you know is coming. Jake is a rare find. He is so honest. I called him for a termite inspection of my house prior to painting and he was responsive and timely. The cost $0! He could not find sign of termites so he didn't push an unneeded service. We found termites one morning making holes in our kitchen wall. I immediately called W2 as a we had met him the previous year when he gave us suggestions for our fencing and knew he was very knowledgeable about his trade! He answered my call on a Sunday morning and scheduled work for Tuesday. I must have asked him about 100 questions over texts and phone calls as it made me nervous having to drill holes into our brand new patio to do the injections. I worried for nothing, it's like he was never here! The man knows what he is doing and not only does he do an incredible job, he cleans and patches as well and doesn't leave a trace. We wholeheartedly recommend W2 termite and pest management! Thank you! read more

I needed to spot treat my home for termites and repair damage to wood. I used W2 as a second opinion and they were able to provide a better assessment and price than the original company. I liked that they came and accurately marked all the wood that needed to be repaired and scheduled the job quickly with very good results. read more

Jake and his team have annually inspected my property in South Park, SD since 2015 and I've been very satisfied. This year after an inspection, I finally went ahead and had some mold and dry rot repairs conducted. He and his team did an outstanding job. Wanted to give a major shout out to Jake and Tim - they completed my new house tenting and were professional, knowledgeable, and very nice. They showed up on time and did a great job. Also - when high winds pulled down a very temporary water shield on my patio roof, they came right out to do the repair. I felt like I got a great value for my money - and would recommend them without reservation for termite related repairs!! read more

Jake came to do a termite inspection of our home. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He educated us about termites and how they can damage your home and told us about the different treatments needed to control them.  Ultimately, no work was currently required on our home, but we will definitely call him again! In my 20+ year career as a Real Estate Broker, I have seen and used a LOT of structural pest control companies and inspectors. Jake, the owner of W2 Termite, is the ONLY person I would give a five star review to, and the only person I would trust my own home to. I "discovered" Jake about 10 years ago when whatever company I had been using at the time was booking too far out for termite inspections for my escrows. Jake was able to come out quickly. He was (and still is) very personable, down to earth, and extremely knowledgeable about his profession. Jake's inspections are on point, and his bids are extremely reasonable. His company is able to complete repair work on short notice. The last thing anyone wants is their escrow being delayed. As an agent, the vendors I recommend or use for services in transactions are a reflection of my level of service, and I'm very fortunate to have found Jake because he makes me look good! I also highly recommend Jake for recurring pest control service. It was black widow city over here before I started having Jake come regularly and now all my pest problems are a distant memory. read more

Great service and dependable. They are quick to respond and come out to service. Thanks.

Now I may have to re evaluate but as for now, W Squared showed up to the house, was able to walk around the property and I have exterior cameras, so I was able to see the service level from around the house and I have heard nothing back. I am confident, I will be using Lloyd's Pest Control since I have had extreme success, ongoing communication and a positive service experience to date. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say, he lost my email:( I won't allow up to confirm,) I KNOW HE HAS MY PHONE NUMBER However, I trust the experience others have had and say, try them for yourself to gather your own experience. read more

Jake and his crew fumigated my home while I was on a trip to San Francisco. Upon leaving I gave specific instructions on how to lock up the house. The crew ended up locking the house to where no one could enter and SDG&E could not come in to handle the gas. They had to get a locksmith at the house and we had no gas for 2 days waiting for another person from SDG&E come and turn on our gas. While Jake did fix the problem, it was inexcusable seeing he and his crew were told multiple times. read more

Jake at W SQUARED and his team are great. When we found we had termites at our house we got a few quotes and Jake was knowledgeable, professional and absolutely zero-pressure (unlike one of the other companies...the most famous one). We needed our house tented and prior to the start date Jake or a member of his team were always available to answer any of our questions about the process, what to to prepare for and what to expect. On the day of, the crew that showed up was professional, efficient and thoughtful of our home and property. About a month later we found some bugs in our yard that we thought might be termites, so I emailed pictures to Jake on a Saturday evening, not expecting a reply until Monday. However, he replied that same night, putting our minds at ease. They were not termites, but a different pest that, while annoying, would not cause damage. The work done and service provided by Jake and W SQUARED was better than I could have hoped for. I would highly recommend them. read more

We did not have the pleasure of moving forward with Jake from W Squared Termite, but we had SUCH a great interaction with him that I wanted to share with the Yelp community and commend his professionalism. Long story short: when we purchased our home, the prior owner assured us that termite issues were resolved. A few years later we find a pile of termite droppings on our porch and learn that we had been fooled. We called several companies to come out and take a look. Jake was the nicest of the bunch, and the most honest. He did a thorough review, identified many problem spots, and even found a corner where the prior owner tried to hide damage performed. We would have never known! During our home walk through, he had strong communication and listening skills. He understood my reluctance to tent our home since we have young children, but explained why tenting was in fact our best option. He took the time to explain the other options available to us, and the pro's and con's -- which circled back to why tenting was still best for us in the long run. He made me feel comfortable as a potential client. I felt like he was passionate about his expertise and willing to educate me so I better understood what would be going on. I also appreciated that he handles the wood repair services himself. I believe that sets him apart from other big companies that just contract out each of the two phases: tenting (which most all termite companies do since it involves gas, etc.) and then repairs. I think there is significance when the guy who will do the repairs is the one who will also oversee the tenting process. He will make sure that the job done is done right and thoroughly. His prices are competitive and fair. His communication is also on-point. He was quick to respond to my follow-up questions, my scheduling requests, etc. I really appreciated all his work. We do recommend that you give him a call and evaluate your termite needs with W Squared. We appreciated his courteous and professional approach to everything. We will most absolutely be referring forward. read more

I am still in shock. I called Jake to come take a look at a commercial building my company owns. After hearing about the issue from my tenant, he actually called me and told me how to get around the problem without using a exterminator. He pretty much was wiling to talk himself out of the job in order to save us money. WHO DOES THAT!? Jake does. He will be my first call always after that. He made a life long fan. read more

Jake is a superstar. We have used him several times over the past several years. Our first experience was when we finally called for help with our ant infestation. We had been fighting them for years before seeking a professional. Jake came out and give us a very fair price to treat the property. We were very pleasantly surprised to not see another ant for a couple of years. It lasted longer than Jake estimated. He came out today to help us with rats in the attic. He advised us how to seal up a couple of entry points that he identified. He showed us the type of trap to use and how to set it. He was happy to share his expertise. He spent at least a half hour with us. When we were finished I asked how much we owed him. He refused any payment, he said he was happy to help. He is terrific! We can not recommend him more highly. read more

After many calls to other termite company's and I had two separate inspections, I went on Yelp and I gave W Squared a call. I told Jake I had a report but they couldn't get the work done in time and I called a big termite company and told me they don't do local treatment and to try a smaller company. found that odd and I was surprised how many companies I called! I was very happy with the service Jake gave me. He reviewed the other termite report and went to the property the next day. he prepared another report and we got the local treatment the property needed. Very professional and easy to work with. read more

After we found termite droppings, we had two termite companies come out & recommend fumigation. We brought in Jake from W2 for a 3rd opinion & to make sure tenting was our only option. We told him beforehand that we already had a termite company selected and offered to pay him for his inspection. Jake said his inspections were always free. He told us he did not care if he was the 10th termite company we consulted. He just wanted to make sure we had good information and were not being ripped off. Jake arrived on time and was very professional. His inspection was thorough and he provided very clear, detailed information regarding our termite problem and why fumigation was optimal vs. other treatment options for our particular infestation. Jake never used any type of hard sell or scare tactics & he spoke very highly of his fumigation contractor (all San Diego termite companies use a 3rd party fumigation company). Based on the clarity and quality of the information Jake provided, we decided to give W2 our business for the fumigation and we are very happy that we did. The fumigation company (Beneficial) arrived on time. Jake was also onsite for the start of the tenting. The Beneficial crew had worked together for at least six years, and was fast and clean. They took care of pulling back all the rock, bark, etc. from the foundation line of our home. They removed the fence boards with no damage (other companies told us we had to hire another person to remove them). When the fumigation was done, everything was put back in its place and the house looked as if they were never there. We opted for the tile roof warranty, but thankfully, only one tile was broken during the fumigation. Jake was in constant contact with us via phone/e-mail throughout the entire process. The fumigation of any home is not without its inconveniences, but working with Jake & his company made it as painless/stress-free as possible. It's hard to find a termite company in which you can really believe in and trust. We found that with W2, and we are happy to give them the highest recommendation. read more

We called Jake after having had Terminix tell us that we had subterranean termites and providing us with a quote that we did not find acceptable. Jake came to the house and provided a cost free inspection of the house; he spent a considerable amount of time looking around and discussing with me the options for treatment (not including the time we took just generally having a nice discussion together, because he's THAT great of a guy). Jake provided us with a detailed quote hours after leaving the house. Six months went by between Jake coming to the house and when we finally decided to have it done. No harassing phone calls, no stalking, no persistent badgering on his part during that time. We called him, and he said the quote he provided to us six months prior was absolutely still valid. We scheduled, he came to the house, and he conquered/completed the job within a matter of hours. Thorough, professional, tidy with his work/clean up, and kind. What more could you ask for? Thanks, Jake! read more

Jake from W Squared has delivered nothing but the best service, best prices, and overall great service. When we first moved into our house we had a bad spider problem, they were under laundry baskets, in towels just crawling everywhere. I called Jake @ W Squared and he made time and came out the same day, sprayed, cleaned all the webs off the house, and we haven't really had a problem since. With his annual service you can also call him out FREE OF CHARGE if you notice any issues with bugs. And to top it off he gave my little one a bug catcher on his last visit. Little things like that make your clients remember your company. Many thanks to Jake @ W Squared, the service has been nothing but amazing!! read more

I had my home inspected by Jake post-closing just to have a sanity check to make sure there weren't any issues in my home. He took his time and did a thorough inspection and recommendation for the whole property. As he was doing this, I was there along with him, and he broke everything down and explained everything to me in great, easily understandable detail. He went up to my attic and told me that there was a small swarm of termites laying dead on some insulation. He then told me it wasn't a big deal and that my home was not infested or needed to be tented. He also said he could charge me $500 to take care of the problem, but instead he was very honest and insisted instead that I go to Home Depot and spend ~$40 and do it myself because it was an easy job to take care of. He told me what to buy and what active ingredient to look for and how to apply the wood protectant. Jake also explained why a regular home inspector did not mention the termites on his report, because home inspectors are not licensed to handle termite inspections by the state, which made sense because the home inspector would then be liable for anything he says. Jake also pointed out every detail. He said that I should spray some protectant on some exposed wood beams on the roof as well as some exposed wood on the awnings and that I should also screw together some adjoining wood panels. He also said that I should get some clear silicone and apply some to the concrete joints in the garage to keep creepy critters out. Overall, Jake is a stand up and honest guy. Thanks for the free inspection, insight, and tips! I would not hesitate to give Jake my business should the need ever arise! read more

I had love bugs all over my house. Literally, like walking outside into a insect orgy of thousands. I called Jake based on W Squared's great reviews on line. He came over in his spare time. I mean, his Dad was visiting him and he went out of his way, even brought his Dad to help us quickly. Jake was extremely professional in his dealings and very knowledgable. He dealt with the issue there and then. It was inexpensive and immediate. No more dirty polyamorous love bugs. I'm pleased to write this review because Jake has given me invaluable piece of mind over a couple different pest issues I have had with our home during the past year. First there were the ants (and occasional carpet beetles). He came out on short notice and sprayed the parameter of our house and we signed up for a quarterly service that will keep our house free of these pests. Secondly, a mouse got into a crawlspace under the kitchen and died! Yuck! (and the Smell!). My husband disposed of the offender and we had Jake and his team come in and remove old wood and junk the previous owners had kindly left under there (just asking for termite trouble) and sealed off the area thoroughly to keep skunks, raccoons and mice from ever making a permanent home *under our home*! I feel you could probably find someone slightly cheaper than W Squared, but you won't get the feeling of confidence that job is truly taken care of by a real professional. Later this year, I plan on getting my house tented and Jake provided a more than fair estimate for that service as well. When it comes to any sort of pest issue, I cannot recommend any company more highly. read more

I cannot recommend a better termite and pest management company to choose. First of all, they came on time! Most places give you a general window of when they would arrive, but they came at the time that they said they would. After a quick walk thru of our house, they explained in detail what they would do, as well as explained why they did everything they did. I live with all girls, and during their initial inspection they found a dead lizard in our garage (that we would not have known about otherwise), they took care of it and everything! Which they didn't have to, but we definitely appreciated it. I think what topped it off was that if their initial treatment didn't work, they assured us that they would come back and do it again for free! Super friendly and helpful, I'm glad that we chose this company to help us with our cockroach problem! read more

I have worked with many, many contractors over the years and am very choosy and particular at this point. Jake is a high-caliber, reliable, punctual, and responsible individual. Absolutely. I have been receiving quarterly pest-control service at my home in San Diego for about a year now and will definitely continue to do so. Jake owns his company, W2 Termite & Pest Management. Billing is super simple and efficient. When it's time for the quarterly service, he sends a txt as a reminder and bills via email. Last year, I needed to find a solution to help control the growing population poisonous spiders in my yard and exterior structures of my house and garage. I searched quite diligently and spoke with/received quotes from three different companies. Jake's rates are definitely competitive and well worth it! Jake came to my home and spent all the time I needed to ask questions and discuss issues at my property. He didn't try to "sell" me on quarterly service or pressure me with contracts or the like. I was so happy with the first visit and Jake's candor that I called him back to set up quarterly service. Not long ago, I noticed that bees had set up a HUGE hive in one of my bougainvillea. Granted, I love the bees and love having them around, but if you've ever been around a hive of bees protecting their queen, it's another story. There were literally hundreds of them swarming my backyard. I called Jake and asked what I should do and he said, "I'll be there to take care of it ASAP." It's actually part of the service he provides and is included when you are receiving regular service from him. Another *great* benefit and music to my ears. :) Hiring Jake was one of the best decisions I made last year and I couldn't be happier with his work, rates, and work ethic. Give Jake a call, ask any questions you have, and see for yourself. Wishing you all a great day! ~Lori read more
